• Verified traveler (10/5): - Stanza davvero pulita e ben organizzata, con angolo cottura a scomparsa, 2 finestre in camera ed 1 in bagno, frigo( dotato di prosciutto, formaggio, uova, marmellata, nutella e succhi per la colazione), microonde, posate, pentole, sapone per piatti e spugna, pulizia quotidiana con ripristino delle dotazioni, ospite semplicemente perfetto, educato, puntuale e pieno di ottimi consigli per un piacevole soggiorno a Venezia!
• Lutz (10/5): Superklasse! - Wir sind von der Unterkunft absolut begeistert. Die Lage ist exzellent und man erreicht in wenigen Gehminuten den Markusplatz und ist sofort an der Alademia-Brücke. Abends sitzt man fast vor der Haustür in einem Lokal auf dem Santo Stefano Platz, wo es mehrere Cafés und Restaurants gibt, die gute Bewirtung zu vernünftigen Preisen gibt. Der Hausherr ist sehr nett und gibt als Venezianer gute Tips und Hinweise. Das Frühstück ist optimal, denn der Kühlschrank wird immer wieder nachgefüllt, so dass man sich auch einen Imbiss für unterwegs machen kann, ohne dass es peinlich wird. Von uns also eine rundum positive Bewertung!!
• Barbara A (6/5): Hidden gem with kinks to work out. - Amazing building- venitian architecture. Was told it was 16th century. Inside updated with all conveniences for a comfy stay. However... No direction regarding entrance to building and where the light switches were! We entered to a large dark vestibul. And they put us on the 4th floor! What the? When we asked about the lights told " its not a problem". Really? Walking up 4 flights of stairs in the dark is a problem. I carry a flashlight but it was not adequate. On our 2nd night we were told where the light switches were at the entrance. A little late to the party but helped the next day. All in all - great place, outfitted well, besides the stiff towels, and close to restaurants.

• Bill (10/5): Great place! - We had a great stay. Giorgio was amazing at giving us tips and local places to visit. The breakfast was very filling and satisfying. It is quiet location that is very centrally located. The bed was a little firm for us, but that would be the only thing we could say.

He gave us lots of tips of where to go and what to do (which is helpful if you want a pleasant stay in tourist-packed and can-be-expensive place like Venice). La ubicación impecable te permitía facil acceso a todo. Costo adecuado para la calidad del servicio. Lo único que es necesario.considerar es que hay que subir por escalera. Pasamos precioso y regresaríamos.

• Michael (10/5): Clean, quiet and friendly B&B - Although it is close to the center of Venice (less than 10 min walking from Piazza San Marco), the room (I had one in the upper floor) was very quiet. It was large, clean and included a kitchenette. It also had an air con (which I did not use). The host is very friendly and helpful. He had sent very useful information prior to my arrival including a well-made "how to reach the B&B" that gave an image by image route description, which made it easy to find the place. I enjoyed the stay and will certainly return to this place.

• Sheffin (10/5): Fantastic host, breakfast, and stay! - The host is fantastic! I've never felt so comfortable and taken care of. I'd definitely recommend staying here! The only thing is that you have to walk up 4 flights of stairs to get to the room and there is no elevator, which would only be an issue if you are traveling with older people.
• Susan (10/5): Wonderful Air B&B style place! - Owner Giorgio is fantastic! Very nice room with kitchenette. Cleaning lady brought full breakfast makings everyday. There is a 60 step walk up because it’s Venice, but it’s clean, comfy, you can cook there and it’s super close to Saint Marks.

The (prepare-yourself) breakfast was great, and the location was absolutely perfect. it was quiet, charming and within a few minutes of all the touristy spots. We hope to return someday!

Owner was too friend and accommodating and made our trip a lot easier. Everything was writhing walking distance. Highly recommend it!

Giorgio, the owner was very welcoming and gave us information on where to eat, places to see and an area map. He also provided food items to make breakfast, which were fresh and delicious. Host also provided a map and written recommendations plus good advice. We were very comfortable during our stay. Host is top notch.

