Guest Reviews
Vivamente consigliato!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Ottimo soggiorno. - Bella esperienza.
- Andrew (10/5): Does the job. - Very easy directions given by the owner and very close to a water bus stop. We had room 1 which had very few amenities but was very comfortable.
- Tania (10/5): Excellent B&B - Very nice B&B in a quiet and lovely neighbourhood. It is away from the chaos of Piazza San Marco. However, the B&B is located within walking distance to many of Venice's attractions and landmarks. It is a short vaporetto trip from the train or bus station and a 5 minute walk from the vaporetto stop. The Cannaregio neighbourhood is amazing and you will enjoy how conveniently located the B&B is.
The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The breakfast is fantastic (on a beautiful terrace) and Sylvia is a lovely and accommodating host. She also makes great omelettes. The extra bed we had in our room was not appropriate for my son, and Sylvia was kind enough to let my son sleep in an adjacent room.
If you are looking for a special Venetian experience this B&B will not disappoint.
- Marcos (10/5): In love - Amazing place, commodities, owner, well located, we loved it. Highly recommend. Only thing is that we were on the top floor so if you have mobility issues it might be a problem
- Verified traveler (4/5): nice location but old room - The B&B is at a great location, a few mins walk from Riatlo. We were given a room with a kitchenette, which was a plus since we had small kids. The room was in a clean condition, but it had a lot of mosquitoes. Not sure if they were mosquitoes or bed bugs but my son slept on the twin beds in a corner and woke up with huge bumps/bites all over his face and body. The breakfast wasn't served till 8:45 which i thought was a little late. It was an assortment of packaged pastries & the owner made some good omelette and coffee. The rooms are old and it seems all the sound goes from one room to another. We have 2 little kids and they are early risers. The couple living below our room were rude about our kids and complained that they made a lot of noise and kept banging. Not that they were playing football in the room, they are kids and probably just did what little kids do. However, we were careful after that and even restricted our kids from getting down from the bed and tiptoed all the time. But the lady downstairs still complained and the next morning she was very rude and asked when we are leaving the leave and told us we are troubling them a lot.We had to catch a train and when we were bringing luggage down, she kept peeking from the door and told us she is very happy were leaving. The whole experience ruined our stay. I understand the walls were old and we were considerate when they complained but when i spend money on hotel, i don't want to keep my kids confined in a corner.
- Stef (10/5): - Easy to find. Staff very friendly and helpful especially when we needed to ammend our booking because of our mistake . Excellent basicfacilities including kitchenette for the price . Why look anywhere else?
- Malka (10/5): Easy access to all places. - Friendly staff and close to all amenities good location. Highly recommend.
Molto soddisfatta.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Ottimo!!!!! - Ottimo x qualità/prezzo/posizione
Ci siamo trovati benissimo....periodo fine carnevale 2018
Bon rapport qualite/prix.
- Valerio (8/5): - great place, great location in town
- Giovanni (8/5): Bad and breakfast molto carino e ospitale - Bad and breakfast molto carino e ospitale. A 10 minuti da piazza San Marco. Personale cordiale e stanza arredata molto classica ma confortevole. Prezzo, in base all'offerta, molto buono.
W imieniu rodziny serdecznie polecam ten hotel.
- Larisa (10/5): Super - I loved everything
- Danielle (10/5): - This was the most amazing homey spot in Venice. The owners customer service was exceptional and the room was charming. I will stay here again when I return to Venice.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Appartamento molto umido e disturbato - Ci è stato proposto come alternativa questo appartamento perché il b&b non aveva camere triple; l'appartamento è in zona Rialto per cui centralissima, peccato che si trovi in una specie di seminterrato, per cui molto umido; disturbato la notte perché in una zona dove i ragazzi si fermano a fare festa fino a tardi, senza oscuranti sulle vetrate; sicuramente il livello di pulizia non ha soddisfatto le nostre aspettative (piumoni con macchie e copriletti sporchi con cattivi odori); l'appartamento pieno di zanzare;
credo non torneremo mai più; per lo stesso prezzo si possono trovare posti più puliti e decorosi ;
- Verified traveler (8/5): A côté du Ca' d'Oro - Bon emplacement. Bon déjeuner.
- marta (8/5): - B&B grazioso.Posizione comoda.Pulizia e accoglienza ottime.
- Lea (10/5): Great place to stay at a good price! - It was great! The staff was very friendly and hospitable. They offered us coffee and pastries when we first arrived and left us a map of Venice. Our breakfast was better than usual in Italy and included an omelette. We enjoyed eating on the balcony. We had our own bathroom. It was near the vaporetto stop.
