Guest Reviews
- Reginald (10/5): Clean and quiet accommodation, close to station - I had a great stay at Casa Corsi, the owner Roberta Corsi welcomed me upon my arrival and she took her time to explain allnyo me and show my room. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and most important of all, the room was quiet and I had a good sleep. Ideal for anyone who has not much time, but still wants to see the city. Casa Corsi is only a couple of minutes walk from the train station and walking distance to the main sightseeing atrractions of the city. So within 1 day I have seen everything what I came for.
- Pingaling (8/5): - Super great location as it is about a 5 min walk from the train station. Roberta, the guest house owner is super friendly. While my bed was not the most comfortable, the place is tidy and clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Feels like home in Florence - Roberta the owner was a very nice host and has done a very good job at making me feel like home. The room and the house in general was very clean and homey, and it has everything that I ever needed, and I also love the classic Tuscan style of the house, very simple yet very cozy. The location is also perfect, just few minutes walking distance from SM Novella station and pretty much walking distance to lots of attractions. I would definitely come back here if I visit Florence again
- Laura (10/5): - Todo perfecto.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not what is pictured or what I expected. It’s a rooming house. Bland dark and without significant character. However it was a clean place to sleep. I had to leave by 7 to catch a plane so cannot speak to the ‘ breakfast ‘ part. I saw no one in the morning.
- Sean (10/5): Great location - Great location. Close to Santa Maria Novella train station. Welcoming host Roberta. I didn't need to take taxis or public transportation.
- Thomas (8/5): Bra läge, något sämre boende. - Nära till allt framför allt tågstationen.
Tyvärr väldigt lyhört.
- raymond (8/5): convenient - watch for mosquito
- kathryn (8/5): Great location, friendly staff, loved Firenze! - It was very close to the train station but quiet too, and the back garden was wonderful. Roberta and staff were very welcoming, gave me a map of Florence and pointed out how to get to tourist spots and favorite local restaurants and groceries. The room was a bit small, but the kitchen was welcoming and I had good conversations with a few people over meals we prepared ourselves.
Definitivamente regresaré a Casa Corsi.
- David (10/5): - Great little place hidden within the walls of a Florence street neighborhood. We were thrilled once we arrived and were greeted kindly and warmly. Incredible little place to stay that is very downtown Florence living...3 minute walk to the train station and easy to walk to main attractions.
- Karoline (10/5): Charming and authentic in the heart of Florence - If you want to go to Florence and want to live close to everything, have an authentic Tuscany-experience, and also be comfortable this is the place to go. In the center of Florence you find this little oasis where you can recharge in very comfortable bedrooms that keep you safe from the city sounds. Everything is clean, there is air condition and wifi. In the pretty little garden you can feel like a princess having an espresso or something to eat. I will come back to Casa Corsi whenever I travel to Florence!
- Larry (8/5): - Super nice people run the place. They go out of their way for the guests. There were a couple inconsiderate guests there when I stayed, but not the management's fault. Convenient location and not much street noise.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A gifted place in the city center. - Casa Corsi is very well located, close to the city center and bus and train station. The place is run by a very nice lady that helped a lot giving precious informations. The street is pretty noisy, but inside the ambiance is quiet and pretty confortable.
- Josephine (8/5): Excellent location B & B - Casa Corsi is within walking distance to the train station and all major sightseeing spots. We found an all you can eat Japanese restaurant nearby. Groceries shop is also nearby. We could only use the microwave oven, water kettle, and fridge in the common area. The stove and washer were out of order. WIFI is weak at the room.
The shared bathroom room did not have any staircase to access. It was helpful when we had heavy luggage.
The owner was very friendly and helpful.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Accesible y confortable - Accesible y confortable
Centralissimo e personale eccellente!
- Keri (8/5): - On check in the lady was extremely helpful and gave me a map and helped me route locations and told me best places to visit and eat. Also on check out she showed me the best route to the train station. My room was clean and spacious as was the shared bathroom. Would definitely stay again
B&b -atmosfære, men uden breakfast.
Kvarteret beskedent, men fredeligt.
Savnede skrivepult. God skabs- og skuffeplads. Rengøring fin.
Værelset stort og luftigt, beskedent men smagfuldt indrettet.
- Sumanta (8/5): Good place to stay - Very close to the main train station, it is a great place to stay. Everything was really clean, the room sizes were big and there was plenty of space to keep the luggage. The house has a beautiful back garden as well, not to mention a kitchen and dining area that can be used. In short, a very nice and convenient place to stay.
- Krzysztof (8/5): - Really nice place, located close to the city centre within walking distance. SMN train station just a minute from the Casa Corsi. And the lady that runs the place is really friendly!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Walking distance to Santa Maria Novella and the Duomo. Close to train station and restaurants and inexpensive local shops. Woman in charge is very friendly. Very clean. Would defiantly RECOMMEND!
