- 411wadihb (2/5): Horrible experience. - Hotel experience is 2-star at most. Staff does not provide you with all the information when booking, you end up shocked by service multiple times. You are provided with a "free room upgrade" just to find out that you are placed in a room which minimizes work for the staff, even on your expense. We were placed in a room on the 2nd floor with no elevator and 3 kids to drag up the stairs. Buggy waiting time is horrendous. You spend 30% of your stay waiting to be transported across the hotel. All inclusive package is extremely limited, nothing on the package is worth drinking, food in restaurants runs out, and when you ask the restaurant staff to prepare more, they respond with laughing at your request. I asked for my room to be cleaned at 9 am. At 5 pm, still not cleaned. Hotel accommodates drunk adults in kids pools, shouting and screaming with no concern to other visitors.

Amer on reception was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Ahmed, Walli and Godson at the Club Members Beach bar were all excellent, our sun beds were always ready when we arrived and they knew what we were drinking and kept us supplied. The food at the beach was delicious. We ate at the Basilico restaurant every evening, the service was great and all the staff were super friendly. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. The room was cleaned every day and mini bar restocked daily. Spoke to the manager Mr Garcia who was always had time for a friendly chat and to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return later in the year.
- Veryan1966 (2/5): Dreadful - The staff are absolutely amazing and very hard working. This is great but their hard work cannot make up for the dated appearance of the hotel, rooms and facilities. Our room was awful, linen was very worn and looked grey! The bed and other furniture was very old. The pool area is very poor with loungers which look and feel very tired. All the community bars were soulless. The marketing pictures are quite misleading, don’t be fooled if you want a nice experience.

- C6885LCdano (10/5): Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable holiday with a few areas that could be improved but we would definitely return. - We are currently staying at The Cove Rotana Resort, and overall it has been a lovely week for my husband and me. The resort itself is beautiful, with easy access to the beach. It has a village like feel rather than a busy hotel complex and is very relaxed. The swimming pool area is particularly peaceful, with extremely comfortable loungers, making it a perfect place to relax. A thoughtful touch is the small red bags provided to hang from your parasol, which signal to spa and water sports staff that you prefer not to be disturbed — a great idea for those wanting complete relaxation. The buffet restaurant offers delicious food, although it can feel quite manic and busy at times. There is also an à la carte restaurant that can be booked, and if you are on the All Inclusive package you receive a 55 AED allowance per person. The food there is nice; however, on one occasion we had to wait around 30 minutes before being offered a drink, despite having a 7:30pm reservation and the restaurant not appearing particularly busy. We are returning again tonight and hope for a smoother experience. My husband had two massages during our stay, both of which he thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately, my experience in the spa was disappointing. I had booked a relaxing facial, but instead of being treated in the spa area, I was taken to the hairdresser’s section and seated in a barber’s chair, where threading was almost started — something I neither expected nor wanted. I was then moved to a treatment room where steam from a machine was directed at one side of my face, becoming increasingly hot and uncomfortable. Combined with the noise from the hair salon next door — chatting, laughter, and clippers — it was far from the relaxing experience I had anticipated. Although I was refunded, I was disappointed not to receive the calming treatment I look forward to on holiday. The resort is very clean throughout. The rooms are quite basic compared to other places we have stayed in Ras Al Khaimah, but comfortable enough. While it has been ideal for a peaceful break as a couple, I don’t feel there would be quite enough to keep our two late-teen children entertained for a full week. All staff have been polite and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable holiday with a few areas that could be improved but we would definitely return.

- Traveler215980 (8/5): Lovely stay during the winter - We stayed at the resort for 12 nights. We booked the Ultra-All-Inclusive-Package („Club Member“). Originally, we booked a room with Laguna View. On the arrival, we had the possibility to change into another room in Cluster 9 which was quite closer to the Kids Pools and Kids Club. Since we were traveling with our child we agreed - thinking it will be a good idea. Unfortunately those rooms are situated near to the main road and therefore quite noisy, especially at night. Nevertheless the hotel offered us a solution so that we could moved a quiteter part in the hotel (Cluster 4 with Laguna/Sea View). I still am absolutely grateful for this! Each employee of the Club Member Reception has always been helpful and professional. The first room in Cluster 9 was very spacious as it is preferred to families with children. The second room in Cluster 4 was smaller but still had enough space for the three of us. The interior was beautiful with „arabic“ style and cozy atmosphere. We had a balcony, which was also nice to have. The housekeeping was friendly and professional. The whole resort area is beautiful and has an unique architecture of the bungalows and villas. We recommand to book the upgrade to „Club Member“ as there are several profits. One of the best things for us was the private beach area. Nice beach chairs, hammocks and Bali beds are available. There are plenty of options for food. The main restaurant „Cinnamon“ can be used by every guest for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have only been there two times (once for breakfast and once for dinner). Unfortunately, we did not like it very much as it was absolutely crowded and a bit chaotic. For the rest of our vacation we went to the À-la-carte Restaurant „Basilico“ for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is included for Club Members. The food in the Restaurant „Basilico“ was always delicious. The breakfast at „Basilico“ was smaller compared to the „Cinnamon“, but offered a fine selection. On our last day they launched a new breakfast concept which is quite fancier and stylisher than before. But it was already delicious and nicely arranged before 🙂 besides, we enjoyed the calmness in the morning because most of the time we were alone at breakfast. One point of „criticism“ would be the fact that the majority (80 %?) of guests is from russian decent. A more homogeneous distribution of nationalities would be nicer. In conclusion: it is a beautiful hotel and we would recommend the upgrade.

