Guest Reviews
- odelon (10/5): amazing hotel - We like how convenient the location is to train station. Everything is walkable. Breakfast is amazing. Our room is and bathroom is spacious, coming from a cruise ship (we appreciate the space). We love how we were given an ancient key to our room. I love the furnitures and decorations. Feels like we're in Italy.
- Hong (8/5): - 3 mins from the train station. Breakfast is good. 24 hrs front desk. However, hotel is old ( can’t ask everything).
- Bruce (4/5): - Very low quality hotel but conveniently located near the Academia bridge.
We were across the street in an unstaffed building. Front door was found open on multiple occasions.
Walls were thin so heard neighbor rooms until late at night. I originally booked another hotel, also Belle in title, near the train station and was given this one at the same rate so I felt it was a bait and switch.
- Margaret (2/5): - The most horrible and creepy experience staying in this room you cannot even walk around. The bedroom is super small, the bathroom everything was broken holes on the walls. The bathroom is a joke. You can’t not even fit there in overall negative experience. The room has smell, dusty and moldy. We got sick with allergy just staying one night. They also assigned us a different room than the one we booked. If you want to have a nice experience in Venice, stay away from this hotel.
- Rodger (6/5): - Hotel is in a great area. Staff friendly and hotel clean. However the room was the smallest I have ever seen. The window was also small, looked into an alley with scaffolds and smelled really bad. Room noisy from any foot steps from above. Unfortunately for Venice you must put up with these issues if you want to pay a little less.
- Jordanyoungphoto (6/5): Would stay again. - The hotel was so bad It was funny... Very faulty towers. Which actually made it quite good. Everything in the room seemed to be broken or held together with duct tape. The elevator was attached to the room wall so whenever someone went up it was like going to space.
I would say this was our most expensive hotel and worst. we had another 2 in Venice and 2 in the dolomites. All of which were lovely and cheaper.
My partner had to leave after one night to catch a train and in the morning got given a breakfast bag which was very nice! This however seemed to confuse the staff and meant for some reason I was turned away from breakfast when I turned up in the morning. I didn't mind I just went and had coffee elsewhere... But they were quite rude and walked away when I was explaining what I thought the confusion was.
Decor is bonkers. Kinda loved it.
- G2087YWjohnc (4/5): Not maintained, won’t stay here again - Old world charm but not maintained. Good location, good breakfast, nice staff, but we won’t return. There were moldy spots, loose tiles, dirty carpets, water stained walls from prior leaks, no safe in rooms. One room had a safe, but it wasn’t functioning. The hairdryer was taped in place, the paint on the ceiling was peeling in places. When we complained they offered a different room, we changed rooms, but each was barely acceptable. The last room could have been nice ; there was a small balcony, but the TV didn’t work, there was no safe, and the air conditioner didn’t work.
- pcsons (2/5): Dont book this hotel - I had a disappointing stay at Bella Epoque Hotel. The room was way too small—more like a cubicle— literally leaving hardly any space to move around. The shower cubicle was minuscule, making it difficult to even wash comfortably. There was no iron provided, and I found the room highly overpriced for its standard.
While the hotel has an elevator, it made a screeching noise every time it was used, which could be heard in my room which was next to the elevator. My room, 210, was right next to the lift, so it was quite noisy. The carpet in the room was worn out and discolored, and the flush didn’t work properly. The air conditioner also had patch work. There was no drinking water provided in the room. This is by far not a 3 star hotel which they claim to be. Vegetarian options for breakfast are very limited, all they offer to vegetarians is corn flakes and fruits.
On the positive side, the hotel is very close to Santa Lucia station.
Overall, the place needs a lot of repairs and updates. I wouldn’t recommend it unless significant improvements are made.
- Excursion23584786632 (6/5): A reasonable hotel with good location - Having read some mixed reviews about this hotel, I came here with some apprehension - but was generally pleased with my overall experience.
