- Stanley (8/5): - Wonderful historic property (built in 1641 as a private home). As typical, it did not have an elevator for customers so we had to walk up 2 floors to our room. Otherwise it was wonderful and the staff very helpful. St. Mark's Square is close by, and gondola access is adjacent. Loved our 2 night stay. We were pleased they were able to provide 3 rooms for our family group of 9 persons (my wife & I, our 2 grown daughters and their famlies). I would certainly recommend this property!
- tcost (8/5): Cozy hotel with alot of history - First time in Venice - we stayed in room 201 for 2 nights. Great little hotel - would suggest trying to stay in the top floor if you can (floor above ours) - it has much cozier feel and the rooms feel bigger. Room 201 had enough room for our family (2 adults and 2 children) - view outside of the canals with nice windows that opened up and let in a ton of breeze and air. Make sure to bring European outlet converters - also, everything had to be plugged in when we got there. Hotel has alot of steps and no elevator except for bags. The hotel is lightly staffed but someone is always at the door to let you in and out (which is great for safety). Our room had a magnet card but others had actual keys which they ask for when you leave each day (kind of weird and other people in our party found it annoying). Breakfast is served daily and was pretty decent. Lots of great restaurants close by and below - we sat and ate along the canal for almost every meal.

- stacymQ3055BB (10/5): Awesome small hotel with a great location and staff - Highly recommended hotel in the heart of Venice. Our group of 8 rented a total of three rooms in this beautiful boutique hotel. We needed a quad room for us and our two kids… the quad room was huge with a double (king) and two twins. Beautiful rooms with fancy Venetian look. The breakfast buffet is everyday starting at 8 and was a fantastic and surprising addition to our stay (included in the price) - lots of options from pastries, meats and cheese, to cereal, yogurts, fruit, and even made to order coffee drinks. The staff is very kind and extremely helpful. They helped us to organize a water taxi from the airport directly to the hotel (the stop is only a 2 minute walk over one bridge with stairs). The rooms are all on the 1st floor (so American second floor) but there is a lift to take the luggage up. Staff is available 24hours if needed. We arrived rather late and they were awaiting our arrival at the hotel and even had made reservations for all 8 of us at a restaurant just outside the hotel. The hotel location was absolutely ideal… easy walk to St Marks or Rialto, on a small canal that had gondolas going by, small restaurants right outside our door, but very quiet and not too close to all the chaos around St Marks. I would stay here again when we return to Venice and highly recommend this hotel for their rooms, location and service.

Very friendly staff and the rooms are clean and fabulous .Very calm and relaxed part of Venice yet close to San Marco and surroundings.Near to the all main objects. Great breakfast and really big and comfortable room , Superior Quadruple Room. Our family room for four was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated ,old Venetian style. Large family roomThe staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel clean and very spacious .Highly recommended hotel

- GrandTour48472338334 (10/5): A lovely hotel with excellent staff and location. - The pictures do not do the hotel justice. It's so pretty. The rooms are large and lovely. The location is perfect. Close to all. Very easy to get to from the boat drop off. The staff is amazing. Someone is always there to help. BTW go to Borano, it's a lovely island. Not as busy as Morano.
- Michelle (6/5): Disappointed - I accidentally booked 2 nights instead of 3, so when we checked in I immediately booked an additional night. It was more than double, but I figured that was my fault since I booked late. They had us move to another room for the last night because we “booked a better room.” It was not better. It was much smaller, very loud due to being right in the street (very late into the night, noise in the middle of the night and very early). It was hot and we couldn’t open the windows due to mosquitos and we still had many bites. The hair dryer didn’t work, so they had another hair dryer, but nowhere to plug it in in the bathroom. The mirror in the bathroom is so far and a light out, so I had to do my makeup on a compact mirror in the main room. Also, the first room had small pillows doused in some kind of perfume and it was very bothersome. Will not stay again.

- 548redas (2/5): Nightmare bed bugs! - Beware, this place has bed bugs and the mattresses are disgusting, it doesn't have any mattress cover, bed bugs all over the beds, I traveled with my wife and two kids, as soon as we found out we took our stuff and stepped outside the room from 2 am, we waited in the waiting area until 8 am because it was too dark to any where. They knew the room had bed bugs and yet they still gave it to us....nightmare! Now we have to go through the headache of sanitizing the bags....

