Guest Reviews

Polecam ! - Świetna lokalizacja, przestronne i wygodne mieszkanie.
- Javier (10/5): Perfecto apartamento par ver Roma - Ubicación perfecta. Todo Roma a pie desde aqui
- Ute (8/5): -
- Brendan (8/5): A lovely tucked away apartment close to everything. - An excellent location, close to all the stuff that a tourist would like to have access to and quiet at the same time.
- merve (10/5): - The location was fantastic, within walking distance of everything. The best house to stay in Rome. The stairs are very tiring, but it's worth it for the location.

- Damian (10/5): Clean and comfortable apartment in center of Rome -
- Joanna (8/5): - Super location.
Big appartment, fair enough for 5 people.
Nice welcome by Lady with lot of useful info provided.
To be repeated! Few
U small things:
Uncomfortable chairs in the dining room.
Toilet flash not working smoothly.
Kettle not working smoothly..

* Indrukwekkend uitzicht

* Moeilijk met jong kind
* Badkamer, sanitair, apparaten zwaar verouderd
- Tara (10/5): Our host was lovely and informative and the apartment was clean and in a great location. - The location was perfect and walkable to everything. The apartment is on the top floor so be prepared for quite a few stairs.
Lit double confortable.
- Orlandini (10/5): -
- Johansson (10/5): Very nice host who gave us a great introduction and suggestions on what yo do in Rome. - Very good location and great host.
- Grazia (8/5): -
- Janelle (10/5): Perfect position, short walk to experience all the special sights of Rome. - Location was perfect and in a beautiful street with shops, mini supermarket shop 20m away and bus stop 280m. Can walk to all the major sightseeing spots, the furthest being a 30min walk.
Host was very helpful providing a map with highlighted things to see and recommendations for food places and things we should see.
Room was clean and comfy bed/pillows. Need to be fit to negotiate 85 steps up to the room each time. Worse with heavy bags, but worth it for the perfect location.
- Nisha (7/5): Wonderful - Location was excellent- great to sightsee Rome in the few days we had The stairs going up to the apartment were very tricky.
- Tania (8/5): Would definately stay again. - The location was perfect, the beds comfortable and the kitchen great for breakfast. The view was wonderful! The many flights of stairs each time we came and went… especially with suitcases but the building is historical after all.
- Lubka (8/5): -
- Donnelly (9/5): Superb apartment excellent location highly recommended. - Location was excellent, we could walk everywhere from the apartment. Apartment was very well equipped and host was super. Highly recommended. There was a lot of stairs which was fine for us but might not be suitable for people with any mobility problems.
- Zane (9/5): - Location and facilities were very good. Single bed was creaky
- DESTINY ENIGHARU (3/5): - The locations to many important places were easier for us. They were very close and simple to navigate. Many of the items in the apartment were fragile. They were difficult to use as a family of two kids.
Though the building was old and good, the interior design comes with many challenges and fragile items difficult to use.
They were capable of being easily broken and destroyed when you are with kids,
I don't recommend the apartment for families with kids.
Also, the night we were logging out was so painful and distressing because of the alarm that was triggered in the apartment. The alarm started ringing from 8 PM to the very moment (5 Am) we logged out of the apartment .
It was triggered purposely to make us uncomfortable the last night we were living.
My family and I were unable to rest, sleep or relax the last night before we left.
I paid for three nights but the last night was cut off because of the uncomfortable environment triggered by the noise of the alarm..
The apartment also looks poorly cleaned and tidy for the money.
I will not recommend the apartment for families, mostly with kids.
I would like booking.com to look into my complaint and fix them because I was denied one night of the three nights I booked.
They should get back to me considering the pains and discomfort I experienced during one of the three nights I stayed.
- Ece (4/5): Unfortunately unpleasant - The location is good. Unfortunately, our stay was quite unpleasant, and I do not recommend this place for several reasons:
(i) I didn’t expect the climb to be as difficult as it was. The apartment is located around the 5th or 6th floor, and the stairs are very steep. It was extremely tiring to go up and down, which made us want to avoid leaving the house altogether. This might be common in old Italian buildings, but if you’re staying for just a few days, you naturally expect a bit more comfort.
