Guest Reviews
- Kate (8/5): - Unit is close to the main train station and central to walking to all the main sites. Lots of restaurants and stores in area as well. The room was clean and the bed nice, the staff was super helpful with check-in as check-in times are a bit earlier than normal.
- María de Lourdes (10/5): - It was great! They were in communication with me from a few days prior to my arrival. The hotel is like 5 minutes away from Roma Termini, and
- Veronika (10/5): - Very clean, Reception was always available via WhatsApp, great service
- Margaret (10/5): Excellent stay! - This was the perfect place to stay! The room is small but efficient and really clean. Sara was a huge help in sending instructions to check myself in and let me store my luggage after check out for the day.
I would absolutely stay here again!
- Martin (10/5): - Close to Roma Termini. Easy Waking around.
- Mariana (10/5): - Maravilhosa
- Mellissa (8/5): - Convenient location to the train station. Reliable Wi-Fi-. Mini fridge was helpful. Only negative was the power went out for the night so I didn't have a/c until the next day when they could reset the breaker. I had my laptop and phone plugged and somehow it caused a power outage so just a warning! Bed was comfortable. The windows were soundproof. All in all, very good stay.
- Scott (8/5): - Good location, difficulty with payment method.
- Charlotte (2/5): - Lighting awful. Walls paper thin so could hear multiple other guests snoring and talking. Shower was broken, sink was falling off wall
- Jim (10/5): - Close to everything! Very clean! Simple but nice!
- Sun hee (8/5): - Very friendly steps, clean and good location!
- Siv (10/5): Trivsamt - Ett väldigt trevligt b&b nära Stazioni Termini. Lugnt och tryggt område. Bra restaurang Babbos vägg i vägg. Rummet rent och fräscht.
- Gary (8/5): Hidden gem! - Nice location, walking distance to many tourist destinations. Close to the metro and termini stations. Many restaurants in the area. The room was clean, bed was good, air conditioning was cold, bathroom was renovated and nice. Italian breakfast served in the room, cappuccino with pastries. We had a very nice stay for 6 nights. Highly recommended
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wc had water and also had safe box that in my barcelona's hotel dos not exist
- Varinderpal (8/5): - The electricity was not available from 8:00 pm to 3:30 am.
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice place, good position, restaurants near, very good communications (train, metro, bus),, clean!
- Leticia Marques (10/5): - Excelent, I recomend !
- beth (8/5): - Stayed just one night at the location before leaving Rome. The location was excellent as it is very close to termini station. Room was in good condition. cannot complain about the service. Would stay again if returning to Rome.
- Iris (8/5): Agréable séjour ! -
- Asghar (10/5): Good place with the price. - Stayed two nights with my kids and the service is ok
With such cheap price for this hotel and like this location is very good.
- Ben (8/5): Bon rapport qualite prix.
- Bertha (6/5): - I din’t think it’s right to charlge an extra fee for arriving at night
- hmlie2 (10/5): Spacious, clean room. Close to station - Spacious, clean room. Close to the central station making it easy to get to and from Rome. I walked everywhere in Rome from here, meaning about 15km of walking each day. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious for a single bed room. It was in an apartment block that looks into a courtyard, making it more quiet at night time. It was nice to have a kettle and tea/coffee available in the room. I would definitely stay here again because it was clean, comfortable & well located.
Note: to have the air conditioner on, you need to keep your curtains open as it is by the windows. I also found that I would get cold in the night as it blew right onto me while sleeping.
- Milagros (8/5): Nice Ok place to stay 1 or 2 nights - The rooms are great, clean, comfortable. It is located close to good restaurants. The checking is a bit complicated as you have to arrive on their working hours otherwise you will have to wait.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely room - Liked both the room layout with separate little hall mirror. Decorated in a tasteful manner . Comfortable beds. Could use a reading chair. Staff responded quickly to my messages. Felt safe with solid locks. Only glitch came trying to connect about my arrival time.
