• Elizabeth (10/5): Great stay. Would recommend Kane Hall. - We had an initial problem accessing the building as the reception is only manned until 12.30. We were slightly later arriving and unknown to us an email had been sent with contact details but as our device was in our suitcase we didn’t see it. However another resident who was departing kindly contacted the number and let us in. If this had been apparent the day before we travelled it would have been helpful. Otherwise, the hotel was perfectly situated. Very nice room and well equipped. The lady who served breakfast was excellent. Very helpful and keen to assist with anything. She was amazing. She even ordered our taxi when we were leaving. The room was cleaned every day and was very nicely done. Early advice about access the building would have been helpful but this is not a criticism it’s just we are elderly and not used to looking at our devices for messages whilst travelling.

• Paola (8/5): camera molo bella, ma siamo stati sfortunati - Camera bella e ampia, probabilmente ristrutturata di recente. Pulita e in un’ottima posizione. Chiudendo le finestre, il rumore esterno rimane fuori (anche se la strada non è particolarmente affollata), quindi la stanza risulta ben insonorizzata. L’impressione generale è stata molto buona. Probabilmente, in un periodo diverso da quello in cui ho soggiornato io, la consiglierei senza esitazioni. La cosa peggiore è stata lo scarico della doccia. In una camera ristrutturata da poco, con un bagno così bello, è davvero un peccato non curare questi particolari: l’acqua non defluisce e rimane stagnante, cosa tutt’altro che piacevole. Inoltre mancava la connessione internet e, di conseguenza, la TV non funzionava. La proprietaria si è scusata dicendo che non dipendeva da loro; tuttavia noi siamo rimasti due giorni senza connessione e, all’interno della stanza, il telefono non prende. Per avere segnale bisogna andare alla finestra, come ci ha suggerito lei. Considerato che il costo della stanza non è basso, sarebbe stato corretto avvisare prima. Tra l’altro la signora ha detto che avevo pagato meno (!) proprio per questo problema: ma se lo sapeva, perché non avvertire in anticipo? Un altro aspetto negativo è che prima del soggiorno non ho ricevuto risposta né su Booking né alle email. Da un host che pubblica su Booking mi aspetterei una comunicazione puntuale, cosa che purtroppo non è avvenuta.Fortunatamente durante il soggiorno rispondeva ai whatsapp. Avevo anche chiesto in anticipo se fosse possibile lasciare i bagagli sia prima del check-in sia dopo il check-out, ma non ho ricevuto risposta. Alla fine del soggiorno ci è stato poi detto che non sarebbe stato possibile tenerli, sempre a causa di lavori non dipendenti da loro. Non è certo un servizio dovuto, ma sarebbe stata una cortesia molto apprezzata. Peccato, perché la struttura avrebbe potuto meritare un 9. Probabilmente siamo stati semplicemente sfortunati noi.
• Jose Antonio (9/5): No es el típico hotel pero es lo típico que buscas para alojarte - La habitación es perfecta, es limpia, cómoda grande aparte de la cama teníamos dos sofás, muy bien la verdad! Y la ubicación es increíble! Mejor ubicación para hacer turismo y estar en el centro de todo es imposible! Noté la habitación un poco fría y el cuarto de baño igual pero nada grave aparte la habitación tiene aire acondicionado con bomba de calor, el wifi va fatal eso sí, pero como tampoco pasamos mucho tiempo en la habitación nos dio bastante igual, el desayuno te lo llevan a la habitación por lo que no es el típico desayuno buffet de hotel pero el croissant de chocolate y el capuchino que nos llevaron a la hora que les indicamos estaban buenísimos!