(ii) The apartment was not clean, it had been done very superficial — clearly just enough to make it look presentable at first glance. However, the longer we stayed, the more uncomfortable and unclean the space felt. This was one of our biggest concerns. We even found spider webs above the bed and a cut fingernail on the floor. While I’m not including photos here due to Booking’s guidelines, we do have pictures documenting these issues.
(iii) Balcony was a big disappointment. Access is through a very narrow and awkward little door via a tiny staircase coming from the mezzanine level. It wasn’t at all comfortable to get to, and it wasn’t pleasant to sit out there either.
(iv) When we first arrived, there was a very strong and unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom. While it might have been from cleaning products, we still had to keep the bathroom window open for hours to get rid of the smell.
(v) The kitchen and kitchenware were not in good condition. There was a filter coffee machine and filters provided, but no ground coffee, which made it a bit pointless.
(vi) The host, Marilu, was not responsive or helpful. We had a disagreement about our check-out time and experienced poor communication overall. Messages were replied to with hours of delay. On the morning of our departure, around 9 a.m., someone knocked on our door saying they were there to clean — even though we hadn’t yet checked out. This felt very disrespectful to us as guests. I expected a more cooperative and hospitable approach.
- Yanakieva (9/5): Superb - Top location for Rome. The area is very nice, with a lot of small restaurants and cafes. All must-see sights are on a walking distance. The host was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is well equipped with everything you can need.
Have in mind that there are quite steep stairs which may be difficult for older people or those with mobility difficulties.
- Andrew (8/5): Nice apartment , great part of Rome . Pza Novana really nice. - Location .
Nice lay out of apartment . We booked as a group of x5 but one person could not travel. Apartment was great for x4 but we felt it would have been a bit of a squeeze for 5 with sofa bed next to kitchen . Shower was a bit old and just needs replacing with newer fittings.
- Witkowska (9/5): Superb - Great location with amazing views! It’s not the best option for older or movement impaired people cause apartment is on 4/5th floor without a lift
- Earnest (9/5): Excellent location for all of the must-see sites of Rome! Nice apartment in the heart of downtown. - Excellent location! All of the major must-see sites were within a short walking distance. The owner/host very responsive and helpful for our needs and even set up a taxi service to get us back to the airport. Thank you! Couch not very comfortable. Also, I didn't realize how many flights of stairs we would need to climb. Not ideal for someone older or has knee or joint issues.
- Aikaterini (10/5): Exceptional - Great location in the heart of Rome . Clean and spacious apartment . Too many steps to go up and down as there is no elevator
- Tomas (10/5): The owner and manager were both very helpful and accommodating. This apartment is a real gem and we would highly recomme - It’s right in the heart of Rome, set back from arguably one of nicest streets in town, walk from the front door to all the main attractions… It was great
- Alexander (8/5): Great place if you can handle the stairs - Location is unbeatable. Lots of space for a family. Comfortable bed. Well equipped. Owner is very nice. My daughter left her phone there and he went out of his way to get it back to us. It's 83 steps up to the apartment from the street and there's no lift (elevator). Your need to decide if that's a deal breaker. The water in the shower is just warm enough to be acceptable. It was cold outside when we stayed though, probably not an issue in the summer.
- Alina-paula (8/5): Recommend - The location is perfect, in the center of Rome. You can visit everything from there.( 30-40 min distance from most important locations)
The restaurants are 10/10. The personal is the most friendly I ever seen. You need to be prepared for stairs, the apartment is at the last floor . If you are more then 2 persons the couch is not the most comfortable, but is good. You have everything you need in the apartment.
- Ksenija (9/5): Great location in the heart of Rome. - Great location, beautiful view, walking distance to all the main must-see in Rome. It is important to know that it is in 5 or 6 floor without elevator. Dishes should be replaced, also some maintenance needed.
- Renat_f (10/5): Exceptional - It's a beautiful apartment in the centre of Rome. Great location and host. Exceeded our expectations! non
- Angela (10/5): Highly recommend! Location is incredible and hosts are amazing. - The apartment was absolutely perfect for our group of 4. The location was incredible and both Francesco and Marilù were wonderful. We will definitely stay here again if we get the chance to come back to Rome.
