Guest Reviews
- Edward (8/5): Exactly what I wanted and expected - Ño breakfast
Location what I wanted Nothiñg
- Greyam (5/5): Manageable - No breakfast Duvet smelling of urine
- Polak (10/5): - The bed was very comfortable and I slept really well at the property.
I also appreciated having proper hot water - in some places I’ve stayed before it’s only lukewarm, so it was great that it came through quickly and was properly hot.
I also liked that there were clear instructions on the wall explaining how to use the shower, which made everything really easy. The only thing I didn't like is that the communal stairs aren't very clean. But the room was very clean.
- Cilla (4/5): Ok but a bit more basic than expected and noisy. - Excellent central location - room was very close to the tube so pretty noisy. Shower not clean, loo seat very loose.
- Dereje (10/5): - Clean N/A
- mohammad (1/5): No coment - Noting Noting
- Simon (8/5): - Very handy for Turnham Green tube station. Very friendly staff. Bed comfy! It was a little expensive for the size of room but then again it was marathon weekend in London. Bring earplugs because you’re very close to the underground line.
- Stephen (7/5): - Nice and clean, friendly staff and great location. Slightly noisy from the tube lines, but as expected when staying next to the station.
- Jan (6/5): Good value for the location. Quite basic but friendly staff. - Very friendly reception staff. Great location. Good tv and wifi.

- N D (1/5): - I had a very unpleasant experience staying at this property. The place was infested with cockroaches and there were bugs everywhere, which made it extremely uncomfortable and unhygienic. I was travelling with a baby, so this was especially concerning and unacceptable.
Cleanliness is the most basic expectation, and unfortunately this property failed badly. We could not relax at all during the stay and were constantly worried about the environment around us.
I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone, especially families with young children. Serious improvements in cleanliness and pest control are urgently needed. - Samantha (4/5): Hotel is in a good location near the High Street. The bed was comfortable. Was a shame to be disturbed by noisy guests - Shower was good, plenty of room and nice & hot.
Staff were helpful. The noise of the underground trains going past the window.
Being woke at 3am by someone banging on the door & ringing the bell constantly.
The smell of cannabis.
Staff do not speak good English .
- Luke (1/5): Cigaret smoke in the room from staff below. Dirty. Avoid - Smoking. Everyone smokes in the building The smell, There was cigarette smoke filling my room. The train station is directly opposite the window, you cannot open the window to get fresh air.
- Sarah (6/5): Good ,basic hotel for price - Very cheap for location. Basic but clean hotel. Friendly staff. Could have had more pillows. Radiator too warm.

- Maria de los Angeles (1/5): No lo recomendaria - Cerca del metro, literal 1m pero a la vez puede oirlo desde la habitacion asi que muy mal. No se puede descansar. -poca limpieza
-habitacion enana
- baño enano y sucio
-ventanas sucias y rotas
-Se podia oir el metro
-Paredes finisimas
- Kevan (8/5): Polite staff, good location, parking close by in residential streets at a price - I found the location of the hotel excellently located right next door to the underground. Staff were all very friendly and polite. Great value for money.
- Gillian (6/5): -
- Dave (1/5): -
- George (1/5): Never want to experience something as bad as this ever again. - Location is great. Only positive. Everything else. Its not fit to be advertised on booking.com.
Reception was a gentlemen that had no idea who we were. Did not communicate with words, just mumbles.
Room was vile. It was like the carpet hadn't been hoovered in 20 years. Bits everywhere. Thick layers of dust on all light fittings, including the one right above your head.
The 'towel' that was provided was folded nicely on the bed but covered in dirty marks. Everything was hanging off the walls.
Toilet was horrible. Bits falling off the undersink cupboard.
The tap was absolutely disgusting. Stained, covered in limescale. First time I turned it on some mould came off where the water came out and went straight into the sink.
Shower was vile, oily/fatty residue and mould.
Had no other choice but to stay as had no way home until the next day. Which I spent double the price on a room where I didnt have to sleep fully clothed with my jacket as a pillow....it was thicker than the pancake that was provided.
Only stay here if youre desperate...