First up, the location is very good if you're arriving into Venice by bus or train - it's right beside both and easy to find. We arrived early and were very pleased to get checked in right away (so few hotels do that anymore). The room quality was good as was the bathroom and there was a wall safe - but no instructions. I can usually figure these things out but this one defeated me. Went to call reception for help - but the phone was disconnected.
Came back later and the room was quite warm and went to turn on the A/C - but it was broken. Call reception? Not from a disconnected phone!
Breakfast was reasonable and food selection not bad - though the wait staff will never win prizes for friendliness.
Price by Venice standards was not the worst and, by those same standards, probably good value for money.
Apart from those glitches, our overall stay was reasonably good and I might even return
- Jeff (6/5): - Room was very dark, it felt dirty, mould on the ceiling and shower doors, put it this way after a great evening I was not looking forward to going back to the room. This hotel needs a lot of TLC, I was not a cheap hotel many other better options. I would not recommend.
- Dariusz (10/5): - Great location if you travel to Venice using ferry, train or bus.
- william andrew (8/5): - Typical old Venice Hotel. Staff were friendly. Room was good and breakfast was just what we needed
- Sara (6/5): Great location needs a big refresh and cleaning - We had a quadruple room which was tiny for four people. The bathroom had holes in the wall, and towel rods were loose. Shower was missing something to prevent leaking and so the bathroom was wet each time we used the shower - been a long time issue because there was mould on the bottom of door frame by leak.
The bead cover and decorative pillows were dirty hadn’t been washed.
The location is amazing and it was quiet for being so central located. Breakfast was good.
- O8265YOwillt (2/5): Mosquitoes - Mosquitoes kept us up all night, don't go into the rooms separated from the hotel. Feeling safe now? Its getting hot, turn on the AC, oh wait no, Mosquitoes are coming out of the AC! Did not sleep. Came out to ask to switch rooms, and the security and bellhop guy was asleep at the couch. Went to desk in the morning and they swapped us to a room starting with 100. Book a room starting with 100 you'll thank me.
- philip (4/5): hotter than 95 and no air conditioner - our air conditioner was broken, we told the person at the front desk he wouldn't believe us, finally he came up to the room and said so sorry but our room windows could be seen from the elevator and he said the only room available was a room with one dbl bed and we had our grandson with us so it was not possible.
- Mohammed (6/5): Good location, no lift for some - Vert good location. Part of the hotel has no lift for first and second floor, not helpful for a 70 years old with luggage.
- Oscar (8/5): - My 9 year old told me about someone jumping on his bed while I was taking a shower( about 8 pm ) and the next day when I was typing my work in the computer (about 10 am) my paperwork turned 90 degrees and literally was thrown away.. the staff was super nice about it and gave us a different room… first time in my life that I ever experienced something like this…
- Md. Touhiduzzaman (10/5): - Nice Staff and clean and everything very close to it.
- vishwas (8/5): - Helpful staff
- Carlos (8/5): - Review bath installation
- Kathryn (8/5): Venice charmer - This hotel is located very close to the train station and although it is on a busy, crowded street, inside the hotel is very quiet. A free breakfast is included with a hotel stay. The hotel's decor evokes the charm of old Venice. For example there are chandeliers in the hallway and our room had red and gold wall paper. It was a good value for the money.
- Boon Cheong (2/5): - Aircon not working, room too outdated.
- Lise (6/5): - It is few steps away from the train station Santa Lucia which is very convenient.
- Tsuyoshi (4/5): - Floor carpet was wet. And smell in the room was terrible.
- Laura (6/5): - The hotel needs some updating, so many things were broken or missing. It's a shame because our room was comfortable and clean.
- Patrick (10/5): - Nice little hotel just a 2 minute walk from the train station, which made it very convenient to not have to drag our bags everywhere.
