• Madeleine (9/5): - This was the perfect stay to start our Italy trip with my family of 5. It was clean, spacious, and in the perfect location. We loved being so close to the Colosseum and tried great restaurants in the surrounding neighborhood. Martina was an excellent host and was extremely responsive. Highly recommend!

Die Wohnung ist sehr hell, gut eingerichtet und bestens ausgestattet – es fehlte an nichts. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Betreuung durch Martina: Sie hat sich mehrfach erkundigt, ob alles in Ordnung ist, und stand jederzeit freundlich und hilfsbereit zur Verfügung. Absolut empfehlenswert, eine der besten Unterkünfte, die wir je in Rom hatten. Nichts.

You will need some time to Trastevere and St..Peters - but the City is huge... Place is clean, beds are great and kitchen alliows you a relaxed start into the day on your own schedule.
• Macasero (10/5): Stay near Colosseum - People: Martina is very accommodating, helpful, and responsive. Facilities: the place was very comfortable, clean and practical. It was very spacious and with 3 bedrooms, our family was able to rest comfortably. The kitchen was functioning properly and had a small area where we gather after a day of walking to bond for a while. Bathroom was well kept. Martina was generous with bathroom essentials. The linens were clean. Location: the place is a few minutes walk to the Colosseum, we can spot it as soon as we went out of the place. It is also very near bus and metro stations and good restaurants to try. We definitely recommend, very good value for money. None

• Robyn (10/5): Great Place to Stay! - Great little place very close to the Colosseum and many restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property if you are in Rome. The staff is attentive and very communicative.
• Anja (10/5): - Die Lage war fantastisch, nur ungefähr 300m vom Kolosseum entfernt. Die historische Innenstadt war auch gut zu Fuss zu erreichen, so dass man kein Busticket oder ähnliches brauchte. Ringsum gab es viele Restaurants und nur 200m um die Ecke eine schöne Bar, in der man auch gut frühstücken konnte. Ein 24/h Supermarkt war 200m weiter Richtung Kolosseum. Martina, die Vermieterin war supernett, man konnte sie jederzeit per whatsapp erreichen, wenn man Fragen hatte. Ausserdem hatte sie auf unsere Bitte hin uns vorab ein Transfertaxi vom Flughafen und retour gebucht , was echt sehr angenehm war. Als wir ankamen wurden wir schon in Empfang genommen, so dass wir sofort in die Wohnung konnten. Die Wohunng selbst war sehr sauber und genauso wie auf den Bildern dargestellt. Klimaanlage in jedem Zimmer.

Many good restaurants in the area. Pharmacy and 24/7 supermarket on the same street. No soundproofing, we could hear everyone entering/leaving the building. And the rooms were bright with no curtains to keep them dark.

• Elizabeth (6/5): Pleasant stay in a prefect location, just a few issues with noise and uncomfortable beds. - The apartment is immaculately cleaned and very spacious! It’s a real oasis from the crazy of Rome. The location is second to none and we could easily explore Rome from our doorstep! I’m afraid it’s extremely noisy. You hear the opening and closing of doors all night from people in other apartments coming and going. As the entrance shares a wall with one of the bedrooms and a stair case with one of the other bedrooms it really does keep you awake all night. Also the beds were so firm , like the pillows, so sadly we didn’t sleep well for 3 nights. There’s no real living room space that’s useable so after a long day exploring I’m afraid you come back and sit in seperate rooms to be comfortable. But the staff are so friendly and helpful at checkin and the place itself is very pretty and lovely, just a few minor issues that affect sleep I’m afraid.

• Jay (10/5): Perfect apartment for our Rome stay - Colosseo 85 was a perfect little apartment for the 5 of us, right near the Colosseum with many good restaurants (good food and prices) nearby. From the apt it’s an easy walk to many of the major sights. The apt was clean, beds comfortable, lots of hot water, and all the amenities we needed. Martina was excellent with all communications and in arranging a transfer for us from the train station. Guido checked us in and explained everything. All in all a great experience. We wouldn’t hesitate staying with Martina again and would happily recommend to friends.

If u look out the living room window u can see the colosseum at the end of the street, so pretty lit up at night, it was surreal! Great cafes and restaurants below, supermarket so close, wasn’t noisy even though its bustling day and night. The bed was so comfy! We all loved people watching out the window. Great ensuite. Couldn’t fault the place or stay :-) That we didn’t stay longer!