- Patrick (4/5): -
- Sam (3/5): You get what you pay for - Location Damp , to didn’t work . Staff rude said I had no booking
- Jacek (5/5): Disappointed - Location Very tired and dirty. Needs a lot of attention
- Jean-Baptiste (2/5): Mauvais - Sale, vétuste, bruyant, non accueillant
- Denis (6/5): Cheap and cheerful in a handy location. Staff is a disgrace. - It's next to the train station so handy for a weekend stay. Beds were comfy and the show was fine for the price. Room was very tight and the overall room should be cleaner. The staff is abysmal the guy working there sleeps in a bunk bed at the back of reception and had to be woken up to leave us in and also to give me a towel.
- Rupert A (10/5): -
- paul (7/5): - Just ok Sink behind toilet.
- Kopicinskij (8/5): - Gud Not gut
- Dave (1/5): I wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me - Nothing .. though Chiswick is lovely So when you choose a budget hotel, you expect some quirky elements. However, there was an extra bed in my room which meant the door would not open properly ( the guy on the desk proceeded to push the beds at an angle so I could get in). The TV didn’t work and took over a day of bringing up a load of old controllers and rubbing the batteries until one.. a day later suddenly worked). The draws were full of old sugar and hair ( which the chap sprayed with something and then wiped up with an old pillow case). The blankets had cigarette burns and the sink didn’t drain well. To top it off, I had one night of a guy banging on the wall, one night of drilling.. engineering works on the tube line next door and finally I left on the last night after another resident was shouting abusive language and becoming aggressive as someone on the phone was going to call the police.
- Honor (9/5): Exactly what I planned. - The owner dropped my property a cross I left in the room to a nearby friend to be returned.
- Donal (6/5): - Convenient, excellent value, clean, simple, badic, no fuss. Miniature bathroom.... Just a little tight but fully functional and clean.
- Malik (1/5): -
- Bhogdev (9/5): -
- Gianluca (10/5): -
- Richard (5/5): Cheap and cheerful but could be improved with some careful maintenance work - Quick and easy to book.
Bed was a good size and was comfortable.
Location is good - right next to tube station.
Price very cheap for London but you get what you pay for. One of the electrical wall sockets do not work properly - seemed like a wire was loose. Extractor fan in bathroom not functioning and one of the lights was not working.
One of the main lights in the bedroom did not work.
Windows not double glazed properly. One of the sliding secondary glazing windows was missing.
Nowhere to hang up clothes - a few coat hooks would work. Don't need a wardrobe but you could not fit it in the room anyway!
- Edna (2/5): Tiring, difficult and on top of that, for some reason, I caught an eye infection during my reduced s - The only thing that worked was that Hussein, the young receptionist was kind an helpful. The place cannot be called a hotel. It is very well located, but it is sadly dirty. A total and completely refurbishment. I feel sorry for the owners. It must be very expensive to keep a place in Chiswick, but calling it a hotel is a huge overstatement.
- Julie (8/5): - So, back where we started on our 1st visit, room 10 and we like this room the best , it seems more recently decorated than the others . Bedding and towels spotlessly clean although the duvet has seen better days. Shower good pressure and hot water when need. Literally 2 mins walk from Turnham Green Tube station and in walking distance of Chiswick High Street, where there's loads of shops and eateries for all budgets Room 10 isn't in need of a ' deep clean" like the other rooms we've been in, but some areas are starting to show mould forming in the bathroom
Bathroom sink didn't have good pressure and the under sink cupboard could do with a clean and a lick of paint- maybe could look at moving the shelves in the corner to avoid anyone banging their heads
- Sylwia (8/5): Good for a short stay - Close to the tube station (less than 3 min walk away). Warm room. Comfortable beds. A lot of stairs. No wardrobe in the room, bags needed to be kept on the floor. I wish there would be a hairdryer in the room.
- Inkesar Ali Mudassir (4/5): -
- Christopher (5/5): Cheaty Hotel - The hotels location was good BUTright next to Turnham Green Station SO train noise / RUMBLING VERY NEAR ! I booked to attend a reunion at a pub in Chiswick but erroneously booked 3 nights by mistake
The NEXT DAY I tried to cancel one of the nights but was not allowed to.
The week before my hotel stay the reunion was cancelled due to a TUBE STRIKE but I still couldn't cancel. While driving I was rung several times by the hotel to see if I was going to bother turning up. It's was clear they hoped to RE RENT MY ROOM !
