Guest Reviews
- Gerda Anna (10/5): -
- Dijkslag (9/5): Geweldig!
- Anna (10/5): - Beautifully situated and spacious apartment. Rossana is a lovely, generous host who made our time in Rome even more memorable!
- Martina (10/5): - Super freundliche Vermieterin
- Tom (10/5): Excellent apartment for a long weekend visting Rome - The location was perfect, just around the corner from the Vatican with a brilliant view of the dome of St-Peters. Rossana is a magnificent host with lots of knowledge about where to go and what to do in Rome. Breakfast downstairs at Mancini was a great way to start the day.
- Kocsis (10/5): Szuper szállás - Rosanna a házigazda egy tünemény! A hölgy mindenben segít, bármikor kerestük azonnal reagált. Rengeteg ajándékot kaptunk, a szálláson minden megtalálható amit ingyenesen lehet elfogyasztani, használni Kávétól elkezdve, tea, különböző péksütemények Plusz reggeli kupon a szállás alatti kávézóban, isteni croassonnal. A lakás egy tipikus olasz mintájú, 3 szoba, 2 fürdő.( két szobához egy fürdő, a harmadikhoz saját). A helyszin fantasztikus, Központi, nyugodt biztonságos. Sok sok római utam egyik legjobb szállása volt. 😊
- Mildred (10/5): I highly recommend Apartment Vatican Vista. We had a wonderful first time in Rome. - I love the location where the Apartment was. Especially very close to the Vatican just walking distance. I also love the large windows where there is a beautiful view of the Vatican and streets. Easy access into the bldg and either walking up stairs or taking elevator. At night it was rather quiet. Also liked that it included an Italian breakfast a croissant and coffee. The kitchen was also stocked with food/drinks. The apartment was clean and neat and spacious for us which was a family of 5. Overall, I recommend staying here and the hostess Rossana was very gracious, kind and very hospitable. During the day you can hear the Ambulance sirens go frequently. But it didnt really bother me since during the day we were out sightseeing.
- Cynthia (10/5): If you’re fortunate to stay here take it! So close to Vatican City - we will miss waking up to St Peter Bascilica Dome - Everything - Authentically Rome, love Rossana (she is gold with a wealth of knowledge to save you on $) We love Rossana THANK YOU) Nothing - we loved our stay and we will be back
- Catherine (10/5): Home from home but with lots of sun - Location was great with a view of the Vatican. Beds comfy, apartment clean and fridge and cupboards stocked well with groceries. Breakfast great and the host was lovely, we felt like her family. Would definitely stay again. Nothing

- Jayne (10/5): A perfect place to stay and soak up beautiful Rome. - Amazing location with stunning views. A perfect base to explore everything Rome has to offer. The apartment is spacious and was ideal for our family of 5. It is traditionally decorated so we truly felt we were experiencing a stay in an Italian home. The apartment also contained everything we could possibly need. The host, Rossana, is very welcoming, knowledgeable, and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast included was delicious too! We will definitely return. Nothing. We were very happy here!
- Helle Kronborg (8/5): -
- Jacqueline (9/5): -
- Rhea (10/5): Rosanna was an excellent host and very informative, she made us feel very at home and our stay was lovely. Highly recomm - Central, homely, so well equipped. Nothing!
- Nikki (10/5): Absolutely lovely! Would def recommend - Our host was amazing!! Very informative and gave us excellent suggestions. The accommodations were beautiful and she really did her upmost to take care of us. And I loved that each room had an ac unit Nothing, it was great
- Lee (10/5): Great great location if visiting the vatican but also on a bus route that will take u directly down to the coloseum - We loved Rosanna and Molly lab her dog. She was so generous with her time welcoming us and giving some great local advice.
- Silvana (9/5): I would definitely recommend! The host was wonderful and walking distance to the Vatican! -
- Arief (7/5): The place is very center to the Vatican n also reasonable. The host was very helpful and informative - Breakfast is good and convenience but need more choices if we stay more than two nights.
