Guest Reviews
- Grübler (10/5): -
- Neil (10/5): our host was terrific and location right in the middle of all attractions loved private garden ter - the location and front private terrace garden
- Melvyn (9/5): Perfect quiet location in the heart of the eternal city - A quiet Haven in the eternal city. A fantastic location less than 30 minutes from all major attractions. Would definitely recommend and return to his property again if I was to visit Rome. A complementary wine was a very generous gesture. Nothing
- Sylvia (10/5): Wunderbare Unterkunft und sehr freundlicher Vermieter - Vielen Dank nochmal! -
- Ewa (10/5): -

- Enda (10/5): - A beautiful location in a busy city. Everything you want is close by. Mauricio is a gracious host and most helpful. Would highly recommend this apartment. Nothing.
- Karen (10/5): Lovely oasis in the middle of Rome - Excellent communication pre holiday, met at agreed time, good information on the locality with map to show where things were, delightful apartment, garden area to sit in in summer. Shower water temperature needed careful control
- JONATHAN (10/5): Could not have had a more enjoyable place to stay in Rome - Amazing to stay in such a comfortable and quiet place in the center of Rome. And Mauricio is a superb host. Highly recommended.
- Kathy (8/5): - Great communication, great location, peaceful The bed needs updating
- CLAUDIA (9/5): Comfortable, quiet garden apartment perfectly situated near historic sites - Loved the location and spaciousness of this apartment. Good kitchen, big bedroom and a private garden. Honestly, it was amazing to be so close to the Forum, the Teatro Marcello and other key sites and yet be in a quiet garden apartment. Also, terrific farmer's market just around the corner. Maurizio is an excellent host--communicative and there to help. We loved it! Well, the decor is a little drab.
- Hannah (10/5): A Roman Gem - Absolutely brilliant apartment - perfect for what we needed as a base to explore Rome. It is set just off the street in an enclosed courtyard and so was a little oasis of calm after some manic days of sightseeing. Maurizio was a great host, and gave some excellent local intel and recommendations when we arrived. The apartment had everything we needed and was clean and tidy. We would definitely stay again.
The map really does not do justice to how close the location is to some of the best sights on Rome. The Forum, Coliseum, Palatine Hill, River Tiber, Circus Maximus, and Piazza Venezia and more are all just moments away, as are lots of bus stops and also tube stations that will get you across the city. Trastevere, just across the river, has so many good food options, and we had a couple of meals at the Vigna Roma restaurant just a couple steps away which were so good and the staff so helpful to two tired English folk!
- Adrian (9/5): A charming apartment with a garden, great location near main attractions - We had a wonderful stay in Rome in this apartment. The communication with the host was excellent, he gave us great tips on what to visit and even provided us with a city map. The apartment itself is very charming with a small garden, and it’s perfectly located as a base for sightseeing. Many main attractions like the Roman Forum are just a short walk away, and Trastevere with its fantastic pubs and restaurants is also very close. We’re already planning another trip to Rome, and if possible, we would love to stay here again.
- Mona (10/5): Beautiful oasis in the heart of Rome. Peaceful, quiet, and just a short walk from Travestere :) - Beautiful oasis in the heart of Rome. Peaceful, quiet, and just a short walk from Travestere.
- Lori (4/5): Disappointing - Location Bathroom didn’t work properly
Furniture worn and in need of cleaning
- David (10/5): Rome captured our hearts. - Picture yourself relaxing with a nice glass of wine, the sun shining through the orange trees in your own little garden. And you are in the very centre of Rome, a stone throw from the forum.
Maurizio has been running the apartment for many years so is full of advice and help. Nothing to do with the apartment just be warned if you are going in May so is half the USA. Get tickets for anywhere you want to go.
- Dekaplus (10/5): If you wanna explore Rome at your own pace, look no further than this place - The location and the hospitality of the host were absolutely exceptional. The apartment is delightfully quaint, in a fairytale gated community, right by the Colosseum Archaeological Park, surrounded by so many historical landmarks and practically within walking distance to all the major sights in Rome. Yet, the tranquility which awaits you after a long and busy day are just what's needed for a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The host, Maurizio, went above and beyond in making us feel welcome and comfortable, during our entire stay, and even in returning to the airport. Kudos and appreciation for everything. Nothing to dislike!
- Mark (10/5): Felt like holiday from Minute 1 - We loved this flat and with Maurizio we had the best host i ever had! There are this Insta optimised flats without soul and there is palatine garden - in every aspect you could feel Maurizios wonderful personality in this flat full of culture. Apart from that we especially liked that the hop on hop off stop was only 3 minutes away, the quietness of the place, the smell of the towels and the Orange trees.
- Markus (9/5): Perfect for a week in Rome on your own - Very friendly host, no problems. The appartment is located in a "secret" inner yard between buildings. It is very quiet, no problem to sleep with open windows. Close to Rome's main attactions, local food shops around the corner. The appartment is well equipped and spacious. Lovely garden with two orange trees that give you shade. Internet works perfect. Please be aware that there are moskquitoes in the garden. In case you are very allegic this might not be the best place for you to stay outside. Inside no problem. I enclountered so problems with mobile phone reception, but internet works perfect.
- Robyn (10/5): We had a wonderful stay at the Palatine Garden apartment. Don’t hesitate! If it is available, grab it. - The property was very well located, walking distance from all major tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping. There are some amazing local restaurants and cafes around the corner including one that sells authentic Italian sandwiches and has a professional sommelier to help you with your wine purchases! And another to buy beautiful Italian pastry with a perfect cappuccino to start your day. Our host Maurizio was very responsive and courteous throughout our entire stay. The property was a little dated, but not important as we had everything we needed and slept very well. Although it is in the old section, we felt very safe and were enchanted by the surroundings.
- Shuying (6/5): Location is good ..flat is clean..but facilities is old ..especially mattress like trampoline..bed lining just like two - Location with garden rarely find in Rome The bed lining is maximum two stars..the toilet flush doesn’t work properly..
- Peggy (10/5): It was a wonderful spot to spend 4 days in Rome … Maurizio was extremely helpful…arranged pickup and return to the airpo - We enjoyed the quiet after the chaos of Rome each day…the bed was comfortable and the shower had great pressure. Close to a spot for morning coffee … easy to walk to many historical spots and into different neighborhoods!
- Shai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (10/5): A wonderful spot near the Forum! - Location! A beautiful quiet residential spot despite being close to everything. Well equipped and comfortable. Excellent welcome from host and good communication. N/a
- Sébastien (9/5): Superb -
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - The location was excellent, close to the Colosseum and other attractions. Also Maurizio was great, he helped from beginning to end. There was a great coffee place around the corner as well as a small grocery store that we frequented daily. There is nothing to complain about. The next time in Rome I will try and book this property, awesome place.
- Radim (10/5): Exceptional - Location was perfect, situated in the historical centre.
- Carla (10/5): Having your own little home in the middle of Rome was amazing. Would definitely stay here again - It was a complete little house with full living room, kitchenette, bath, bedroom and even a cute little outdoor sitting area. I felt very safe in the neighborhood. The location was close to historical sites and restaurants, host was very helpful! Lorenzo at the the local store was a plus. Spoke great English is studying to be a sommelier, and makes amazing sandwiches! Maurizio was very accommodating especially with arranging transportation from airport, to cruise and even post cruise. He checked on us to see if there was anything we needed. Washer/dryer. 😬 I was not smart enough to figure it out. It was an older all in one combo. I got it to go through a wash/dry cycle but when it needed additional drying time, I set it wrong and it started washing again. We were short on time and I did not want to bother the host.
- Philip (10/5): Amazing place in the quite garden - Location is amazing quite place and safety,6 days was amazing, Maurizio(the owner) was contacting and helping, meeting with keys and explain everything!!