- Chris (6/5): War ok - Hmm Sehr einfach
- Robert (1/5): -
- Mair (4/5): Cheap and cheerful 😞 - Not a great deal . Rooms very basic but bed comfortable. Tube trains and traffic .Hotel next to Tube Station
- DEAN (5/5): Great location, dreadful customer service - Location is very good. In a nice area, and next to a tube station. The person on reception had zero customer skills. Very abrupt, no warmth whatsoever.

- Julie (6/5): - Location, price- bedding and pillows comfortable- although could do with 2 pillows. Bedding and towels clean , room 6 surface clean ( could do with a deep clean Nothing to overly dislike- it is what it is and does us for a couple of days
- Horse moloney (5/5): -
- Ulrike (7/5): Budget hotel for basic needs in central location. Clean. Comfortable bed. Good value for money. - A budget hotel for basic needs in central location. Good value for money. Noise from passing trains.
- Debbie (2/5): -
- Tracey (3/5): Terrible . The worst. Booking.com should stop having them in their site. - It’s in Chiswick. Clean shower and toilet. Clean linen. It’s representative of an owner who doesn’t give a damn about their guest’s comfort and just grabs as much money as possible . The good reviews must be fake. My bedroom window could not be closed and staff did nothing to fix it , so I had to listen to trains going past every 2 minutes for my entire stay. No sleep. The staff were part time ‘managers ‘ who seemed to know nothing about customer service although the young man I dealt with was well meaning. No English made it very difficult to communicate with. There was dust and dirt on all surfaces and the carpet on the stairs was clearly never vacuumed. There was a smell of smoke in the passageway every day. Even though the hotel is aimed at guests requiring budget accommodation, this place is a complete rip off . Disgusting for £72 a night. I want my money back!!
- May (6/5): Below average - last minute booking - It’s just basic if you need somewhere to stay for the night. Bed was comfy for me but my partner felt otherwise. The room was quite dusty and the windows / windowsill could do with a proper clean (the whole room including bathroom too). The door keys can be a little dodgy. They do provide towels and your basic, tea, coffee, sugar and milk sachets. This comes with some mugs, no spoons or stirrers and, I wouldn’t recommend using the kettle, I had a feeling before I opened it that I wasn’t going to use it. It BADLY needs descaling, the water that was still inside, was cloudy and white. If you just need a bed for the night, last minute, then it’s fine. But apart from that it was below average.
- Ssan (2/5): - The price Small shower
Small room
- sonia (10/5): -
- Lee (5/5): Room, price and location perfect. Staff need customer service training. - Location and price The check in staff was very rude. Acted like I was a nuisance rather than a paying customer
- Jaspreet (1/5): -
- Adam (1/5): Will never go again. - Unfortunately, nothing. Where do I start… firstly, no entry to the hotel which you’d expect and I had to call two phone numbers to speak to staff who were clearly not on location.
Additionally, the standard of the room was the poorest I have ever seen in my entire life. Hair all over the bed, exposed wires, dirty en suite with broken fittings, extremely dirty window & dust all over the lamps and surfaces. There was only one towel despite two people named for the booking. It was that bad we decided to stay elsewhere. Upon arrival back at the hotel there was no one around to even explain our decision to leave, we left angry and frustrated that a central london hotel of this standard is even advertised on booking.com
- moustafa (9/5): -
- Brian (4/5): -
- James (2/5): Uncomfortable. Sleep deprived. - Clean sheets. Friendly staff. Curtain too short and let lights in. Carpet dirty. Noisy. Airless. Stuffy.
- Ariadna (10/5): Un lloc econòmic literalment al costat del metro de Londres i molt a prop de Heathrow T4 - Molt a prop del metro i de botigues i restaurants És un lloc molt senzill
- Rita (5/5): Passable - Clean bed linen The place falling apart. There's a lot of disrepair.
- Angel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sasa (1/5): Bad -
- Talha (4/5): - I was not there i booked and due to some reasons i have arranged to go out of london i tried to cancell my booking but non refundable cancellation is not allowed how the bad service is this seriously in london city area hotels are like that bad experience.
- Dimperio (4/5): Disappointing -
- Meena (2/5): - Awful service hot and dirty:. Checked in and literally left my room card within 15 minutes at reception to leave as couldn't even handle checking out
- Julie (6/5): 3rd visit - Location, price,
Our 3rd stay here and 3rd different room ( room 7), as we found before, this room had clean bedding and towels and was surface clean but could do with a deep clean and some maintenance carried out.