It is one the third floor (American) so if climbing stairs is an issue that might be a problem. But for us it was great value for a great place from which to visit Venice,

He provided us with lots of helpful recommendations about places to see and good places to eat while in Venice. The apartment was very well located and it was easy to find. • Shivaji (10/5): fantastic stay @ santo stefano B&B - Mr. Giorgio has created a home for us right in the middle of popular San Marco district. he is most caring with eye for detail to take care of all your needs. room has a fully equipped kitchenette which was a boon for us vegetarians. the fridge is well stocked everyday for a breakfast that will make an American feel at ease!! location is outstanding - everything is a Stone's throw. Giorgio also helps with great recommendations about shopping, eating and drinking places. overall, fantastic and I feel like coming again!

(10/5): Clean, light, self-catering studio, great location - It's a clean, bright, spacious studio (ie. one big room with an en-suite) with everything you need to make light meals, store your stuff and generally relax into your own routine, rather than that of a hotel/B&B. Location is brilliant - above a busy but quiet street (Calle de le Botteghe) that has a great cicchetti bar, cafes, a gelateria, grocery shop and a wine shop, and is only a few minutes walk to pretty much everything you'd want to see and do in Venice. Also very close to two vaporetto stops and to Campo San Stefano so easy to find. The owner, Giorgio, lives next door and is superbly helpful providing great food/drink/place recommendations and whatever local info you need. Some supplies are provided in the fridge and the studio is cleaned every day, plus there's wifi. The bed is two singles pushed together rather than an actual double, but that's no big deal because it's both comfy and spotlessly clean. You might want to bring earplugs though because building work next door starts early! Would 100% recommend this as a clean, affordable, very easy and civilised way to stay in a beautiful city, away from the insane crowds of San Marco/Rialto but still right by plenty of places to eat, drink, get around and more.

The kitchenette is cute, the bed is comfortable, and the room was cleaned and food restocked daily. We loved the location, as everything in Venice was walkable from there. We also like old buildings, but you have to not mind climbing stairs.

Du coup, vous n'avez pas de contrainte d'heure pour le petit-déjeuner. En terme d'accès, il est à 5 minutes d'un arrêt de vaporetto (ligne n°1, arrêt Sant' Angelo) ce qui est pratique quand on arrive le premier jour et pour repartir.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Not sure what to say - I think Stefano B&B had some good, some bad. Overall, it was okay. The good? Great location, clean, helpful staff, stocked fridge. The bad? First, I was very clear with Giorgio that we were arriving early and that we needed to check-in early. He said he would be at the B&B to meet us around 9A (I kept all correspondence with him). When we arrived, he was not available but a lady, Elena, was available and told us our room would NOT be ready until normal check-in (2P). If I knew this, I would NOT have stayed at this B&B. We left the B&B and walked around for hours, returned at 2P and were told the room would NOT be ready until 3P. I told the housekeeper we would wait. She let us into our room at 2:35P. I thought this was VERY poor taste. Second, it is not a B&B, it is an apartment stocked with food but it is not a B&B. There is no sign on the outside to let you know it is anything but an apartment. Third, there were mosquitos in the room that kept me up most of the night. My husband was bitten us (mosquitos have no interest in my blood so they were buzzing in my ear all night). Finally, it is a LOT of stairs to get to the apartment. Carrying luggage, with no elevator, back and forth, it is a haul. I do think, for the price and local, it's okay ... but if you need to have an early arrival, like I did, I would pass. If you have health issues, I would pass, too.

Etage ohne Lift aber grosszuegiges Treppenhaus. Kuechen-Nische war mit allem ausgestattet, inklusive Zutaten fuer Fruehstueck. Sehr lecker. Wer die Restaurant-Preise in Venedig kennt, der freut sich ueber die Moeglichkeit selber zu kochen. Mehrere Supermaerkte in der Altstadt.