Dheeraj & all staff at Breeze: Each year we’ve returned, Dheeraj has given his all to ensure our family has a great time. His skill at the bar is matched only by his warmth and attentiveness, making evenings at Breeze enjoyable and memorable. He embodies consistency, passion, and genuine care, which enhance every stay and make him invaluable to The Cove experience. Anjali was the first person to welcome us on our initial stay, and her warmth set the tone for everything that followed. She has always been amazing, wearing a smile and providing top-notch service that makes every arrival and departure feel easy. Her consistency and genuine care are part of why we return year after year; she represents the hospitality that makes The Cove Rotana feel like home. Rossel was fantastic from start to finish. All the staff are friendly and welcoming even the drivers of the little buggies that ferry you around have a chat and a smile. I recommend the all you can eat brunch ( with or without alcohol) the selection is amazing and also the seafood beach barbeque loads of choice. There are bars and pools scattered all around, we found the breeze bar particularly relaxing. All in all a great stay and we will be back. Special thanks to Arthur who made it all possible. We paid to upgrade our room on arrival but it’s small and basic for a 4 star hotel. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, even once a mattress topper has been added. This is only our second night and I’ve been awake most of it! The food is okay, although kids options are limited and the add ons to the all inclusive are expensive. The pool is meant to be heated but it’s very cold for the kids - however this may just be because the past few days were windy

And I'd like to point out that the hotel is ideal for a family vacation: it has several heated pools with wonderful views, a beautiful beach, excellent entertainment, a water park, and very attentive staff. I'd also like to highlight the people I've been seeing for years, who are incredibly attentive to any guest requests and needs: the reception staff - Rossel, Anjali and their manager - Ibrahim), the hostesses and restaurant supervisors - Pallavi, Soe, Karim, Tinu, and the animation team - Joel, Ashan, Abdul, who do everything they can to make the time fly by. If you're looking for a place to truly unwind, this hotel is perfect and I do recommed it! P.S. To the hotel management: there's one drawback I mentioned when I was at the hotel that needs to be addressed. Please note that the main guests have always been and will always be families and non-smokers. However, I'm surprised that the hotel management places ashtrays everywhere, by all the pools and on the beach. There's nowhere to hide from the smoke. Smoke billows around the pools during calm periods, and children are swimming and coughing—this is not normal and has an extremely negative impact on the image of a 5-star hotel. I ask you to consider the majority, not the minority. Eliminate the possibility of smoking anywhere, and create separate areas - for smokers only and for all the people to feel comfortable. This is the only, but significant, drawback!

- WorldTravellers021 (8/5): A truly lovely Arabian complex. - I would like to have given 5 stars but one thing fell short of expectations. I have written, separately, to Klaus Reinwand, General Manager about this matter. On the plus side the location is perfect as is the resort which is huge. So big that you get transported around by hailing or booking a buggy. There is a steep climb down or back from beach and Laguna Pool. The food was excellent. A huge choice at every meal and plentiful. All the staff in the restaurants, bars, pool and beach are lovely people and always eager to please. We would like to mention Karen, Maskana, Pallavi and Sohini from the Cinnamon Restaurant. Lovely smiling people as were the rest of the hardworking staff. Also Nesma the beauty therapist who had a quick morning chat and smile with us around the pool. Finally Shahajad our lovely room cleaner who did an excellent job each day. So the one reason for dropping a star is the attitude of a couple of Receptionists. First on checking in, no smile or welcome to the Resort. Just told you can’t have room entry until 3.00 pm. Here is a tip - if you get the overnight flight and arrive in Dubai at 0900 you have a long wait until 3.00 pm in warm winter clothes because all your luggage is taken immediately as you alight your transfer vehicle. We had put light t-shirts in the cabin case to change into, but no good. Next they say help yourself to coffee while waiting but no milk…… you get the drift! The issue I had with one particular young female receptionist, who was just plain bored and unhelpful, has been taken up with the management. It is NOT what you expect from a 5 star establishment. We chose the Rotana after narrowing down to 3 of some of the many 5 star hotels in RAK. Unless they get things right people won’t return with the many 5 star competitors they have in the area. It is a shame because the place is genuinely worthy of 5 stars but not from us on this occasion.

It's quite stupendous. 6 year old had a blast with very good waterslides (no waiting or queues, one goes 3 stories up). Food at cinnamon restaurant is not particularly impressive. Worth getting the club lounge membership or an all inclusive. Generally great place for families and young ones, we had some trouble with our room but matter was resolved fast thanks to Mr Salah and Mr Anthony - recommended