- Jimb0b69 (10/5): Corte Dei Greci Venice - We stayed for ten days, bed and breakfast, Danieli on the first meeting was very pleasant and extremely helpful, arranging a water taxi to Murano free of charge,( we had to arrange our own return but with good instruction to best utilise our time) this was our first day. The Feast of the Redeemer festival happened to be on during our visit to Venice and again Danieli advised us of this and ensured we had the necessary tickets and instructions on how best to view this spectacular fireworks display and also to cross the lagoon on a bridge of barges constructed specifically for the festival the next day. Any time we needed direction Danieli was only too willing to help, the staff at the Corte Dei Greci were all lovely and helpful too, our last night we asked Danieli if he had any recommendations on where to eat and he gave us directions, not only that he had unbeknownst to us phoned the restaurant to reserve us a table as it was very popular and it was a lovely meal too. Our whole family had a wonderful holiday in Venice a beautiful city by any standards and I would like to thank Danieli and all the staff at the Corte Dei Greci for all their efforts on our behalf. I feel as if this is stating the obvious but I would highly recommend a trip to Venice and this hotel, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else if I was to return to Venice and I give everyone at the Corte Dei Greci five stars. - Voyager31869922491 (10/5): Amazing hotel experience - Love love loved everything about this hotel. Spent 10 days here with family. Daniele was so friendly and helpful with any query and advice. Arranged a free boat trip to Murano for us which was amazing. Helped us with booking ‘tickets’ for the Feast of the Redeeemer celebrations. Excellent restaurant recommendation on our last night. The whole team were lovely, breakfast every morning was great, exactly what was needed, so much choice and the ladies were lovely. Room was beautiful, air conditioned, space for all four of us. Room cleaned/tidied every day. Always someone available on reception to help. Thank you Daniele and your wonderful team. We hope to see you all again soon ❤️

I read a review of this problem and assume it is only in a particular room. A room beside if the breakfast area. The smell permeated our room but was very bad in the bathroom. We covered a grate on the bathroom floor with a towel and it seemed to help. We were only there for a night so we decided to stick it out. Other than that it was a nice hotel, friendly staff and convenient location. Adjacent restaurant was very good.

My husband was ill when we arrived and slept like a baby in this wonderful hotel until we departed the next day. The man at reception was so kind as to bring us crossants as we were all weak from aong journey and walking. The breakfast was great and the staff wonderful. The room was very clean and had more than we could ask for and expected. This hotel is highly recommended. I just want to say it's a distance from train station do taje a boat. But the restaurants and saint mark square is very close. Great location.

- Melanie (10/5): - This was the perfect location for our Venice stay. It is only a 5 minute walk to San Zaccaria Alilaguna boat service (for water transfer to airport and other island stops) and 8 minute walk to St. Mark’s square. You do not have to maneuver suitcases across bridges to get to the hotel from the boat stop. They have a luggage elevator inside so you do not have to carry luggage upstairs (no elevator for people if that is a need). The location was very quiet with 2 excellent restaurants adjacent to the property and a fabulous Venetian/Carnival mask shop 3 buildings down. We will definitely make sure to stay here again if we return to Venice. Our room had a king size bed, 2 twin beds for our kids, and a private full size bathroom (shower only). The staff was very friendly. The room was beautiful, comfortable for our family of 4, and clean. We left early at 5:15am and they even put together breakfast bags for us to take with us to the airport.

The person at the desk provided us with a map of the area and told us the best places to visit. We had a room for four adults and it was extremely clean and welcoming, housekeeping every day. The breakfast was a lot more than we were expecting, cooked offering as well as pastries, cereals and fruit. The staff were all really good, great English which was handy for us. They arranged a trip to Murano and just provided information and advice every time we needed anything. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Venice, central location to all main attractions and close to restaurants.
- larryhQ982LY (6/5): Fine for a Night........ - We stayed her one night post-cruise. Our water taxi dropped us off about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel we had to wait about 15 minutes for someone to arrive at the desk to check-in. There isn't an elevator except for luggage, The room/hotel is dated but clean/nice. I would've appreciated better coffee (not instant) in room. There is a very good restaurant (to the right of hotel when looking at front door from outside) next door. The staff of the hotel was helpful.
- Joshua (6/5): Not Kid Friendly - Good location and standard accommodations. What really frustrated us is a charge of €15/night for a portable crib for our 1 year old that we had to use even though we brought our own. No real explanation except that it was “policy.”

Desk staff were all very helpful and even gave us breakfast to go because we had to check out early the next morning. I would definitely stay here again. There are no elevators available and all rooms are either on the 2on and 3rd floors.

