Guest Reviews
- Lucy-Ann (10/5): Great Base to Explore From - The place was fairly easy to find and very close to the Rialto Bridge, so just a 5 minute walk from the waterbus stop. It is down a couple of little alleyways but it seemed quite safe even at night. The interior is a little dated but very clean and comfortable. The room we had had windows overlooking one of the canals and we could watch the gondolas go past and hear them singing! There are towels provided along with a hairdryer too. A kettle and tea are provided but no tea or milk, however there is a co-op just a few minutes walk away so easy to stock up. A great location to get about from and we saw the whole of Venice on foot from this base. The owner was very friendly and accommodating when we arrived and I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a good base to explore beautiful Venice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): proportional to the price - I have stayed in the carnival season. This hotel is much cheaper than other hotels in Venezia. The hotel is very difficult to find. The hotel stuff cannot speak English. Wifi does not work. The bed is very small. I think that the hotel worth is proportional to the price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - This a privately owned hotel. The owner is really sweet and very helpful.
The only issue was that I had to pay her at the hotel and I thought I had paid thru Orbit.
Also you will need google maps on your phone to get around Venice.
- cindy (10/5): Great place - Kat and Mario, cute grey cat,,very lovely hotel, when I go back to venice,,,I'm gonna stay there!!!!!
We loved it !!!!
Thanks!!!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location. Room clean and comfortable. Good size. Bathroom is basic and has everything I need. However no Wi-Fi connection at room. I had to stay at the reception to get Wi-Fi, as there was also no mobile signal neither.
- Mariana (10/5): super nice, comfortable and cozy - the experience we live was amazing and we are deeply
grateful for choosing this hotel in our firt experience
in Venice.
- Caoimhe (10/5): Venice on a budget - Clean pension in a quiet part of town
- Edward (10/5): Great location (when you find it!) - This is an excellent place to stay in Venice. It cannot be called an hotel because it does not do food but all of the other facilities are very good. If I ever go back to Venice I would have no hesitation in staying here
- Stace (6/5): - You get what you pay for. It served its purpose as a place to sleep. Nothing too special.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Location very good but a little tricky to find - Had a very good time
Excellent and courteous staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): Well situated - Hotel was pretty much what I was expecting - basic, no frills hotel in excellent location. Friendly staff with limited English. Clean accommodations. Beds on short side and mattress and pillows harder than we like. First night there was limited hot water in shower, second day had hot water- no issues. Hair dryer and shampoo/conditioner would have
been helpful. Excellent location! Close proximity to St. Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge where we took boat to from airport. Great restaurants within walking distance. Easy to find if look for contarina Scala Del Bovolo/spiral staircase.
- Angela (10/5): Wonderful stay at great place - Fabulous place! So much better than a main stream hotel. Staff are so helpful. Love their cats! Close to everything.
- Satish (8/5): A nice place for short stay at Venice - The location is perfect that allowed us to be at the St. Marks Square even at midnight and enjoy the bands play the music. A five minutes walk from Rialto Bridge Vaperato station was perfect to drag ones luggage. The people were nice and helped carry the luggage upstairs. Perfect air conditioning and very quiet. However wifi didn't work in the room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No internet on the rooms. Hotel staff super friendly though.
- Sunil (10/5): Everything was nice! The host was very friendly - Host was very friendly and flexible ' allowed us for a late night check in as our flight got delayed! Close to the popular bridge and St Mark Square!
- Jennifer (8/5): loved the evening serenade - The location is kind of hard to get to. I had read that in reviews so I mapquested it at the train station, but it routed me to a water bus that was very expensive. If you lose your map you may be lost like a mouse in a maze. Venice is crazy like that! The place was very homey. More like a pension. The wifi did not work up by the rooms and I had to hang out in the lobby to get service. The owner and her family are nice and friendly. I was working on the internet in the lobby at 21:00 and heard a man singing beautifully from a gondola in the canal right outside the window. That was awesome!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful host and amazing location - Loved the hotel. Close to the action. Beautiful view of canal from our window. Amazing host!! Would highly recommend this hotel.
- Frenesi Anne (2/5): Didn't find - No Refunds! - We were not able to find this hotel and we were not able to get refunds.ook for a hotel in Venice and not a Bed & Breakfast as it has check-in time and when you passed that time, no one will attend to you.