- Roxanne (10/5): Casa Anna - Cannaregio - We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Anna - fresh croissants in the morning, brand new apartment and perfect location! The hosts were amazing and very helpful. We would definitely stay there again! Thank you for everything!
- SSingh (8/5): Nice place to stay in Venice - We stayed at this B&B for 2 nights and got 3rd floor room. There is no elevator, so we carried our heavy bags to 3rd floor room. There are some rooms at 2nd floor, but I guess it's my luck. The husband and wife who owns the B&B are great people and treat all the guests with great care and make very tasty fresh Omelettes for all the guests. The breakfast was great and location of the hotel is very close to water taxi stop and all the food places. It's only 1 km or less from St Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace and Rialto Bridge. The only complaint I have about my room is that it was on 3rd floor, water pressure was low in shower and free B&B wifi was not working in room. I will stay there again if I get a 2nd floor room, which will fix our wifi and water pressure issues.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location; B&B....not much of service. - Its B&B. Good breakfast. Courteous owner. Great location ...But there is no reception, no one to contact if you need anything. There is no sign of the hotel outside so its difficult to spot especially if you are coming in late.
- Reza (8/5): Enkelt incheckning. - Lägenheten var centralt i Venedig. Trevlig ägare.
Ingen mottagning på TVn.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Local Venice Feel - This was a very lovely place to spend a couple nights in Venice. It's right in the middle of things, but still far enough away from all the crazy June crowds. The hotel had self check-in, which was great and the breakfast in the morning (on the terrace during warm months) was varied and delicious. It's tucked away in a quiet alley where you hear the sounds of local life and get some nice warm breezes. Definitely recommend!
- Brian (8/5): Well located but small - We arrived after hours but Francesco had already emailed location details, entry code & room number so we had no trouble checking in. Typically, there is no lift and we were thankful our room was oy on the first floor. Italian breakfst (coffee, bread & eggs) was served on a cramped courtyard or in a separate common room. Service was very good and the location handy to St Mark's square & the Rialto Bridge.
- Noemi (8/5): Piacevole vacanza - Posizione ottima, pulito, caratteristico, personale gentile, prima colazione.
- Alysia (10/5): Comforts of home - The owners made us a great breakfast and were very friendly!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very central. Quiet, clean, and cozy. - Highly recommended. Staff was great. Thorough, helpful and easily reachable. Nice bunch of folks.
- Angele (10/5): Very good B&B in Venice - We really enjoyed our stay here. Good comunication with the owners and breakfast was good. Recommended to everyone.
- Mark (10/5): - Perfect...great breakfast, great area, great owners.
- Marley (10/5): Great value - Such a womderful stay here. Great location and very kind service. The breakfast was delicious and the value was superb!
- Ahsa (10/5): Convenient, friendly and clean. - Al saor is a wonderful place to stay. Very close to all major places to visit in Venice while being tucked away on a side street that is quite. The place is quaint and feels like home away from home. Francesco is very nice, approachable and provides suggestions or advice on places to visit if you are interested. Breakfast is lovely.
- Candy (10/5): Memorable vacation - We had a great stay at Al Saor. The location was fantastic. t was close to a vaporetto stop and walking distance to San Marco. The room was beautiful and clean. The breakfast was great. Silvia and Franceso was very nice and accommodating. Celebrating our anniversary there made it even more special.
- Verified traveler (8/5): nice hotel, convenient location - We really enjoy stay in this B&B, nice room, good service, they contacted us before our arrival to give us instructions. It is well located. Staff is very kind. We loved the homemade omelettes for breakfast in the morning. The lady who made our breakfast was so sweet. It was quiet, clean, and very friendly.
- John (6/5): Overrated BnB, Pricey, Not Honest - poor wifi caused problems to surf for sites in Venice; paid for a triple room, but room is just big enough for a double bed - felt short change on the room; pillows too soft; did not provide additional pillows; TV not working, no change after reporting; poor service - no body on arrival at late morning, even though they said they will be around ; staff did not deliver the breakfast items requested even though they are available; staff not honest - after paying and receiving receipt for full payment, the change was not given. After v long wait and asked, was told no change. Decided to give the change, was told I did not pay full amount. After confrontation that staff issued me receipt for full payment. Then staff return the change which earlier said was not available. Spoilt my trip to Venice.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very Uncomfortable - Unfortunately we were offered a 3 bed facility 50 metres from the main "hotel".