- Martha (10/5): -
- James (10/5): This place is exceptional! Rosanna is an amazing host and wonderful person. She was so helpful and always a text away. M - Cleanliness, space, location, and amazing assistance. Thank you Rosanna!
- Michael (10/5): wonderful! - Rosanna explaining how to live in Rome: a real inspiration!
- Betty (9/5): Great location and apartment feels like home. - The apartment, housed in a historical apartment building with an ancient elevator that can only house 2 persons, was nonetheless very comfortable and roomy, with modern facilities. Because it is a historical building, it has very solid doors, very high ceiling and soundproof rooms. It felt like home. The location is great, just one block or so from the Vatican, and 10 min. walk to the nearest underground station. As for the facilities, the kettle was the old-fashioned stove-top kind and the kitchen table was more suitable for 2 people. We ended up having meals in the dining room/bedroom. Breakfast consists of coupons for coffee/tea and a crossant in the cafe downstairs. It was excellent, except sometimes the waitress might not be friendly, and there was a time limit of 12 noon. Rossana, the landlady is a treasure. She made you feel like her friend immediately and imparted lots of information regarding what to see, where to eat etc. One of the two frontdoor keys did not work, and the replacement of the lock turned out to be a big issue for the entire apartment complex. Occasionally we had to call our landlady Rossanna, who lives in the same apartment complex to buzz us in.
- Teresa (10/5): This location is ideal, just a short walk to St. Peter’s Basilica, with plenty of restaurant near by - We stayed at this apartment on two separate occasions, and both visits were excellent. Thank you to the owner for your warm hospitality and excellent service. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome.
- Teresa (10/5): The location is ideal, just a short walk to St. Peter’s Basilica, with plenty of shops nearby - We stayed at this apartment on two separate occasions, and both visits were excellent. Thank you to the owner for your warm hospitality and excellent service. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome.
- Evan (9/5): Lovely city break by the Vatican. - Excellent location, large rooms, the Roman “grandmother” experience 😀. Nothing to do with the property, just the attitude of the staff at Mancini (the cafe where part of the breakfast is arranged) left a lot to be desired, nothing like the Roman hospitality we got from Rosanne.
- Maria (10/5): Amazing! we liked everything! - We felt very comfortable in the house, as if it were our own home. The apartment is very child-friendly. Although we had 2 children, we did not worry that we would damage anything. Rossana is amazing, you feel like she is your friend from the first moment. She was very informative with very good information. She was very generous with everything, many alternatives for breakfast in the apartment. Also in the 2 bathrooms there was everything you need in abundance. The cafe downstairs is very convenient with good quality products. Also, the location is very convenient, you can easily go to the city center either by bus or the metro station which is very close. Very nice restaurants in the area.
- Michael (10/5): Must Stay - From the start, Roxy was always available with making this trip as easy and effortless as possible. Place is huge and comfortably catered to our party of 6. Location can't be beat and Roxy has every tourist route possible for your stay. The lift was helpful because 5 flights of stairs can be daunting after a full day of walking. Tons of places to eat around the area as well as shops and groceries. Kitchen is stocked and the complimentary coffee and croissant from Mancini is a huge bonus. I couldn't figure out the front door with the key but it was clearly user error since everyone else could do it
- Jim (10/5): We had a great trip to Rome. Rosanne’s apartment was central to out plans. It is in a beautiful historic building. It is - Great location for sight seeing in Rome Nothing
- Angela (8/5): Like staying at your Italian Grandmas. We loved it. - Rosanna was a great host. She met us at the property to greet us and give us the keys. She gave us a tour of the property and was exceptionally helpful.
- Felicity (10/5): An amazing stay and one we will always remember! - We loved everything. Rosanna was a wonderful host and a wealth of knowledge, which helped us have the best experience in Rome.
