• Marieanne (6/5): - It is uniquely situated near Charite hospita, and the price is fair.. Our room in the 4th floor was small but clean with everything provided you need for a short stay. The staff is friendly. The romm is well soundproof. However, if it is hot outside, it becommes too warm inside, or too noisy if you open the window. There is a fan inside but it is also too noisy for sleep. There is no air conditioning. Still, if it is not too warm outside, it is a good choice.

• Jenni (4/5): - Das Hotel verfügt nicht über einen angemessenen Empfangsbereich am Eingang des Gebäudes. Um zur Rezeption zu gelangen, muss man durch vermüllte Eingänge und Flure gehen. Die Zimmer haben keine Seife, kein Bügeleisen und sind bis auf ein Bett und einen Stuhl leer. Das Personal war nicht einladend und ich habe mich im Gebäude nicht sicher gefühlt. Ich empfehle dieses Hotel nicht weiter.
• Lars (10/5): Fint hotell nær Hauptbahnhof - Dette hotellet lå noen etasjer over gateplan med resepsjon og frokostsal. Betjeningen var ytterst profesjonell og vennlig, og rommet var upåklagelig rent - og ikke minst stort - spesielt hensyntatt prisnivået. Bare noen minutters gange fra den største jernbanestasjonen i Berlin var det lett å komme seg raskt til flyplassen.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - Das Personal am Empfang sagt nicht ein mal Hallo oder Tschüss. Das Handy ist wichtiger als die Kundschaft zu bedienen und eine Maske wird auch nicht getragen. Auf banale Fragen wird nur "ich bin nur Mitarbeiter" geantwortet. Das Frühstück kostet zwar nur 6 Euro, aber von einem kleinen Aufbackbrötchen wird man nicht satt. Die Tabletts werden von den Mitarbeiter verteilt und mehr bekommt man nicht pro Person. Dann kann man die 6 Euro lieber bei einem Bäcker ausgeben. Die Zimmer sind zwar alt aber sauber. Insgesamt ist es nicht empfehlenswert.

Musste mit Mantel, Schal und Handschuhe schlafen! Decke auf Zusatzbett mit frischen Flecken, auch auf Tisch ,ekelhaft! Empfang freundlich, Lage ideal.
• Olivia (10/5): Great value for money - Good location in the centre of Berlin, everywhere is in walking distance. Room was large and comfortable beds. Free tea and coffee all day and breakfast is included which was filling! Eggs, cheese, toast with different condiments and fresh juice. Really welcoming employees. Couldn't fault our stay for the price we paid. Would recommend to other budget travellers.

• Stellan (6/5): Smile & welcome! - Vi bodde 4 nätter (28-31.10) och allt var ok bortsett från att vi var tvungna att gå till receptionen för att få en glödlampa till en av sänglamporna (=inte kontrollerat av städpersonal vid klargöring av rummet). Nattreceptionisten (kvinnlig) bör öva sig i att säga välkommen, god kväll och att le. Detta fick vi inte del av. Kvällskaffen i reception var en höjdpunkt efter en heldag i Berlin tills man fick veta att kaffen gjordes kl 11.00 på förmiddagen!

Idéalement situé proche métro-bus - Gare principale de Berlin - Musée Histoire Naturelle Terrasse pour le petit déjeuner très agréable. Chambre spacieuse pour 2 adultes et un adolescent. Pas de climatisation et bonne insonorisation (proche urgence hôpital). Personnel agréable. Possibilité d'obtenir auprès de l'hôtel la carte de résident pour le stationnement (9 euros par jour).

• Verified traveler (8/5): Super Preis- Leistungsverhältnis - ich war für einen Termin in der Charite in Berlin. Deshalb war die Lage für mich ideal. Kurzer Weg zur Charite und auch zum Hauptbahnhof. Konnte alles zu Fuß erledigen. Würde das Hotel auch für einen Kurzurlaub buchen. Einziges Manko: die schlechte Tonqualität des Fernsehers.
• Mausi (2/5): Auf keinen Fall buchen! - Im Hotel arbeiten nur ausländische Mitbürger. Sie waren freundlich, aber ein Entgegenkommen NICHT möglich. (9 Tage vor Anreise gebucht, es wird jedoch auf einen Stornierungszeitraum von 14 Tagen beharrt!!!!) Das Hotel befindet sich in einem mehrstöckigen Haus (die oberen 2 Etagen), auf den Bildern sah es besser aus als vor Ort.

• Maxi (2/5): Overpriced for what you get - Not very friendly reception, and bed was extremely hard - I like a firm mattress, but this one hurt my back after a night or two. In terms of the overall experience, I think this is closer to a two star hotel than a three star hotel, and was extremely overpriced for the standard. I wouldn't book there again.

