jose (10/5): Una estancia perfecta. 20/10 - Era la primera vez que estábamos en Roma. La verdad que el hotel esta muy cercano al Vaticano. La parada más cercana es Lepanto, pero en metro es rápido a cualquier parte. Desde el hotel al coliseo en taxi 9,60€ La limpieza del hotel es excelente, huele a limpio. Los desayunos a 10€/día están completos, pudiendo pedir lo que te guste. Desde el primer momento estuvieron atentos hasta nuestra llegada, la verdad que muy positiva la estancia, y si volvemos a Roma, este hotel sin duda lo reservaremos.

It really made the difference. The B&B was spotless and included all comforts, including super fast wifi, which the kids loved. Visto che domenica mattina sarei dovuta uscire molto presto, il gestore ha avuto il gradito pensiero di farmi trovare pronto tutto il necessario per un caffè (avevo detto che al risveglio prendo solo questo). Una struttura davvero ottima sotto tutti i punti di vista.

Breakfast is nothing more than average at best. Bed was comfortable and despite other reviews - found it to be very quiet. Would not likely return again.
Mira (8/5): - The location was great. It was quiet but close to everything. I had to change rooms after first night and that was tough as I had tours planned every day. Also, I was not able to use my visa for transfer payment and it was a Sunday and the bank next door was closed. After paying, I had little cash left and they would not accept US dollars. Wish I had known sooner and I could have exchanged money. They were not interested in the fact that I had no euros for the day... better communication and flexibility would be nice.

Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Just to give you an idea of how great they were, Breakfast was served at 0830. But because we were leaving early in the morning, they wanted to make sure we got something to eat so they started serving breakfast early, just for us. I have two very young kids and they were more than accommodating. As an added Bonus, I have never in all my years had such a wonderful sleep away from my own bed, the mattresses are extra soft, not the ones you would expect in a hotel. This is a place I would recommend to my friends.
Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect for a whirlwind weekend trip to Rome - Domus Cavour offered a small, sparsely decorated, clean room with a modern bathroom in a safe building as well as a refreshing daily breakfast and multiple parking options located conveniently to all major attractions. As others have mentioned, you can hear environmental noises and other residents; still, even as a light sleeper, I was not impacted by this. The shower's water temperature fluctuated a bit; but, for the two brief days we were there, it was not a big issue; (further, I trust that if we had mentioned it to Cris, he would have offered a solution or explanation; as, he and his staff were very pleasant and helpful). We appreciated all of the personal touches, assistance and recommendations provided by Cris and would look forward to staying here again, should we be so fortunate to visit the area again in the future.

Briana (10/5): Amazing B&B - My husband and I came to Rome for two weeks for a relaxing honeymoon in late December/early January. In the process of planning our trip, we stumbled upon Domus Cavour while searching for a hotel that was within our budget and also located near the heart of Rome. Domus Cavour far exceeded our expectations and ultimately proved to be the most enjoyable hotel experience I've ever had. The hotel comprises a single floor of a very large apartment building. The main entrance opens up on to a lobby and a general dining room equipped with tables for breakfast, computers for guests, and large comfy sofa. The room was modern, with TV/Cable, wifi and the best bed I have ever slept in at a hotel. The room was very spacious, and had a large private bathroom. In terms of cleanliness, the hotel is fastidiously cleaned each morning. It is located in a wonderful neighborhood of Rome. It is an easy walk to most of downtown Rome, the Vatican, and Metro (subway) stops. Domus Cavour is run by an incredible individual, who helped us learn about Rome, provide suggestions for where to visit, and most amazingly, prepares each morning an amazing breakfast! The amount of work Christiano devotes to running Domus Cavour is truly impressive. The staff were all especially friendly, professional and helpful. If you want a hotel that is quiet, run by an owner who cares about his guests, located outside the main touristy heart of Rome but an easy walk to all of the sites then this is the hotel you want.

