Guest Reviews
- Renee (6/5): - We arrived and didn’t know how to get in, messaged the property two hours before with no response. We hit the button multiple times and no one answered so just hung out with our bags for a while a little panicked. Luckily after about the 30th time we hit the buzzer someone answered and got us in. The wifi isn’t posted so that was confusing at first as there are a lot of wifi combos posted on the door that didn’t work. The guy in charge came by and was super nice and gave us the wifi and after that we loved the spot. Perfect location, comfy bed, strong hot shower.
- Alex (4/5): - Kein Internet
- CLAUDIO (4/5): - Wi-Fi inesistente benché ci fossero tre cartelli con tre password diverse. Avvolgibile non si chiudeva completamente.
Camera spoglia.
Mobilio datato e meno dell’essenziale.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good value and nice helpful staff, lovely old building
- Theresa Swee cheng (4/5): - Overall it is OK.
- Josephine (10/5): - The place is nice, cozy and feels like home with excellent staff. We love the family and will highly recommend it to our friends and family.
- Irina (8/5): - Luis who runs the place is really open and friendly.
Super good location close to the Vatican, shops, restaurants, and right next to the train.
Had a little closet kitchen which was great so we could cook and didn't have to spend money eating out every meal.
Great place to stay if you want to be close to things and be out all day and come back to a good safe place to sleep.
Only thing was the toilet didn't work for a bit, not a huge problem for us, which Luis fixed. And wifi was on and off.
I would definitely recommend this place if you want a good and cheap place to stay to explore the Vatican and Rome!
- Stefania (10/5): - Ci siamo trovati benissimo, proprietari gentilissimi e disponibili per ogni informazione, stanza comoda e spaziosa, vicinanza metro e bus, ottimo!
- Imelda (4/5): - Rims of toilet bowls very dirty, showers not clean I’m not used to staying in a place where they don’t give you fresh towels everyday.microwave could have been good.It is close to train stations and Vatican.
- Justin (10/5): Great Value, Easiest Metro access we had - Great room for a great price in a very easy spot to catch the metro lines. Our single complaint was an odor from flushing the toilet. We were sure something was wrong after the first flush, a fully liquid flush, resulted in an awful stench that continued thru our stay each time we flushed. We did not let the management know about the problem, so it's not on them at all. But be advised to ask before booking. If the issue gets fixed, this place gets full stars from us! Thanks for the stay!
- Leeanne (8/5): - Very good was situated close to most attractions and two far from central city by metro we were upgraded from a rom to an apartment which was very good close to restaurants and bars overall very good value for money only downfall was terrible wifi nearly non existent inside unit
- Dorota (10/5): Peaceful place in the center - I was affraid that flat at the Ottaviano station will be loudly, but I was surprised - every time of the day & night it was quiet place. It was safe area.
Staff was very friendly.
Very good price
Thanks for Marlene & her brother (Luigi ?) with 2 weeks old daughter
- Verified traveler (2/5): Good location, poor service. - It's hard to call this place a hotel. It's a room to rent.
Pros: price and location
Cons: Your room won't be cleaned, your towels won't be changed, there's nothing in the shower room: no soap, no shampoo, no lotions, nothing. There's no breakfast offered, though they call it B & B.
Francesco.
- Silvia (10/5): - muy comodo para visitar el vaticano
- Wei (10/5): Good sleeping place - Owner very kind and well located if you want to visit
All'interno vi era odore di fogna.
- Verified traveler (2/5): demasiado malo - demasiado malo
- Zsolt (8/5): Good place for sightseeing - Everything was perfect for us, it's a low budget place but very comfortable for a few days of visit.
Only one thing was bad: the breakfast. No cold cuts just sweet croissants and jam. By the way, if it is said to be from 8 to 10, this period should be respected. Not 15 minutes delay, or the other day at 8:35 nothing was out there and we were just guessing why...For those who plan their days and perhaps have a booked date and need to go without breakfast and quickly find someting to eat on the way, it's not so pleasant.
