The location is excellent. The U is half a block away, two Billas are nearby, and we enjoyed the nearby market, too. Communications with the owners were prompt and helpful. The apartment has a collection of Gustov’s work. Close to the canal and inner city. Will definitely book again for next visit.
• Tatiana (10/5): - The flat was absolutely perfect for our stay (4 nights) in a lovely quiet area full of shops, cafes and bars. 1min walk to thenearest tube station, about 15-20min walk tiSt. Stephen's Cathedrale. The flat was very clean with very good bathroom/tojlet. The kitchen was a bit dated, but fully equipped: cofee making machines, toaster, dishwasher, hob, oven, fridge. There was a washing mashin as well. Tablets for dishwasher and coffee machine provided. There were also the following in the flat: a hairdrier, shampoos/ shower gells, an iron, even an umbrella. The appartment we stayed in was spacious, warm and quiet. There was a balcony anf a lift. Check-in was very easy. Sonja sent us the instruction on how to get there from the airport, gave us a code and with the code we obtained a key frome a secure box by the entrance to the building. We really enjoyed our stay in Viena and the flat made it really special, we felt like at home. Thanks a lot.

For both, the location near the U-Bahn, is ideal and the apartment space provides options that a small hotel room just doesn’t. The operators are responsive and accommodating. The apartment has everything you need and close to the underground. Would recommended and definitely would stay again next time in vienna.
• Laura (10/5): - The underground is near Appartements Hermine. The apartment is a bit of a distance from the tourist sites so the underground is a necessity. There is an elevator but you do still have to walk up about 5-6 steps to the apartment. The apartment is very nice.

Mostly quiet neighborhood aside from a little noise from people enjoying the Donaukanal—which is also great to check out! You can just close the windows and it's all good. I was lucky to be there on the last true summer night and loved sipping cocktails and people-watching along the canal. Also a fairly quick walk to the Altstadt. Perfect!!

Pros: The apartment is spacious and has lots of amenities (washer, coffee, fridge, dishes etc. Walking distance to main city center (5 - 15 minutes depending on which bridge). Sonja was excellent at communicating all of the details and extremely accommodating! Cons: The main bedroom is a little small where the bed itself is and the pillows are not very comfortable. Also no air conditioning inside the bedroom or living room, so you may have to leave the window open. You do have to carry your luggage up or down a small set of stairs before getting to an elevator.

It really felt very decadent to have this whole beautiful apartment to ourselves. It was the perfect base to explore a beautiful, welcoming city.

The apartment is outside the centre of Vienna but in easy walking distance to the centre and there is a underground station 2 min away on U2 and U4 lines. It's a lovley apartment and very warm. We didn't do any cooking but it seemed to be well enough equipped.

Sonja kindly gave us instructions how to get there from the airport which made it very easy as U bahn station is yards away from the apartment. Slept well. There’s a local market near by that you can dine and buy fresh produce called “katmelitermarkt”, Spark supermarket and Bipa for all cosmetics products these are all in same area and closed to each other. If you are arriving on Sunday most of the stores are closed. I bough our own shampoo and body soap. The rest we that need are all in the apartment.

The Apartment manager is very responsible and helpful to provide directions for us on transportation and places to go. We enjoyed our stay very much and for sure will return again next time.
• Deana (10/5): - This apartment was great! You get quite a bit of space for the cost. There is a grocery store and a few restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The more touristy area is a 15 minute or so walk from the apartment location. A subway stop is just at the end of the street.

We had a problem with a fuse and the management were very helpful and responsive. Would recommend this anyone wishing to stay in Vienna.
• Stephen Robert (10/5): - Quick version--I'll go back to Vienna in a few years. When I do, I'll check to see if this property is available first. That's the best recommendation I can give. The apartment is in an older building but all the amenities are up to date. This makes the apartment feel homey and comfortable. The apartment has WiFi and air conditioning. Location is excellent. Schottenring U2 station is 50 meters from the door and you can get to the Schottenring U4 station on the other side of the canal by walking through the Underground station. There's a Billa grocery store within walking distance (less than 10 minutes) The landlords are wonderful. They're available by phone or text if you have questions. It's VERY important that you contact the landlord two days before you arrive. There's no check-in desk. There's a key kiosk at the front door. When you contact the landlord, they'll explain how the kiosk works. Once you get your key, you're steps away from your home in Vienna.

• STAVROULA (10/5): - If you visit Vienna... Search no more!!! This is the best place to stay without a doubt!!! I was searching for days and i found this gem! Big appartment, super clean, fully equipped, with a cute balcony and decoration that dives you into the Viennese vibe from the moment you open the door! Approx 10 minutes from the center and 1 minute to the subway! Supermarket is almost 5 min away! I am a frequent traveller and i am feel very confident to say that this is one of the best apartments i have ever stayed! Keep up the amazing work!