James family (8/5): Smart 'tucked away' hotel in excellent location - An unusual setting for a B&B, being 1st floor of an apartment building, but in an excellent location for the Vatican / central Rome. Very clean, modern rooms and attentive / helpful owner. Good value and facilities, especially for grown ups. Young children may find it a little 'clean and tidy' for them. Rome is what you'd expect - lots of culture and history. We found the Rome roads really quiet in August which we didn't expect, and despite the warnings, there weren't big queues at the main attractions. Parking was easier and much cheaper than other parts of Italy we visited. Food and drink tends to be expensive in the restaurants, and if I'm honest, rather disappointing. everywhere offers the same choices, with limited options if you're vegetarian (thankfully I'm not but my daughter is).
Jason (10/5): Proximity and Value - Room was great and location was great. Easy walking distance to most of the mainstream sights of Rome. Staff was helpful in pointing out places to go and different ways of getting there (walking or transit). I didn't give the room full marks for comfort only because the air conditioning was a little weak. There were a few days where the temperature topped out over 100F / 38C and it didn't quite keep up so sleeping was a bit warmer than I prefer. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic though.

We could not have asked for a better place. We walked to all sightseeing locations and had easy access to taxi when needed. Virginia (10/5): Excellent bed and breakfast, centrally located - Domus Cavour is located near many tourists attractions (5 minutes to Piazza Navona and 10 minutes walking distance to the Vatican). The common area is beautifully decorated and comfortable as well as the bedrooms. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The host is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the area sites and restaurants.
Karly (8/5): Quiet, relaxing, simple B&B in bustling Rome - Domus Cavour was a tidy little guest house tucked away in busy Rome. It was perfect for my stay and I enjoyed the quiet retreat. My room was simple but very clean and tidy with a nice bathroom. Breakfast in the morning with the other guests was nice, fresh coffee and tea was brewed for you. The standard fare of cereals, pastry, toast, juices and depending on which staff member was on I was also offered eggs a few mornings. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Keith (8/5): Great facility/location although a bit noisy - A bit of an odd set-up in that hotel is one section of one floor of a building that includes a mix of residential and business. However, once you get into the "hotel" section, everything is quite nice. "Dining room" where breakfast is served is very neat and clean - breakfast is sufficient, cereal, yogurt, fruit. We had a quad room including one queen and two twin beds. Room was very nice, new, clean, bright, fresh - and quite large. The room, however, was directly on the street and we were kept awake some nights to the noise of garbage trucks emptying dumpsters and traffic just below our 2nd floor window. Otherwise great location, 10 minute walk to Vatican museum and 5 minutes to the Metro A line. The proprietors and staff were extremely helpful and accomodating, although there is not 24-hr staffing. Overall rating reflects great rooms/facility, staff and location. Only downside really is the noise, so if you are a heavy sleeper I'd highly recommend.

Jake (8/5): Loved it - This hotel is wonderful. We spent 3 nights there on our honeymoon. Did lots of sightseeing. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. It is in a nice part of town and close to many attractions. If you can't afforded a luxury hotel and want to stay in a very nice place. This is the place for you.

Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly B&B in great location - Although slightly tricky to find, once we arrived we were made most welcome by owner Cristiano. Good attention to detail and our room and bathroom was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good - a contrast to other similar B&Bs in Rome.
Adam (10/5): Beautiful B&B minutes from Vatican & Piazza Navona - Domus Cavour was a great little B&B with nice accommodations, an excellent location, close to major sites, but tucked away far enough that you're not surrounded by tourists, and an excellent owner.
Verified traveler (10/5): Great value and location - We stayed at Domus Cavour for three nights following a 2 week tour of Italy. I picked Domus Cavour because of its price and location, an easy walking distance from the Vatican and a short walk from the Rome city center. The room and breakfast/common area were charmingly decorated, well appointed, and clean. The proprietor was extremely helpful, providing us with a map and recommendations of places to visit in Rome on check-in and even offering to temporarily store a package for us when I realized I couldn't fit everything into my bag. The breakfast was good and included freshly bakes croissants and cakes.
Verified traveler (10/5): Great place close - We enjoyed our stay and the location worked great for our family with kids. we walked to the Vatican and many other great historical location in Rome. Metro is not far from hotel we only used it to go to the coliseum and we walked back to the hotel.
SJO (10/5): lovely little place - Only been the once to Rome and cannot compare, but my family and I thought this was a great little place, nice building, intimate little B&B. Very modern inside, very comfortable beds, quiet and pleasant neighbourhood. The manager helped us out with transfers which saved time and mucking about on public transport. Some good restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The Vatican city is a 10 minute walk away and the metro a 5 minute walk away. Small supermarket to get your water and basics just up the street. It was ideal for us. Would definitely recommend.