- DAVID G (6/5): Stay is Adequate - The room was as advertised and very central for what I wanted to do at the Vatican. Had good access to the Metro as well. Enjoyed my stay.
- Giovanni (2/5): - colazione daschifo
- Mariana (8/5): Good for a short stay - Clean room in good location. That's about all. The room, facing the street, is very noisy during the entire night; in spite of perfect weather you need to keep the window closed- - also because of exhaust gases.
Poor light in the room as well as in bathroom. The bed needs to have the mattress renewed. The shower is tiny, but good water pressure.
And, last but not least, breakfast is very poor. 4 days in a row the same prepacked pastries, never a fresh croissant.
- Dario (6/5): Nice apartment near metro station - Stayed for 4 nights. Apartment is very close to the metro. Neighborhood is very safe at night but not very clean, maybe because of the tourists. Make sure they answer back to you if you send them an email because they didn't check my emails so we had to wait 2 hours before they let us in. Overall condition is good, air conditioning works, confortable beds. No wi-fi available in the apartment, breakfast is very limited. Staff is very friendly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great location - Stayed while backpacking in Rome. Ideal location near the Vatican and right next to a metro station. Make sure you call 30 minutes prior to your arrival so someone is there to let you in. Has the world's weakest wifi!
- STEVEN TAN (6/5): Clean room .. walk to Vatican - First timer to Rome ? searching the main door of this address, trust your GPS.. It's an experience .. clean room and friendly tea lady for breakfast.. Walk straight to Vatican
.. be generous you beat the Q ...its Vatican not those typical Catholic Churches ..
- Mircea (8/5): Good value for money in Rome - A decent guest house with good value for money in the highly touristic city of Rome. Very close to Vatican , public transportation (metro, tram, bus), small restaurants. As a minus, wireless network provides weak signal. Overall: Good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great experience - This hotel is conveniently located near the vatican and the metro - exactly as described. There are a couple of stairs to reach the main door of the hotel or a very small elevator as is to be expected of hotels in Italy. Staff was very friendly and greeted us with all the information we would need for our stay. A/C in the room was awesome, beds were comfortable and the convenience of having a key in order to come and go as we pleased was perfect. Breakfast in the morning was typically italian - croissants, toast and of course espresso and was prepared by the caretaker for 830 to allow for an early morning start. Also the luggage storage option allowed us to fit in the last minute sight seeing items that we hadn't quite checked off our list. Quiet location, not much road traffic and great restaurants in the area. The metro right outside the door allowed for a quick access to other areas of town and the lines area very basic and easily navigated regardless of language comprehension!
- JM (4/5): You pay for what you get - It's cheap but not what it says on the listing! This is not a hotel, it's an apartment! You walk two blocks to your breakfast in another building and that's where the wifi is if you can connect to it! We asked for two double rooms that I also confirmed by email the next day but it's not what we got! And they couldn't change change it as they were booked up?! The location is good and the aircon works so not a total waste, so depends on how much you will be in the place.
- anura (8/5): Nice Place to lodge to visit Vatican and Rome - fulfilled all our basic needs, friendly staff, helped us in airport pick up and drop off and many more
- J (8/5): Within walking distance to vatican and shops - When we arrived we found out that bed and breakfast was really a furnished apt in building which was great. However, upon arrival the apt that we were suppose to stay in was under construction and we walked to another apt at another location. The person taking us to new apt was on the phone with little regard that we were there waiting until she finished her conversation that we could then get into apt.. The apt was very clean and quaint but found out that since our stay was short there would not be any cleaning service. The cleaning lady was very apologetic and nice. Also, no wi fi since change in apt and had to walk back to original building for breakfast. Fortunately not a very long walk.
- Crecy (8/5): Lovely apartment close to the Vatican - I recently returned from a 3 night stay with 2 friends at 100 Metri Dal Vaticano and had a lovely time. We were delayed arriving into Rome but despite this, Antonio was very welcoming and showed us quickly to our apartment. He also gave us some local tips and told us to call him day or night if we needed anything. We didnt in the end, but it was nice to know he was there.