The room was a bit small for 4 people but that's to be expected in a city like Venice where everything is tightly packed. The receptionist even gave us 2 passes for the water taxi which was nice
- Dennis (6/5): - Great location near the bus station and train station. Bed wasn't all that comfortable, AC didn't work, shower was very small, and breakfast wasn't great, coffee was clearly bad instant coffee. Rooms look nice though, and everything was clean.
- ingakY8771OM (2/5): The worst ever - The worst experience ever. Old and dirty hotel. Smell in the room was awfull. Ir was a storm when we arrived, in other case we would not stay there even fro a night. But we left the next morning and changed location. They did not refund for our 2nd night, when we left, even if I suggested to refund not 100%. Breakfast is awfull.
- Jessica (4/5): AC issues - Main Problem was with the AC. We couldn’t control it from the room and it was set to 18C which is really cold (my partner and I are from a very warm climate). Couldn’t turn off or change the AC and the hotel phone didn’t work so we couldn’t call anyone to change it. We both slept terrible because it was so freezing. The bed and pillows were also pretty uncomfortable.
- LadyN84 (6/5): Good location - You get what you pay for here.
Price wise, it was on the cheaper end of the scale, & had a 24hr reception which suited us arriving at 1am which was why we picked this hotel.
Hotel Belle Epoque is in a perfect location nearby all public transport. Just a stones throw from Venice Station and a max 10 minute walk from the bus station.
It is also conveniently located nearby to Vaporetto stops outside the station (water taxi).
Ideal hotel if arriving to Venice late at night & easy to find in the dark. Whilst located in a busy area of Venice, our room was away from street noise.
The hotel decor is traditionally Venetian throughout, including the bedrooms.
Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels and soap/shampoo provided.
Bed comfy and bathroom facilities worked well.
The bedrooms do need a revamp as are tired & a health & safety hazard in places. For example, room 104 had light bulbs hanging loose out of their fitting, exposed wires, mould in the wall fabrics, cracked light switches.
Our biggest issue was the air-con. Room was musty and extremely stuffy causing uncomfortable nights. Couldn't open windows due to mosquitos and the noise from the elevator.
The air-con is controlled at reception & you have to request it be switched on. Despite numerous requests they would not agree to turn the air con on. In reflection it was either broken, or instructed not to turn it on to save money.
Upon asking other guests, they too had no working air-con.
This was a shame because it made our 3 nights' stay quite unpleasant as we sweated all night.
Breakfast however was OK.
Cakes, pastries, jams, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausages, baked rolls, cheese, ham, fruit, juices, yoghurt, coffee etc.
The breakfast set me up well for a long day exploring.
For a hotel just to rest your head in whilst out exploring Venice all day, it is OK.
Staff friendly enough too.
- Elke (4/5): - The rooms are outdated, carpet in room, air conditioner is only turned on if the front desk wants it,
Breakfast is ok, same every day
- Mariya (10/5): - Nice hotel. Very close to the train station and water bus
- RONY (8/5): Excellent location and comfotable - Excellent location .. steps away from train station and water bus. Comfortable hotel nice bed ... great shower. Could have had a small fridge and stand for my luggage for a perfect rating. Front desk person Giorgia was so friendly and helpful. Great stay
- Mirlon (4/5): - Carpet floor so..so dirty! Room so bad the smell!
Toilet is clean. I took a picture of a carpet but I can’t send it for proof what I’m saying. Me and my wife got a fight because of this hotel I got. There’s no time to back out because that day is raining hard.
- Alexander (6/5): - Basic, but worked out well for my short stay. Nice breakfast.
Friendly staff at the hotel but no response was received to a communication through Expedia chat.
- DAVID (10/5): - Georgina at the front desk helped us with check-in and she was friendly, multilingual, knowledgeable, and professional. Thank you Georgina!
- John (8/5): - A 2 minute walk from the train. A decent breakfast and you can leave your luggage after checkout. The beds weren't great but after walking all day we slept great. A good price, would stay here again for sure.
- Massomeh (6/5): - Comfortable room and friendly staff.