- Paul (8/5): Great, not so cool - Great location, near both San Macros Square and Rialto Bridge. Very spacious room. Unfortunately, the AC unit didn't do an adequate job of cooling off our room.
- Ollie (8/5): Very pleasant hotel in great location - Great location, close to Rialto and Piazza San Marco. Could be tricky to find without the help of Google Maps app. We happened to be there in July and were very pleased that the air conditioning was working great as it was extremely hot outside. The stuff speaks almost no English, but with smiles and gestures we were able to have our questions answered. Rooms are clean and spacious. We'll definitely stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Can be hard to find because it's tucked away in a quiet corner. Google map + gps can get confused. But once you find it, it's a nice place at very reasonable price
- Mara-Lee (8/5): Lovely! Quiet! - This little inn was lovely and clean, and the people running it were very kind. The wifi was good, and the bed was firm... it might have been too firm for some but was perfect for me! Lots of pillows as well and extra blankets were provided, and it was relatively easy to find from the Rialto vaporetto stop. My room had a table with two chairs, 1 double bed, dresser, closest, My only suggestions would be to offer two towels per person (1 hair, 1 body). Also sometimes the shower would overflow due to slow drainage.
- angie (10/5): great little hotel - Ok without a doubt everybody get's lost when getting to this hotel. well worth your money, nice and clean, the blond lady speakes only Italian but she understand English super nice. Mario the cleaning guy will help with anything, I highly recommend it because of the location and price. Ok so you don't get super lost like me. Ask any tour guide where the "Scala Contarini Del Bovolo" is reason to as a tour guide is because this museum is one that guides take tours to. So once there the hotel is next door can't miss it. Getting back to the hotel again is another story. In the same street as the Rialto Bridge is the biggest super market well worth your visit. We bought seafood salad chiken and all kinds of goods for dinner, much cheaper then buying at the restaurants. Always go out to the square at night the music is beautiful and people are so happy dancing all night.
- Saori (8/5): Love it - Good Location with great hospitality. I enjoyed very much. Right next to world heritage is amazing.
- Nellie (10/5): Great place - The room was clean. The service was great. We had 3 beds in our room. The 2 kids were happy to have their own beds. It was a great place for our one night in Venice. The air conditioner worked and excellent free Wifi in the room.
We read previous reviews for directions. It was very simple to follow their directions.
- meryl (10/5): - Lovely lovely people. Really enjoyed the hominess. Recommend staying in the top floor so you don't hear people walking above.
- Mary (8/5): Great stay - Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast. Called cab for us to get to the airport. Gave recommendations for places to eat. Stuff there 24 hrs.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointed - The lodging is not located in the palace building shown in the photo online. It is actually located in the building just past the tower. We stayed in the triple room with one queen bed and two twins. The quality of the furnishings and décor is somewhat lacking. Quiet building and area. Breakfast is not included. Has air conditioning.
- Karin (10/5): Great location and value - Great location. A bit tough to find, but we paid a porter 25€ and once we were there had no difficulty getting around. The room was simple, clean and had what was needed, no frills. Good wifi access. We had a great window to a canal and enjoyed the serenading gondoliers passing by. Super friendly staff. A true family hotel with a continental experience, lots of atmosphere. Would definitely stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room and toilet is very clean. Finding the hotel was easy following one of the reviewer direction and location was very quiet for a good rest.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to everything! - Very welcoming! Nice quaint 6 room hotel located in the heart of everything!
- Rhonda (8/5): Great location - Location was excellent. The room was very clean. Management were very helpful and would recommend this as a safe and convenient place to stay
- Daniel (10/5): Good location. Very friendly. - Good location. Close to St Marks Sq. Very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): GREAT LOCATION - Close to the canal, five minutes from St Mark's and close to the other important sites. Cati was outstanding and everyone went out of their way to make us feel like family.
- Susan (10/5): - Lovely hotel in a great location. Large room with a big bathroom. You get a voucher for breakfast just down the street that includes coffee, juice, a croissant and a toasted cheese sandwich.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to shops and St. Mark's Square. - I was impressed how clean this hotel is. Also the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Also this hotel us right beside one of the Venice attraction which is Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location, convenient property - We stayed for just one night. We are a family of four, and we were comfortable in our quadruple room. The location of the property was pleasantly surprising: our bedroom window looked right at one of the canals, and it was delightful to watch the gondolas passing by with the tourists (they started passing by after 8:00 am, and they were quiet about it anyway). The property has a homely environment, and the owner was very friendly and helpful. To avoid trouble finding the property, we pinned it beforehand in our google map in our cellphone (a map that could be used offline without trouble, just check info in the web of how to use such maps, is not hard). All around this island is alleys and canals, and we found it easy (with the help of the map) to walk around and return to the property, which is very well located. We would stay there again whenever we have the chance in the future, because the price is reasonable and the property is clean, comfortable and placed conveniently close to the main atractions of Santa Lucia of Venice.
