Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): Family apartment in Venice - Pretty apartment with a long balcony and great view.
- NICOLE (8/5): Superbe suite, spacieuse. - Superbe suite avec vue sur les toits de Venise, avec ascenseur, dommage que le 2ème couchage soit un canapé convertible. Un peu loin du centre mais très calme. Bon accueil. Petit déjeuner trop cher, nous ne l'avons pas pris.
- Alec (2/5): My stay - A lot of mosquitos.
- jae hee (8/5): Location is good - 베네치아는 숙소의 위치가 다른 도시에 비해 더 중요합니다. 위치가 매우 좋습니다
- Edo (10/5): - Bella e accogliente. Appartamento nuovo e ben arredato. Ottima posizione e vista stupenda!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room size was bigger than our expectation. They were clean and equipped with the basic necessities.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nesr bus stop and ailways station
Very clean and spacious room
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location is excellent. 10 min walk from the train or bus station. No need to take the water bus or water taxi. Quiet 15 min beautiful walk to SanMarco square. Ask for room #9 4th floor, only room with a balcony. There is an elevator.
- John (10/5): Mucho gusto Venice Ai Carmini - Wonderful room. Wonderful staff. Wonderful location.
It was a pleasure to stay there and I'd gladly stay again.
Sen va vattnet omöjligt o ställa in i duschen.
Antingen alldeles för varmt eller iskallt.
Annars ett bra boende o inget o klaga på.
- MG (8/5): - Twas great!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, spacious room and a great location. We would consider it again.
- Ann (10/5): Lovely place. - Great location for arrival by bus or train.
Very clean well equipped apartment.
View from balcony of canal. Hope to return.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place to stay in Venice. Only a short walk from the parking garage and very close to a large square with good food and a grocery store. Checking in was easy.
- Rebecca (10/5): - The place was amazing clean staff was very nice and helpful
- Victor (10/5): - Beautiful apartment, nice and clean.
Great location.
Great staff
- Chris (10/5): Great flat in quiet neighborhood! - Nice apartment in quieter location! All attractions are easily walkable and there was plenty of space and amenities in the unit!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - it was great - clean, spacious, everything we needed. We loved that it was in a quiet location and still close enough to everything
- Muhammad Amer (10/5): Amazing stay at Suite in Venice Ai Carmini - Very neat and clean suites. Location is great as well. Iran was very helpful.
If you have luggage dont try to walk to the place from the rail station as there are many bridges in between. We learned our lesson the hard way :)
On our way back we booked a porter. You can also take a water taxi.
- Colin (10/5): Beautiful suite - Superb conversion of typical Venetian property. Top floor suite very spacious, perfectly equipped and appointed. Great location, few minutes level walk to water bus stop and several very good restaurants
- couple (10/5): Spacious apartment in quiet area - A spacious and comfortable apartment in a quiet area of Venice, just 10 mins walk from bus/train stations.
The apartment was on a canal and so a special location. It was convenient for all the sights, but in a quieter area with less tourists.
Would definitely like to return.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice hotel. Cozy home feeling. Check in time ends early. It’s a little far from st marco sq.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good apartment in a good location - A good apartment in a nice location in Venice. A good sized double bedroom, kitchenette with laundry room and washing machine. Toilet was small but comfortable with a great shower. Continental breakfast provided each day, included in cost.
Location is in a quiet part of town with a gorgeous canal outside the main window.
Communication was excellent...they emailed me immediately after I booked to confirm arrival details and sent me comprehensive instructions on how to get there from the airport.
Very impressed. Thanks!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The apartment was clean and spacious. It had a fridge, washer, and dish washer. It’s very quiet and there is an air conditioning to keep you comfortable. The bed was fine for only 2 nights.
- Apurva (10/5): - Apartment is spacious and in a great location. Apartment is great shape and the air conditioning in each room was great to have given the hot July temperatures. Many eating options and restaurants close by. Staff was very helpful. Easy walk to St. Mark's Square, Train station, Piazzale Roma (where buses from airport drop you).
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful place in heart of Venice - This is a nice and peaceful location in heart of Venice. Close to everything .
- Verified traveler (10/5): It's great hotel and great location - It's beautiful, quiet and surrounded by great restaurants and nice outdoor symphony.
The owner is very great and his staff as well. The suite is beyond your own expectations, it's just amazing. However, in Venice there is a lot mosquitoes. They should include a mosquitoes repellent so when you open windows it does not get in. I woke up with mosquitoes bites.
- Christopher (10/5): Lovely place - Lovely place, great location and good communication throughout
- Kumar (8/5): Recommended stay - Cute boutique apartment close to piazzale Roma(the location for water taxis and boats). The manager was friendly and helpful with information about the local area. The apartment is a full fledged one with a kitchen, washing machine and dish washer. Would definitely love to stay again if I visit Venice ever again.