Highly recommend!!
- Luis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Larissa (8/5): Very good - The location is exceptional. Many bars and restaurants nearby It's really a lot of stairs. It's an old building so you have to be prepared, especially if you have a lot of luggage. Other than that, everything worked just fine.
- Fotini (8/5): Very good -
- Lucy (9/5): Quirky but comfortable apartment, in a fantastic location. - The location is fantastic: Via dei Coronari is pedestrianised - quiet and charming - but with quirky shops and cafes/bars, and within easy reach of many sights. The apartment itself was lovely: the kitchen is well equipped, security is good, and the roof terrace is a nice surprise (though too hot to use while we were there!). The bathroom is clean and spacious. Thank you to friendly Marilu, who let us in, and the owner. The main bedroom is wonderful, though be aware it's a kind of mezzanine without a door/wall, if you want more privacy; the second room had two beds, which we wanted, but only a fan, so got quite stuffy. However, the air con in the main apartment and bedroom is great, and there is a good sofa bed.
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Loana (6/5): Great location - - absolutely great location (little markets, gelato shop, pizza place, restaurants near by)
- AC in summer (so necessary) - so many stairs to take, last floor of a quite high building
- small apartment
- mezzanine (hot in the summer)
- Pablo (8/5): Very good -
- Khan (8/5): Overall excellent stay for the price - Apartment was quite large with nice kitchen, Host was very friendly. Excellent central Location to all the major sites. Bathroom was dated and had a funny smell, Apartment is on the fifth floor with no elevator which made hauling luggage a pain.
- Martin (9/5): Superb -
- Marietta (8/5): Very good - Location -
- Maxian (8/5): Solid home base for four exploring Rome. - The location was excellent. Staff were kind and responsive. Kitchen was nice. We enjoyed eating at home. Lots of lighting. Toilet did not flush easily. Pillows were uncomfortable for some.
- Ruth (7/5): Location was good - Location was excellent Welcome information was excessive ++
The facilities were very basic and not very thoughtful in terms of detergent, toilet paper and soap. It was very cramped.
- Marius (7/5): Good -
- Kylee (8/5): Very good - The location was amazing.
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional - Location and that Italian Charm .
- Karen (1/5): worst experience ever. do. it book this place - nothing we were locked out of the building twice on the day we arrived. the code did not work nor did the key. the owner was aware claimed he’d fix it and then did not. the 2 nd time was 10 pm we had to wait a half hour for the owner to come. he was rude and said well it’s the weekend so I don’t want to pay a lock smith. after another 20 minutes he forced the door open and said he would leave the building unlocked which seemed not at all safe. although we were had booked for 3 nights we left the next morning and complained to booking.com. owner is supposed to refund our money however this still has not occured
also the aprtment is located in a dark courtyard no outside lighting at all on the building and that is where we were waiting in the dark to be let in. when we first arrived he sent a women to let us in who also kept us waiting over a half hour in the heat. she also had trouble accessing the building. finally the apartment is an 8 floor walk up with an additional flight to get to the bedroom in the apartment. no where in the description of the apartment does it say it is 8 floors up with no elevator carrying luggage. we were not happy about this and it was certainly a challenge however would have tolerated it for the 3 days in Rome had we not been repeatedly locked out of the building
- Jane (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. - The location was great, very central.
- Charlene (5/5): Passable -
- Anonymous (10/5): Great Location - The property was in the best location. The room was larger than most places we looked at, and very clean. If you are not in good shape, especially after walking around Rome. The stairs to the flat are a challenge. That is the only downfall.
- Hilary (9/5): Superb -
- Aurimas (10/5): Exceptional - Location
- Jake (8/5): Had an amazing stay in rome. Wouls book the same location again! - Amazing Location with great views. The only issue with the property was the check in woman. She was very friendly though she was a little aggressive. She was very meticulous to the point where it took in over an hour for us to check in when we got in after a very late flight. She went over every detail and even when into showing us how to use the tv remote. She also got a little political at some points. Again she was was very nice but she was intense and the check in process was comically long.
