Rooms were excellent, staff is amazing and location is the best! The breakfast each morning featured baked goods for very famous local bakery across street that had lines to get their sandwiches every day. We had no lines with amazing coffee and lots of treats! Rooftop bar is also great. Nothing - it was exactly what we had hoped for

Another big highlight was the ample breakfasts, much better than I've found in other 3-star hotels in Italy. The rooms are snug, but in the end that doesn't matter so much since you're in Rome.

I had a single room, so I knew it would be small, but it was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke English well. I highly recommend this hotel. The breakfast space was small, but they made the best use of the space.

Areas such as the Pantheon, Campo di Fiori, Largo Argentina is central to this hotel. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms were great - especially the shower - very modern and roomy. They helped with setting up a transfer from the port to the hotel and then again from the hotel to the airport. This made travelling a lot less stressful. They were very friendly with answering questions and kindly spoke English. The rooms were small but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a large variety of foods; eggs, bacon, potatoes, meats, cheese, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, pastries, coffee etc. And, there were so many cute shops, restaurants, and wine bars just steps away. The walk to the Trevi Fountain or Pantheon were 10 minutes, maybe. We also walked to the Colosseum and Trastevere without a problem. It is the perfect location. The bed was a bit firmer than my liking and the outside was a little noisy late at night but none of these concerns would keep me from booking again.

- Udi (8/5): A nice and pleasant place - A very nice place, within walking distance of some attractions (a 15–20 minute walk). The staff were very nice, and the breakfast was tasty. The parking was about 350 meters away, along stone roads, which made it quite far and uncomfortable for carrying suitcases. Prices are a bit high, but average for Rome
- Yafit (10/5): - I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel. Upon arrival, I was upgraded to a deluxe room free of charge. The receptionist was amazing and explained everything calmly and clearly. Even after check-out, I was still treated as an active guest — they kept my belongings safe, made sure I could rest in the lobby, offered me iced tea, helped me charge my phone, and even provided ice when I bought cheeses to take home with me. In terms of location, it’s right in the heart of the city, close to all the attractions, with an amazing and rich breakfast, and a wonderful rooftop that makes the stay even more enjoyable.

- Francisco (10/5): Totalmente recomendable - Increible en cuanto a calidad, atención y personalización. Trato excelente por el personal, y las habitaciones son de calidad, sin falta de detalles. También es excelente por ubicación, porque tienes cerca el Panteon, y está a mitad de camino del Vaticano al Coliseo. Cerca hay multitud de restaurantes, y lugares para visitar. Muy dificil indicar algo mejorable, porque realmente ha sido fantástico alojarnos allí 2 noches.

- Arman (10/5): Our stay at the Hotel Smeraldo exceeded our expectations! Our room was comfortable, offering nice views of the street. T - This was an amazing hotel; the staff was very kind and helpful, the rooms were clean and the rooftop offered a gorgeous view of Rome. But best of all, the location was superb! It was within walking distance from every site (ten minute walk from the pantheon and Trevi fountain, twenty from the colosseum) and was near many authentic cafes and restaurants. Despite being in the center of activity it was surprisingly quiet in the specific location, which was not a touristy area. The property was great!
- nixx1022 (10/5): Great time and amazing staff - My husband and I stayed at Hotel Smeraldo over Easter weekend for our honeymoon, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the front desk team totally set the tone. They were exceptionally warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming! They also made sure that our roses and prosecco added to our reservation, was met once we arrived and that level of care carried through the entire stay. I feel like every staff member we encountered went above and beyond and they were always friendly and helpful. It’s rare to come across a team so consistently thoughtful and kind. The location is great. Very central and convenient for exploring. Each morning, we looked forward to the hotel breakfast, which always felt fresh and delicious... a great start to our days. Like I said, the warmth of the staff was exceptional, and the overall atmosphere just made our honeymoon feel incredibly special. We left feeling so well taken care of and can't wait to come back someday. Thank you, Hotel Smeraldo Staff! P.S. Close to attractions and food - Location is near multiple attractions and made it easy to do some last minute exploration before returning to the airport. Front desk was very responsive and arranged an airport shuttle in the morning. Adjacent rooms were very noisy. Could hear phone conversations and chatting. The bathroom was dirty, especially the shower.