- Karen (8/5): lovely - lovely place to stay had all the electrical items you would need but a kettle would have been nice?
- lbj (10/5): Great location - Located in Dosoduro area of Venice. About a 10 minute walk to San Marco plaza.
We were in apt 9, 4th floor overlooking a canal. The apt was huge, nice kitchen, living area, big bedroom with king bed and bath. There was also a covered balcony overlooking the canal. I highly recommend a stay here.
- Ankit (10/5): Well maintained and well located.... - Great experience...had a wonderful time, probably went in at the best time of year with sun and cool breeze, all of it making a worthwhile going experience
- John (10/5): Out of the way, but close to everything. - Marco was a terrific, professional and attentive host. Ample sized rooms to fit 4 of us, kitchen had what we needed and we could walk everywhere. Recommended.
- Andres (8/5): Great spot at an affordable price - Great location, the owners were super flexible about our arrival. Would recommend to others
- Angus (10/5): Excellent location!! - Excellent location. 10 mins walk from the Venice Garage and walkable distance to other tourist area. It's located on a quiet ally with a canal view. It was cheaper compared to other hotels in Venice and the flat was big enough for 4 people.
- Brian (10/5): - An excellent apartment in a great location with a very friendly welcome. This was our second stay at this apartment hotel and I'm sure we will stay again in the future.
- Jill (10/5): Perfect place - Thank you to others who recommended this suite! I would choose it again in a heartbeat!
- AJ (10/5): Brilliantly located apartment! - The location was really good and highly recommend the property. It was extremely spacious. Very few negative points, was missing a kettle and enough pots to justify using the dishwasher. The balcony did not have any chairs to sit out on. Each of these points are extremely nitpicking. Would happily go again!
- Lydia (10/5): Stunning apartment. Beautifully furnished - An amazing find, beautifully modern apartment with canal views, off the main bustle of tourists walking past, but only 5 minutes walk from a vaperetto stop and supermarket. Close to a nice square with restaurants and bars. We basically walked around the whole of Venice from the apartment with ease.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, Marco emails straight back if you have any queries.
Cant recommend this highly enough. An amazing way to experience Venice.
- Gordon (10/5): Nice Hotel, Quiet Area - Great hotel overall, had a small suite, which was actually huge, more than sufficient for two people. All the amenities you can ask for.
- Mahati (6/5): for the price, you can do much better elsewhere - This is a decent hotel, but too expensive for what it offers. We checked in at 12.00pm and went into the room. the wifi was not working. we went back to talk to the lady who checked us in. She was already gone. There is no staff again till next morning 9. If you are hoping to get any directions/help from front desk, this is not the hotel for you. From 4pm to 9AM there is no staff there. Next we tried using the safe. Could not make it work. The next morning the manager tried and he could not make it work either. it has a washing machine, but they do not offer/sell detergent. There is a dish washer, but no dish washing liquid. There is a kitchen, but the hotel threatens to charge 30 Euro as cleaning fee, if they are not satisfied with your cleaning. There is a living room with a sofa, but since we are a party of 3, the sofa bed got converted to a bed, so there is no place to sit.
Venice is lot more challenging to navigate compared to Rome or Florence. You are better off staying in a hotel where there is front desk staff who can give you directions to restaurants etc.
- from NY (6/5): The hotel is clean, but not worth the price - the hotel has many amenities but they do not help you. The room has a clothes washer, but the hotel does not supply or sell detergent. The room has No drier. The room has a safe, but we could not make it work, nor could the manager. The room has a dish washer, but they do not provide (or sell) dish washer liquid. There is a dish washer liquid dispenser, which was empty. The biggest disadvantage is there is no front desk to speak off. There is a person from 9 to 4 only. Venice is a very difficult place to navigate. finding restaurants is difficult. Most tourist maps are not good. A front desk who could guide you would have been very helpful. But you do not have that support. Our apartment has a living room with a sofa, but since we are 3 people they turned the sofa into a bed, so no place to sit. The hotel and its owner are nice, but it is simply NOT WORTH the price we paid. I DONOT recommend this hotel to most people.
- Michael (10/5): - Excellent stay, but would advise that getting there with suitcases to go by waterbus to San Basilion and walk from there to avoid having to get the cases over at least 5 bridges.