- delia (4/5): Located inside San Marco but hard to find - Not too happy. no wifi, no TV, no front desk staff to help after 5pm.
- Carlos (10/5): - No tv no phone no room coffe
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and convenient hotel - Good location. Walking distance to Rialto Bridge and St Marks square. Lots of shops nearby but in a quiet corner. friendly and accomodating hostess
- Verified traveler (10/5): very impressive - excellent location, quiet, close to everywhere, friendly hostress, check in & check out smoothly. Great value in Venice.
- Irene (10/5): - We had such a wonderful and memorable stay here! The place is lovely, clean, unique (this is not your typical cookie cutter hotel but rather like a b&b, without the breakfast) and really just a few minutes from Rialto and St Mark's Square. Room we had was above the canal so it was fun to hear and see the gondolas go by! Caty and Mario were friendly and lovely! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
- Micheline (8/5): - Stade 2 days and got lost every Day. But that is the fun of being in Venise. Close to San Marco.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A Charming place to stay - We love the owner and family the hotel is nice and have a nice Courtyard friends and family are all around. everything is close by that you will need
- Paul (10/5): Very clean, friendly and cost effective - It was not very easy to find, but it was certainly worth the effort.
Our stay at Alloggi alla Scala was amazing from the minute we arrived all the way through until we left. Kathy was extremely friendly, polite, helpful and efficient. Mario was also very friendly and helpful at all times. Both Kathy and Mario proved to be fantastic hosts indeed. My family and I would not hesitate to recommend Alloggi alla Scala to anyone visiting Venice and planning to stay in San Marco.
- Kit Yan Daniel (8/5): Vy nice stay! - Vy centrally located, walking distance to Piazza San Marco n Ponte Rialto. Nice n clean room within a local residence building like a homestay. Friendly staffs!
One thing is a pitty that no iron n iron board for clothes could be borrowed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great staff and convenient location - We have a family of 4 and found this hotel to be an excellent place to stay and explore Venice. It is basically a family run small hotel and we found the family to be very nice and accommodating. Location is central to all key sites and we loved to watch the boats from our window.
- Ilija (10/5): Beautiful - Traveling with my family
- muhammad (10/5): Great central hotel. - 5 star
- maria (8/5): Nice hotel close to San Mark square - It's a little hard to find, and the person who answered the phone don't speak English, to give you directions.
After we managed to get to the plaza we call back and they sent someone to get us from there. It's hidden between little streets.
For better reference is right on the Scala contarini Del Bovolo.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice and cozy little place close to everything - Great location if you want to wander around Venice island. Place is a little bit hard to find (especially late at night). Host is really nice and wait for us to arrive until 3am. The room is quite small but really clean and has private bathroom. Wifi is extremely fast, I was even able to VPN home and watch TV shows.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Hotel - Very cute and clean hotel. Our room was off a canal and it was relaxing to just watch the gondolas go by. The air conditioning worked wonderful, which was very important to us during a summer vacation in Italy.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing! - I had read some good reviews about this hotel and was looking forward to staying. It was just a room and ensuite, nothing more! No view (other than the neighbor"s clothes line). No refrigererator, no tea/coffee making facilities, no maps or tourist brochures in the foyer. There was no decorating style in the room, the furniture was mismatched. The shower was one of the smallest I have ever seen. My 6 foot tall husband had difficulty showering. The Internet was awful unless sitting in reception.
The room was clean, however and it was in a good location in regards to San Marco and Rialto.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Alloggi Alla Scala welcomes you! - I enjoyed so much Alloggi "Alla Scala"
that I consider returning soon. The location, room cleanliness, bed comfort, and the highly professional staff together with their warm welcoming are to be praised and rated as one of the best little hotels in Venice.