Couple of issues raised with staff which will hopefully be dealt with before the room is occupied again. Nothing really to dislike as we know the hotel and choose to go back there
- Fiona (4/5): - Wouldn’t stay again , bad condition!
- Raimondo (7/5): Good -
- Shola (8/5): Very good - The room was nice I would have like it a bit bigger It's was too small
- Paulo (5/5): A part of location, pretty bad. - Location Smelly, stairs, tv not working, noise.
- Stephen (8/5): - Room was clean bed was comfortable
Tea and coffee was provided trains were moisy. But overall good value for50 pound would come again
- Miguel (6/5): - The towels had a weird smell to them, and the room was not really taken care of. The area around it was probably the best thing about this place, right next to Turnham station, easy to get access to all over London
- Dan (3/5): No shower. - Good price. Great location, right next to Turnham Green tube. Could have been perfect. All I want from a hotel / B&B is a clean bed, a clean bathroom, and a hot shower. Anything else is a bonus but you HAVE to get these 3 right or why bother? The shower was literally a dribble of hot water. No more than a tiny dribble. Like pouring from a toy teapot. What is the point of this? It's the worst possible start to a day. Whatever else they might have done, not having a hot shower in the morning is the ONLY THING I will remember about this place. So be warned. They just don't check this stuff. Obviously they aren't interested.
- Helen (6/5): I’ll definitely is the lodge again - The price is perfect For the price everything was reasonable
- Karandeep (1/5): Bad - Nothing Very uncomfortable and noisy
- Raushan (1/5): I think I pay £50 for nothing , I didn’t use the room , please I want my money back - I didn’t like at all , the entrance is a hiden area , I had to call the door and someone told me to wait 2 minutes “ were 5 minutes” and other “ 2 “ minutes. ,when they open de door the room was not ready and they ask me to wait another “5” minutes , my impression was bad and I left that place , I didn’t use that room , I want my money back please Terrible the service, I didn’t use the room , I left , please I need my money back
- Zakariya (1/5): Bad -
- Julie (8/5): Very good - Cheap, near tube- so easy access to the rest of London, but of course it makes for disturbed nights for light sleepers( OH slept through both nights). comfortable bed small double room but adequate for a couple of nights.
Bathroom could do with a bit of a deeper clean as mould spots starting to appear in tilr grout and on shower doorson the base- ( room 2). Curtains could do with being a bit bigger and thicker to block the light out more.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Sean (1/5): Bad -
- Harry (7/5): Clean tidy and comfortable - Comfy bed, clean shower and toilet. Nothing, it was perfect for what we needed, if you don’t like the sound of trains then it’s not for you but I actually really like it
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Sherry (3/5): Hated it because the guests besides room 8 was arguing, smashing stuff in the room Saturday night. - The room didn’t had a pleasant smell . Two used toilet rolls was in the bathroom.
- Hameed (2/5): Worst night stay - Awful disturbing night finally came to an end. Was hoping for some rest before exam but sadly was the worst ever experience. Wouldn't recommend it
- Philip (9/5): Great budget stay in Chiswick - Better than i expected! Room was great, clean and warm, with kettle, TV, en-suite. No lifts but ok for me. Location was AMAZING! Literally next door to Tube entrance. Right opposite cute park and surrounded by gorgeous cafes, restaurants and shops. On street parking across the road, up to 4 hours paid parking. Room was a great price too I am a heavy sleeper but the trains did wake me a couple of times but next time i'll bring ear plugs!
- David (7/5): Good -
- Andy (6/5): Pleasant -
- Andy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (4/5): Extremely basic, good location - This is a very cheap hotel in an excellent location. The rooms are basic and functional, there is no level of comfort. I called to reception to ask about heating on the second night and they said they would send someone up. They didn't - and I had to sleep in my coat as it was so cold and drafty. There was an amenities tray with tea bags, not refreshed after the first day I used it. Bed linen is sheets and a thicker cover over the top, not a duvet. The location is super convenient for Turnham Green tube, and Chiswick High Road. Staff not visible at any time, reception unmanned. If you want a cheap basic room, it will be fine.
- Eric (9/5): Superb -
- Bonnie (8/5): Had a great time - I didn't eat breakfast.
The room were very clean.
The bathroom also it was clean. The waiting outside.
