• Joe (8/5): Italian 4 week holiday - Host was very good to deal with and made you feel welcome. Location was good and within walking distance of train station. Restaurants around hotel were very good. Carrying heavy luggage upstairs.

During our two-day stay, I didn’t see any other guests or any front desk staff, which made the experience feel very private. The check-in process was efficient—you’re responsible for managing your own arrival and carrying all the keys, including ones for the gate, hotel entrance, and your room(and lockbox). One thing to note: there’s no lights in the hallways, so if you return at night, be sure to have your phone’s flashlight handy. Overall, if you’re looking for a simple, quiet, and clean place to stay—and you’re comfortable being self-sufficient—this spot is a great fit. There were a few moments I needed assistance and it wasn’t possible to receive aid. However, I think other people may enjoy the experience of being completely self sufficient more.

Breakfast was great and room was cozy. There is no reception so you really need to get on the selected check in time. Bathroom is a bit small but this is standard for Venice, so not a big problem.

Excellent location too, and our late self check in was very smooth and easy. Our last minute request for twin beds was also accommodated. Thank you! More varied fruit options at breakfast would have been welcome.

Friendly staff. It was hard to figure out how to enter the building to check in when we arrived. Just when we were wondering whether the place was even open, luckily some other guests arrived, let us in, and helped us find the staff.

• Tomar (8/5): Amazing breakfast and really good staff. - We loved the included breakfast during our stay and how welcoming the staff were. The breakfast had so many things to choose from and the property was pretty central to everything we did. This isn’t something that the property could change because of Italy’s rules on air conditioning. However, when we stayed it was quite hot because we couldn’t turn on the air conditioning. I would suggest having a fan in the room as the room gets quite hot.

Best of all, the staff were warm and attentive, making the entire stay enjoyable. They held our backpacks for us free of charge.

Breakfast considering the size of the accommodation was excellent, toasted croissant, scrambled eggs, cheese, ham and everything else you could wish for. Friendly staff. Every morning they asked if we were missing anything. The beds were a bit soft for our taste, but that's individual.

• Iana (8/5): Charming little place in Venice - Close to the main attractions of Venice, but in a more quiet area. Very welcoming hosts, clean, comfortable. It was difficult to warm it up and to keep it warm (to 18-19 degrees Celsius) even though the outside temperature was positive. The AC is the only way to warm the room. Bathroom is very cold because the air conditioner doesn’t reach it.

Comfy, roomy, well equipped, quiet, clean, great hot water. Some fantastic local restaurants nearby too. The hairdryer. It’s a strange wall unit and not very powerful.
• Amy (8/5): Very good - Lovely breakfast , really enjoyed the warm bakery good we received both mornings. The lighting in the room was very bright or pitch black, not really an in between of having it a bit dim.
• Elizabeth (10/5): A perfect retreat tucked away from the hustle & bustle! - We arrived in the evening whilst the hotel was unmanned, our arrival instructions to access our room were sent to us before our arrival and were very clear and concise. We had a great room up in the attic space. Breakfasts were a treat with warm pastries offered to us as we sat down and the buffet being continuously refreshed. Our brother and sister hosts were very friendly and most helpful. The location was very good with many good restaurants within a few minutes walk. We arrived early evening as it was getting dark and spent a good 30 minutes going round in circles trying to find the hotel, a local shop keeper explained the building number for us to be looking out for and pointed us in a general direction. It was only after following the numbers did we finally stumble across the hotel which we had passed by 3 times already. There is no hotel name but a small Trip Advisor Rating sticker on the door. Once we had found the hotel we did not have problems finding it again. Google maps led us to the correct area but we were unable to pinpoint the hotel.
• Mugurel (8/5): Very good - The apartment is located in an area with enough terraces, restaurants or markets and has all the necessary facilities. It is a noisy area, you can hear all the noises from outside. At night it was a bit cold in the room, the central heating stopped quite often, day and night.
• Jacqui (8/5): Great central location, lovely staff, fantastic cappuccino!! - The property is pretty central and within comfortable walking distance from most attractions and also close to some nice restaurants. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and breakfast was a great added touch - cappuccino was perfect! It was clean and functional, but it is a little dated. Not an issue for us, but the location (top floor of a building) could be a problem for someone with limited mobility.
• Karen (8/5): Short stay - The location, owners were friendly and welcoming. Room was a little cold, did put on the heat but didn't really make any difference. I would also suggest they put some water in the fridge for guests arriving after climbing all the stairs a drink is needed.