pollard (10/5): - We loved the warm friendly Italian hospitality received at Domus Cavour. The rooms are a little small but quite adequate. It was great to be offered cappuccinos at breakfast . We would recommend this establishment to others looking for good clean safe accommodation that is well situated with easy access to Rome's major sites. Add to this the great hospitality and information offered to guests. It is far the best B&B we have experienced in Rome

Les (8/5): A small and friendly B & B hotel in Rome - A very nice small b&b. In a very good location a few minutes from Castell San Angelo and a 10 minute walk from the Vatican. Well maintained by Mr De Benedetti the owner. The weather was very hot when we were in Rome so the air conditioning was very welcome.
Tom B. (10/5): Delightful hotel, good price in the Prati area - This was a very nice option for our stay in Rome. Cristiano provided excellent service at this boutique hotel. The room was very pleasant; and the Prati district is perfect. The location is convenient to lots of tourist attractions, either by foor or a short subway ride. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Verified traveler (8/5): A very nice B&B in a great location - The *only* drawback to this bed and breakfast is the size of the rooms. Ours was taken up almost entirely by the bed. The location was perfect for us, an active couple. A short walk across the river put us at Piazza Navona or the Spanish Steps. Every morning, we ran in Villa Borghese, which was just minutes away. Numerous buses pass in front of the bed and breakfast, so it was a snap to get down to the Forum and Colosseum, and to Trastevere. The Vatican is also just a short walk west. There's a great pub serving Guinness and Kilkenny a block away, as well as some small, friendly trattoria. Better restaurants can be found around the Ottaviano metro stop, also just a short away. The breakfasts were simple but good, and the host, Cristiano, was very friendly and helpful. All that said, I have to say that we think there are better places to stay nearby. Better, only because the rooms are much larger for the price, and thus represent better value.
Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent B & B - Domus Cavour is a great place to stay for a short break in Rome. It 's a small B & B based in a well appointed apartment in a good neighbourhood. It's comfortable and very clean and Cristiano, the owner, is extremely helpful. You feel like a guest in a private home. Only a 20 minute walk in to the centre and about 15 minutes away from the Vatican, so ideal. There are also good shops and restaurants around the corner. Highly recommended.
Stephen (8/5): Would defiately go back - Nice little b&b in a smart neighborhood. The owner, cristiano, is a lovely man. The rate includes breakfast of juice, coffee, cereal, yogurt and croissant/toast. It's a little out of the way, but if you like walking it's not a problem and there is a metro stop close by. The room was clean and comfortable with a huge walk in wardrobe. Only criticism was that there was no bathroom products like soap but overall a really nice place to stay, free wifi also.
Beth (10/5): Great B&B - This was located in a great area with a friendly, home style atmosphere. I would stay there again when visiting Rome.
Mary (10/5): Perfect Rome B&B - Rooms were extremely clean; fantastic modern bathrooms with good water pressure; wifi available in our rooms. (The rooms/ bathrooms were better than in the pictures.) Breakfast was excellent with homemade cappuccino, etc. The owner, Cris, was very friendly and went out of his way for us - even to the extent of mailing us our forgotten camera!! We will most assuredly stay there next time in Rome. (Also, the location is excellent - I was concerned about location before we got there - but I was quickly put at ease. It was very close to everything while at the same time outside of Tourist Central.)