- winghoon (8/5): - 3 mins walk from the train station.
Very high traffic all day and night. Simple nice breakfast. Stayed on the 2nd floor with a huge balcony.
There’s a lot of small alley in Venice. So ours was facing one of those alley and it’s noisy when people walk pass it anytime especially at night. Nice big toilets. Room is dusty. It’s clean though. We would stay again for the price we get.
- Eric (10/5): - Great place to be
- Genebeth (10/5): - Excellent service, breakfast is great..they welcome and greet the customer..overall rate is terrific..
- margaret (8/5): - Pleasant hotel no frills but good breakfast. Great location. I would love a coffee/tea maker in room
- Timothy (8/5): - Lovely helpful staff, decent beautiful, hotel a touch tired but authentic. Breakfast ok but not amazing. Thanks
- Jorge (10/5): Excellent hotel and location - Excellent hotel, strategic location near train station, beautiful, breakfast, customer service excellent
- Tanmay (10/5): - Its good but the room was super small; but probably ok for solo travelers
- Fatemeh (2/5): - The staff were not very friendly and the room was small and very dated. The sheets were clean and the breakfast was okay. Very noisy again the staff were not friendly at all
- Bill (10/5): Very good - Room is clean, breakfast is great
- Parvane (2/5): - The condition of the property was terrible 😞
- Richard (10/5): - Excellent location
- Michael (8/5): Ok Hotel - It was conveniently located. The breakfast was good. It was dated and old looking but quaint. The room was small and cramped but the bed was comfortable and shower nice. It was clean and quiet. We tried to pay for the city tax by credit card but receptionist told us they don’t take card, only cash. We didn’t have any Euros on hand so had to go down the street to exchange money. Very inconvenient. We were on the 4th floor but the lift only went to the 3rd floor. But the price was good for an overnight.
- sandhya (6/5): - The hotel decor was atrocious to say the least, the beds were super uncomfortable and the shower was dirty. There were no mini fridges and all that. In addition, they don’t even provide you with a number to the reception so you can’t even call them. It’s hard to even get down there as there is only one working elevator. AC does not work! The luggage storage is horrible, there is no security, no tags to identify your bags and etc. The hotel is not responsible for ‘lost’ and ‘stolen’ bags. 😒 Breakfast was nice and staff were super friendly. Apart from the horrible conditions of the room the location was amazing! The hotel was like a 2 min walk from the Venezia S. Lucia train station and was 1 minute away from the Grand Canal.
- Maria Grazia (8/5): - The air conditioning was leaking in our room and carpet was wet, but they gave us another room which was great. The staff was really nice and the hotel has a really old feel to it so it is really charming. Location is great. Aside from the little issue we had with our original room, it was a good experience. Venice is beatiful
- Mark (4/5): Shocking room, very poor customer service - Cannot recommend this property. Whilst the room decor is unusual, and the public parts of the hotel have a lovely European style, issues with the room were very bad.
My partner and I were not advised how to use the air conditioning. A back and forth conversation with reception led to an understanding that windows and balcony door had to be fully closed before the ACU would start. And that's when things went downhill...
It was approx 1am (we had a late check-in) when the ACU above the doorway finally kicked into life - and immediately it started dripping dramatically. The carpet was getting soaked and the noise made it impossible to sleep. I put the bathroom bin under the dripping water, with a towel in it to try and dullen the sound of water hitting the bin.
We asked the nightshift manager if we could move to another room. There was only 1 more room available - on checking its state, housekeeping hadn't been in. The bed had been slept in and towels littered the bathroom floor!
So it was back to our original room - if it hadnt been so late, we would have moved to another hotel. How we managed to get any sleep that night, I've no idea - by the morning, the large bathroom bin was half full with water!
Thankfully we only had one night booked here. On checking out, the lady on reception just shrugged her shoulders when I complained. Really I should have insisted on a refund. Will hopefully visit Venice again, but will avoid this hotel.