- moxie (10/5): Nice suite - Kitchen is best! Milk is wonderful! Convenient location to everything: tourists spots, transportation hubs, restaurants and markets
- Amanda (2/5): Worst hotel we have ever experienced - This is the first time I've ever had to rate a hotel poorly in my entire life. We checked in around 10 am; the receptionist left as soon as she handed us the keys. Our first day we spent sightseeing and just came back to sleep. The next morning we woke freezing and the radiators were cold, couldn't be turned on. We went to reception at 9:30 to ask for help with the heat but there was no one there. No breakfast was delivered to the room (it's included in room price). At 10am a girl came to the room and asked if we needed anything. We said yes, we needed breakfast and housekeeping but she said she was leaving for the day and couldn't help. We asked for help with the heat and she said it would be on again shortly. After she left my husband went out to buy breakfast since we didn't receive any. We attempted to shower but there was no hot water--only ice cold. We went out for the morning and when we came back there was still no heat. There was no one at reception to help and no answer at the emergency phone numbers in the lobby. I wanted to check out and go to a hotel with heat and hot water but there was no hotel staff to check us out. We slept in winter coats, hats, mittens, and boots and still shivered the entire night. We didn't get any breakfast the next morning, or housekeeping. We checked out as soon as we found the owner and told him about our issues--he called us liars and said we must have refused breakfast and housekeeping. He denied the lack of heat/hot water.
- Dave (8/5): Excellent accommodation and location - The apartments were not the easiest to find so be clear on the location/directions before you go. We arrived 'out of hours' and following the simple instructions we got to our room without any problem.
The location is excellent close to a square with restaurants, bars and even a small supermarket. The restaurants were very reasonably priced. It is alongside a quiet canal off the main tourist areas but within easy access of them.
The apartment had everything you need and plenty of basic choice for the in room breakfast. Our top floor room had a balcony with a brilliant view of Venice.
We stayed the night before a cruise, next morning it was a shortish walk to the People Carrier/monorail to the cruise terminal.
All in all a great location in a wonderful city, we would certainly stay there again.
- chew la (8/5): Suite in Venice Ai Carmini - Big room and good for family. Close to Piazza Roma, so still can drag your bag to the hotel. Mattress was a bit soft and shower temperature was hard to control, otherwise a good place to stay.
- lfran (8/5): Lovely apartment in Venice. - Lovely stay in Venice. 10 minute walk from bus station. Quiet residential area. Easy to get into, despite arriving after 4 so no staff on site. Plenty left for breakfasts. Very clean and newly decorated. Ideal with children as there is a separate bedroom and sofa bed in the living room. They let us leave our bags on the last day as checkout was at 10.30 and flights not until evening. This was very helpful.
- Colin (10/5): 25th wedding anniversary celebration - What a wonderful, romantic place to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Perfect apartment, within easy walking distance of all the main attractions Lots of very good restaurants easily accessible close by. The town is very interesting and easy to get lost in all the narrow streets, but as it is all very compact its easy and fun finding your way again. Hope we don't have to wait another 25 years to go again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Spacious apartment in a quiet neighborhood - Our experience at this property was very good. The lobby as well as room 5 were clean. They appear to be newly renovated and some parts of the building were being redone during our stay. The apt was roomy. The location is in a residential area so it was probably quieter than other neighborhoods. Marco, the property manager, was very helpful in arranging for our early checkout, recommending restaurants and ordering a porter. The breakfast included wth the stay was simple but adequate.
- Nadia (10/5): Great hotel - The hotel was really nice, we had the largest room at the hotel which included a long narrow balcony that overlooked the canal. The hotel was a short distance away from the P.I. Roma and train station and isn't too far from San Marco. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. If you do wish for clean towels each day, I'd recommend asking them for clean towels since they re-folded our used towels when cleaning the room.
- Nella H. (10/5): Venice apartment - Excellent location, spacious rooms, modern decor, clean and inviting space, wonderful view of the canal, very close to ferry terminal and railway station, 14 min. Walk to s. Marco sq., even a grocery store nearby for fresh produce, cheese & wine! Would definitely stay there again and warmly recommend to anyone!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beds were uncomfortable...Quite a walk from the main square. If you use the kitchen, and don't leave it clean, it is additional 30 Euro charge. Overall nice hotel.
- Tanweer (6/5): Poor Service! - Hotel was in a decent location but since we arrived in the hotel around 4:30pm, everything was self service more or less, including checkin, since reception was closed at 4pm. There was no milk for the cereal or any bottled water. Either way, I am complaining mainly because there were Mosquitos in the room which bit all of my kids and my wife the whole night and my whole Italian vacation was ruined due to mosquito bites and related illness. I was in Italy for another 10 days after this. Never again!
- Brendan (8/5): Nice apartment. - The apartment was nice, clean and comfortable. The facilities were in good, clean working order. The area where the apartment is, has a lot of graffiti, which made us a little hesitant to stay out too late. We have 3 young children so are pretty safety conscious.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location, great accommodations, great price - Spent 2 nights. Location was great away from large crowds and 5min walk to a small square with plenty of restaurants. Close to the water bus stop to circle the city. Reception is open 9-4pm but is easliy accessible via email with fast response.