- W1750Hlol (8/5): Great hotel - such an amazing beautiful hotel, many people said that it was out dated and i have to agree it is quite old but to me that’s what gives the venice italian feeling with the high ceilings and old wall paper. The breakfast was great, and the views from the rooms we stayed were beautiful. It’s located in such a great place with a gondola service right outside the hotel and loads of restaurants near by. There was a little old smell to the hotel aswell which i think needed to be sorted out aswell. The breakfast and living room was on the second floor and there is no lift which was no problem for me. The staff were very kind aswell.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was large and clean with a very powerful hot shower. Continental breakfast was plentiful. The hotel is excellently situated for wherever you want to go. Hotel organised a visit to Murano glass factory by speed boat for free. Breakfast was continental and very tasty. Location was excellent 5 minutes from airport boat drop off. 10 mins walk to Palazzo Ducale and Basilica. Restaurant Trattoria Roberto just 3 mins walk from hotel do excellent food staff very friendly great service.

We had temperature control and a sofa and table to sit at.The shower was hot and strong.The staff were informative. Our only disappointment was that we asked for a glass for our room and were not able to have one. On our last day they looked after our cases and allowed us to sit, use the toilet and charge our phones long after check out until it was time to leave.

Our room was perfect, clean and comfy. We were able to leave our luggage on our last day and collect at anytime which was a great help.

- konstantino92 (2/5): Stolen personal belongings, awful service, rude staff. - In this hotel there is a notorious room 105, which is not nearly the same as advertised on the website. This room should not cost the same as others, and should be named something like economy class room. It is extremely small (even the cabinet drawer can’t be open because it is blocked by a night stand), ugly and has a faded door leading to the balcony which you can’t use because it is locked. On top of that, there is absolutely no sound isolation in the room - you can hear everyone talking at the reception desk, even at 5 am when the staff change shifts. The main sound source is the staff, and this is totally unprofessional. Their job is to provide comfort, but at this place they just do not care about guests. Basically, if you are given this room, you will be treated poorly and disrespectfully by the staff, especially Herbert and Alex. They are never saying «hello», or «you are welcome» after we thank them. It’s like anybody who lives in this horrible room 105 does not deserve respect, because their stay is already ruined and they will anyway write a negative review. So why bother. On top of that, there are serious security problems in the hotel. In our last day, somebody stole my headphones, which were connected to a computer and put on the night stand. I regularly use them, so I noticed their disappearance straight away and reported to the reception. Alex, who is mostly present during night shifts, was also remarkably rude with me, claiming that it was just my imagination and I should have put everything in the safe. The main reason for such thefts (there were other cases reported in reviews) is that you must leave your keycard at the desk, while going out, which is very unusual. And there is a camera aimed at the storage, which is (surprisingly) not working. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences ever imagined. The staff treat you like people of a lower sort. The room is falsely advertised and should cost much less than those shown on the website. Combine it with security concerns and you have three huge reasons to avoid this hotel.
- InnaRu94 (2/5): Disappointment. False advertising. Possible theft. - The hotel is totally opposite to what is advertised on the website. We booked a classic room on their website for 5 nights. When we arrived, the room looked much worse, so we asked to change it for something similar to the pictures. The receptionist said that we’ve seen another type of room on photos as if we are stupid. I even visited their website again to check it and no, it wasn’t another type. He said that they’re fully booked and can’t change it, so we had to stay there. The room was so small, we had to move furniture to find a place for our suitcases. There were black hair everywhere in the bathroom - on the walls, toilet, sink. A lot of mold in the shower. In the corridor and bedroom there was a strong smell of canalisation all the time, we felt really upset to stay there for 5 nights. But the worst was sound isolation. The receptionists were loudly talking with people returning from dinner till midnight, then it was ok till 5-6am, then another staff was arriving and discussing their problems sometimes screaming on each other. Impossible to sleep. Also a church nearby bells at midnight and at 7 in the morning, and all day long children scream from near sport school and old windows don’t stop the noise (we had the inner yard view). And the cherry on top - my husband’s personal belonging disappeared from the room when we were on dinner the last night (you have to leave the key at the reception). When we asked to see the cameras for the evidence, they said that cameras don’t work. Suspicious, right? The worst hotel ever, such a shame for its location.

I never expected a hotel in prime place with top dollars would have some old cheep beds. The curtains only covered half the window with so much light coming into room from outside. I would never again would stay in this hotel and I would not recommend anyone unless they update the room with good bed, linen and decent cabinets. The elevator was not working and staff weren't courteous. When I asked the directions to public water taxi, he gave some reason and wanted to arrange a private taxi. Overall one of the worst hotel experience. Venice and Murano are wonderful places a must visit and we love to come back again and certainly stay in better place.