- KLJ (2/5): - I only stayed for 1 night, place needs a good make over the carpets were very dirty!! Very small shower, uncomfortable bed! Ughh
- Karina (6/5): - Front desk lady was not really welcoming and friendly.
- Ali (10/5): - Very nice hotel
- Nicholas (4/5): - No air conditioning made for an uncomfortable and sleepless night.
- Jinendra (10/5): - It was a nice experience to spend a day at the stay. The room had all the amenities neat and clean. 👍
- Andy (6/5): - The property is 170 years old. The staff has limited English command with younger staff more friendlier and accommodating to the our need. It is not pleasant when staff speaks negatively of the guest using a native tongue when I have little understanding. the bathroom is smaller than the new cruise ship staterooms. The four guest room has no walkable space once the sofa bed is used. The air conditioner unit makes a loud noise.
The hotel is located three minutes from the central station and the edge of Venice. It has a supermarket a few doors down. It cannot beat the convince of visiting Venice and back on the train to the next stop.
It is for a budget traveler looking for convincing and secure property. However, one should evaluate another surrounding property.
- Eric (4/5): - Paid for a triple room, when we arrived they gave us a room with a single bed and said we can’t change it till tomorrow. Property was dirty with mold and very dim lighting in the stairwell , staff told us the elevator was out of service when we arrived and had to carry luggage up and down stairs. Staff was arguing with me about the room and why he gave us a single room, his reason was there are 2 adults, I replied I paid for a triple room I should get a triple room. He was nasty and said tomorrow we will fix it, my stay was only 2 days. AC problems too. Next morning they gave us the correct room but we had to stay one night in the single room.
- Graham (6/5): - 1st room we were given was dirty. Very dirty carpet, air con very noisy. Visible stain on walls from air con leaks. 2nd choice room was ridiculous so had to stay one night in 1st room until morning where we got a much better room. Breakfast is good & the service is helpful. Reception could be better presented thought front door windows look like they could do with a clean.
- Pankaj (8/5): - It’s hotel building is old , restroom and carpeted rooms but convenient and happy for a night
- Nana (10/5): - Everything we needed.
- Omar (10/5): - Was so good
- Olivia (2/5): - Don’t stay here. It has not been updated and has water stains or who knows what on the walls. Its not just that it’s old it’s old, dirty, not everything was functioning!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall good and clean but no drinking water available at all no kettle or anything else instead of a office table a sofa would have been good option
- Fiona (8/5): Comfortable hotel, steps from the station. - The Belle Epoque is a comfortable hotel very close to the station. The decor is typically Venetian, and needing a bit of a touch up in places, but the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast is great and the staff were all helpful.
- Tara L (2/5): - It’s hard to know where to begin. The beds were hard as a rock, as a side sleeper I woke up in pain in my hips at 3:30 am and had to take a Motrin and stuff a down jacket under my hip so I could fall asleep - which did not happen until 5 am. We had to ask for an extra pillow as ours was so old it was about 1” thick. The decor was atrocious, which really would not have bothered me except for the dust that the fabric and padded walls, curtain and carpet retain. So anyone with dust allergies beware. Despite being on Zyrtec my nose was extremely stuffed by morning. The heater worked but would not adjust. It was stuck in hot on on. We called the front desk for help and they said 20 minutes but never arrived. We intermittently opened and closed the window throughout the night in order to not cook or freeze. The toilet ran and had to be jiggled to stop every time you flushed and the windows would not lock. There was no refrigerator in room. On the upside, the room was dark and quiet and the breakfast was good. It had scrambled eggs, very important to me. If hard beds, allergies, and sleeping in a sauna doesn’t bother you, this may be a place for you.
- Jenny (6/5): - great location! but the hotel is really need to do some renovation.
