- Guzzardi (8/5): Relax , svago e turista a go go - La struttura e stata di nostro piacimento pulita, colazione abbondante e ottima qualità, ben servita. Wifi poco segnale
- Radho0 (10/5): -
- bernadette (9/5): - petit déjeuner correct
personnel aimable
Nulla.
- Nicola (10/5): -
- Sally (10/5): - everyone was so helpful and the room was lovely and i had an absolutely wonderful experience. also the breakfast was astounding

- Fabio (10/5): - Very nice facility
- Novan (10/5): - Worth the price
- Deborah (10/5): - Wonderful area in Naples! Towels so soft! Loved being inside the monestary with the tourists, clergy and school.
- Malut (8/5): Over-all, we like our stay - close to everywhere we want to be - All you can eat breakfast was very satisfying. The Property Manager , Marco was very accommodating, kind and helpful in helping us navigate the city Limited hot water in the shower
- Yvon (2/5): - Aucun accès en voiture
- Elspeth (8/5): Casa del Monacone & Locanda del Monacone, Naples - Quirky and unique nature of building, excellent staff so helpful, informative and welcoming. They ordered us a taxi too. Not touristy at all in a local area. Hiighly recommend the Locanda del Monacone restaurant around the corner - 5 mins walk, superb meals, service, and good prices
- Werner (8/5): - Sehr lebendiges Quartier
- Irene (4/5): Disappointing Stay Despite Helpful Staff - I had high expectations for this property due to the historic nature of the building, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst accommodation of our entire trip through Italy. We stayed in a variety of places—hotels, Airbnbs, agriturismos—and this was by far the most disappointing.
The main issue was the bathroom, specifically the hot water supply. As a family of four, having reliable hot water is essential. Sadly, it was completely inconsistent. Sometimes the hot water would stop midway through a shower, and I was the most unlucky one-- never had any hot water at all—despite waiting 10 minutes each time, standing in freezing conditions (it was 12°C that night). It made what should have been a relaxing experience after a long day sightseeing, uncomfortable.
The only reason I’m giving any stars at all is because of the wonderful service from Giuseppe and Marco. Giuseppe in particular went out of his way to help us—he found us a nearby parking garage, fixed the Wi-Fi when it wasn’t working, and was always quick to respond to messages. Their support was much appreciated, but unfortunately, even their best efforts couldn’t resolve the ongoing water issues.
I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but this experience impacted our trip, and I feel it’s important to share for anyone considering this property during the colder seasons. Until the water issues are fully resolved, I can't recommend this place.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): A great stay in a great city - We thought the staff and the location were excellent. Breakfast was good and the use of a kitchen was much appreciated.
- David (10/5): A great introduction to Naples. We were right in its vibrant centre. So much to recommend about the place. - Location and courtesy of the staff. Nothing
- Timothy (10/5): - A wonderful, intimate experience. My only complaint is the difficulty finding overnight parking (I used an app to reserve a spot at a location about 15 minutes away on foot).
- Marian (9/5): This is a nice place to stay with an interesting history to explore. - Casa del Monacone was an old convent adjacent to a beautiful church. Marco and Giuseppe were so helpful in suggesting restaurants, getting us taxi and answering our many questions. The location was great for walking all around Naples. At night the street noise was very loud, motorcycles driving up and down the street until well past midnight. It made it difficult to sleep.
- Therese (9/5): Superb - Great location in authentic neighborhood. Very nice staff who gave tips and advice about the town and the atmosphere at the old convent is unique and very cosy.
- Gabriel (10/5): Great place with great staff. Amazing initiative. Very clean -
- Theresa (8/5): The room is comfortable and spacious but there are some inconveniences to deal with. - The location is convenient with easy access to food, shops, and transportation. The building is connected and shared with a daycare. It’s a bit confusing to get around and you share spaces with people who are not guests. The rooms are in multiple levels and difficult to access with luggage. There is no assistance provided with only one staff. Also, the door handle is broken so you have to grasp the actual door to open it.
- Louise (2/5): - The street it was on was dirty. The property had a bad oder, the building was very odd. The person who met us there, Marco, did his best to welcome us.
Super consigliato
- Serafina (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and staff were excellent. Location was amazing !
- Ferdinando (8/5): - Nette Unterkunft und nette Besitzer. Lage super. Frühstück in Ordnung. Bei Fragen wird sofort geholfen.
- Elizabeth C. (10/5): - The property is very unique, being housed in a former monastery, attached to a stunning church and historic catacombs. The district where it is located, Rione Sanità, has been the project of a group of locals for several years who have worked hard to revitalize it, make it safe, and restore the historic sites. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable, there are nearly unlimited amazing food options within walking distance, and enough history in the city of Naples to satisfy the thirst of anyone with a curiosity for it. Don't be deterred by the "working class" look of the neighborhood, that is part of its charm, and one of the things we loved most about our stay!
- Emilio (10/5): - Very roomy and it makes you feel like you live like one of the locals. The host was very accommodating and hospitable with us, even after arriving later than we planned (we drove from Palermo and took a while to arrive). The people around the neighborhood all appear to be friendly, from the pizza place to the market directly across from this B&B. There’s a parking garage one half block down which was convenient for us. I guess that’s the main takeaway from me — everything was convenient. Thank you!
- Ceri (10/5): Our stay was wonderful, relaxing and refreshing. - Peaceful and welcoming There was nothing to dislike about Casa Del Monacone.
- Olga (8/5): Peaceful oasis close to the historic centre of Naples - It was a peaceful oasis in a bustling authentic Neapolitan neighborhood, close to the historic centre. Clean and comfortable room, quiet if you keep the window closed. Great common kitchen and lounge. Lot of books and interesting contemporary art. Amazing pastries and good coffee for breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Thanks very much, Marko and everybody else. I would love to come back. Can't think of anything. Everything worked out well.