We weren't staying on site of the B&B but in a lovely apartment on a nearby street. The location was amazing, it took 10 minutes to stroll to the Vatican and just down the road there were all the tour buses so it was ideal! The apartment had everything we needed (bar a corkscrew but the shop owner very kindly opened the bottle when we went back!) including air conditioning and a tv, though we didnt watch it. Breakfast was back at the B&B each morning and was plentiful with croissants, cakes and as much hot and cold drinks as you wanted. Everyone was very helpful and it was fine to leave our bags there after check out so we didnt have to take them with us for our last day. We didnt ask about the wifi as we always forgot but all the restaurants had it so it didnt matter.
The only thing I found was that the bed was abit hard so i didnt sleep well, however that could just be a personal preference so I cant really complain!
Ultimately a fab stay and we would definitely come again!
- Monica (6/5): - No exactly as described. Internet did not work at all and they made no secret of it at check-in. This was a real problem as we selected a property with internet access knowing that we had work to submit. We ended up having to go to an ice cream shop late at night in order to complete the work. The description also included a lift/elevator is was true to the 5th floor but our unit was on the 6th floor. The shower head malfunctioned. Despite the problems, the staff were nice and the unit had some interesting antique furniture.
- Enrike (6/5): is and ok hotel - when i got to hotel, hotel clerk couldnt find reservation until later when i gave her the confirmation number from expedia, she adv me that they had no rooms and i would get an apartment about 3 blocks from hotel we walked to apartment building and as soon as she opened door it smelled like smokers place, she opened window and told us to allow time for smoke to go away as soon as i got to my bed the bed had a board on bottom of mattress and bed was very hard, out of all the 3 nights we stayed there they never clean our room or offered clean towels, breakfast was ok coffee was cold and pkg crossants and bisquits.......
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great location and price, no water for one day - Excellent location, excellent air conditioning (appreciated as my trip was in early August), excellent price. Room quality was good. The breakfast was pretty lousy. I would have rated it a bit higher, but due to a backed up pipe, the water was unusable for one out of the three days I stayed there. The plumbing is quite old, and I suppose these things happen. However, it was frustrating. Be warned...
- Sal (10/5): Sweet and simple - Had 4day break with sisterinlaw great we place to stay Nilda took great care of us location couldn't have been better i would say this wee gem made our holiday great wee all rounder sal and Ann
- Heather (8/5): Excellent Location, very friendly staff - The room was great for the price we paid. Private bathroom, AC, breakfast and very close to the Vatican, Metro and shopping. Well worth the money for Bed and Breakfast.
- Tania (8/5): Fantastic Location! - Ok, my stay at 100 Metri was comfortable, but there are some improvements to be made. The location was great! Close to the Vatican and across the road from the metro, which made everywhere in Rome easily accessable. But, this room is no 5 star accomodation. The bed was fairly hard and the pillows were very sunk in. To the point I had to sleep with my traveling pillow on top so my neck wouldnt hurt after a nights rest. My bedroom was right next to the kitchen, which meant I got a wake up call every morning as the walls are fairly thin. There was mould on the ceiling and the water system was bad, which meant my water went from hot to cold in about 5 second increments each temperature. Other than that, my room was very clean! The breakfast was humble and the kitchen staff and manager were amazingly friendly. I would of given the service a 5, but unfortunately the guy who is in charge of letting people in at night and on my last night there felt compelled to talk to the new guests at the top of his voice for 15 minutes close to midnight! I eventually asked him to keep it down, but he was very arrogant in a joking way. No apologies given, which was very unprofessional. Thankfully that was the only experience I had with him and the only reason I gave a 4 instead of 5 out of 5 for service. I would recommend this hotel as it is convienient. But if your a princess who need sheridan bed linen, than this is not for you. I knew what I was paying for. So happy with whay I got.
- Mark (8/5): 100 Meters from the Vatican! - This place is great if you only want a home base to do all your activities. it is a clean, inexpensive room close to the Vatican and right in front of a Metro station (Red line).