- Verified traveler (6/5):
- Verified traveler (6/5): You get what you pay for - Friendly guest house and cheapest place I could find in Florence.
However, marked down as a) they didn't change my sheets/towells in 5 days and b) a mosquito window net that didn't close fully over the window (therefore useless).
- Verified traveler (6/5): Brilliant location when travelling on budget - This is a very welcoming place, lovely garden and fantastic lovely hosts Anna and Francesco. The facilities are quite old but very functional.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Young woman traveling alone. - Walking distance to all the sights, and close to the river. You won't ever need a taxi.
The owners are always happy to tell you about nice places to go, or tell you a little about history.
- peng wai (10/5): Strategic location with cheap pricing - close to train station and bus station
- Claire (10/5): Very nice - Very nice little bungalow!
- Joan (2/5): Very disapponting place. - The main thing to say is that this is not a hotel !! It should not be on your website as if it was. It is more like a youth hostel - our room was OK but we were expecting B & B and instead we could use a communal kitchen, and there was no bar/lounge as in your website. So our trip was really disappointing. I explained to the lady who runs the place that she should contact you and take her establishment off your website because it is not a hotel, or even a proper Guest House.
- Karen & Woody (8/5): close to the Santa Maria Novella Train Station - We were made to feel very welcome and did take advantage of Roberta's washing machine and kitchen area. we felt like it was safe and clean which were the two things we were looking for. we would use this location again if staying directly in Florence.
- Egon (4/5): Good location, not very clean. - Unfortunately my experience with this hotel was not good. I was surprised because it had good reviews, however I cannot give them a good feedback. The hotel location is good, very near the main train station. The owner was very kind however the room was not ready when we arrived, she was not present and left a person that only spoke French. It was hard to understand but this person explained us that the owner was delayed and the room was not ready yet. We left the hotel and returned back 2 hours later, the room was "ready", but the bathroom was not clean at all, bad odor. Another negative comment is that in the hotel specification said that the room had air conditioner, which is not true.
- Ronni (10/5): Like having your own house with a doting mother - Roberta is a sweetheart! She is extremely helpful and welcoming. We had the room next to the kitchen and communal bath with our own bathroom. The room and bath were huge. Lots of storage space. Well equipped communal kitchen area with large fridge, large table and even a washing machine which was so wonderful. I loved the garden area. There is even a new gazebo table area which is not in the pics. The first time we used it we had to come inside because of the mosquitoes, but the second nite Roberta was there and when she found out we wanted to sit in the garden again, she went out and sprayed something and the moquitoes didn't bother us all nite. It was like being at home with a doting mother! Plus the rates are so reasonable (but only cash). Highly recommend!!
- Loretta (8/5): Lovely and affordable place near train station - My room was perfect for my purposes and was clean. A communal kitchen was open for using and there was a lovely garden. You do have to use a communal bathroom, but it was clean and I had no problems. The SMN is only two blocks away and you can easily walk to other attractions in Florence. you should email the woman who runs it to let her know your estimasted time of arrival.
- Ellen (2/5): DO NOT STAY - I was very disappointed with this stay. I have never written a review on a place that I've stayed, but this one was so disappointing, I had to write a review. I purchased a double room with a kitchen. What I received was a room barely big enough to walk around a single bed with no kitchen, no air conditioning, major paint chipping off the walls and it reeked of mildew. In the description, my 'double room' did not state that it was a shared bathroom. The bathroom was so dirty that I did not want to take a shower. I left this morning with either 28 mosquito bites on my legs or bed bugs. Lastly, the owner only accepts payments in cash as she does not own a credit card machine even though I booked my stay through hotels.com. Thankfully I had enough cash to pay for my stay or I don't know what I would have done. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. Very close to the train station....however don't let that tempt you. I am currently writing this review from a different hotel in Florence and it is much, much better for the same price. I definitely do not recommend this 'hotel' to anyone.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good for a couple of nights - Good location - near to the station and easy to walk into florence and the main sights. Roberta is lovely and the room was clean. Even though it was a shared bathroom it was kept clean.
- Steve (10/5): Amazing B&B - Casa Corsi was an amazing choice. The experience started with our initial emails from Roberta. She sent us a map from the main train station to her B&B (right around the corner). It was very easy to find and she checked us right in. It was 1pm when we got there but that did not matter. She told us a great place to grab some food right around the corner and she prepared the room while we were gone. When we came back, she called the Uffizi and the Academia to make reservations for us. We had such and excellent stay that we asked for an extra day and when she said she was all booked she found another excellent place for use to stay and personally introduced us. Our stay was amazing. Side note: the bed was a little hard and the wifi is a little weak unless in the kitchen. There is also no AC. Those small amenities are nothing compared to the great experience.
- Vicky (10/5): Lovely hotel - Great location, nice size rooms and lovely woman who runs the hotel. Service was fantastic and we had a very authentic experience.
