Guest Reviews
- Christine (10/5): Great place to stay in Rome - Absolutely lovely! I booked this based on reviews, and it did not disappoint. It is basically a bed and breakfast, in a quiet area, but within easy walking distance to The Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. We only stayed one night but I would easily stay here again. Clean, friendly.
- Jack (10/5): - The staff were amazing, anything you needed they were there for you! Staff were only around in the AM but you were able to contact them if needed. The breakfast was nice but would be great if had more variety of food. The only thing I can add, is if there could be a fan / or something in the room. As there is no air corn in the room at warmer nights, it can really get warm in the rooms and feel stuffy especially if you suffer from hayfever etc! This is the only comment I would add. Overall fantastic room / location really central / felt really safe and really clean. So thank you for the most amazing stay.
- Rob (10/5): - Great location, about 15 minutes walk from the train station. Near great places to eat that aren't filled with too many touristy area. Very quiet location and very safe since its located next to Italian Government buildings. We stayed here twice, a week apart. And this is our new favorite place to come back to. I would note, this isn't a typical "Marriott/Hyatt" type of hotel with full service. Its more of a local/european style.
- Andrea (10/5): - Very welcoming helpful staff. Coffee machine always available in entrance. Always lots of police and guards around being near the American embassy and other guarded buildings. We arrived very early just to drop our cases off but our room was already. Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay here
- Hardy Scheming (10/5): - Easy to navigate Rome from here. Hosts are great. Would recommend
- Josephine (10/5): - Great place. No problems. Bug rooms and nice bathrooms
- Michal (6/5): - Sehr einfaches, langweilliges Frühstuck, aber ansonsten alles top
- Dennis (10/5): - Very easy access. Excellent responsiveness by manager/owner.
- Zenaida (10/5): - Everything went very smooth. Staff was very friendly.
- Luz Ma (10/5): Will definitely return. - Everything amazing!! Ms. Giulia and The staff were very kind!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent communication and super easy check in. Very spacious room in a great, quiet location.
- Darren (10/5): - It was located on walking distance of trevi fountain area and termini. The quality of the room was excellent.
- Suzy (8/5): - The hotel was delightful and it was in a very good location. The staff were exceptionally helpful and gave us some great tips on restaurants and tourists attractions. We spent a lovely couple of nights there, thank you
- fofosen (10/5): Excellent location close to the train station - Well located close to barberini train station and roma termini. Lot of restaurants nearby and close to many attractions by foot or by train. Overall pleased with the accommodation.
- Angela (10/5): Great small hotel with friendly and helpful staff - Very good small hotel - comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Well located near metro.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable room, great location. - Whenever you stay in a beautiful city, the accomodation adds to the experience, and for our family, the whole experience was lovely. We booked two neighbouring rooms for ourselves and our daughters and we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at Residenza Roma in Rome. The room is a comfortable size (for 2) with a very comfortable king bed, and a spacious bathroom. The buffet breakfast was amazing and offered a variety of choices from toast and cereal , to beautiful Italian style cakes and pastries ( the Torta di Nonna is to die for!). The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is within walking distance to The Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps,,The Colosseum and the shopping strip, but far away enough to be out of the tourist swarms. There are some lovely cafes and restaurants nearby which are frequented by locals, and best of all, there are three amazing gelaterias and a wonderful deli close by. Highly recommended.
Recomendo!
- Stephen (10/5): Excellent - Worth every penny. Clean, new, great location. Nice breakfast buffet. Small, intimate, friendly feel. Best stay of our five city trip.
- Robyn (10/5): Whistle stop in Rome - We booked Residenza Roma Centro based on the reviews of others and it did not disappoint. From the moment we booked, Giulia answered any questions that were put to her with prompt, professional courtesy. The young lady who checked us in was polite, efficient and professional and the breakfast area she prepared was stocked with ample selection of enough food to begin the day. We were given local maps and information that were useful, even though we also used google maps.
The security door system is indicative of the residences in Europe and was no problem. Loved the older outside elevator with the wrought iron cage decorations. The room itself consisted of 2 single beds pushed together, (very European), a wardrobe and desk area with integrated bar fridge. Bathroom was clean and modern with a huge marble tiled shower with rainhead, toilet and bidet and wash basin.
We only had 36hrs in Rome but we managed to fit in walking the streets, eating gelati, shopping, the Trevi Fountain and a meal the first evening. The next full day we walked to the Colosseum, where we had prebooked tickets for underground and 3rd tier (well worth it),the Forum and Palatine Hill. We decided not to use maps to find our way back home and enjoyed discovering pretty statues and architecture, foods...the one thing we particularly love is the free running water found in abundant fountains-no need to buy water!
We finished off at the Spanish Steps, people watching and looking at the window displays of Fendi
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel is very well located. It's in a very high standard area. The rooms are very well organized in the meaning that you have almost everything you need. The staff is helpful and ready for your demands. It's very rare to find such services in hotels with this rates.
I was very happy to find this place, and while visiting Rome any other time, I will be more than happy to stay in The Rezidanza Roma Centro.