- Laura (10/5): - Logement propre bien placé c'était parfait
- Farid (8/5): - Definitely a little creepy that it’s located above a catacombs museum and was previously a monastery. Once you get over that, it’s a pretty decent place to stay! Staff are nice and the breakfast service is pretty good for the price too
- Christos (9/5): Superb - Very comfort apartment Little noisy from the cars passing the bridge up to the apartment
- Sharon (7/5): Comfortable and accessible to subway (metro) - Average Extremely Noisy even late at night. Location is busy part of Naples
- Theresa (10/5): The location Rione Sanita is an astonishing and vital part of the city, it supports the Rione - Very nice breakfast, helpful staff, beautiful breakfast room
- Grace (10/5): - This is a wonderful place to stay in Naples! We had a beautiful room, there is a pretty terrace, nice breakfast and Giuseppe and the staff were so kind and helpful!! Must stay here!! Beautiful
- Vita (9/5): Superb -
- isabelle (10/5): Merveilleux !
- Guozijie (10/5): Great place -
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (10/5): Casa del Monacone - Vi stannade 2 nätter. Allt fungerade väldigt bra. Enkelt inredda rum men rent o fräscht.
- David (10/5): One of the best city breaks we have had thanks to our accomadation and its staff and Naples. - An old convent converted to a B&B .From the outside you would never guess whats inside.A lovely courtyard simple but lovely rooms great staff.Giuseppe our host was superb very helpful and full of local knowledge ! Can be a bit noisy late evening ,but Naples is a noisy lively city and they do provide earplugs just in case !
- Maya (8/5): Exciting - The breakfast was really good. The location of being right next to the catacombs was so unique and we really enjoyed it. The area surrounding the hotel is not the nicest in Naples.
- Nikolas (8/5): Very good -
- Phil (10/5): Unusual historical setting and well maintained - Extremely well located. Different setting. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. We recommend. Naples is very loud and busy.
- William (8/5): Very good -
- Cyril (8/5): - Lieu très sympa
Accueil chaleureux et conseils précieux de Giuseppe
Chambre spacieuse
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cathedral stay in great location - After arriving at Casa del monacone, I was met by Guiseppe. He was very helpful and friendly. As soon as I got there he told me everything about the location. I recommend he save that for the morning, as it was too much info at that time.
The first night was freezing. There is no carpet, and the heat pump was tricky to work. After a freezing night, I awoke to the breakfast. Great coffee and delicious salami and cheese on fresh bread with croissants/pastry as well. I enjoyed that a lot!
The place has other people coming and going downstairs.
I felt safe, but it was cold and sometimes no one else about.
The location was great, the area was grungy but I felt safe and easy to get good pizza and coffee nearby. Not to mention the archeological museum, very close too!
Overall ok stay, but I recommend go there in summer! It will be lovely and cool.
- Karen (10/5): Great for seeing real Napoli. - I was very happy with my stay at this B&B. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was adequete, the staff were all very nice and helpful. The area (Sanita) is very interesting. I liked it because it was the same kind of area where I teach in the USA. Area looks impoverished. I had absolutely no problem or safety concerns in this area. 10-minute walk to the subway station. I would stay here again and recommend it to easy-going travelers.
- Christopher (10/5): Great guesthouse in exciting neighbourhood. - Lively location, good room and great welcome. Decent breakfast also.
Ongeveer 10 minuutjes wandelen.
Genial anders...
- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean, well-priced,hard to locate, busy area - The positives: room was very clean. Reasonably furnished though small . Twin beds were narrow European versions. Staff was friendly and helpful, but I had to ask strangers for help calling the reception person because he was gone when I arrived. He had left a note for me on the huge door that leads to the back of a church, but the door was open and I did not see the note. It is a short walk to the National Museum of archeology. Cons: It was very hard to find. There is no sign on the door. You go to the big door under the bridge next to the church on Via Sanita. Figuring out how to get down to Via Sanita was difficult. Via Sanita crosses Under Santa Teresa. The neighborhood is crowded and not easy to drive in. I would describe it as generally working class. Leave excess money in the safe. My husband stayed double parked while I checked the room. When I returned 3young men were opening our trunk. There is a secure garage nearby for $10/day. In summary: The room was clean and secure. The staff are very nice. The price is budget and the room is worth the price. It's a 12 minute walk to museum. Not sure about ease of public transit or if taxistas know how to get there. The neighborhood is a busy working class area, but with reasonable care, I felt safe. Parking is almost impossible to find on the street and insecure.
J y reviendrais volontier. Les chambres sont confo. L espace cuisine est grand et beau! Une terrasse sympa.
et tranquille. Le quartier est vivant et pas cher!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible - unsafe - Horrible! Not anywhere near where we had asked to be. Taxi couldn't even get there because of road construction. Dark entranceway - need four keys & two different codes to get into our unit. Unmarked exits. TOTALLY UNSAFE AREA - not for tourists. We booked three nights - stayed just one although we prepaid. When we asked for direction from local shopkeepers they told us it's unsafe to be out after dark! We feel we were deceived & misguided by Venere & deserve a refund & apology.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Napoli'nin kalbinde... - Napoli'nin merkezi lokasyonunda bulunan, kentin duygusunu rahatça yaşayabileceğiniz La Casa del Monacone temiz, geniş odaları, güleryüzlü, yardımcı genç personeli ile muhteşem bir deneyim sunuyor.
Catacomb ziyaretini kaçırmayın!
- Chia Wei (4/5): - It was very difficult to find and its really hard to get in and out of the hotel because there are 4 keys and 2 passwords just to get to your room. They only take cash which I thought was sketchy, I've never heard of a hotel that didn't take credit cards.