It is no elevator that is defficate for old people for carry the luggage to the room. However when we check out the friendly staff kindly help us carry the luggage to downstairs If for old people, the staff can help carry the luggage to upstairs and downstairs, the old people may pay letter fees for it that may more good.

• Anganie (10/5): Adorable - Our room was decorated bohemian, the bed was super cosy. The location was absolutely great, we could walk to everywhere in less than 15 mins. In expensive Venezia, this place seemed to be a perk. The staff was kind and absolutely helpful, they ensured we had everything we needed for breakfast and all toiletteries needed in our room. Maybe the size of the bed was too much for the size of the room and did not give much room to walk around for two female backpackers like us. But nothing else, the bed was still cosy to sleep.
• Viola (7/5): Good - The host was super friendly and gave us a quick intro to how the place works, and we even got a complimentary late check-out. Location was great, airco was glorious. Away from the busy tourist areas it was nice and quiet at night as well. The kitchen wasn't fully equipped in terms of things like a chefs knife or cutting board. It was just regular cutlery, a pot, a pan, and plates. This didn't make the kitchen fully functional for us, but there was a normal stove, oven, and microwave so those are options too.

The host carefully explained to us how to do self check as we advised them we are arriving late. When we arrived the had a cute decoration in the bed as it was our honeymoon. The room is vintage but very nice, comfortable and clean. We were welcomed with a mini delicious breakfast in the morning. Honestly the guy who served us was just wonderful and very helpful. We loved our stay. Grazie mille. We liked everything.

Breakfast included in the price was delicious with a variety of things to choose from. The facilities were getting a little tired, small size room and not very comfortable bed. Okay if you don't have big luggage to walk around the room.

Very close to the main touristic spots but quiet and not crowded. Well serviced area, with restaurants, shops and markets nearby. We had a budget room. It was a little small but still fine if you don't have too much luggage.

Breakfast was good and the staff was very nice and helpful. It is an old building with stairs, which is not very pleasant when we have luggage. The room and bathroom were not large. • Heidi (8/5): Cozy, convenient inn in the heart of Venice - The location was very convenient to the main shopping area of Rialto as well as St. Mark's square. Right around us there were many options for food, coffee, drinks, and gelato. The central AC in the room was a blessing as well. The staff was a bit hard to communicate with. They were only present in the inn while we were checking in, and did not respond to all of my messages on the Booking.com app when we needed assistance during their absence.

• Itziar22 (9/5): Definitely, if I had to return, I would choose this hotel again! Thanks to the staff attention! - I specially loved the breakfast, as they tried to take care of every single detail. The location, it was hard to find it. Also the beds, they weren't comfortable enough and neither the pillows (they were so thin), although they facilitated me another pillow the next day I asked for it.

• Nirarda (8/5): Very attentive and friendly staff. - A quaint and quirky hotel, with minimal interaction with the hotel staff. But they were very attentive if we did need anything, and were very friendly. The rooms are very bare minimal, with no fridge or kettle facilities. But my daughter fell ill during our stay and they gave us with a kettle and some mugs. The breakfast was also minimal, but provided everything we needed to begin our day. The rooms and bathrooms are very outdated, the bathroom especially had broken doors on the showers, but it was still usable and clean. It was a high climb to the hotel, but I can believe that is probably quite common in hotels in Venice.

A quiet and comfortable place. Christiano , the host, is your man ! Very polite and happy to help with everything.