Room was a 1br apt with pullout sofa with a washing machine and line outside the window for drying. Kitchen was stocked with breakfast foods. Very comfortable for 4. Getting there from the train station by foot has you going over 5 bridges so if u have a lot of luggage, take the water bus or taxi.
Only complaint, thin walls and sound echoes through the halls. A family with 2 kids checked in to the room below us and the kids were screaming and slamming doors. Sounded like they were in the room with us.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good choice for families - Good location and accommodation
- Mary (10/5): Great place to stay to get a real taste of Venice - Beautiful apartment that looks exactly like the pictures! My family of 4 was very comfortable and had plenty of room in the apartment. It has a lovely view of the canal and buildings from the large balcony. Close to a square with restaurants and within about 10 minutes to Vaparetto. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Venice!
- Sophie (10/5): 1st time in Venice - The apartment is the top floor of a 5floor building. Charming view over one of the local canals and quiet streets. We felt very safe there and it is a 5 minutes walk to a couple of areas with restaurants, cafe, bars, etc. The apartment is comfortable and decorated in a modern decor. The continental breakfast was a nice touch and gives us a great start before heading out to see Venice!!!. 10 minute walk to trains, water/boat rides to islands, or bus.
We had to check in late but Marco left great instructions on what we needed to get into the apartment. Thanks Marco.
Definitely recommend the suite.
- Ang (6/5): Flooded in the morning - The place even though was near to the central station, it is not easy to find without someone showing you the way.
We end up having to pay a porter 20 euro to show us the way there.
The heating was not enough to heat up the apartment
The ground floor was flooded with 30cm of water starting from 8 am to 10 am and we had to get our shoes, sock and pants wet in order to get out of the apartment.
Had to buy water proof shoes in order to get around in Venice as the whole place was flooded.
- ying (10/5): Excellent stay in a quiet neighborhood in Venice - 15 minutes walk from the train station. Maybe 6 bridges to cross. It's facing a little branch of the canal in a very nice quite surrounding. There is a church so close the bell rings from 7am-10pm, I think. The room is modern and very clean. The front desk is very nice and helpful. Only complaint is the heat, maybe it's central controlled and only on during a certain period of time.
Great eating place nearby which is cheaper than the ones near main tourist attraction.
- Alan and William (10/5): watching the boats go by - Lovely situation, handy for food shopping and restaurants in Campo Santa Margarita.
The furnishings are modern and pleasant, and the only thing II would change would be make the lighting in the apartment less harsh.
- Pamela (8/5): Great location - Ideal location for visiting Venice. The apartment is a little plain and spare, but it had everything we needed. We did have trouble with mosquitos in October because we could't quite figure the air conditioning. But Marco was able to solve all our problems. The square near the rooms is very family oriented. Lots of kids running and playing after school so it doesn't feel touristy.
- Angelica (10/5): Pefecti location. - Everything was great, location, braekfast,...
- Rosely (10/5): Great place to stay! - Loved it, would definitely stay again! Friendly staff, great location, awesome apartment. :)
- gigi (10/5): Awesome - It is newly redone. Very modern & clean. Breakfast is left on tray in kitchen the night before. If you use kitchen there is a 30 euro daily additional charge. No staff available after 4 pm but there is a phone number you can call if there is an emergency. We loved our stay.
- Debby (10/5): Can't wait to return - What a wonderful stay while in Venice. The pictures do not do justice to the rooms. With a map the suites was not difficult to find. Once we arrived we were quickly met with excellent service and were surprised with how large our room was. Lots of space and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was in abundance and delicious. The location was in easy walking distance to all Venice has to offer. There are many restaurants nearby as well as a supermarket. Very useful as the kitchen in the suite had everything we needed. The staff was more than willing to help and very attentive. Mille Gracie!
- Barb AP (8/5): Great Place to get lost - Venice is a beautiful city. Everywhere you turn there is something beautiful to look at. The hotel was very nice. Perfect for a family of three or four. Separate room for mom and dad. We even had a wash machine. Breakfast could have used a couple of fresh pastries. We left our windows opened at night and the misquitos got the best of us.
- Barry Hoveyt (10/5): Outstanding hotel - Price was very reasonable for what was, in effect, an apartment with a living room, dining area, kitchen area, and bedroom. There was even a clothes washer. Breakfast supplies were quite adequate. The room was very comfortable. While there is an area of shops and restaurants nearby, the biggest convenience of the location is a nearby vaporetto (water bus) stop. This allows getting anywhere in Venice.
- Robert King (10/5): - The Ai Carmini exceeded my expectations in every way; it was a beautiful, clean, modern, spacious, one bedroom apartment with a balcony overlooking the canal, you could not ask for more, and at a very reasonable rate.