- Debby (10/5): - Close to SMN and within walking distance of most of Florence. I was close enough to everything so that if the weather changed, I was able to return to grab a jacket or umbrella. Roberta is a wonderful hostess and made sure my stay was comfortable. She upgraded me to a larger room that became available, and served coffee and biscuits in the morning. Some rooms have a shared bathroom, but it was not a problem, and my neighbors were all very quiet on entry and exiting the property, so there were no noise issues. Enjoyed having meeting other guests in the kitchen or garden for coffee and using the internet. A very pleasant stay!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to train station - Bathroom could have been cleaner. Garden level so air gets cold and dry at night if they don't have the heat on.
- Leping Zha (10/5): Roberta the great host - We forgot our iPad in the room draw, and called Roberta the host 70 minutes before our train to Milan departs. Roberta was far out dining with her friends, but rushed back to open the door for us just in time, and the clost location (80 meters from the Florence train station) also helped us to still catch the train. We got welcome email right before our arrival, and after we told her the time Roberta was waiting at the door. Nothing but grateful to her.
- Peter (10/5): Roberta made the stay wonderful! - Roberta is such a sweet lady! She made sure to ask what time we were arriving and was there when we arrived. She even made us a cup of cappuccino and we also got to meet the guests living in the neighboring rooms since there are only about 5 rooms in this place. Although it's not a hostel, you might be able to make friends with your neighbors like we did! It's a shared bathroom and hallway so you'll occasionally bump into each other. Thanks again for the wonderful hospitality, Roberta!
- Sophie (8/5): Good value! - This was my second trip to Florence and after an eventful stay at a bargain hostel first time around I decided to pay a little more this time. Hotel was lovely and very peaceful. Our room was in the garden in a separate building to the rear of the property so very peaceful despite being in the centre of the city. Roberta, the owner, was very helpful and polite and even gave a tutorial on how to use the coffee machine in the kitchen!
Would definitely visit again and recommend highly to others. I miss it already!
- Garreth (10/5): Little hidden gem - This is a little gem just a stones throw away from the main station. Literally across the road, round a corner and down a side street. So peaceful too nice little garden area to have breakfast or sit in evening. There is a full kitchen area that you have use of with fridge freezer hob oven and kettle. Also a washing machine too if you have any laundry.
Roberta the owner is a star she never seems to leave always helpful friendly bringing cups of coffee or juice. I stayed here for 5 nights for business purposes but really is perfect for anybody.
- Lynchs (10/5): Casa Corsi Perfect Stay - Everything about this hotel was OUTSTANDING! It was minutes from the station but vey quiet. We had the Garden room out the back which was very quiet and clean with a beautiful view of the lovely little garden. Roberta and her family were extremely welcoming and could not do enough to help.
- Rascal (4/5): Misleading and beware - The hotel is more of a boarding house.
The photographs of the rooms are misleading as they are obviously 10 years old.
The walls are very thin, worse than most hotels.
The cleaner had left 6 inch long black hairs everywhere.
Do not expect a spotless accommodation.
The free car park is very misleading - basically you have to park on a side street one mile away. Its free but not what you would think. The hotel does not have any parking.
The hotel is inside the car free area - so you will get fined if you take your car to the hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Hidden gem in Florence - Casa Corsi is more a private house than a hotel. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. We were able to make a cup of tea and use the washing machine, both unusual in a European hotel, and sitting in the garden was very pleasant. The room was charming and comfortable. We had to share the bathroom, which meant some waiting. The best feature is its location, just five minutes walk from the central railway station and the starting point for city tours. I would recommend the restaurant Trattoria Contadino, just around the corner.
- Lloyd & Michelle (8/5): A lovely find with nice bonus - This was a lovely little set of rooms that Rosetta manages in her quiet way. The room was very pleasant and quiet, and the shared bathroom seemed no problem. As a bonus we were able to use both the kitchen (for tea, breakfast etc) and the washing machine which was just what we needed. Had to pay cash but for where it was and the wonderful hospitality that was minor.
- Verified traveler (4/5): 1 room in shared aparment - not what we expected - Casa Corsi is somewhat like an apartment with about 5 rooms.
Some rooms are rented out for short stays, while the others seem to belong to permanent tennants.
The shared washroom had toothbrushed and toiletries of the people who lived there.
and the shared kitchen was also stocked with personal items.
It was a little awkward.
however, the room itself that we stayed in was clean.
- Ali (10/5): A hidden gem in a busy but beautiful city - This place is wonderful. Roberta an excellent hostess and made us feel right at home. Excellent location 5 minutes from the train station and 10 from the Duomo etc. Our lovely en suite room at the bottom of the garden was clean, quiet and a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Highly recommended.
- Stella (8/5): Will go back only if I can get the same room. - The garden room is the best room in this B&B, with its own bathroom and away from all others, therefore it's very quiet.