- Matthaios (10/5): Exceptional - It's a very cosy apartment in a magnificent 15th century building with a charming small courtyard. The location was ideal next to Palatine Hill and near Tiberius river. We received our keys from our kind and hospitable host who gave us valuable information about the city. Overall it was a very pleasant experience for me and my family. I would recommend it without second thoughts!
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Darryl (9/5): Nice apartment in good location - My family and I stayed here for 3 nights recently. Very good location and Maurizo was a gentleman who waited up to meet us at 4am due to delayed flight. Apartment was very clean and has a nice garden.

- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Location and garden
- Margit (10/5): We should have spent another day in Rome. Too much to see and do! - our host was so amazing, the location is ideal, the gardens, the neighborhood, just perfect. Nothing. my only advice is to pay attention to the time on your bus pass when getting around. we got a $60 fine each for having an expired ticket 🙁
- Florentin (10/5): Exceptional - The best place to stay in Rome!
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - friendly owner and very helpful taking the time to explain parts of Rome
- Eileen (8/5): Very good -
- Dmitriy (10/5): Exceptional - Great location (smack in the middle of all major attractions and city center), very clean, tidy and well-equipped apartment. Small, but enchanting garden corner with flower bed and orange tree.
- Lucia (10/5): Exceptional - We were absolizely delighted with the place. Mauricio, the host, was great and helpful. He showed us interesting places to see and shop. The apartment was cozy and the garden was a cherry on top. There was a place to sit and enjoy breakfast and dinner we prepared for ourselves. Location was great, close to all landmarks and very quiet at the same time. Close proximity to bus stops.
