Wollten das Abendessen einnehmen im Restaurant Market. Wir wurden nicht gefragt, welche Sprache wir sprechen, ob wir essen oder einen Apero einnehmen wollten. 15 Min. wurden wir alleine gelassen+haben ausserhalb gegessen. Das Zimmer verfügt nur über 1 Papierkorb im Bad, was umständlich ist. Leider waren die Sanitäranlagen nicht in gutem Zustand. Badewannenrand verrostet + Wasserhähne tropfen. Viel Staub in der Bettkopf-Installation. Das Gästezimmer im Stockwerk darüber war auch gebucht und da hörte man jeden Schritt, auch während der Nacht. War sehr laut. Schade, dass das Zimmer nicht besser unterhalten wird, denn der Style des Hotels ist cool und setzt sich vom Standard ab.

Once we shared this information with the front desk, although they were fully booked for the evening with no other options available, they accommodated us for the remaining duration easily. They were on the ball and relayed this information throughout the team and upgraded our room for the stay. There were renovations ongoing in the hallway for our first night (+no working A/C). There was dust everywhere, falling as we opened multiple doors to get to our room. Understand that renovations are part of maintaining any facility, but going the extra mile, and letting customers know would have been a bonus. This is not a complaint, simply an area of opportunity for better service level/extra care. Overall the room was good! Also a tip for further customer care, would provide ear buds as part of the welcome goods. Walls are thin and doorway too. It would be again only be feedback for stepping up.

• FRANCISCO (4/5): Una noche para descansar. Pero para no volver. - La ubicación es muy buena. La cama cómoda y la ropa de cama limpia. Las toallas buenas y limpias. El estado general del hotel es viejo y destartalado, con desperfectos bien visibles (suelo de madera en estado pésimo, paredes sin pintar o mal pintadas, carpintería desgastada y con aspecto sucio). El personal de recepción es poco agradable.

• Viktoria (2/5): - Первое впечатление от отеля было приятным: мы приехали рано, и нам разрешили оставить вещи на хранение, что было очень удобно. После прогулки по городу мы вернулись на заселение — и тут начались проблемы. Оказалось, что наш номер фактически без окон. Формально окно было, но оно выходило во внутренний двор с неприятным запахом, поэтому открыть его было невозможно. Второе окно оказалось вовсе непригодным — без ручки, заклеенное плёнкой, через которую почти не проходил свет. В итоге в комнате было темно и душно, спасал только кондиционер. Из удобств также отсутствовал холодильник. Шкаф был неисправен — его дверь постоянно открывалась. Отдельно стоит отметить звукоизоляцию: стены настолько тонкие, что было слышно буквально всё — соседей, коридор. Каждое утро в 7:00 за стеной начинала работать уборщица: шум воды, грохот инвентаря — выспаться было невозможно. Кульминацией стало то, что на третий день в ванной мы обнаружили двух тараканов. После этого любое желание пользоваться услугами отеля, включая завтрак, полностью исчезло — возникли сомнения в санитарии кухни. Реакция персонала также оставила неприятное впечатление: когда мы сообщили о тараканах на ресепшен, сотрудник не проявил удивления, а лишь начал саркастично отшучиваться. Честно говоря, мы долго выбирали отель и не пытались сэкономить, но в итоге опыт оказался настолько негативным, что, возможно, даже хостел был бы лучшим вариантом. В первый день у нас ещё не работал телевизор . Но среди ночи он сам включился и остался гореть - пока на следующий день я не выдернула его из розетки . Тк с пульта он не реагировал . И я очень пожалела ! Что не взяла тапки- ходить босиком мне там не хотелось - пол выглядел не приятно , хотя я не из брезгливых людей !

• Denise (6/5): I would hesitate to recommend this hotel to a friend. - The location was close to the subway system which allowed easy access all around town. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe. My room and bathroom were very worn. The single window opened onto the back of a residential building which was quite noisy late into the night. The hotel had no air conditioning, so it was either deal with the noise or have a very stuffy room.

• nicas22 (10/5): Cozy hotel in central location - Booked through online booking site with beautiful, spacious, clean and stylish rooms in the photos. It didn’t disappoint! It was as if you were there when it was taken. Firstly, reception staff was welcoming , courteous and greeted us with a smile. Then we were given a room a double twin bed - spacious, clean with two pillows each bed and more spacious bathroom. The bed was comfy and we had a very goodnight sleep the rest of our stay. Restaurant was very classy with clean white linen and lovely table decor. Food in the menu was varied and delicious. There was a luggage storage facility so you can leave your suitcases if you need it. The Aerobus 1 & 2 drop-off and pick-up station is only a 5 min walking distance from the hotel which was very helpful. Location was spot on! Metro stops all over within waling distance so you can be anywhere in such a short period of time. All in all, Hotel Market is a perfect choice if you want to visit BCN. Thank you for making our stay worry free and comfortable! Definitely will recommend to family and friends!

The staff are welcoming and courteous. The room was clean and bed very comfy! Happy to go back and stay again at Hotel Market. Also, the Aerobus pick up point is nearby which is a big plus for us. They need to fix the aircon in room 901, a bit noisy but because only staying for 2 nights did not make a fuss over it, instead easily fixed with earplugs.
