Guest Reviews
- robert (4/5): a short break ruined - we had booked a break with expedia the hotel we had booked cancelled our reservation two weeks before leaving, expedia booked us into le finestre sul vaticano, I used the expedia site to message the property with our arrival time. We arrived to find no one there and the phone went straight through to answer machine I left a message but got no reply. We tried expedia but they do not reply for up to 48 hours, we were walking to find another hotel when I recognised a bar off the hotels website so we spoke to the barman who immediately phoned the hoteliers mobile. He told us to go back and we were checked in after waiting over four hours on the street they tried to charge us again even though I had paid expedia, as far as the place goes the room was dirty used cotton buds and rubbish in the bedside cabinets the shower was intermittent we never knew if the water would be hot. the towels were not changed in four nights or the rubbish bins emptied we never met the owner so say how helpful he was it ruined the holiday for us and we would never stay there again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Wasn't s advertised and innkeeper didn't speak ANY English.
- Sheraz (10/5): - Staff was so friendly and helpful
- Lorraine (8/5): Wonderful host. - A small but lovely B&B. situated close to Metro with easy access to all the main Roman places.
Paulo, the manager was so very helpful and assisted us with all our requirements, on hand 24/7. with courtesy and kindness.
- yvonne (8/5): Eenvoudige b&b - Eenvoudige b&b vlakbij metrostation, ongeveer 150 meter lopen.
Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar, prima bed. Alleen het ontbijt is net even te simpel.
- Carmen (10/5): Unforgettable experience - Love it, the facility that you can walk until places like the Vatican. So, we didn't spend a lot money or time. Because everything was near to the hotel.
- Susanna (2/5): pessimo!!!! - Esperienza negativa, posizione, camera e colazione!
Da dimenticare!
- Joseph (4/5): - Stayed 5 nights.
3 room B&B in a residential area about 10 minute walk to the Vatican and close to Metro stop.
Free breakfast but boring same thing every day, salami and cheese cold cuts, instant coffee some sort of cereal need some variety.
Provided clean towls after 3 days.
Room ans floor very dusty, needs to be cleaned better.
- Catherine (8/5): Roma - Paulo the owner was wonderful and very helpful. Great value for the price. Not convenient to city center unless you are comfortable with taking the bus. I had lived in Rome years ago and don't mind crowded busses and transferring from one to another. We didn't spend anytime in our hotel and were there only to sleep. The hotel is his private residence and has three rooms he rents out for your stay. The room did have a private bathroom and the breakfast area is a nice large room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Problem with A/C
- Adam (10/5): - This was a wonderful place to stay, right by the Vatican. Loved the manager!!! very nice and welcoming.
If you are checking in at night, be sure to take a cab, its very hard to find if dont know where your going.
Would stay again! Ciao!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad place - This place was in a very sketchy part of town. We arrived at 11:30pm and I was traveling with my 3 sons. We felt extremely unsafe in this apartment type building. As soon as it was morning we just paid for 1 night and left for a safer and better place to stay. The owner tried to fight us on it but we stood our ground and got the heck out of there. They had all 4 of us crammed in 1 bedroom and it was very very hot with no a/c. I've travelled to many places and this was hands down the worst and scariest experience I have ever encountered.
- Juan Carlos (8/5): Bom hotel - Quarto limpo, organizado, ao lado do Vaticano e ao lado do metro.
- Fran (10/5): Nice place, friendly welcome - We stayed here two nights around a visit to the Vatican Museum. I read that finding the place could be a challenge, but I found the address okay. You need to go up to the entrance gate and look through the list of apartment doorbell/buttons on the right side where I found Finestra sul Vaticano and was buzzed in. We got there by Metro, and the walk from the Valle Aurelia stop was a few blocks. I liked the location because it was a 3-4 blocks away from the Musei Vaticani entrance and yet felt like a neighborhood--not full of tourists and yet restaurants nearby. It's about a 20-minute walk to St. Peter's square, around the Vatican walls. The host was very welcoming. The breakfast was less than what we had earlier in the week at a hotel. The room, bathroom, and common space were all in great condition and well decorated.
- Neil (8/5): very close to Vatican - Nice place to stay close to the Vatican and a metro stop. Manager accommodated a couple requests we made (early breakfast, leaving bags upon checkout, etc.), which helped a lot with our plans in Rome. Very difficult to find the building (it's basically a flat in a large residential building), and we didn't get very good directions from the manager when we asked ("it's close to a tobacco shop"), but we finally did find it after some searching. Would stay again.
- MIGUEL ANGEL (6/5): Recomendable 100% - Excelente.
Ganske fint B&B. Værten hjælpsom med tidlig morgenmad. Gode transport muligheder. Småt men godt.
- never again! (6/5): Expected better! - We arriwed around 4pm (checking time was 1-9pm). We rang the bell again and again nobody came to open the door, after 15 min.one of the guest came out and explain he can not let us incos he is also guest! He gave us the number to call the "landlord" who didn't have idea what I want. He said he is on his way. 15-20 min.later he came gave me someone on the phone (lady) who tried to explain that I was send the email saying they have problem with our room and we will be given room in another B&B down the road. So we had to go out of the building and walk maybe 5min. Not a big deal! There we waited in coridor while he was calling someone and ringing the bell. No answer! So we were told we going back to previous place and he will clean "his" room for us! I started to feel embarresed!!! Back in first B&B I was asked to pay so I explain I did paid when I booked! Another phone call to make sure I don't lie even after showing my confirm.email! So now when this was sorted we were told to wait an hour for the room. After 20min we were allowed to get in, beding was clean, under the bed dust, on the sink water marks and toilet well....no coment!!!! Later we were told that we can stay for 3 nights and the last night we have to leave cos there is problem with the room!!!! What problem I have no idea! There are 3 rooms and only 2 were booked. But this mistery was solved on 3rd day when around 11am 8 adults checked in! That's why we had to leave!!!!
- IP (8/5): near metro - It was a great stay however it is not a hotel it is a bed and breakfast lcoated within an appartment building. So there was no indication that we were at the right place. It wasn't a hotel it was a B&B within someon'e appartment. Actually we had a room with bath and shared the kitchen with other guest. Overall it was good. We only stayed one night as we left the day after. Near metro as it is the best and easiest type of transportation when in Rome
- Chiara (8/5): very attractive room/exceptional service - Room was very clean, host was exceptionally kind. Location is close to Vatican but bring a thorough map.
- MS (6/5): Pros and cons - Nice location, although not what the name of the hotel suggests. Worst breakfast ever offered by the hotel, which is more like an apartment inside a building.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Grazioso e pulito.
- Rob D. (10/5): Great value and location - The gentleman running the place spoke English well. We were a block from the metro train station (and I wish I'd taken advantage of that). The restaurant recommended by the staff (Il Fornace, I think) was AMAZING. Next time in Rome, I plan to stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A pochi passi dalla Metro (Valle Aurelia) ! - Abbiamo trascorso 4 giorni a Roma ... tempo stupendo ... sole primaverile ...
Metro yakin sehre ulasim kolay. Sakin bir pansiyon arayan icin mukemmel.
- ??? (4/5): Family vacation - Very close to Vatican, hard to find the place if you don't take the cab. Not a hotel, remodeled rooms divided into 3 separete divisions for different occupants with bathrooms and toilet. It's ok for sleepover but maybe not for family.
- Lukas (10/5): - Sehr zu empfehlen. Grosses Zimmer, gutes Bett, sauber, WLAN funktioniert einwandfrei. Sichere Umgebung.