- Melody (8/5): Good for the price & close to Termini station - A friend & I stayed at Aelius 3 nights following a Cruise, because our first choice was unavailable. I was concerned when we had to carry all of our luggage up a flight of stairs before even getting to the elevator making Check-in a hassle, since we had to carry It all to the 2nd floor office in 1 building & then down to the other building to do the same to get to our room.
The room was clean & adequate. More drawers would be helpful. We had a tiny end table each & an armoir as storage. The beds are a little hard but not bad. The bathroom was small, especially the shower. The shower sliding doors wouldn't shut all the way & I had to turn sideways & squeeze in. More shelves in the restroom would be helpful. The full length mirror was a nice touch.
Breakfast was provided & was continental style delivered to the room. Each of us was provided a croissant, 2 rolls & yogurt with a cafe latte & various jams, butter, a Nutella packet & a couple of soft cheeses. It was a nice breakfast, but I had hoped for a traditional buffet breakfast of cold cuts, breads, cheeses, fruit, cereals, etc like we had before at another hotel down the street, but it was OK & it was very nice that we were provided all of those items in a To-Go package for our very early departure time our last day.
The location is perfect, just a few blocks from the Termini station down the street, with plenty of cafes, pastry & gelato shops & mini markets all around.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Near Roma Termini (10 minutes of walk), pretty quiet, clean, staff friendly. No complaints. Stayed one night.
- EK (8/5): - the location is great, a few minutes walk from termini and the city sightseeing hop on hop off bus tour (incase you are taking that), both were a plus point for us. the building has a small lift but a few steps to reach it so that was a little troublesome because we had alot of luggage! but they let us stow our luggage after check out for the day while we explored rome. room and washroom were spacious and very clean. ac worked great!! i wouldve preferred a buffet breakfast for variety but what they gave was enough to fill you up till lunch. you need to get your own water though, you get a glass or so per person. the staff was friendly and helpful.
i would definitely recommend this place for your trip!
- Adriana (10/5): Very good - Very well Located near Termini Staino. Crean and good Service. Breakfast served ti the room
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful experience - Stayed here two days ago for a short visit to Rome, what a wonderful experience I had. It was clean clean clean, close to the Rome termini - which gives you access to every tourist place you may want to visit. Will definitely come back.
- Dinesh (2/5): Convenient to the Termini station and nothing else - The breakfast options were very limited or none and instead of calling this place a "Bed and Breakfast", it should be called a "Bed only". We had to eat breakfast outside everyday of our stay and i would not recommend this place to anyone.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Flexible and helpful staff - Had to change my reservation and the staff was super accommodating and helpful.
Great place at a great price!
- SHANKAR (8/5): - It is nicely located hotel
- Agenace (10/5): Rome - I enjoyed staying at this hotel. Convienent for exploring Rome and central to everything. The room I stayed in was comfortable, clean, safe and friendly. Room size was decant and at a reasonable price. I enjoyed the room service breakfast.Overall, excellent customer service and friendly neighborhood.
- Verified traveler (10/5): This is a splendid place near the Termini - We stayed for a week and loved it
Jennifer was very helpful
She brought breakfast to our room each day - which was a great. Pay attention to the list because it is very specific but Inwould text her changes. I like cappachino - sonaskednfor 2 cups each day.
- Jennifer (10/5): Lovely 4 night stay at Aelius B&B - The hotel was up to standard. The receptionist took care of us and brought us a lovely breakfast every morning to our room. When back from a whole day of sightseeing we always found our room clean and tidy. If we are back in Rome, we will definitely stay at Aelius B&B. We are definitely going to recommend this place to our friends and family.