- Lisa (6/5): Affordable & convenient location - The hotel is not easy to find but is located very close to the famous landmarks. There are restaurants and shops around which makes dining & shopping very convenient. The hotel staff cannot communicate in English which makes it difficult when you have issues that you want dealt with like wifi access. Overall, it's not bad if you are on a tight budget.
- Andre (8/5): Nice and tiny room. Very clean. - Found the room very tidy with and comfartable. Excellent breakfast comes with this room. I will recommend this to any of my friends.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Tried calling the hotel several times and emailed them about directions and no answer to any of my calls or email. Very difficult to locate place. Bed is the worst bed I have slept on.
- Jenna (8/5): Nice hotel in a great location! - We enjoyed our stay at Alloggi all a Scala in Venice. The staff was great and very friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. Very close to St Mark's Square and the Rialto bridge!
- David (6/5): Vencie - Very lovely staff in a tucked away location close to the Grand Canal and Rialti Bridge. A bit of a hike to St Marks. No little shampoos or soap or breakfast. Basic tidy room. Staff let us store our luggage after check out.
- Ralph (10/5): Great loca\tion - This was a wonderful hotel with clean rooms, good service (family run), quaint. The location is great because you can easily walk to any of the main sites within a few minutes, AND when arriving by water shuttle from the airiport (Alilaguna to the Rialto stop) you have no bridges to croos hauling your luggage to the hotel! Only missing item -- no breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great find! - Yes, it's a little hard to find but once there, you realize you've got great value for your money! We were a family of 3 but was given a quadruple room. Very spacious room (#5) and bath. Clean. Good location in the middle of all the tourist spots you need to see but still a bit hidden so you have peace and quiet at night. Hardly any staff to seek assistance with but if they are there, very friendly and helpful. One thing with room #5, the window (across door) is directly above the smoking area so twice we had to shut it close to prevent foul odor entering. Would recommend!
- John (8/5): Affordable Stay in San Marco - The hotel provides basic, clean accommodation at a very affordable
Venice price. All the staff we dealt with were pleasant, courteous and efficient. The location is ideal for visiting all the main attractions in Venice, and was not as difficult to find as some reviewers have suggested. Our room was quite spacious by Venice standards and was very quiet . Highly recommended as a budget stay.
- Mark (8/5): Nice stay in heart of Venice. - Hotel is clean and comfortable - owners are very friendly and helpful. Tip - get off the water bus at Rialto (on the San Marco side of canal)and there will be no bridges to carry your suit case over - about 3 short blocks from there.
- Bonnie (8/5): A hidden gem. - We were there for just one night, but it was perfect for our good bye to Venice. Just one passage way from great little shops and a few more steps to a small plaza, then the canal. Definitely for those who are very mobile, but we loved the charm and the hidden gems of shops and sights all around. In the tiny court was an amazing medieval tower, la Scala, inviting us up the winding stairs to great views of the city. A delightful surprise.
- Dianne (8/5): Comfortable with a cat - As this inn was right next to an out-of-the way attraction (the spiral stairs), it was easy to find, yet quiet. The inn was comfortably arranged, with 2 friendly cats. Although the room itself was small, it was clean, comfortable and the bathroom relatively spacious. No hair dryer.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - wifi was not working, not sure if this is the hotel or Venice...
- Carol (6/5): Little unique and out of the way stay in Venice - Even with the lack of having a front desk "manned" most of the time and lack of internet access most of the time, plus a light fixture that stopped working and never got fixed during our stay after informing them, this was a good value because of the location. It was tucked back in a little alleyway and next to a historic and beautiful building which made for a quiet stay but close to everything. I prefer to have less than pristine accommodations if it has character but still functions well. This definitely qualified, minus the functioning well as far as one light fixture goes. All in all, it was unique and we enjoyed it.
- Maria (8/5): Nice hotel in San Marco Square - Nice historic hotel within easy walking distance of San Marco square and Rialto area. Check in was easy and rooms were simple but clean. Wifi could be better. We had no difficulty finding the hotel with google maps. Great place to stay in Venice for reasonable price as Venice can be expensive.
- Retired couple (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel that is centrally located in San Marco district.
- Anita (4/5): Not a nice hotel in Venice - It took us 1.5 hours to find the hotel. It would be much easier if the hotel contacted me before check-in direction of how to get to the hotel. The hotel staff spoke very little English.