The decor and furniture are older, with traditional Viennese charm but all the appliances and windows and and such are new and in great condition. • Christine (6/5): Comfortable apartment - Check in was really easy even without a front desk. Owners very responsive to emails. The chocolates and bottle of wine with Christmas card on the table was a really nice welcome gesture. The location of this place was excellent - close to the train but also easy walking distance to the city. There were written instructions for the wifi, in the apartment, which was very helpful. On check out, we needed to store our luggage until late afternoon and a secure locked area in the building was made available for this purpose, which we appreciated hugely. The following issues were disappointing but could be easily fixed with better quality control. Two light bulbs not going, one over the table and one in the kitchen. The toaster didn't work. No instructions for using the washing machine Previous occupants rubbish still in the bathroom bin Dust bunnies behind the bedroom door Sink plug in the bathroom is broken Filter coffee machine was not that clean and there were no papers for it so we couldn't even make a coffee when we got there. (we left our filter papers there for the next guests). The bed linen is thin and shabby with the bottom of the duvet covers not being able to be closed. The pillows are very small and thin. Pretty much all of this could be easily fixed and attention to these details would have made a big difference to my review.

Location is great, especially with a subway station entrance literally steps away from the front door! The hostess was very helpful, organized and prompt to respond. The only reason I am giving some scores lower than Excellent is because bed linens seemed worn and ripped in places and blankets were short even for an average height person.

• Randall (8/5): Very nice stay for 5 days. - The flat itself was very nice and my host provided excellent information in making my stay very enjoyable. The proximity to the Metro line is outstanding! If you choose, a brisk 15 min walk along the waterfront and you're right in the thick of all the action at Stephanplatz. It's an old building that has gone through a major renovation. There was a bit of a funky musty smell in the corridors, but nothing in my flat. My flat could have used a bit better vacumming, but the hardwood floors helped keep my allergies in check. If you like to keep a window open, be aware that there is a major police station just across the waterway and you will be very fortunate not to here sirens, coming and going at all times. With the outside doors closed, you hear nothing.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - The apartment is beautifully furnished, very spacious and has everything you need (just no cooking basics in the kitchen like oil, there was salt but no pepper). Is very well positioned - near a small supermarket, restaurants & bars and the U-bahn. We were also allowed to check-in very early (after the NightJet before 11am), which was really handy. The only was that the mattress in the main bedroom was not very comfortable, if you don't like hard mattresses. It may just be that hard mattresses are fairly common in Austria as the place we stayed in after Vienna also had really hard mattresses.

• Calin (10/5): Everything was great - The apartment is very nice and comfortable. Well positioned, right next to the metro and you can walk to the city center as well. We were happy with the parking place just across the street (be prepared to pay using only coins :)
• Sonia (8/5): - The information to get into the apartment was clear. The apartment has a beautiful old decorations that fit the time. The size is comfortable with two bedrooms.
• Bill (10/5): Great stay - Great stay, comfortable apartment. We were happy to have the air conditioning. Not much in the neighbourhood but easy access to transit. Great communication from the owners.
• Heather (10/5): Incredible convenience at good price - Book this apartment! During our 30 days in Europe, this was our best stay. We look for economical accommodations. This place was great: big kitchen space that’s fully stocked; comfortable bed; private patio; and best of all, a washing machine. There is a subway station right out the door and a nearby grocery store.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay, walking distance from the cen - The apartment is well-equipped, larger than we expected and we felt very comfortable and safe there.
• Tim (8/5): - Great location. Lovely apartment. Was greeted with flowers on the table, two little chocolates and some sparkling water and orange juice in the fridge. Lovely thought. The only negative was that the bedroom is small and the bed was very uncomfortable. Also, it mentioned that there will be toiletries, but there was nothing. Overall, it was a nice place with a great location....close to the subway line.
• David (10/5): - The arrival instructions were super, they told us to go to end of subway station and exit almost at the front door of the apartment (At Schottenring station go to end of the U2 section, take the lift). They left printed instructions to go to the local supermarket (short walk) Nice little balcony. large living room / dining area. Small but well equipped kitchen but NO freezer with the refrigerator.
• Aurora (10/5): - My family stay in Appt. Hermine. It was so nice, very clean and spacious. Quite place. Near to the train station and we can walk to the city for 16 min. I highly recommend this place.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Full amenities; near the canal and center of town. - A really nice apartment hotel with almost all the amenities (no shampoo or conditioner). Very quiet street but very close to the Donau canal, where one can walk, have a meal right opposite the canal (even on beach chairs and sand!), or walk to the center of town about 10 minutes away. The subway is a 1 minute walk from the apartment. It's an old building (most are in Vienna) but the apartment is completely refurbished and modernized. The wifi is a bit iffy, but it does work (just move to a different room if it doesn't).
• Edward (8/5): Nice stay. Friendly, flexible owners. - Would recommend. Very flexible owners- allowed us to check in at 10.30 AM. Left water, chocolates, orange juice, coffee etc. Location excellent. Walk to 1st district. The house is being renovated but didnt really effect us. Only fault would be the mattress. Need to be changed.
• Daniele (10/5): - Amazing place and fabulous guest. The house is literally next to the underground and Sonja is one of the best guest you would think. Also very appreciated the warm welcome with the chocolates! More than suggested !!! If I will return to Vienna I will be back to Hermine aparments for sure.
• Denis (10/5): - Litterally one minute away from the U-bahn! Quiet neighborhood and very accomodating owners!
• Amylee (10/5): - Absolutely loved my stay here. Large apartment that is a short walk to old Vienna. There are plenty of restaurants near by. Having a washing machine was a huge bonus. I stayed in the Sophia which is located on the second floor and had 2 bedrooms. I would stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to Vienna.