- Emily (10/5): Great location, great price, lovely hotel - A real surprise given the price. The location is great with small supermarkets located across the road and lovely restaraunts with a couple of minutes walk. The reception lady was super nice and couldn't have done more to make sure our stay was comfortable. We walked from the hotel to most sights but there was also really convenient metro links
- stacy (8/5): Good Hotel - Fab hotel for a city break! Took us a little while to find it (for anyone coming from Termini, exit the station on the right hand side, turn left and walk straight. The hotel is very nearly at the end of the road. The entrance to it is next door to a nice looking italian restaurant. We walked past it twice because it looked like the entrance for an apartment block - this is exactly where you want to go! Once you walk in take the right hand door 'Block A' and go to the second floor, this is the reception for the hotel. The reception isn't 24 hour so look out for an email from them asking for your arrival details, mine ended up in the junk file on my email so you may need to check this! Once we arrived the hotel was great, although it wasn't manned 24 hour, the staff we saw couldn't do enough to help. The hotel was lovely and quiet for the most part and the room was more then adequate for what we needed. Along with tea/coffee stuff and a tv, there is even a laptop with wifi provided which came in handy for looking for things to do and places to eat! Would definitaly stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Olga (10/5): Great Stay in Rome. - I stayed in Aelius for three nights. It was the most comfortable stay. The room is tiny without feeling claustrophobic, high sealing, large widow looking into the courtyard. Very neat modern decor. Very comfortable twin bed. Everything in the room is thought trough for travelers convenience. The B&B staff were wonderful! I had to leave for the airport 4am and they made sure I didn't leave without breakfast. The neighborhood is close to Roma Termini station. Sights like Spanish Steps and Fountain de Trevi are 15 min walking distance.
- Nata (10/5): - Nice, clean, comfortable bed. The only inconvenience - check in only 8am to 13pm... What if I arrive later?
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Comfortable good value B&B near Termini station. Very friendly staff and clean, comfortable accommodation.
- Maria (8/5): We enjoyed our stay! - This was a great place. It is newly remodeled and nicely decorated. The only thing that could have been better is the breakfasts. They were brought to the room, some may like that. But, the breakfast did not include any fruit and the selections were limited.
- Barbara (10/5): Great place for the budget or a 1-2 night stay - Stayed here for 1 night after a cruise, waiting to catch our flight home. The owner and staff couldn't be nicer and accommodating, even helping us carry our very heavy suitcases up 1 flight of stairs. Elevator is one flight up from ground floor. For one night, it was great. Unless you're on a tight budget, I wouldn't see myself staying here for more than 1-2 nights. The room is typically European small, small bathroom, but does have free internet, even has a computer in the room for your use!! The bed is comfortable. The breakfast is delivered to your room, and is a typical European small breakfast, but plenty enough to eat. Besides, why would you fill up on breakfast when you have all that pizza and pasta to conquer in Rome? The location is perfect, and safe, just a few blocks from the main train station (Termini). I would definitely recommend to others.
- Greg (10/5): A nice place to stay in a very convenient location - We spent three nights at Aelius. All we needed was somewhere to sleep that was handy too where we wanted to visit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great - Very good accommodation in central location near Termini, with great service. Highly recommended!
- TheWaddy (10/5): excellent value - Clean, modern, new room..... very helpful and service with a smile staff!
- Chris (10/5): Centrally located - Clean and safe, close to train station
- Barbara (8/5): Very clean modern reasonably priced near Termini - This B and B is located in a sketchy looking area, but once you get there it's nice inside. Very clean and modern rooms. The staff girls are very sweet and hard working. There's wifi and a laptop in the room which made booking tours very easy. Green Line Tours bus is located a few blocks away for day trips to pompeii and capri. We also did our boarding passes on laptop and had the store on the block print them. The breakfast was uninspiring so we shopped at the market on the block. I loved the decor of the room, friendly staff and access to nearby transportation so I would stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great B&B - Could not ask for more from a B&B excellent. Would recommend
- BKottmyer (6/5): Convenient to Transportation, BUT it has drawbacks - There were a few drawbacks. Thankfully, we looked at the hotel location using Google street view prior to arrival, so we knew where the hotel was located. It's on the second floor of a building that requires ringing a buzzer so someone can come down and let you in. (Not an issue after check-in because you have a set of keys) The name is listed on the panel of door bells for the whole building. There is a lift to the second floor, but you do have to go up a few stairs to get to it. The rooms are situated directly off the reception/breakfast area, so there is limited privacy when those areas are occupied. At first glance, the room and bathroom appeared clean and well kept. Part of the lock on the wardrobe was broken so it didn't latch properly. The Jacuzzi jets were filthy and some of the shower jets are broken and clogged. Unable to use the Jacuzzi because it filled the tub with black mold.