- Tonya (10/5): Nice hotel not far from everything - Staff was wonderful. Very helpful with directions and sites to see. Rooms were nice, secure, and air conditioning worked great.
- Aki (10/5): Safe, Clean, Warm Atmosphere - The hotel staff are all excellent. Especially, I am grateful for Indira's kind help and warm smile. I traveled myself, but it was very comfortable and safe trip because of this hotel. Thank you very much!
- H. Wayne (8/5): - This is nice little hotel, located in a good neighborhood, several blocks from the crowed tourist areas and metro stations. Staff was friendly and helpful. Everyone spoke English. Room was small but nice. Wi-Fi was pretty good. Breakfast was okay, only offered boiled eggs but, otherwise, food was good. About four blocks from Metro stations. Overall, good hotel for the price.
- Bogdan (10/5): Superb place! - Amazing stay! Extremely clean place and very helpful stuff. Delicious breakfast! :)
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet, clean and comfortable - The room was very comfortable, the breakfast buffet was adequate and tasty, the staff was very polite. We would stay again if we travel to Rome in the future.
- Trevor & Gail (10/5): Cosy Boutique in Rome - After a moment's doubt when arriving at the inconspicuous front door, we were delighted with the warm welcome and the cosy interior of this little gem of a hotel. There are only 10 rooms, so individual attention is assured and little requests are handled comfortably without fuss. It felt more like being a visitor in a private home, rather than as a guest in a hotel. Although small, we loved the décor and the room contained everything we needed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient and clean - Nice small bed and breakfast type hotel (10 rooms) close to Via Veneto right behind the US embassy. The place is clean and quite. The breakfasts are good. Overall a good deal and conveniently located
- Suneel (10/5): Best place to stay in Rome! - A couple of floors in an apartment building but the best bet for staying in this area. Relatively close to the nearest Metro station as well, a great breakfast and friendly staff! would definitely go back if I am in Rome again.
- Alex (10/5): Great location... - We spent a weekend in the hotel. The locaion is great. Staff is always ready to help. The locations just across the US Embassy in Rome is great. Walking distance to Via Apia, Termini, Piazza de la Republica, Triton and other emblematic sites...
- Eddie (10/5): Rome hotel - the location of this hotel was absolutely perfect. Central to all the tourist attractions throughout Rome. I can. It say enough about how nice the entire hotel staff was. They were extremely polite, helpful, and always went out of their way to make sure our stay was a perfect 10. The free breakfast was amazing they served pastries, boiled eggs, ham, cheese, prosciutto, cereal, juice and coffee.
The bathroom has a jetted tub, mine however didn't work, but they offered to move me into a new room.
- Barry (10/5): Great B&B close to the heart of Rome. - While I thought I was booking into a larger hotel, this is actually a bottle a 10-12 unit B&B. However, the neighborhood was on a quiet street, it was close to major Rome attractions, the staff were super helpful, breakfasts were very well done, rooms were modern and very clean and comfortable. The only thing we had an issue with was after arriving at 1:00 AM on a Sunday morning, we were awakened by a very loud church service in the same building when we were trying to get some sleep. Other than that, a great experience and I would recommend to anyone.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice place to stay - Nice place to stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice and convinience - Nice and convinience
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Only stayed the one night, but staff was very nice and helpful.
- Angela (10/5): A great choice for a stay on Florence. - This was a wonderful hotel with wonderful staff. Great location.
- Jens (10/5): A great place to stay in Roma - Very good location, clean room and good breakfast, staff are very helpful, lots of great restaurants nearby, highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice neighborhood, not as centrally located - This hotel worked well for our family of three, on a recent three-night stay in Rome. We arrived in Rome by rental car, turned in our rental car at the nearby Hertz location (there is also a nearby Avis), and then just walked to the hotel from Hertz. The neighborhood is quiet and feels very safe, the hotel is right down the street from the US embassy, and there are lots of diplomats and working professionals walking around.
Our triple room was rather small, even in comparison to other Italian hotels. The three beds left little room for baggage, maneuvering, etc. The bathroom was very nice, but the shower/tub was very finicky, too many gadgets and not enough splash control.
The free breakfast was more than adequate, served in a nice bright room with the morning news playing on a flat screen TV. The staff was very helpful, helping us to print out our Vatican tickets, giving us recommendations on nearby shops, etc.
This hotel is close enough to the Termini train station and to nearby Metro stations such as Republicca. But it's a long walk from the hotel to many of the main tourist attractions such as the Pantheon, Roman Forum, Vatican, Spanish Steps, and Piazza Navona. So plan to either use the Metro or do lots of walking!
- sandra (6/5): - Remember my watch in the room, specifically in bed and call them to guard him and pass me by but I was told that there was nothing impossible is left with the
- Verified traveler (10/5): 5/5 would recommend! - Very great place! Very welcoming, helpful, and the food was great!