- Angela (4/5): - On the photo, this place looks nice, but looks can be deceiving. The room is so small that didn’t have any place put our two luggage. They put us a room on the first floor right next to stair case. We opened the window a little bit to get fresh air( air conditioning wasn’t working), more than 20 mosquitos came through the window started biting us. I told a guy at the front desk about it and asked if they had a bug spray, he said he couldn’t find it and told us to buy it at the store and talked to the morning front desk person to get a reimbursement.
So I bought ( paid $5.99) it, sprayed the entire room.
Next morning, I had explained her what happened and asked reimbursement ,she
said she couldn’t reimburse me because they had a mosquito spray equipped, but front desk guy couldn’t find it. On my way check out, I just left the bug spray on the front desk counter to use it for other customers.
I felt that employees here wouldn’t care about customer’s well -being.
I definitely would not recommend this place
- Susan (8/5): - Good last cation near the Grand Canal and train station. Water buses and taxis are also nearby. Very good restaurants in the area along with shopping. Staff were very helpful. The rooms were quite nice. Breakfast was also good. Overall a positive experience.
- Helen (6/5): - It was quaint in the lobby. Room decor was outdated. Room was stuffy. No AC. Had to leave windows open but too many mosquitoes. Gotten lots of bites. The shower head holder was broken. I had to hold it over my head to shower. Shower was tiny as one you see in an RV. It was ok for the price.
- Jianhua (10/5): - Excellent
- Ayde (10/5): - great location
- Christina (8/5): - Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Bathroom was very clean. Beds were not very comfortable however room was spacious
- Jeffrey (10/5): - exceptional property and the location cannot be beat. Walkable distance from the train station, airport water shuttle, bus station, etc. No bridges to cross from train station.
- Colin (10/5): Great Location AND Value! - Great location and beautiful Venetian chandeliers in the room and the dining room. Hotel and the room were very clean and although my room was next to the elevator, it was very quiet. Breakfast had a lot to choose from and Alberto at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We arrive at the Hotel but the hotel has been closed for more than a year. We have to call to annum we that is pasted on a paper on an abandoned property to been said that we have to take a bot taxi to move to a new hotel 45’ from Belle Epoqie. We stayed at Hotel Arti. At La Acasemia. Beautiful hotel. But we learned about this change once we arrive at Venice. None let us know this in advance. We were not prepare for this. Why you publish and sell a hotel that has been closed for a year?!
- JL (8/5): - Near to station, convenient and friendly staffs but old building and facilities but it doesn't matter because we only stayed for 1 night. Overall it was good and we don't mind staying again.
- Mark (10/5): excellent staff dated rooms - the staff are excellent and always helpful the breakfasts are well equipped , the rooms are a bit dated and can be refreshed.
- Fiona (8/5): Cheerful in disastrous circumstances! - Unfortunately, our stay at the Belle Époque coincided with the worst Acqua Alta for 50 years and the hotel-like everywhere in Venice- was flooded. Thus, the average rating for cleanliness, comfort etc.
I have to say though, that the staff kept the hotel running in exceptionally difficult circumstances, in a cheery and pragmatic manner, and have to thank them for that as it certainly wasn’t the approach taken to visitors by most Venetians we encountered during our stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff. Great location close to bus and train stations. Good European breakfast
- Gary (6/5): perfect location - everything was fine. perfect location. 3 minutes from train station, and 1 minute walk to the canal. many many many restaurants. the only negative comment is the internet. NO INTERNET in our room. just a minor inconvenience
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We were up graded to a superior room- Probably because we have stayed there on three occasions.
- Connie (6/5): Average - The room had a strange smell. When we left everything we had with us smelled as well. Tge air conditioner was very loud.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The was a little small if you’re 6 foot it would’ve been a little bit uncomfortable due to low ceiling and I had a poor climate control unit
- peter (10/5): - Great central place to stay. Staff always friendly and helpful.. breakfast great. Room extremely small and hotel a little tired. But I would stay there again
- Yau (4/5): - The reception looks nice and clean , air con good.Breakfast ok . Do not like the male receptionist, very rude and unhelpful. Overcharge us with the tax on the last day , we paid for three adults tax instead of two adult and one child. We had to go back to get our money back!
