The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel had a fun atmosphere and was a great base for exploring Berlin. The spa facilities were unavailable during our stay due to maintenance, which was a little disappointing as it was one of the features we were looking forward to using.

It was not just a hotel, but a safe stop in a journey into my own soul. I had ordered many items from Amazon Germany and was nervous about bothering the hotel with so many packages. But when I arrived with my gay friends, Kevin welcomed us with such warmth, kindness, professionalism, and a smile in his eyes that I immediately felt relieved. He recognized me because of the packages, told me not to rush, and made everything so easy. I will never forget his friendship, helpfulness, and kindness. Kevin, my friend, you are my king. And don’t forget: you have a home in Istanbul now. You are always welcome. The hotel is right in the heart of the gay scene. The rooms were spacious, bright, clean, and comfortable. Housekeeping was very kind, and the security made me feel safe. Being surrounded by the community, meeting people from different countries, and feeling free without being trapped in apps felt incredibly real and beautiful. After years of hiding in the shadows, I felt radiant there. When I left, I cried. My heart stayed at Axel Hotel. At check-out, another incredibly sweet member of the team, Nereida, helped us at reception. We left our luggage at the hotel for a while and were able to go for breakfast with complete peace of mind. I want to thank her from here as well. I will never forget Nereida and Kevin for the rest of my life.

Hotellet ligger bredvid en väldigt högljudd väg. Luftkonditioneringen gjorde väldigt lite så det blev ganska varmt på rummet.

Al hotel le falta una actualización, en general bien, pero las habitaciones son muy básicas, hay un soporte para colgar ropa, pero queda a la vista, dando una imagen general de desorden. El baño es relativamente cómodo, pero su bañera y su diseño hacen que toda el agua salpique fuera durante la ducha. Este es un diseño bastante antiguo.

Das Hotel liegt an einer lauten Straße und die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht, sodass bei geschlossenen Fenstern sehr warme, schlechte Luft war.

- RAUL (7/5): Axel é tem um bom custo benefício mas sem luxo - O melhor do hotel é a localização. Perto do metrô, de bares gays e restaurantes. Do lado da KaDeWe. Cama confortável, quarto espaçoso! Staff simpático e gentil. O café da manhã é bem fraco. O buffet de comida é risível. Não tem onde aquecer o pão, frutas velhas e murchas. Mas tem um Bom capuccino e opções fartas de ovos e omelete no cardápio, sem custo e à vontade. SPA estava em reforma.

- Andreas (9/5): Fantastischer Aufenthalt im Queer-Kiez im Besonderen dank des tollen Personals! - Ich hatte einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt im Axel Hotel Berlin. Das Hotel liegt hervorragend mitten in Schöneberg, hat eine schöne Atmosphäre und ich habe mich dort wirklich wohlgefühlt. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich Kevin an der Rezeption. Er macht einen außergewöhnlich guten Job: sehr kompetent, professionell, freundlich, aufmerksam und empathisch. Genau solche Menschen machen einen Hotelaufenthalt besonders. Man fühlt sich nicht einfach nur abgefertigt, sondern wirklich willkommen. Auch das übrige Personal, insbesondere das Housekeeping, war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und angenehm. Das trägt sehr zu der positiven Atmosphäre im Hotel bei. Kevin ist aus meiner Sicht ein echter Gewinn für das Axel Hotel Berlin. Ich würde mich sehr freuen, ihn auch bei zukünftigen Aufenthalten dort wiederzusehen. Etwas mehr Klimaanlage wäre schön. Ansonsten gibt es wirklich nichts zu bemängeln.

- Bogdan (6/5): Für dieses Geld kann man in der Nähe definitiv ein besseres Hotel finden. - Das Personal (immer freundlich und versuchen zu helfen) und die Lage Das Zimmer ist für diesen Preis zu klein, zu dunkel und die Einrichtung ist bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Zudem war bei mir durchgehend ein lautes Geräusch von fliessendem Wasser zu hören – Tag und Nacht, als würde jemand im Zimmer laut duschen. Der Techniker erklärte, dies liege an der Klimaanlage (im März?), die Leitungen seien offenbar veraltet.

- Dominik (8/5): In overall nice, cozy, place. - Perfect location, friendly front of house staff, good quality for money paid, clean, comfortable, quiet. Interesting lay out and that includes rooms. Definitely breakfast took two points away. First day the waitress forgot about our order, waiting times were long regardless there were only 4 people inside. The second day the breakfast wasn't really ready at 7:20 (it should start at 7). The selection of food items was low, not a great choices either. Ordering coffee was a nightmare. Being a coffee person having a second cup half the size of the first a bit strange (the first cup was just the size of a medium in any coffee shop in the city), the signs saying what's available tiny, difficult to read, helping portions were small, after one or two people taking what they wanted the staf had to do refill of milk for example, no fruit salad although single (!!) fruits available to chose between apple and a small bunch of grapes, no fruit salad like in many other tourist level hotels. Definitely breakfast was the weakest link.
- Di (10/5): - I arrived at the hotel quite late—after 10 p.m.—due to work delays. The service was exceptionally attentive, and the check-in process went very smoothly. It was completely different from my past experiences in Berlin hotels, where long waits at reception could be quite frustrating. The staff member on duty, Kevin, was extremely polite, highly service-oriented, and very perceptive. He handled everything with professionalism and confidence—his knowledge and responsiveness were on par with a lobby manager. Despite it being late, he kindly upgraded me to a junior suite when availability allowed. The next morning, he was still on duty when I checked out.