- Vincent (10/5): Prime location and more... - Location and lots of room. Great landlady too.
- Francisco (10/5): Exceptional - Roxy is an amazing host, you fold like in home. The location is perfect. I will back any time I be back in Rome. The pressure of the whater in the shower was low but noting critical.
- Christopher (8/5): Very good - We were four people staying in the Vatican Vista apartment for five days and we enjoyed it. It is not a standard Airbnb-aesthetic, Ikea-filled, minimalist rental. It is much more a lived-in home. We enjoyed the space, the location, and Rossana is a warm host with a wealth of information to share about Rome! The vouchers for coffee and cornetto at the cafe downstairs were a great component of our stay, even if we didn't use them every day. Hot water didn't seem to work at one shower, so we all took turns in the other shower where the hot water and the water pressure were better. Many of the dishes were not particularly clean, which is technically up to previous guests to clean. Towels smelled a bit musty.
- Gary (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again. - The best location right by the Vatican. Great breakfast arrangement with cafe downstairs. Amazing friendly host.
- Luthful (10/5): Fantastic host - Great location
- Isabel (10/5): Our stay felt like a home away from home!! - Roseanne, the owner of the B&B, made us feel incredibly comfortable and welcoming from the moment we arrived. My husband wasn’t feeling well and she brought him into the B&B before we checked in so he could use the bathroom and lie down.
- Grant (8/5): Did what we wanted, but there are better options for the price we paid. - A voucher is provided for the cafe downstairs called Mancini, which will cover a pastry & coffee, which was an excellent little place. Breakfast provisions, cereal, milk, juice were also provided in the apartment kitchen. The property is an old building - around 200 years old, with apartment located on the 4th floor (there is a small lift). Literally a stones throw from the Vatican, so if that is your main reason to visit then it is ideal. If you plan to spend more time in central Rome you can get there on a bus outside which is very good value. A taxi from the city centre (Colosseum) to the apartment will cost around EUR25. We stayed during a heatwave (41C), which made it a challenge to keep cool in the apartment at times - an aircon unit in one of the bedrooms wasn't great, but ceiling fan and extra fan provided some respite. The owner is a lovely older lady, who gives lot's of useful information about Rome. I would compare staying here to staying at your grandmas' house - this is not a criticism, just an observation that the style and decore of the apartment won't be for everyone. The hot water for showering (we found) was a bit of hot/cold switcharoo but it was manageable.
- John (9/5): Great place to stay. Clean, safe and in a great location. - Very close to Vatican City. Spacious apartment great for our group of 6 people.
Rosana is awesome and was very helpful during our stay. She knows people and was able to arrange a ride for our group to the cruise ship terminal. The water pressure was lacking which made for challenging showers in one of the bathrooms.
- Raghavan (9/5): Excellent place and the owner was very helpful. -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Perfect location and the host was very informative. - The location is excellent.
Breakfast was provided by a cafe at street level- we were given vouchers for croissant and tea/coffee. It was all good
- Alexandra (9/5): Very enjoyable stay in Rome - Large apartment in a beautiful building just next to the Vatican city. Very safe. Close to bus and metro and taxis right at the door. Pharmacy, restaurants and supermarket right there. Super host Rossana is there to help with whatever you need. She knows the city inside out as she used to be a tour guide. Traffic around the piazza risorgimento is quite noisy only between midnight and 5am it is ok- flat just has AC heating (fortunately we did not need it) - To get the warm water temperature right was a bit tricky...but it's probably easy to fix.
- Peter (9/5): Great place to stay - Lovely landlady, large bedrooms with great views, good selection of breakfast food options in kitchen Nothing
- Petra (7/5): Good - The apartment has a good location - really next to the Vatican. However further from all of the attractions in the center as Fontana di trevi and Spanish stairs.
