John (10/5): Our second stay at the Nerva, we would go back - Enjoyed staying in the Roman Forum area but out of the hustle and bustle. Our rooms were in the annex, a short walk from the main building but the rooms were excellent. Service is exceptional and the breakfast was very good.

We started our trip in Rome and ended our trip in Rome at this hotel and wish we had started our trip here also. The staff was amazing, the breakfast was amazing and it’s very comfortable and inviting. It is also a very centrally located and would’ve saved us so much time and energy trying to get around Rome had we just stayed here from the beginning. We will definitely return and we feel like the value was absolutely worth it. The only thing that would have been nice is a few more smaller food options that you could make a dinner out of. We ended up making do with the appetizers (because it was the end of our trip and we were tired, and we did not want to go out to one more restaurant) however, just a few more items would’ve been nice.

Susan (8/5): Interesting location, wonderful breakfast, but smallish rooms. - The staff was great! They were very helpful recommending restaurants, and in making other suggestions. They made our room available early, and moved our luggage to it, while we were out. I also really liked the breakfast as well as the food that they provided for lunch. There was a free mini-bar and fresh fruit in our room. The food was outstanding. The staff was friendly. We had a junior suite, which was quite small....the shower in particular was tiny. It is understandable, given that the hotel is old, but it was smaller than anticipated. In the "sitting area" of our room, was a sleeper couch, which we didn't sleep on, but we did sit on it to watch a bit of TV. It was extremely uncomfortable. I should note that the hotel is on a hilly street, and our cab thought the street was still closed (which it was on the day before our arrival), so we (in our 70s) had to trundle our bags a ways down the cobblestone street....not a big deal, but it might be an issue for others.

From recommending and booking us into local restaurants to arranging a slightly earlier breakfast for those running the marathon- nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in a boutique budget double room which was the smallest room in hotel - size up if you can afford it as this room is very bijou!

Kent (10/5): Beautiful hotel on a darling cobblestone street near the colosseum! - We arrived early and the staff was happy to hold our bags while we explored. The hotel is beautiful and we loved the cozy room with a balcony overlooking the cobblestone streets and roman ruins. Breakfast was excellent as was the staff. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a canvas bag and water canteen with our room - and the snacks and drinks in the mini-fridge were complimentary! Loved our stay and would definitely return!

Traveler652219 (10/5): A lovely stay in the heart of Rome - This was a lovely Mr and Mrs Smith property we booked using Hyatt points transferred from Chase. The hotel was charming in a great location. Our beautiful junior suite was small but adequate for the two of us. Our room was clean and quiet even with a street facing room. We had a nice view of surrounding buildings. We also had a free mini bar. They provided us snacks, a bottle of wine (we didn't open/consume), a reusable water bottle, a book, and a tote bag to take home. Although we didn't dine at the hotel, we did have aperitivo one evening in the bar area with a musical trio playing live music. It was delightful! Every staff member was friendly and accommodating. With all this said, I probably would not stay here again only due to cash price. Using Hyatt points, it was well worth it but much to expensive for me if I were to use cash. If you don't mind paying that cash price or have points to burn, I highly recommend the Nerva Boutique Hotel.

The staff were all genuinely friendly and kind, with a particular mention to the receptionist who greeted us on arrival and who was there to help us for most of our stay, and the young man who was in the bistro in the evening. From the moment we arrived and throughout our stay, we were warmly welcomed and looked after. We loved everything it offered - our room with its super comfy bed and lots of thoughtful touches, the lounge and bistro area, the beautiful decor (modern but warm with lots of artworks and books) and the lovely food. The location is also superb, with lots of historic monuments literally on the doorstop and key sights within easy walking distance. We have already recommended this jewel to our friends and we can’t wait to go back.

From start to finish, the staff is extremely welcoming, kind, and helpful. The hotel is very clean and stylishly decorated, as was our room. We felt very comfortable, and enjoyed the hotel’s very charming atmosphere. The location is also wonderful. It’s located directly across from a site of old ruins, and walking distance to multiple city attractions. The nightly value was also great, and they offered us free tokens to cocktail hour and breakfast, as well. We would absolutely book here again!

colinnaughton (10/5): Thank you Nerva! - Have just had a wonderful four days in Rome staying at the Nerva. A great boutique hotel with amazing staff who are so welcoming and helpful. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the colosseum and only 10-15 minutes from Trevi/Pantheon etc. Due to its amazing location the road it is situated on has a high volume of pedestrian traffic but we were in a room overlooking the road and had no issues with noise. We had a superior room (101) and it was lovely with plenty of space for the two of us. It was always nice coming back after a day of walking to find the room beautifully clean. Could not have been happier with our choice and the hotel is great value for money. Many thanks to all the staff for making our trip special.

The complimentary drinks and extras also make it an extra special stay. Located at the heart of the Roman Forum area it’s in walking distance of everything. The bedroom was perfect and the bar is a classy place to relax after a day on your feet. The staff are super helpful and all speak great English. Book direct and book the breakfast- delicious & homemade. I am fortunate to have travelled a fair bit and this hotel is as near to perfect as any hotel I have stayed in, and is great value for money.

nicnac201 (10/5): Best hotel I have ever been to! - This is genuinely the best hotel I have ever been to. I stayed here for 5 nights and the hotel was amazing! It looks even better than the photos. The room was spotless, the housekeeping staff do an amazing job. The room had fresh flowers and a door/mini balcony, which faced onto a classic old roman street with gorgeous architecture. The reception staff were super friendly and took time showing me the top things I should do in the city during my stay, on a map. They also gave me 4 free drink vouchers to use, a drink bottle and a tote bag. The minibar was free too and they refill it everyday! The location is insane, it's a 5 minute walk from the colosseum and roman forum. It was also easy to walk into town which is also nearby. The rooms are properly soundproof, I never heard a peep from any other room. They also have great air-con. It was so nice to spend the day surrounded by history and come back to a hotel you actually want to spend time in- it made it a dream trip. I literally have no notes for improvement. If I am lucky enough to go back to Rome, I will definitely be staying here again!

I felt so safe traveling alone and the staff was very caring and friendly. There is some construction in the area so it’s easy to get lost using navigation and street maps. Otherwise, the location is ideal. The rooms are small but well appointed. The surrounding area has lots of restaurants but be sure to read the reviews! I would absolutely return to this hotel.

(Specifically, the concierge was unbelievably helpful - she got us reservations at a restaurant when we'd tried multiple places and failed. She was super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful and she's one of the reasons we'd return and recommend Nerva to everyone!) The room was like a beautiful apartment right in the heart of Rome, walkable to the Colosseum and other sights. This is our go-to hotel in Rome from now on, we wouldn't consider anywhere else.

Just a short walk to the Colosseum and close enough to all the other major sites, so we walked everywhere with ease. We stayed in the Annex, and the room was simple, clean, and elegant with everything we needed, including a mini-bar/fridge and an incredibly comfortable king-size bed. The staff was warm and exceptionally hospitable! We absolutely loved the hotel bistro, super cute and cozy. Excellent for breakfast or evening cocktails/wine. I truly love this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome!

We booked two rooms and I noticed that one had some towels next to the toilet and if you flush it will splash the towels. Something that is easy to fix by the hotel.