The air conditioning unit has to be turned off while you are not in the room, so it takes some time to cool the room down after being out in the heat all day. If you don't turn it off, they will turn it off when they come in to clean. I requested a portable fan and they provided it without charge. Also, you'll want to bring some type of clip to secure the drapes around the air conditioning unit because they hang directly in front of the airflow. I used a large hair clip I had with me. The breakfast was the typical meat, cheese, bread, cake, danish, yogurt, muesli, juice, coffee, and tea.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place for exploring Rome - Great location. Friendly staff. Great value. Remember this is a Bed and Breakfast. Rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. We had keys to the building and came and went as we pleased. Will stay here next time I am in Rome.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Perfect for 1 night - We picked this B&B because of it's location & price. And for one night in Rome it suited what we needed. It is only 5 minute walk from Termini but not located in the safest area. When we arrived, the owner greeted us outside as it isn't obvious where it is due to it being on the second floor of the building. She was very nice and accomodating, but once we checked in, she was gone and there isn't anyone there to answer your questions.Plus she wasn't very knowledgable about the bus system. So keep this in mind as a difference to a hotel if you like actual service. The room was very clean and a big plus is free internet with laptop in your own room. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast is very lean. If you have kids, it would be better to pick another area of the city to stay in and if you're staying for multiple nights, it would be worth paying a little more for something else.
- Magicjy (10/5): Worth to stay!! : ) - That's a very nice hotel, convenience location, clean and comfrotable! Daytime receptionist is nice, room keeper Maria is very nice and helpful too! Definitely will choose again for my next Roma visit. : )
- Verified traveler (10/5): Immediately: an all time favorite - The room was large, bright, ultraclean, pleasant, and comfortable. The window had two sets of double paned glass, completely shutting out the considerable street noise. The breakfast was excellent. The room was off a hallway in a very private separate area of a floor in a very nice apartment building, with a large foyer and courtyard, within walking distance of Terminale. Maria and her staff were accommodating, cheerful and helpful. Aelius would be my first choice on another trip to Rome.
- Justin (10/5): Cute & Convenient - This B&B was exactly what we were looking for. It was close to the train station, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was wonderful. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to be close to main attractions of Rome.
- Caroline (10/5): Aelius B & B, Rome - Very good service in all ways - we were contacted before to ascertain time of arrival, and were welcomed warmly. Room good sized and very well appointed - included laptop for free use. We went in May, so not too hot, but found the room warm - AC not built in, but a unit provided on request which was effective and not noisy. Room on quite a busy street, but not noisy at all. Staff very friendly and helpful - breakfast limited, but all fresh and coffee too.
Position of B & B was fine as within 5 mins walking distance of Termini station, from where we had easily got a train from Fuimicino Airport (approx 14 Euros return, took 30 mins).
We loved Rome and walked miles in the 3 days we had there - good footwear essential! It was very expensive!! Expect all meals and coffees to be so. Travastere area very good for evening meals in a lively area. Advise pre-booking Colosseum and Borghese gallery online - saves a lot of time. Highlights were those, the Pantheon, St Peters Basilica, the Villa Borghese park, and just walking past such lovely building and statues all the time. Loved it!
- Verified traveler (8/5): fabulous time! - we had a great time in Roma...Maria met us out side the hotel and walking us into the building. We couldn;t have asked for more. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Cappicino's in the morning were a perfect start to our day
thank you all for making our stay so wonderful