• Rae (10/5): Magestic holiday - The property is situated in a very good location. It is close to a supermarket, pharmacy and restaurants. The restaurant directly across from it sells delicious pizza and just a short walk down from the apartment are a few restaurants serving great food. The best part is waking up in the morning and as you step out the building, you have a direct view of the colosseum. It truly is quite magical. It is an enjoyable walk to other attractions such as the Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps. There is a bus stop very near by and a taxi stop at the top of the street. The beds are comfortable with very quiet ac (for the hot summer months) The apartment was clean with 3 good sized rooms and one master with ensuite. Guido was helpful in settling us in and making sure we had everything we needed. Thank you to Martina for an unforgettable stay! Nothing not to like.

Lots of restaurants and local shops in this area. Very helpful host, booked our taxis, gave advice when asked, and accommodated late check-in due to a delayed flight. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. This flat is perfect for a group of friends travelling together. Good value for the location. These are small suggestions but a couple of armchairs or another small sofa in the living area and a mirror in the third bedroom would take this flat from great to perfect!

Lots of decent places to eat within a 2 block radius of the property and a grocery store about a block away. There isn’t any real “living space” beyond the bedrooms. Only a small couch in the kitchen….. which was fine by us. We didn’t come to Rome to hang out in the apartment. Worked great for myself, my wife and our two teen aged children.

• Mohammad (9/5): Great location. Clean rooms. Highly recommended for families or couples - Next to the colosseum and in the middle of fine restaurants. Air conditioning was good. We visited during the hottest July ever and really appreciated the proximity to major attractions AND metro station which is 2 stops from Roma Termini from where you can connect to high speed trains . 24 hour grocery store is on the same street and was very convenient for our large family of six. We had three full rooms and 2 full baths. Kitchen and bathroom are a bit cramped but nothing to complain for a few days’ stay. Martina was very responsive to our queries.

• Christa (7/5): Good - Perfect location and quick access to public transportation, food and grocery Apartment was warm and the living room was the only room with a fan. Could not leave windows open while gone, so when we came back it was hot and the front bedroom you could not leave the window open at night because it was street level, loud and all the cigarette smoke from people walking came in. Would have been nice to have fans in the bedrooms since we were not allowed to use the air conditioners. Lockbox would have been nice because then I would not have been charged a late check-in fee (8pm) and also not have to carry around the keys.

Great location next to the Colosseum and metro station, or you can take a short walk to the Piazza Venezia, from where all the most important attractions are near by. The apartment is spacious, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The furniture is old-fashioned, but that wasn't an issue because we came to explore Rome and not to spend time at the apartment. The most important thing for us is to have a great location and we certainly had that. Much is cleaned superficially: tiles in the bathroom and kitchen, dishes, cutlery, space in the sink when you lift the plug, where the drain is, curtain in the bathtub. There were many stains on the quilt cover in one bedroom. The towels were brand new, from the store, but not pre-washed. We had to buy a new dish sponge because there was a used one and that is so unhygienic and unacceptable.

• Gabor (7/5): great place all in all, i can recommend it only - the rooms are greatly distributed and the location was pretty much great. we got what we expected for and to be honest the price-value balance was okay, all my family enjoyed the stay in Elena al Colosseo! the heating during the day wasnt working only in the night and it couldnt warm up enough the room. we were there in february but it wasnt a big deal in the end, we slept nice and tight. we discussed to leave the place at 10AM but the cleaning lady was already ringing the bell a bit before 9 AM and we felt a bit of rushy because of it.

• Griggs (10/5): Loved every minute of it. - I loved everything about the property, the location, the apartment makes you feel at home and less of a tourists. The location is wonderful. Open the windows and hear the night life and feel the evening breeze. Host was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. No negative comments
• Peters (7/5): Fantastic location disappointed with inside. - Location How old the furniture is and how damaged the chairs are, how many marks are all over the walls, the place is a mix match of old things. It needs an update and a friendly feeling touch adding. It feels very old and it's dirty it needs a deep clean not a wipe down but things moving and scrubbed. It's not clean under or around things unfortunately.