A lovely hotel in an excellent location - just a stone’s throw from the sights of San Marco but tucked away from all the tourist hustle and bustle on a quiet Fondamenta. The staff could not be more welcoming, friendly and helpful, always on hand to answer any questions you may have. The rooms have a traditional Venetian style and are well maintained, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is perfect to set you up for the day ahead - served to your table (due to the pandemic I believe so whether this will change in future I don’t know) based on a form you fill in on arrival indicating your preferences - but any extras/changes are perfectly possible when dining. If you need to leave luggage after you check out until later in the day, this is also possible which is a great help when on a later flight. All in all, a perfect base from which to explore this enchanting city. Thank you to the staff for always making me so welcome and ensuring a comfortable stay - I look forward to seeing you again next time I’m back in Venezia!

A lovely little hotel in an excellent location just off the San Marco waterfront but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist haunts so it is nice and peaceful. The hotel was very clean and felt very safe in the current pandemic circumstances. From the moment of arrival and throughout my stay staff were welcoming, friendly and super-helpful. As a buffet breakfast is not possible under the current COVID rules, you fill out a form detailing what you would like and this served to you each morning (you can still ask for additional items as required) I am a fairly regular visitor to the city and would happily stay here again.

This hotel was in a great location with 2 very good restaurants outside the door of the hotel along the canal. 7 minute walk to St Mark's Square, so far enough away to avoid the main noise. The staff was awesome, always at the front desk or very close by. The front door to the hotel was very secure at all times. The room was nice with a very nice bathroom. Lots of room for 2 people and luggage. The twin beds were pushed together and the division was barely noticeable, which we appreciated. Air conditioning worked great with remote. The hotel info books in the room could be updated. They said you had to pay for wifi and breakfast, but that is not the case as both are included in your stay. A good place for the price, we recommend.

- Debra (10/5): A gem on San Marcos! - this boutique hotel is located in a quiet area on San Marcos and is a real gem. We got upgraded to a suite, not sure why, so we had 3 beds and a sitting area in the room. The air conditioning was great (hard to find sometimes!) and the staff was very friendly. The rate included breakfast too. It was a perfect location, as you are close to the square, but back a few streets on a quiet road, overlooking a canal. The only drawback I can think of is the elevator only goes to the first floor, then you have to carry bags upstairs if you are on floor 2, but the staircases are very wide and the staff helped us carry them. the beds were a bit firm, but roomy and I had no problem sleeping! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

- Bradford (8/5): Would go back - The hotel was as adverised. Very good location in relation to St. Mark's square and vaporetto stand on Grand Canal. The breakfast was ok and the coffee machine was great. The bed and bath rooms were clean. The AC was very good in our room. The staff were very friendly. The only reason I went low on comfort was that the bed was pretty hard. But having stayed in a couple more hotels in Italy, that may be the standard. Over all a great stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Corte Dei Greci was quite good, but not great. The receptionists were helpful and accommodating. They were very helpful at storing our luggage at check in (we checked in early) and check out times even though their storage area was small. It was at no extra charge. We reserved a room for three, but they gave us a room for four. Our room had beautiful chandelier and furniture. The same for the adjacent hall where we had a nice breakfast ( there were many breakfast rooms.) The room was clean, quite and charming but we had issues with the electric outlets. They didn’t have enough outlets, and not all of them worked. We had to use the outlet in the bathroom to charge our phones. A room for four should have more outlets. The other surprise was that they didn’t have coffee machines, which is unusual. Also, when we asked about how to get to S. Lucia train station, we got different answers from different receptionists which was very confusing. I would say it’s good, but you should get more for what you paid.

- Ron (4/5): A very odd hotel with an unsympathetic management. - Guests are greeted by a steep, 21 step climb directly from Reception with no passenger lift - a challenge for me with a broken hip. The room was clean but served by an eccentric air conditioning system that provided either seriously cold temperatures or allowed a daunting build-up of the day's heat. The hand control did not work and the system appeared to be operated from the reception desk. My original booking for 17, 18 and 19 July was, for legitimate and understandable reasons, incorrect and within a hour had been amended to 19,20 and 21 July giving ample time for the hotel to re-let the rooms. The manager refused to make any changes or refunds, insisting that two separate bookings had been made and as a result I paid for two nights when the rooms lay empty and one night when we paid twice for the room we were occupying. In addition was the prospect of "no show" fees. The added cost to me of this lamentable episode was Euros 312.20 on top of the cost for the time we actually spent in the hotel.