- sherry (6/5): Convenient and affordable - Had a hard time finding, however, it is near the scala tucked in a corner of that same courtyard. We were greeted by a very friendly man who checked us in. The hotel is very outdated and ugly (to put it blunt). Our room was very big and quiet, which was a bonus. However, I felt like our room could have used a dusting. The location was good and the price was fair for the area. It is a five-ten minute walk to the water taxi
- sotirios (4/5): next time I ll stay somewhere else... - the location was very good, but the service was the worse i have ever experienced... we practically did not see anyone but to take the keys and when we had a problem with the internet we found a lady she could not speak English and she suddenly disappeared, we waited for another 15 minutes but nobody showed up.
- Lydia (10/5): Stay in Venice, not a hotel. - Love this place and the staff who run it. Found it 3 years ago, and going back to Venice it was the first and only choice. This place makes you feel that you are in Venice; it's not just another room in some hotel that could be anywhere.
- Darcie (10/5): - Once we got inside we loved this little place! We rented the family room & it was perfect for 1 night for 4 adults. It is difficult to find just like most other reviews say but if you have proper directions it really wouldnt be. If you get off at the Rialto boat stop it is easier and quicker to get to. Once off the boat head to your right until you get to the street 'Calle Cavalli' (look up as street signs are on the sides of the buildings) turn down this street, it will jog over to the left a little but keep going straight until you end up in Manin Square.. directly on the other side of the square, pretty much right in line with the statue there is a small opening, looks like a hallway, the tiny sign should say 'Contarini del Bovolo' follow the signs to the Bovolo and there is the hotel, its in the very back corner. The hotel is clean and quiet, but the boats start up really early in the morning (about 6am). We loved that we had 2 windows that opened to a small canal the gondolas go down. The wifi was pretty sketchy for us, I think it managed to connect once or twice but didnt stay longer than a minute, but who cares, your in Venice, the last thing you should be doing is sitting in your room on a computer! We would stay here again.
- carolyn (6/5): Lost in Venice - Took us a long time to find the hotel. Even the locals did not know where the hotel street was.
The hotel staff was very nice. One of the beds in the room should be replaced.
- panhorn (6/5): Basic facilities very central - Hard to find but Expedia app directions worked well. The room was clean and comfortable. There are no breakfast facilities but there is a drinks machine in the foyer and a cafe 2 mins walk away. Good value for money if all you want is somewhere to sleep/ rest.
- Mikhail (6/5): Good Hotel in the central part of Venice - We spend a 2 days in this hotel, not too bad for reasonable $
- Anita (10/5): Great central location. Super staff! - The location was perfect, right next to a historic landmark building and on a canal. Loved hearing the gondoliers singing outside our window! Perfect for our family of four!
- MICHEL (6/5): Warm welcome from owner. - Nice and comfortable, basic room, no clock, no radio, no TV no air dryer but extremely relaxing.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location, but initially hard to find. - Hire a porter from the water bus to take your luggage on his cart & locate the hotel for you -well worth the money. Host is lovely & very helpful although her English is very sparse.
- Laura (8/5): - Excellent location. Nice rooms and friendly staff. However when we arrived we were informed we could not stay more than 1 of the 3 nights we reserved due to some undisclosed reason. They told us they would find us other accommodations. We did end up staying the whole 3 days but had to move to ad different room the next 2 nights. Good experience overall.
- Joanne (6/5): Quaint family run hotel - Hotel was small but our room was roomy and clean. The location was off the main track so it had a feel of being "really" part of the city. Staff was very friendly and helpful. No TV but that's a good thing sometimes.
- Abhishek (6/5): - Wifi was a major issue. Also it was very noisy.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The staff was nice and friendly but the accommodations were very dated and the room was very smelly. It was difficult to sleep at night due to the smell. The staff was not always available even though they said someone would be there to assist you. You would be stuck waiting at the entrance for long periods before anyone would answer the door to let you in.
