Believe it or not, you will find many hotels with a 5-star rating on travel websites, but these hotels are actually rated 3 stars. So do not pay attention to those stars. The most important thing is cleanliness, maintenance and hospitality, which I think you will find at Gallery Residence & Hotel. Nişantaşı is a residential quarter in the Şişli district on the European side of Istanbul and is known for its unique shopping selection. It is easy to feel a luxurious atmosphere in the streets. For both locals and tourists, Nişantaşı is the place where fashion lives and grows. The hotel is located in a quiet street, 5 minutes walk from Abdi İpekçi. Nearby is a new shopping center (Lotus), from which you can easily reach Osmanbay Street and the metro station. If you are interested in visiting beautiful old French designed buildings and warm atmosphere, you can walk 20 minutes to Istiklal Street. There is a pub (Meyhane) and a good grocery store in front of the hotel, but the area was very quiet at night. During the day, this street is very lively and busy because of the many tailor and barber stores. As for the decoration of the hotel, you feel like you are in an art gallery, so the name is so perfect for this place. Your eyes will be fed by the many posters and paintings and the rooms inscribed with famous painters. I was in the Lautrec (the French painter) room. Would fully recommend.

I landed very early and they allowed me a very early check in and even upgraded me to a beautiful suite. The room was spacious, comfortable and beautiful and the breakfasts were great. Location is central to tons of shopping and restaurants. I would highly recommend a stay here while in Istanbul!

- Irada (2/5): - this hotel is listed as 4 stars. but I wouldn't give more than 2. our room was on the 7th floor and the elevator only goes up to the 6th floor. and we, with 3 suitcases, climbed the spiral staircase on foot. besides that, the rooms are awfully small. and horribly ugly design. The water in the shower was did not getting stuck all the time. look at the photo. it's near to my bed - how can this hotel have 4 stars? The only good thing is the location of the hotel. Expedia indicated the kitchen in the room. but there was no kitchen at all, only a kettle. I chose this hotel because there was no room in the hotel where I always stay. I will never stay again and do not recommend to anyone. I have been in Istanbul very often over the past 10 years and have stayed in many hotels for 10 years, but I have never seen such a terrible hotel at such a not cheap price.

I like also the neighborhood,close to a nice park and to one of the best arias in the town,Nisantasi.It is close by underground to Cevahir shopping and Ak Merkez. Two of the best concert halls in Istanbul,Cemal Resit Rey and Lutfi Kirdar,are just a few steps away and Is Sanat concert hall is easily accesible by underground.

- M Salman (10/5): Amaizing Stay - Perfect choice if u r traveling with kids and plan to commute on metro. Mr. Ahmed at reception is so helpful, friendly and honest person. He helped & guided me about the whole city, arranging tours, shopping areas, culture etc. suggested me some resturants like NUSRAT which i didnt find on trip advisor and internet. Helped me a lot in ordering food because i was new to Turkish cuisine. I had luggage with me which i didnt want to carry during further travel to oludeniz, so hotel staff helped me in keeping my lugguage. I read negative comments regarding breakfast but I found a lot of variety in food and it was quite delicious.

- qazxsw (6/5): good location and breakfast - Overall it is a reasonable experience. The location is good. So is the breakfast. The staff is helpful and welcoming; However, the room needs renovation - the furniture is worn down, fixtures and the overall condition of the room is on the older side; some broken, some patched up, not very nicely. Some nice touches in the room to give the impression that it is in a higher class than it actually is.

But the amenities were poir and worse thannit has shown at their site.. the bathroom glass door was ajar aroun the frame due to incompetent fixation and when you use the bathroom, it was like using in the middke of the room. Lication was the only goid thing about..

I would have given them a higher rating if they didn't put me in the basement though... would have preferred to see a view when I look out the window. Reception staffs and breakfast staff are always eager to help. Location is not bad as it is near the Metro station and lots of eateries around.

- Saras (10/5): Excellent all round - My husband and I spent 5 nights at this hotel while I attended a conference at the nearby Istanbul Congress Hall (5 minutes walk away). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.The room was quite generous in size. Staff provided excellent service. Located only 20 minutes walk away from Taksim square but far enough away from the recent demonstrations there, 3 minutes walk to the Metro and nearby high-end shops and boutiques and cafes. Excellent location, excellent facilities, excellent service, excellent value for money. We also stayed at another hotel whilst in Istanbul but the Gallery would be my first choice for future stays in Istanbul.