• Kristoffer (10/5): A good stay for anyone that can spare luxury - We picked this hotel because of its location and price. The hotel was a lot better than what we expected for the price and based on comments. The room (triple room) was quite large and comfortable, so was the bathroom. Not perfectly clean but nothing that put us off in any way. Breakfast was OK. The terrace between the breakfast room and reception was a nice place to hang out for breakfast and before going to bed after a long day of city exploring. The staff was very helpful and service minded. Will definitely stay at Nikon Eastgate again if we come back to Berlin.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Eher ein Hostel - Die Terrasse ist sehr nett. Sauberkeit und Personal ordentlich. Ausstattung dafür mager und alt. Sehr hellhörig. In der Kategorie Hostel sicherlich ein guter Aufenthalt. Hotel übertrieben.
• Renate (8/5): Gute 2 Nächte - Leider hat es furchtbar viel geregnet, doch dafür kann das Hotel nichts. Parken auf der Straße mit Hotel Plakette. Wir hatten Glück direkt vor der Haustür. Ein paar Kleinigkeiten sind zu verbessern, unser Bett hat bei jeder Bewegung geknarrt, die eine Lampe auf den Nachttisch ging nicht und wurde auch auf Aufforderung nicht gewechselt. Nur eine halbe Rolle Toilettenpapier für 2 Personen, auf Anfrage habe ich eine Ersatzrolle mitbekommen. Am Nachmittag als wir wieder kamen war das Bett gemacht, nur ein Kopfkissen vergessen. Alles in Allem ein schöner Aufenthalt mit toller Dachterrasse und sehr gutem Frühstück, super sauberes Zimmer und schönem modernen Bad. Wenn jetzt die Kaffeemaschine an der Rezeption noch funktioniert und das Personal einen Hauch aufmerksamer ist, ein tolles Hotel für einen Städtetrip
• Mario (6/5): Könnten mit wenig Aufwand mehr daraus machen - Das Hotel ist nicht schlecht gelegen. Bus fast vor der Haustür. Empfang etwas unpersönlich. Zimmerservice unmöglich. Wie man Betten macht und etwas sauber macht haben die leider keine Ahnung. Frühstück war ausreichend und die Terrasse schön. Es ist im Nachhinein nicht möglich Fotos einzufügen.

• Samuel (6/5): Caro de mal olor, poca limpieza y mal servicio. - El hotel estaba carísimo para la habitación que era. No es muy similar a las fotos, era una habitación horrible. Está bien decaido el lugar en comparación con las fotografías. Al llegar a la habitación por primera vez el lugar tenía un olor intolerable a tuberia averiada y al notificar esto los de servicio al cliente no hicieron ningun intento por hacernos ningun cambio que mejorara la situacion, sólo un sray de olor temporero y un cambio por una habitación de mitad del tamaño de la que teniamos. El desayuno fue lo único que valia la pena y un poco la localización ya que estaba cerca de la estación central. NO RECOMIENDO ESTE LUGAR.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Günstig gelegen, Hotel mit Charme - Hotel liegt sehr günstig, ist sauber und ruhig. Für €9 kann man einen Anwohner-Parkausweis für 24 Stunden erwerben. Im Sommer Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse. Frühstück sehr reichhaltig.
• Ingo (6/5): Einfach, aber ok. Schöne Dachterrasse - Es gab in Berlin eine Konferenz, an der ich teilnehmen wollte. Dafür brauchte ich ein Hotel. Das Tagungshotel war schon ausgebucht, und so nahm ich dieses hier. Es lag in der Nähe. Für mich ist dieses Hotel ein sehr einfaches. Man hat ein Bett, ein Bad und Frühstück. Alles war ok, aber auch nicht viel mehr als das. Es gab nichts zu Meckern, aber auch nichts zu loben. Ich fand allerdings den Preis dafür nicht angemessen. - Als Besonderheit würde ich die Dachterrasse bezeichnen, auf der man im Sommer sicherlich toll frühstücken kann. Wer sich vor dem Hotel mit dem Taxi absetzen lässt: Ja, das Hotel ist eigentlich nicht zu sehen. Man geht zu einem normalen Hauseingang mit vielen Klingelknöpfen, ein Summer lässt die Tür öffnen, man geht zum Fahrstuhl, fährt in den 5. Stock, und da tut sich das Hotel auf. Etwas ungewöhnlich.

• Fred (4/5): Not worth at price you pay - I stayed 3 nights in that hotel. My Room was very small and attic. 2 times I hit my head to the roof when I got up .Old and small furniture. Everything is in small size . With the room rate don't expect fancy breakfast it's simple but OK. If you get a room in that hotel reception is in fifth floor which I saw it for the first time .You could find better place at that price. If you don't have time to browse it's OK only advantage is not very far from Central Haupt Bahnhof.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Sehr gute Lage für kleins Geld! - Wer ein Hotelzimmer im Erdgeschoss erwartet wird enttäuscht, es liegt im 5. Stock dafür mit einem SUPER Ausblick. Da wir mit zwei Kleinkindern angereist sind war dies eine Überraschung, aber ein Aufzug ist vorhanden sowie sehr hilfsbereite Personen an der 24h Rezeption. Alles in allem ein tolles Angebot um mit der Familie unkompliziert und preiswert in Berlin unter zu kommen! GERNE WIEDER.