- Fran (6/5): Nice room, affordable, great location - Just a short visit to see a bit of Venice for a couple of days.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good reasonably priced hotel - This is a cute little hotel but it only has internet in the lobby which doesn't work. If this doesn't matter to you then I recommend the hotel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a bed and breakfast and such please keep expectations low. For my family, it was a good value in a tourist area that we wanted to spend time in. We had a very nice experience with hotel operators who lend us medicine for a child who fell ill unexpectedly. They also sent their little kids to show us the way to nearby pharmacy! Good folks!! Gave 4 stars overall instead of 5 because of misleading breakfast information. There wasn't any available. Only vending machines where one can buy. Loads of restaurant options and a super market close by to buy breakfast so it wasn't a problem. But I felt that this needs to mentioned to set right expectations.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet location with friendly staff - Tucked away in a side street off the Campo Manin and halfway between Academia and San Marco the location was ideal for my stay, if a little hard to find.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Location - This is a nice 'hotel' in that its run by people who also live there. My biggest issue was the WIFI. It only works on the main floor in the lobby and unfortunately during our stay - that was intermittent. To the hotels credit they had repair in twice - marginally successful. Don't think it was the hotel's fault. The hot water went out during our stay for a day. Again it was fixed promptly. The rooms are good size. The rooms are clean. The owner(s) don't speak english but the have someone in the afternoon that does. They provided directions to a nearby supermarket (nothing is a straight line in Venice).
- Vacationer (4/5): Interesting - We got there but only found it because we managed to find WIFI and screenshot a map. You will not find this place without wifi or an insanely good map! The room was clean and the bathroom was nice. There was absolutely no WIFI as advertised. There is not really anyone there to help you as the staff does not speak English and they don't have anything about the city in the hotel. Do your research on what you want to see and do before you get there!
- Becky (6/5): Nice clean outdated hotel - Very clean room, and private bathroom however ,no tv,no refrigerator,no coffe pot,no safety deposit box, just a clean bed and dresser, (literally ).Nice staff only meet them for check-in you get a key to front door and your room and you're on your own. This picture below is the actual front look of the hotel, Yes I will recommend to friends and family
- John (8/5): Very nice hotel in central position - We enjoyed our 1 night stay. The hotel is in a great location very close to San Marco, Rialto Bridge & Accedemia. The staff were very kind & helpful. I would recommend this hotel strongly.
- lydia (10/5): - Hotel staff was very nice in allowing us to change our reservation from 2 nights to 1 last minute without charging us. Also the reviews say there is no air conditioning in the room but there in fact was good air conditioning. Very comfortable and charming hotel. Great location.
- Yu (10/5): Great service a little difficult to find - Great service. The place is a little difficult to find but if you have a smartphone with GPS it should be OK. Very convenient location
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice room, in the heart of Venice. - Hard to find without GPS because of how addresses work in Venice, but beautiful spot near a square, canal, gondoliers, etc. Lots of things close by. A nice quiet room with nice bed. Lots of room and good bathroom. Helpful staff. A nice stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): nice hotel - nice hotel and location is great. Except the staff don't speak much English.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very Nice - I spent one night at the Alloggi. It was a very nice quiet, quaint hotel. The airconditioning was nice to have as it was very warm in July. The map on my phone made it easy to find, it is a bit off the main walkway. I would definitley stay here again. Great location as well.
- bojan (10/5): Great llittle gem in tje heart of San Marco - Hard to find, but worth it!
Very small hotel but nicely maintained with cery kind personnell
- Lori (8/5): Perfect Location - This is a bargain hotel so don't expect 5 star service or amenities but was perfect for us. The location is central for all the best parts of Venice. We didn't need to pay outrageous prices for a gondola ride because they passed right under our window so we got to hear the beautiful serenading. The room was large and clean. They also had free WiFi, spotty access but good enough. Would definitely stay here again.
- Raul (8/5): Very well located - We booked the hotel without noticing that the check in was until 8.30 pm and our flight was landing in Treviso at 10. We tried to contact the hotel (I sent an email and we called them several times), but we couldn't speak with anyone. The day we arrived we feared we wouldn't have a room. I don't know how would I have found it without google maps. Fortunately, when we arrived at 11.30 pm there was one persona waiting for us and we did our check in. That was the first and last time we saw any staff from the hotel. On Sunday, when we left, we did as it was said in a notice board in our bedroom. We left the room with the key in the lock. Breakfast wasn't included.
The experience was more as if you were in a house, with your keys, than a hotel, but it was good enough. The room had a good size (it had a double bed and two single beds), the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good too. It was very clean and due to its location, there were not any noise during the nights, as it was very quiet. In the mornings you could hear a gondola or a watertaxi as one side of the room faces a small canal, but it was ok.
The location is great, just 5 minutes away from Rialto bridge and about 5 minutes away from Piazza San Marco. And we had free wifi