- David (10/5): Quiet, nice, B&B in great location - My wife and I wanted a convenient, quiet, and inexpensive place to stay following a transatlantic cruise to Rome. This B&B was perfect. Our room was not large, but it had a very roomy bathroom with a nice tub/shower. We also had a refrigerator and a safe. The facility was small, only a few rooms, on a quiet side street near the US Embassy. Very near Borguese Gallery, Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain. Coliseum and Forum a bit farther (.6 miles approx) but for the energetic, not a bad walk. The Vatican not too far, perhaps a mile, so a short cab ride probably appropriate.
I would definitely stay at this facility again.
- Scott (10/5): ResidenzaRomaCentro Review - Staff extremely friendly and helpful at all times. Hotel very clean and at a great price for the location
- Alejandro (10/5): Great value - A great hotel for the price. Clean, big riooms, very well located
- Kara (10/5): Great location and super clean - When we arrived at the B&B, Franseco was very helpful and accomadating. Our rooms were spacious an very clean. I don't usually stay in B&B's and was very pleased with this stay.
- Jrod (10/5): Loved it almost as much as gelato - Loved it so much we stayed an extra night! Clean room, very clean bathroom and very nice amenities. The A/C worked wonderfully to cool off. Decently close to the metro station. Great location for a great value in Rome.
- mossy (10/5): excellent value, location and service. Spotless! - The hotel were expecting us when we arrived late evening. didnt need to produce paperwork or anything. taken to our room which was as new. given all the info we need and a complimentary I-Pad for our stay. Wi-fi in the room was excellent which is unusual for a hotel. great service from helpful staff. Breakfast is the usual meats, cheeses, fruit, pastry, cereal, breads and juices. Great coffee too. We will be staying here next time we visit.
- Peter (10/5): very convenient location - This hotel is located close to Piazza Barberini, just about 5 minutes walk. We had a very nice room, very well kept, clean and comfortable . People who operate this hotel are very welcoming , dedicated and they went a long way to make sure we had a nice stay. They were helping us with booking excursions , advising us about places to visit and they also have a connection with a taxi service that took us to the airport for 45 Euro. The breakfast was good and with some good items to choose. I definitely would recommend this hotel and I will gladly return back there.
- Scott (10/5): A gem in Rome! - Great little hotel! Very modern, but just a few rooms. Operates like a B&B, rooms are like a nice hotel. Staffed 24 hours, more than regular B&B. Extremely nice and accommodating staff. We had early tix one day for Vatican tour, and they brought us breakfast to room an hour before published breakfast time. Breakfast advertised as "continental," but they had lots of stuff, including delicious whole fresh fruits (apples, kiwis, bananas, even fresh peaches). Location is very quiet, perhaps a bit too far from sights, but Metro only a 5 minute walk away, quick trip to anywhere. Highly recommend! Oh, and they loan you an iPad when you walk in.
- zach (8/5): very good for that neighborhood at that price - booked a night here after two weeks of staying in budget hotels in Italy to get a good nights rest, and I was almost not disappointed. the rooms are very nice, every bit as good as the photos, the hotel is quiet secure and well maintained (it's on the second floor of a building and not outrageously well marked tho not at all hard to find if you have the address), and is thankfully just far enough away from the train station to be away from the vagrants and such without having to drag your bag across town - in fact when I passed by that area later I realized there's a UN related building on the next block with some SERIOUS security, so I would guess that street is safe (for Rome) at any hour. also, the breakfast was VERY good, plentiful, and the help was charming. the only small flaw was that there was a vent from my room into the main hallway so I was awoken early by people checking out - the desk clerk indicated they'll be fixing all sorts of things like that when they renovate this fall. overall a very good choice.
- Kuni (10/5): Outstanding Politeness - I stayed at ResidenzaRomaCentro in Aug with two orhter family members. Because I booked the last room on the previous night and there was a guest who needed to stay longer due to an unavoidable reason, there were some confusions at first when we checked in. However, the management staff of ResidenzaRoma responded in an extreamly polite and responsible way and I was completely satisfied with the substitute hotel nearby arranged by ResidenzaRoma. I definitely recommend this hotel since you will never see rude attitudes I have sometimes seen under an undexpected situation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fabulous small hotel in central Rome - We had a wonderful stay at this gem in central Rome. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well-appointed and immaculate. I would definitely stay there again. It is a small hotel with only 5 rooms. We were traveling with other family members so we took up 3 of the rooms during our stay. All of us were very pleased with the accommodations and all three rooms had comfortable beds.
The hotel is located across the street from the American Embassy so you can't beat the address. Quiet at night but an easy walk to nearby restaurants and the Metro.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent choice - Me, my husband and my parents recently spent a week at this hotel and we were extremely satisfied. The staff was very helpful, the rooms spacious and in excellent shape. We really appreciated one morning we woke up and our coffee's were already made and waiting on our table. The location was perfect. I can not say enough pleasant things about this establishment and staff. This hotel was well worth the money, we have stayed at various hotels in Europe and were pleasantly surprised at size and cleanliness this hotel, we would definitely recommend it. Hotel was especially nice because I was able to speak with front desk and they would tell me if the rest of my group had made it back due to only having 5 rooms. We will stay again if we ever make it back to Rome.