The owner is a wonderful and very helpful lady. The furnishings in the apartment are old. The beds are a little small. The kitchen and main bathroom are about 30 years old.
- Grace (10/5): Perfect location in Rome! - Excellent location, short walk to St Peter Basilica and Vatican Museum. Lots of dining options, quiet neighborhood, not touristy. The apartment is on the 4th floor but there is a lift. Lots of hot water and there is an aircon for heating if one is visiting on winter. Very safe walking at night. Taxi rank just downstairs! Cafes downstairs! Buses just across the street. Rossana, our host is very kind and generous. The kitchen is fully stocked with biscuits, cakes, muesli, corn flakes, nutella, orange juice, milk, butter, yogurt, marmalade. She even left a bottle of red wine and white wine in the fridge. She also provided vouchers for a delicious crossaint and cappuccino at the downstairs cafe Mancini daily. And because she is a former tour guide, she gave us maps, lots of tips about things and places to see in Rome. The apartment is very clean, overlooking the St Peter's dome. It has got everything we need. There are umbrellas and ponchos, which were handy during our Pompeii day trip. We had several activities at the Vatican which made this apartment perfect! Rossana even surprised us with delicious tiramisu from Pompi for our son's birthday on our last day. We stayed 6 nights that had gone so fast. Wish we could stay longer. My son and husband loved the apartment so much, they had been complementing me. We would stay here again and again. Highly recommended! Nothing
- Natasha (9/5): Superb - The host, Rosa was wonderful! She took her time explaining all the things to us as it was very different then what we are use to. It was such a neat experience for my American kids to see how a traditional middle class family in Rome would live. We has a few little hiccups and Rosa was very quick to see to our needs. She even gave us post cards at the end of our stay with a picture of the Vatican that show the apartment we stayed in. Very cool little keepsake.
- Juanita (10/5): Amazing - The location was excellent and convenient. The provided breakfast was a nice bonus. The host was very accommodating and provided amazing tips on how to enjoy Rome to its fullest. Amazing. I liked this visit
- Mckinnell (9/5): Superb -
- Santiago (10/5): Amazing - Location es amazing, next to the Vatican and close to many options for public transport to get to the other attractions in the city. Apartment is comfortable and with all the facilities required to have a good stay. Rossana is by far the best host that you could ever ask for.
- Anonymous (10/5): Awesome definitely be back . One of the best holidays I've had . ☺️ - Fantastic location. Facilities brilliant. Host was amazing helpful all round couldn't have asked for any better. Very happy indeed. 🤩🤩
- Antonio (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is spacious, comfortable, clean and extremely well located.
The rooms are very spacious and the apartment can easily accommodate 8 ppl.
Rosanna, our hostess, is the sweetest person, who does all she can to make you feel welcome and provide a comfortable stay for her guests.
A native Roman and former travel guide, she possesses a wealth of knowledge of the city that guests should take advantage of.
Aside from the vouchers for the morning cornetto and coffee of choice (the pistachio corvettes are soooo good) the apartment is stocked with many other breakfast alternatives.
The apartment may not be in the center of Rome, but the location is above 5 ⭐, taxi stand, bus stop, restaurants, pharmacy, grocery store...right outside the door!
Thank you Rosanna for such warm hospitality. Noting
- Anonymous (10/5): The host was very hospitable and provided all that we needed - The property is overlooking the Vatican
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michaël (8/5): Really central location in a spacious apartment with a warm welcome and a wealth of travel - We were provided with vouchers to use in the cafe downstairs which was a great Italian way to start the day. Toiletries could have been large format and more environmentally friendly- we ended up buying our own in preference to the mini soaps and bottles
- Tony (9/5): Spano - All was excellent 👌 Nothing was bad
- Andreas (9/5): Excellent stay next to the Vatican and in convenient location to visit Rome center. - The biggest advantage of the property is the host. Rosanna is a great lady, supporting all the time with valuable tips and whenever and if needed, giving solutions to any problem that might appear.
