- Rhym (2/5): Décevant - L emplacement Très déçus par notre séjour. La piscine, qui était un critère important dans notre choix de réservation, est restée fermée toute la semaine. On nous avait indiqué qu’elle devait rouvrir le week-end, mais finalement on nous a parlé d’un incident et d’un manque de communication. Au final, nous nous sommes aperçus vers 18h qu’elle avait en réalité été ouverte, ce qui a renforcé notre frustration face au manque d’informations claires. En plus de cela, il y avait beaucoup de travaux dans l’hôtel avec des nuisances sonores importantes, ce qui a impacté le confort du séjour. Dommage, car cela ne correspondait pas du tout à l’expérience attendue.
- mark3ym4rk (10/5): Great stay before cruise - Stayed at the W the night before a cruise and I have to say it was amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and nice and were so kind. When I shared at check in I was taking a cruise the immediately gave me a late check out so I didn't have to rush are leave the room early. They are doing work on the outside of the building but the product inside is still great.

- FPC911 (6/5): Pictures on the website are nicer than the real thing - I burned 73,000 points to stay one night at this hotel so I had very high expectations! To be perfectly honest it was just OK. All of the pictures on their website give the impression that you will get a water view. That is NOT the case. Even though I asked for a water view I was given a city view and when I asked why, they told me it’s because I was using points so thats all I could get. Disappointing! The rooftop pool was very nice but only open on weekends because closed the buildings surrounding this location (and I believe this location itself) all seem to be under construction. It’s an eye sore honestly. I requested an early check-in as we had just gotten off a cruise ship and wanted to relax and settle in.. arrived at 10:30am, and despite being a Gold Elite member, we didn’t get a room until after 1 PM. I understand check-in is 4 PM but I had hoped they’d do. The room was nice, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Thankfully, we were on a higher floor because the noise from the road below made going on the balcony unbearable. Lots of honking and revving engines. With the door closed we didn’t hear a lot of noise being up that high so I would advise against getting a lower floor. We had a lovely meal at the on site restaurant and the food and service was terrific, so that’s one good thing I can say. For the cost I should’ve stayed at the JW.
- wellsu2026 (2/5): Confirmed Suite, Zero Accountability - Absolutely unacceptable. We booked a suite at the W Hotel Miami well in advance and received full confirmation for the room. After traveling to the hotel, excited for what was supposed to be a premium stay, we were told at check-in that the suite we had booked and confirmed was not actually available. No prior notice. No courtesy call or email. Just a shrug at the front desk. When we asked to be placed in a comparable room, the staff told us we would need to book online. Let that sink in. We were standing in the lobby of the hotel, confirmed reservation in hand, and the front desk staff directed us to go book a room on the internet. At a luxury hotel. That we had already booked. No upgrade was offered. No effort was made to find an alternative. No manager stepped in to make things right. The front desk staff were dismissive, unhelpful, and frankly rude. There was zero sense of urgency or accountability for their mistake. We were treated like an inconvenience rather than guests who had paid for a high-end suite. This is not a budget motel. This is a W Hotel. The entire brand is built on the promise of a stylish, elevated experience. What we got instead was a masterclass in how to lose loyal customers. If you cannot honor a confirmed reservation for a suite, the absolute bare minimum is to resolve the situation on the spot with professionalism and a genuine effort to make it right. The W Miami failed on every single count. Save your money and book somewhere that actually values your business. We will not be returning.

Das Gym ist über eine Garage erreichbar. Alles in allem das schlechteste W in dem ich jemals war. WLAN nicht einwandfrei funktioniert. Unpersönlich Komplett überteuert. Gym wird mit anderen Einrichtungen geteilt und ich durch die Garage erreichbar.

- alisongT8170TN (2/5): Do Not Stay Here – Not to Be Confused with the W South Beach - We accidentally booked the W Miami, thinking it was the W South Beach, where we had plans and accommodations with friends. When we arrived at the W South Beach, we immediately realized the mistake and contacted Marriott reservations. Reservations was actively pleading with the W Miami to offer a refund or waive the charge, especially since we were rebooking the same day at another Marriott property in the same city. The W Miami refused and still charged us over $500 for a stay we did not use. We have reached out to the hotel directly multiple times and have received zero assistance. We keep being told that a manager named Liz will call us back, but no one ever calls. There has been no willingness to understand the situation, no exception made, and no customer service resolution whatsoever. If you look at the reviews, this seems to be a pattern. The W Miami is not the same as the W South Beach, does not have the same location, amenities, or service standard, and clearly does not value guest experience. We are extremely disappointed in how this was handled and would not recommend staying here.