- Trinity (7/5): not a bad place to stay in Rome! - close to bus stations, very cute place with a loft, great location between everything! great recommendations for food and activities, and instructions for arrival were clear and helpful! only an allotment of one toilet paper roll for 4 people for 5 nights.
also the late fee if you arrive later than expected is not ideal and unfortunate so make sure to plan accordingly.
also the toilet is SO loud and makes so much noise for a good 2min after flushing.
also no AC so it’s a bit hot and humid. also 5 flights of stairs after a long days of walking really takes it out of you hahah
- Anonymous (5/5): Good location, need a new check in lady - i liked the location of the property and the balcony. The kitchen was well stocked to make meals. The check in lady was awful to us. After walking up 6 flights of stairs, she immediately starting yelling at my friends and I saying she had been waiting all morning for us to check in. She didn’t even say hello or welcome. Check in begins at 2pm so I’m not quite sure what she was talking about. The day prior I had updated our check in time at 8pm so booking.com had our information. She stated she tried to call us several times, but we had not received a single phone call and was very upset I didn’t have whatsapp when that is not an app I use and was never mentioned that I needed during the communication prior to my stay. She then continued to show us every single item in the house and while some things are mandatory, she stayed in the rental for a whole hour showing me simple things anyone can figure out on their own. This lady ruined our first day in Rome when we were so excited about traveling here. Will not be back.
Also, there were cobwebs everywhere and the place could use a deep clean.
- Julie (4/5): Felt deceived since the photos shown on the Booking.com site are mostly of a different appartment. - The location was great. Close to Vatican City, Piazza Navona, Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Also lots of restaurants nearby, so lot’s of options. The photos in the ad on Booking.com are of two DIFFERENT apartments, with 98% of the photos being of the bigger one - which is the one we thought we booked and wanted! This is very deceiving! We ended up with the smaller apartment which is tight for 4 people. In order to be transparent with potential customers, they should have two different ads showcasing the rooms INDIVIDUALLY! The beds were also VERY hard. They felt like we were sleeping on the hardwood floor. The bathroom is TINY and needs an update. The toilet would also screech and scream every time you flushed it.
The apartment is also up on the top floor, so you need to climb over 80 steps to get there. It’s not fun with luggage.
- Joanna (7/5): convenient stay in the heart of Rome - very convenient location, there is enough scace for 3 adults, the staff is very helpful there is no elevator which was not a problem for us but could be for other persons, shower should be better maintained
- Mark (9/5): Great stay in Rome's historic centre - Amazing location for visiting the historic centre of Rome with a group of up to six people. The apartment has plenty of space and provides the essentials for self-catering in the city. The host was very responsive and provided very helpful information immediately after booking, and the hand over the keys at the start of our stay was very thorough with good recommendations for visiting, eating and shopping. We would definitely recommend staying here. Nothing to complain about.
- Anonymous (10/5): Totally worth the price. Excellent Location! - cleanliness, and communication lots of stairs.
- Peter (8/5): Perfect for a family of 5 - This apartment was perfect for a family of 5. great layout and quite. It is on the 6th floor and has no elevator. Good "step master" training. Perfect and safe location. Not recommend for people who are not in physical shape (86 stairs) specially with suitcase.
- Flying (8/5): Great place to feel Rome atmosphere. - Very good location, you can easily walk to most of Rome attractions by walking. And plenty of restaurants and other kind of food around. The Host was very clear with communication and check-in was very friendly. Bathroom needs to be renovated.
- Maribeth (5/5): Passable -
- Maria (9/5): Lovely location but too many stairs - the flat is in an amazing location, with a beautiful view. The staff was super friendly and helpful, gave us a lot of useful advice on the city and even left a map with recommendations the access to the flat has a lot of stairs. we counted 85 steps, which equals to 5 stories. We were with our toddler, and carrying a pushchair, which was very difficult. The flat itself also has stairs, which could be a potential risk to a child. Fortunately the sofa bed is in the lower floor so we didn’t have any issues
- Ioanna (8/5): Very good - location no elevator, too many stairs
- Nikitask5070 (10/5): Exceptional - good location !
- Efrain (8/5): Pilgrimage to your bed - Nice view, cozy.