There were 2 showers. The usable one had no hot water. The other is a combined shower/toilet and everything else. Not practical to use at all. The first is up a steep flight of steps that would make a ship look comfortable. There was no wifi in the unit!
- Doris (8/5): Perfect location amazing service - Amazing location - dining and shopping right outside your door, 3 minutes to the canal for transit (and no bridges to cross), 5 minutes to Rialto bridge, 10 to St Marks square. The building is beautiful and our room (sun) was very large with a kitchenette. 3 of us were very comfortable. No elevator so there will be stairs to climb with your luggage (typical for Venice). beds were more firm than I like and the pillows rather flat. Small price to pay for location, amazing breakfast included, and spectacular service from your hosts.
- Anne (8/5): Charming B and B centrally located - Great staff. Good location near the Rialto. Lovely breakfast with freshly cooked omelets. Rooms clean. My only grip was no kettle in room.
- Vittorio (8/5): Get lost in Venice and find yourself. - Clean, friendly and ideally located the Al Saor B&B is steps off a wide (for Venice) shopping street where you can find everything a traveler needs. Sylvia and her helpers make every effort to please and help inform you. My room had a kitchenette in which the tiny fridge came in very handy. Venice is a walking city so any place 10 mins from Piazza San Marco is a good location. My only regret was being constantly on the go and not being able to enjoy breakfast on their terrace which smelled great. Go to Venice, stay at the Al Saor, walk the streets and find yourself by getting lost in Venice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Stay for family of 4
- Great location. Central, but quiet. The owner was very pleasant and professional. Excellent coffee and omelette for breakfast.
- Brian (8/5): Fairly basic but I highly recommend it - Great little budget b&b in good location. Not fancy but does the job for a reasonable price. Bed a little too firm, shower cubicle is tiny but the room was cool and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Service was friendly. Great little place nearby for cheap eats called Fried Land (serves low cost pastas and chicken dishes, etc).
- jorge (10/5): Our Al Saor experience - Venice is, by itself, marvelous…and the stay at Al Saor makes it even better. Excellent, without any doubts!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent service, nice place, great location, nice staff. We had a great time
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hosts were so gracious and took care of all our needs. They gave us excellent directions and we walked straight there. The breakfast was amazing.
- Lydia (10/5): Grazie Silvia e Francesco! - Fabulous! Communication with Francesco prior to the visit was brilliant and Silvia was so friendly when we were there. Our room was small but lovely - exactly what we needed and breakfast was served every morning on a little terrace which was super cute. Fresh coffee, omelettes and juice - what a great start to the day. The area is great with some really great restaurants and bacaris close by. Couldn't recommend this place enough!
- Carolyn B (10/5): Great place for the value minded traveler. - Within walking distance of everything we wanted to see in Venice. Breakfast was great. Good wifi. A good choice for the value minded traveler. Not a fancy resort but a great place to stay for enjoying the local sights.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel - Although the hotel is very difficult to find, it was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our month long trip to Europe. The directions, provided by the owner in an email, are not very good. We ended up having to call him and getting directions as we walked. The room and bathroom are small. But the breakfast, included in the price, is awesome and the location was great. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the hot water, hot. Highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet central location - Very nice stay. Small house, clean, well kept, room not big but sufficient. Very quiet, despite the relative closeness to major sights. Very short walk from the waterbus station Ca'D'Or. Breakfast OK, for people with warm breakfast desires they offer omelettes without surcharge.
- Noelia (10/5): - We picked this B&B last minute, and I'm so glad we did.
The place is gorgeous, clean, and in a great location. I usually never leave reviews for hotels but definitely had to for this place.
It seems to be a home that was renovated into a B&B. It is close to the main street and pretty simple to get to from the train/bus station.
Moreover, in the morning they had a gorgeous breakfast ready for us in the outside patio. Our room was right next to the kitchen and patio area and I was pretty surprised at how quiet they were setting this whole breakfast up because I did not hear a thing. I have a gluten allergy and was fine with just drinking coffee but our host made us omelets too which was a bonus! (And they were so good!)
My only tips before you go: enable google maps on your phone, it's super easy to get lost in Venice with all the bridges. Wake up early one day to check out the sunrise, the colors in the sky are absolutely spectacular! & get a waterbus day pass to enable you to get around the city.
Francesco (the host) sends you a map with the location of the B&B and the waterbus stops nearby which is super helpful.
