- Melissa (9/5): Great location with friendly staff - The location of Avogaria was perfect for us. It was close enough to easily walk to the main tourist attractions, but still set in a more residential neighborhood that had the vibe we desired. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make our stay easy. When our flight was cancelled and we ended up not arriving until after midnight, they communicated with us via WhatsApp detailed instructions to find the hotel to check in as well as finding our room.

The hallways have a slight smell to them, but likely due to the very old walls. This is not the property staffs fault. Just a very very old building, but well maintained.

Served us Prosecco and snacks after our long journey. 2 thumbs up! - The breakfast was an exceptionally generous continental breakfast, so much more than we expected. Served just outside our room on a quaint and private patio. The location we specifically chose due to proximity to the Venice-Rovinj ferry. That area is very quiet, but a bit of a journey to San Marco square, etc..but very easy to navigate to water busses. Nothing, Filippo was very generous with his time, expertise and knowledge of the area including restaurants, museums, etc..

Great location tucked away from the hordes but just 3 min to the San Basilo Terminal and vapparetto stop. The Zattere waterfront, grocery, cafes are all right there. Be sure to visit the artists’ collective shop a few doors down!

The first room we were shown had a broken loo seat and was quite a small room, we were then shown to a much larger room downstairs which was much better. Daria was helpful booking us a taxi and explaining where to go for dinner.

Only comment would be for the shower/tub situation. the shower hose faced from the wall in the middle of the tub instead of the end so it made it difficult to move around and clean, particularly when the curtain also was in the way. - David (9/5): A hidden gem in Dorsoduro - Flexible room booking with a discount…. and a lovely surprise with a room with a private garden in the end, a true luxury in Venice! Kind and helpful staff, very spacious room, decorated with taste and a touch of craziness. A small gem with a strong personality. Quiet area in Dorsoduro, yet very accessible with Vaporatto line 2 and only 15 mins walking from the Academia Gallery and the Grand Canal. Nothing really, reactive and helpful staff even with a late check check in.

- Van (10/5): The comfort of a hotel, combined with the personal touch and local advise of an AirBnb - Everything from the welcome with a cold towel for cooling down and a drink to the checkout went smoothly and always with a welcoming smile at the reception. Our room was incredibly beautiful, clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the necessary facilities, making 'coming home' after a day out always enjoyable. During our stay, we were always very well assisted through the virtual WhatsApp reception, which greatly helped us in finding the easiest transportation options, advice on local top dining spots, and general questions about our stay. If we visit Venice again, we will undoubtedly book here again. There was not a single thing we did not like about our stay here! The only suggestion that might further improve the hotel is the addition of an in-house washing machine/service. But again, that is an additional suggestion, not something that was bad or falsely advertised.

- Ahmed (8/5): Suitable for a short visit to venice - This is a well managed property in venice , it consists of a 5 rooms to be rented, the owners/staff was really helpful and helped us with the mistake i made in reservation . thank you very much . location was also nice as you can get a taxi to the airport after 5 minutes of walking. This is a ground floor room with four beds and a small garden, the small garden was amazing for smoking , the rooms is big and comfy . no washing machine in the room, other than that it was a very pleasant stay

We received a much appreciated ice cold face towel, complimentary drink, and nuts whilst we were being checked in. We were able to go to our room early and wow, what a room and private garden!! The bed was so comfortable, and the double shower, well, I can honestly say it was the best I've ever experienced!! The whole ambience of the hotel was authentic, and listening to the church bells from the garden was simply perfection. I would highly recommend staying here...room 2 👌💞 The water taxi is literally minutes away, and the bus station is about a 15-minute walk with only a few bridges to cross with cases! Nothing, it was truly wonderful...

- Kandis (9/5): Lovely hotel for couples...not families with small children. - The hotel was located in a hideaway spot and away from the crowds. Our room was beautiful, and since there are only five rooms in the hotel, the attention to detail and hospitality was spot on! Booking.com failed to mention this was an 18+ hotel, and I was shocked when I was told when I showed up with my small children. The staff were accommodating and made it work as it was only for one night.

- Ito (8/5): - The staff were very nice and helpful. They supported our travel by contacting us before we got in the hotel so that we didn’t feel any anxiety how to get there. We also loved how they prepared our breakfast. It was very beautiful!
- Henning (4/5): Ok - The location was excellent. The room was clean and the internet connection was good. Very friendly staff. My room was located in a building next to the hotel, sort of strange. The decor of the room was dark and odd.