- Verified traveler (10/5): A good place to stay near Train Station - We were happy with our stay. It was very convenient, just a couple of minute walk from the train station and a good starting point for exploring the area. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were nice.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No amenities, unfriendly staff, safe box was not working
- Mariana (6/5): - The room was stuffy and made us feel claustrophobic, the plus was that it was half a block from the train station, this was the reason why we booked it there, but upon arrival was offered instead of two twin bed a single double bed and barely had room to move around the sides of the bed. Offered an attic room which was more like punishment, so many people had left the hotel but they only offered two rooms, we went to the sister hotel on the other side of the island, the room was nicer and with two beds, we slept well just had to run to the train station the next morning. it was a memorable overnight stay in Venice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Slow Wifi, very hot and humid room, poor air conditioning.
The bed was horrible, it had broken springs and had collapsed on one side
- Caroline (4/5): - At one time, this was a grand hotel. Now, it's just faded and dirty. On the surface, it looks great with marble and beautiful chandeliers and light fixtures. The common areas are nice and the sink with live fish by the bathrooms was cute. There's an elevator. The breakfast was decent. The location was easy and convenient from the train station. The staff was helpful. There were lots of shops around it.
However, the room needed a good scrubbing. The wall coverings were fabric which was interesting and bright. The fabric must have absorbed the dirt and didn't make up for the scuffed woodwork and icky carpet. My room needed a little, no, a lot of love. We faced the back and it was quiet. However, hot water was non-existent even late at night.
I wanted to love this hotel but I just couldn't get passed the grimy feeling and lack of hot water. I'm glad we only stayed one night because more would have felt like an ordeal. I'd say it was an adequate passing-through hotel but do not linger.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - There was a mixup on the reservations, and no help was forthcoming. I chose another lodging.
- Mark (8/5): Nice little place to stay - Nice little hotel situated close to the train station. We caught the alilaguna water bus at the airport to Guglie and the hotel is only 2mins walk from there.
Room was small but comfortable. Only problem we found was the the walls are very thin meaning we could hear the chap in the next room snoring all night!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Central location, clean and well maintained. Traditional feel, comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff is very polite, friendly and helpful. All the rooms are very clean The environment is unique. The hotel is on perfect location. We had the most delicious breakfast ever with veriiety of specific Italian and world dishes. We would definitely come back in this hotel.
- salvatore (8/5): - Big room breakfast good and clean room staff good
- Nicole (10/5): - Fantastic little hotel in a great area! After reading reviews we were just expecting a base so on arrival we were so surprised! It’s so easy to find, minutes from the bus or train station (so forget those expensive transfers!) and it’s in a great area for eating out, lots of tourist menus around 10-15 euro’s per person. Arrival at the hotel bought smiles, it might be small but it’s beautiful! Check in was fast and friendly, room tax mentioned so no issues on departure, note we were prepaid but tax is mentioned in the small print and applies to all hotels in Venice. Room beautiful! Yes, on the small side but perfectly adequate, balcony overlooked a small courtyard but didn’t venture out as temperatures were near freezing! Bathroom very small but functional, shower was excellent! We visited in January and the room was always lovely and warm... very welcome after a hard days exploring! Breakfast I couldn’t fault, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cake, juice, coffee. Hot selection eggs, bacon, sometimes sausage but if your British please remember you are in Italy! There’s plenty of choice and the breakfast room is lovely! Overall could not fault this hotel for the price (we paid around £45 per night for two of us including breakfast!). Around 30 minutes stroll to San Marco or the Vaporetto stop is minutes away. Wouldn’t hesitate to use again 😊
- FIONA (8/5): Comfortable hotel, great for transport links. - Stayed here before. Really handy for the railway station. Clean, comfortable, efficient. Good breakfast, venetian style decor, not the most picturesque spot!