- Eva (10/5): Quiet Venetian Stay - Great stay in quiet residential neighbourhood with easy access to all Venetian sights and a nearby traghetto stop.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great terrace with breakfast - Our stay at Al Soar was wonderful. It's on a quiet alleyway but close to everything. It was a bit small, but the terrace and breakfast made up for it. The staff were very friendly and we really enjoyed our stay.
- Pamela (6/5): Cosy clean hotel - The hotel was clean and in a nice location. Breakfast provided in the morning. Were able to find some good neighborhood restaurants. Small for 4 adults.
- Phillip (10/5): Highly Recommended - This was a great hotel to stay at, the location was close to all the main sights, the ferry to St Marks square was a minute away, the breakfast was delicious and our hosts were friendly and helpful.
The room was amazing, on the top floor with a kitchenette and the comfiest bed with all the utilities you need
The only complaint I could make however is that you need to have a mobile phone in order to get the code into the apartment because there isn't a check in desk. It isn't a hassle if you have a phone, but if you don't you'll be in a spot of trouble..
- B (10/5): Great location and people! - We got in late and left early due to travel issues, but accommodations were made cheerfully and breakfasts were a treat. Loved it.
- Sheila R (8/5): Great stay -hard bed - Great find for central Venice . Easy to find and very central BUT beds and (single) pillows were very hard .To be fair we did not request more as we were staying only 2 nights. Breakfasts were plentiful and omelettes cooked fresh to order. Use of outside terrace was a bonus. Rooms are located on first floor and above and there is no lift but easily negotiated if you can carry own luggage. Sylvia was very considerate and even called us to assist as our flight was delayed and our arrival was late . Rooms very small but charming.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Make sure your room will be in the main building! - Our room was not in the main building, so we did NOT get the free wi-fi! Be sure to print out and take the small map from the HOTELS.COM web-site. When we arrived, no locals knew of this place or the road it was on. We even purchased a local map and the road was not on the map! We called the bed and breakfast and NO ONE answered or returned our call. Kinda scarey! Fortunately, we had this small map from the reservation and used that to locate the bed & breakfast (with all our suitcases in tow). We had to ring the bell several times before someone finally answered. Our room had not been cleaned, yet and it took significantly longer than they told us before the room was ready (not until 5 pm). Our room was not as nice as those in the main building.
- Lg (8/5): Great location, really happy we stayed there - Great service, if I ever go back I defenetly will stay there again.
- Marek (8/5): Nice quiet hotel. Hotel staff very friendly. - It is very nice place for few days trip. It is in quiet area but close to the shops and river bus station.
We loved to relax on the small terrace after long walk.
Owners are very friendly and breakfast are great.
- kent (8/5): lovely hotel - nice hotel in a good location, staff was lovely, breakfast was good. would stay there again when go back to venice.
- Crompy62 (8/5): Great location and well priced for Venice - Booked this B&B as it was well rated on Tripadvisor and fairly cheap. It was easy to find and nice and clean. Breakfast was an extra but included. That said it was good value and nice. Room was very clean although quite small - same for the bathroom. Owners were nice. Walls were thin and we could hear next door talking and using toilet.
- David (8/5): would stay again - Location was away from crowded masses of tourists, but still close to a main street with restaurants and a McDonalds and ATMs and a boat stop. We walked home a couple of nights from San Marco and from Academia Bridge so it really isn't that far from the main places. Breakfast beat my expectations. Omelet and coffee service with standard pastries and breads on the table. The morning cook was lovely. Good air conditioning as well. A somewhat far distance from the main San Marco hub + very cramped bathroom and bedroom (we had an extra bed) and breakfast area made the price of this place lower than other hotels. The only thing that made this place not a 5 is the cramped space, but I would still stay here for the low price and other positive things.
- Ian (8/5): Uhhhmmmm.... that was interesting - The staff were wonderful, the rooms of our suite were bizarre, in a weirdly wonderful way. Venice doesn't 'do' hotels as the term is usually interpreted. Our rooms (the series of connected spaces that made up our suite) were on a different street from the main house. It would be more accurate to call it a bed and breakfast than a hotel. If you are flexible and prepared for the unusual, this is well located, clean, safe and well staffed. It is not, however, a run of the mill location. As you entered the suite, there were two beds along on side of the hallway. This had a kitchen forming an end of the hall which was made slightly awkward by two pillars. There was a shower and toilet around a corner in the curious maze of rooms and also another shower and toilet at the top of a steep flight of stairs. There was then a door to a short covered courtyard that led to the main bedroom. Our teenaged daughters voted this the 'weirdest hotel room' they have ever stayed in.