The location is next to the Vatican and is very convenient if you follow Rosanna's suggestions but also if you decide to go on your own.
Easy accessible from everywhere. Close to main attractions and with nice options for food around. The apartment itself is old but in good condition.
- Dianne (7/5): Our host Rosanna was very informative. Undercover garage parking nearby. - Good location if you are travelling with a car. Close to Vatican City and bus route. Third bed in living area
- Linda (8/5): Overall, it was great!!! - Host Rossi was fantastic!!The view was actually better than expected and location was the best ever!
Also, Rossi provided a big basket of staples and a beautiful bottle of wine! thanks The bathroom by the kitchen had an issue with the shower head. The shower head couldn’t be secured in place and kept falling and actually fell on our guest.
Re: Kitchen…The refrigerator worked but needs a new gasket.
- Linda (10/5): Best of the three places we placed this trip. - Roseana is a perfect hostess. She made us feel special. Property is tops. Liked everything except our phones did not provide Europe connections. Roseana wanted to be able to contact us. She celebrated my birthday with a cake & spirits. It is a memory to remember with a smile.
- Krystal (10/5): Our favourite place to stay during our Europe adventure. - From the moment we stepped into this apartment we felt at home. Rosanna the host was amazing full of knowledge as she was an ex travel guide the knowledge she was able to share was amazing. She also was able to give us advice on how to use the buses to get around the city. The apartment is well stocked and in a fabulous location. Will definitely stay again if we return to Rome. Thank you for your hospitality Rosanna. nothing
- Veniero (10/5): Excellent apartment with a view of St. Peter’s - The host was very informative and even gave us bus and tram information. She recommended a local restaurant for dinner also. The apartment was very clean. I felt very comfortable in the apartment with my family. I wish I booked a few extra days.
- Christian (10/5): Fantastic location and accommodation. - Super location. Incredible hospitality. Spacious apartment and perfect for a family of 6-8. Our best recommendations.
- Josh (1/5): Lovely host who gave our child a bday cake. - Location is fantastic. The owner is absolutely lovely and generous. The smell of the apartment. Every pillow smelt like mould. Bedding smelt in all rooms. Every piece of cutlery, cooking equipment and plates were all grimy. The apartment is full to the brim with clutter. Makes it difficult to move a suitcase anywhere inside.
Breakfast was included although extremely insufficient. All we were given was 1 croissant each and a coffee. There was also 5 small coco pops to share between 5 people over 2 days. We had to buy our own breakfast.
On arrival the host felt it was required to stay inside apartment for 45 minutes telling us what sites to see. We did not agree with this nor did she leave when requested.
The host was also trying to enter the apartment during the stay thinking we were not there to put things in the kitchen without our consent. So wrong.
- Helen (9/5): Vatican Vista - Great apartment in a perfect location. Rossana was a very kind and thoughtful host with useful information to give on getting around in Rome. We would definitely stay there again!
- Dewi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karl (9/5): great week away, excellent location and would recommend fully. i - great location, everything within walking distance

Idea location with views of St Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City from all windows! Breathtaking views to wake up to in the morning! Rosanna is a top tier host, supplied us with breakfast vouchers each morning for a free coffee and pastry in the cafe below, provided us with a personalised map and tour route on arrival and was contactable at any time with prompts responses- she is one of a kind! This place is a must when staying in Rome for value, location and comfort! 10/10 and will recommend it to everyone I know travelling to Rome! Thank you Rosanna 🙌 Everything was Perfect
- Huiling (10/5): Great property and location, and a very friendly host who was most helpful. - The property was in a fantastic location very close to the vatican city with a splendid view of St.Peter’s Basilica. It was a very safe neighbourhood and we felt comfortable walking around. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The host was also amazing, she gave us a detailed walkthrough of how to explore Rome and many tips that came in handy. She was very friendly and made sure all of our needs were met.