• Zerina (7/5): Overall, while the location is a strong advantage, several aspects related to comfort and facilities could be improved t - On a positive note, the location was very good. The property is centrally located and easily accessible by public transportation, particularly by bus. Most of the main attractions are within walking distance, which made moving around the city convenient and ultimately reduced the need for public transport. Additionally, it was very nice that we were able to leave our luggage at the property before check-in time and after check-out until our flight, which was very convenient and appreciated. One aspect that was inconvenient was the room access card policy. Even though we were two guests staying in the same room, we were informed at reception that only one access card was allowed. This required constant coordination between us when entering or leaving the property and was not practical for two people with different schedules. Heating was the main issue during our stay. The room did not have continuous heating and relied entirely on the air conditioning unit. When leaving the room, the heating system would turn off automatically. As a result, each time we returned, the room was extremely cold. It took around 20 minutes for the AC unit to start functioning properly and at least an hour for the room to reach a near-comfortable temperature. The bathroom, however, remained cold, as the placement of the air conditioning unit did not allow sufficient heating in that area. Given the very low temperatures in Rome during those days, this significantly affected comfort. From an infrastructure perspective, lighting was another drawback. The corridor lighting inside the room was very dim, making it difficult to clearly see the wardrobe and surrounding area. Additional points worth mentioning are that slippers were not provided. Breakfast was served in the room and was very minimalistic, consisting of the bare essentials, with limited variety and quantity.

Preciso il servizio di colazione La camera era abbastanza fredda e umida, dotata solamente di pompa di calore oppure il riscaldamento a pavimento sembrava spento. Ha piovuto costantemente durante il soggiorno quindi il problema è emerso particolarmente. L'offerta della colazione potrebbe essere più ampia o flessibile. Non sono mai stati cambiati gli asciugamani e anche se messi a terra sono stati riappesi.

Lots of mould on the ceiling of the bathroom. Shower draining poorly. USB outlet next to bed not working. Safe in room also had an issue at the start although the housekeeper did manage to unlock it for us.

• Abdullah (6/5): - المكان نظيف والسرير مريح والغرفة واسعه. التعامل جداً سيىء اخبرتهم قبل اسكن عن وقت الرحلة والمغادرة ولكن ما طالو فيني وطلبو التاكس حق المدينه ولاعندهم آله لدفع واخروني على الرحلة.. المكان شامل للفطور وكان عرض الفطور خيارات متعدده ولكن الي جابته لي للغرفه خبز قديم ناشف وقهوة .. وتقول مو متوفر عندنا الي موجود في العرض. الغرفه في الدور الثاني وتعبنا من تطليع الشناط مع الدرج..

• Benedetta (10/5): Confort al centro di Roma - Le camere si trovano in un bel palazzo storico ad angolo con piazza Matteotti perfettamente ristrutturato, pulito e ben servito. La stanza era molto ampia, ho molto apprezzato la divisione degli spazi e la cabina armadio. La posizione era centralissima, dietro il ghetto e a pochi passi dall’isola tiberina. Lo staff davvero gentile e cordiale, disponibile ad ogni richiesta, anche a trattenere i bagagli dopo il check out, in più la colazione a vassoio era una vera coccola, con tanto di servizi di piatti e bicchieri “buoni”. Considerati i prezzi medi della zona, direi anche onesto come costi. Consigliato! La struttura non è servita dalla metro, ma questo non è colpa dei gestori!

• Julia (4/5): - I have emailed booking.com this morning For the last 3 days of our 5 day stay..the floors directly above us have been the subject of constant renovations , heavy duty drilling machines and jack hammering almost non -stop. The janitor said he knew nothing about it and that was that. As he left at 12.30 pm daily he didn’t have to endure the violent noise. He did what he had to do and left. This is a prime example of how no proper humans contact will never work. We felt so sorry for the next people who were due to arrive. We feel we are due for a refund of the last 3days. • Emily (9/5): Fantastic staff. Gorgeous room. Great location. - Beautiful room located in a great spot in Rome. Able to work to things like Trevi Fountain or colosseum. Short bus ride to the Vatican with bus stops very close to the hotel. Staff delivered breakfast to our room each morning and were lovely and friendly. Of course being such an old building at times the hot water wasn’t always working for a shower. Had to time them well which was hard when wanting to go out and see things.

• Nadja Lanz (8/5): - Schönes Hotel sehr zentral gelegen. Das Hotel ist in der Nähe der Piazza Campo de` Fiori und öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln. Trotz zentraler Lage ist es in der Nacht ruhig. Im Zimmer ist ein modriger Geruch, der vom Schimmel im Bad kommt. Sehr steile Treppe um in den ersten Stock zu gelangen. Kein Lift vorhanden.