• Toke Koldborg (8/5): Mindre og uformelt hotel med udmærkede værelser - Mindre og uformelt hotel med udmærkede værelser og fin service. Sjov beliggenhed på 4. og 5. sal i en almindelig ejendom. Men ingen problemer med adgang. Betjent og venlig reception 24/7. God beliggenhed i forhold til hovedbanegården. Pigerne på 5 og 7 nød det også og sov fint sammen på en sovesofa.

• Oliver (4/5): 2* - I stayed here whilst my boyfriend was recovering in hospital. I chose this hotel because it was 500m away from the Charite hospital. If I needed to stay in Berlin for any other reason, I do not think I would have chosen this hotel. The room itself was reasonably sized. The curtain rails were not against the window so light could stream into the room. There was no air conditioning which made sleeping difficult as it was boiling in the room. Breakfast was decent.

• Ben (8/5): Small but great room - Great location in the downtown: walking distance from the Hauptbahnhof and to Brandenburger Tor. Room is small but perfectly adequate; very clean and everything you would expect was there. Included a very nice breakfast on a terrace overlooking a courtyard.

• Bernard (8/5): Reasonal choice for your stay. - This place is comfortable and breakfast is awesome. The emplyees are not so ready for your request and WIFI is barely usable and it depends on the room location.

• Alan (8/5): Good, economic room for business trip - I was looking for a cheap hotel near the station and natural history museum for 2 nights. This Hotel fitted the bill. Rooms were clean and compact, but absolutely fine for a couple of nights. It is 5 minutes from the station by tram and the U bahn is 3 minutes away. The hotel looks a bit dodgy from the outside and reception is on the 5th floor, which is a bit strange if you are not expecting it. However, once you get up there its great. ~there is a roof terrace and a breakfast room. I enjoyed my stay.
• Rach (8/5): Great location for transport, budget hotel - We stayed here for a few nights. To enter you must ring a buzzer and wait for the door to be opened, then travel up the 5th floor in a lift to reach reception. We did read complaints that sometimes you would have to wait a while for someone to open the door, but during our stay each time we rang the door was immediately opened. The staff we met were all polite. The room is basic, beds and bathroom. Tidied every day. Would have been nice to have tea/coffee in room. There is a large fan in the room we enjoyed as it was especially hot during our stay. The hotel is around a 1 minute walk to tram lines, subway and around 10min to the central train station (but you can even get the tram here, which stops almost right outside the hotel) It is a nice walk alongside the main road over the river. The breakfast had plenty of choice, lots of different types of teas, meats, cheeses, yoghurts, bread & rolls...there is even a microwave you can use. However there are wasps absolutely everywhere. Not the hotels fault, but I would advise you get to breakfast as early as possible as people tend to leave the plates off the food bowls later in the day and the wasps will end up swimming in your yoghurt/fruit salad. So definitely get there early if you want to avoid this! We heard they only come in August so perhaps we just had a bad month! Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

Room simple but clean and big bathroom. however breakfast area not cleared up quick enough and food and mess left on floor whilst the cleaners eat their breakfast. You have to work right through the mess. Overall though good for the money.

• Anja (6/5): Nice - It was a really great hotel for the price, but it was kind of hard to find especially with the construction in the area, a bigger sign or a sign on the main street would be helpful. But, it was really close to the haufbahnhof which was really great. Also, expedia says they allow dogs, but on the phone they cringed a bit and said that they didn't. Kind of a problem. They finally agreed they'd allow small dogs, but I have a german shepherd they said yes once I pointed out I was only staying for one night and would cover the floor with a sheet.
• Lala (8/5): - Good location, about a 10 minute walk from the main train station and a couple from the undergound transportation system. Was clean and had good breakfast with lots of variety. We were also able to store our bags there for the morning we left as our train didn't leave till the morning.
• Emma (10/5): Nice, central hotel for anyone - The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof. We found the staff to be really friendly and helpful. Our room was not massive but in a city like Berlin we were sightseeing all day and only in the hotel for sleeping and breakfast. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was always stocked with amazing meats, cheese and cereals. The hotel was full of different groups of people from couples to backpackers to families. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mikon Eastgate and would definitely recommend the hotel to others and possibly visit again.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Close to natural history museum in Berlin - Very convenient to the museum. Short distance to train station and many restaurants in the opposite direction. An older building with hotel at the top levels. A very basic room, clean and a good size, but very small bed. Bathroom was newer which is a plus. Includes wifi and breakfast, which was good enough to start the day. A good experience for the price.
• Pascal (10/5): A very nice Hotel in downtown Berlin - I had first difficulties to find the hotel, located in a side street. But the hotel location is very convenient: next to the Naturkundemuseum, a Untergrund station. And you can even go by foot to the Alexander Platz. The personal is very kind, and if you don't feel comfortable in german, they speak english. They propose breakfast, and if the weather is good, you can have breakfast on the open-air balcony located on the 5th floor. Next time I go to Berlin, I likely go down to this hotel, and advise you to do the same.