• Michele Bauer (10/5): a gem in Venice - Giorgio, our host, rents out the studio apartment next to his apartment in a wonderful section of Venice near Piazza San Marco (but off the tourist path). He is very friendly, gave us maps with names and locations of wonderful restaurants on them, had the room cleaned daily. The room is very nice and the bathroom quite large for Italy, which we appreciated. The real surprise was that instead of a prepared breakfast, large amounts of wonderful food, with many choices, were put in the kitchen daily for breakfast and snacks. I will certainly tell people who are going to Venice to take advantage of this great place!!
• Verified traveler (10/5): Most Excellent B&B - The owner of this B&B was excellent, helpful, informative, and the quality wonderful. He is a lecturer at the university and can explain the restaurants in and outs, boats, travel, good locations to eat, and a supermarket is about 2 streets away. He is centrally located, walking distance to everywhere. The room has a mini kitchen with fridge, stove, sink, cookware, silverware, everything you need. They supply eggs, fruit, yogurt, milk, juice, meat, cheese, tart, coffee, cookies, bread for your breakfast, but you can go to the store to help with lunch and dinner. Air conditioning, books in English and other languages. ABSOLUTELY the best deal and location.
• Karen (10/5): very nice room with kitchen, central location - We stayed 3 nights and were very pleased. Giorgio the owner was very helpful with giving us ideas of restaurants to try and things to do. He lead us to amazing cicheti and wine bar and gelateria!! Also in the morning we had our fridge stocked with breakfast foods such as eggs and cheese and prosciutto and bread and milk and juice... All we could need!! Having a kitchen was good, since we were able to visit Rialto market and make a nice lunch one day and go to nearby grocery store for delicious pasta and fresh cheese. The area is really nice - definitely visit the Dorsoduro area... Much less touristy! Everything was nice and clean and functional. The room also includes guide books! Such a great idea! Thanks, we would recommend!!
• Ed n Be (10/5): Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! - Ten thumbs up for Santo Stephano B&B and for Giorgio its inn-keeper. We were welcomed as if we knew them for years! What an exceptional service. From picking us up at the vaporetto, helping us with our luggage, to providing full directions to sites and activities in Venice. The room was a studio apartment, super comfortable, superbly well stocked (eggs, milk, coffee, cheese, jams, tarts, bread, cold cuts, juice and fully equipped kitchen) self service continental breakfast, a good size bed and bath, and daily cleaning service a plus. Do not pass this opportunity for a wonderful place to stay in Venizia.
• Nis (10/5): Beliggenhed og gæstfrihed i top - Fin beliggenhed 10 minutters gang fra Sct. Markus. Værten, Giorgio, taler glimrende engelsk og tager rigtig godt mod en og anbefaler uopfordret gode steder i Venedig - og er konstant til at træffe og meget beredvillig til hjælpe på alle måder han kan. Selve rummet er simpelt men rent og fint nok til vores standard.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect Location - Perfect for some, not for others - First, this is not your typical hotel. In fact it's not a hotel at all. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous and want a different sort of Venice experience I highly recommend this B&B. You'll basically be staying in your own apartment complete with well stocked kitchen. If you're after a typical hotel with service desk etc. it's not for you. My wife and I loved it. First the location is right in the center of a very popular area of Venice so everything you need is within walking distance. The place is a bit hard to find, but upon arrival the owner of the B&B gave me his cell phone number and clear instructions. The apartment is located on a small quiet street and is several floors up with no lift so you'll need to navigate multiple flights of stairs. Giorgio is an amazing host. He made my wife and I very comfortable in Venice including restaurant recommendations and was available whenever we had questions. He is what made the visit perfect. The room was clean and refreshed daily. If you're used to staying in a very nice hotel it might feel a bit too "real" for you. If you have issues with stairs this would not be the place for you. If you are wanting a great place to stay that is comfortable, convenient and you want to feel like you are living like a local would, this is a great place and we would highly recommend it.