I had the pleasure of having a site visit at the W Miami-Brickell and had a tour of the amenities and meeting spaces with Sofia in the Catering Sales department- who was super sweet! The woman directing traffic to the different towers in a safety vest was SO genuine & welcoming. When I arrived at the front desk, the agent offered me a bottle of water while I waited for Sofia. I was then warmly greeted by Kevin Walsh & Sofia and began the tour of W Miami Brickell. Their pool is surrounded by the high-rises of the city and really blocks out the noise of the hustle & bustle. I can't wait to have an upcoming event at this property, because each meeting space has a Waterview, which is exactly what groups want in Miami! Proud to be the newest preferred venue!

Anthony at the front desk made us feel welcome and really cared about what I was looking for in a room. He went above and beyond, and thanks to him, we ended up with a corner room that has great views of the city and river. You can tell he truly cares about the guest experience. We liked it so much that we extended our stay! The room was spacious, stylish, and comfortable with great amenities, and the area around the W is walkable and full of energy. We went to Komodo 1 night and Hell’s Kitchen 2 nights for dinner which both were in walking distance. One unexpected amenity was a Zumba class at the hotel. It was high energy, upbeat, and a great way to burn calories after delicious dinners. Definitely not something I usually do on vacation, but I’m glad I went. Huge shoutout to George at the W hotel’s Tulum Restaurant who was a standout. He has a warm, welcoming energy that elevated our breakfast experience including his amazing caramel latte which I’ll miss when I’m home. He also made thoughtful recommendations including the pancakes and ensured everything arrived timely without ever feeling rushed. The food was delicious, George’s service was impeccable. and the views on the rooftop made this a 5 star experience. All in all, W Miami exceeded my expectations. Between the incredible service, the amazing location, the surprises like Zumba, and the stylish room, we’re looking forward to staying again.

It is not W quality - We have stayed previously at W hotels and expected the same cleanliness, quality of common areas, quality of service and amenities that we associate with this brand. Upon arrival on Sunday July 20, 2025, we were struck with the poor interior and reception desk, no one offered to assist with our baggage when we valeted our car. We told the front desk representative we were tired and hungry and asked for directions to the restaurant. We were informed that the restaurant was closed as of 5:00 PM. We specifically chose the W because it stated it had a rooftop bar and restaurant. We voiced our concerns since we did not want to change and go out to dinner, we were told to order Door Dash. We chose to leave our bags in the room and go out to dinner, so we did not pay attention to the room at that time. We arrived back at the room around 8:40 PM. As we were unpacking we then began to see many room issues: first the corridors to the room were dark and unwelcoming, the room had a moldy odor, the glass enclosure and tile in the shower in our room was dirty, wallpaper was peeling, the carpet was dingy, the windows have not been cleaned in a long time and green algae was growing on them, a filthy t-shirt was on the ledge outside the window. The conditions of this hotel and room were more on a par with a much cheaper hotel, not what is expected at a W. We thought it was important to let Bonvoy Marriott know our concerns and need for an inspection because this hotel was not W Quality, so we called the Bonvoy 888 number and voiced our opinions. We then spoke to the front desk representative, by this time it was late, and we were very tired, we did not want to pack up and move to another room, we told her we would be checking out in the morning, but we needed the since manager to contact us the next morning. No one from hotel management called us Monday July 21st or any day since. We were charged for Monday night even though we gave notice Sunday and we checked out for good cause. The Kimpton Hotel right across the river is a far superior hotel with amazing restaurants and amenities for a far cheaper rate. We hope someone in a position of responsibility gives us the courtesy of contacting us.

- GibsonHyde (2/5): A neglected and worn-down crash-pad - The thing that sets W Hotels apart from their competition is their unmistakably unique look and vibe. Sleek uncluttered lines, chique gray accents, a very youthful and happening lobby with pops of verbs like CLEAN or READ or SLEEP etc. Unfortunately for some reason the W Miami feels more like a neglected Best Western that got stuck somewhere between 1970 and 1980. Old sconces, wall to wall mirrors, frayed carpets, gauche black-and-white wallpaper, threadbare bathmats & towels, with not so much as a hint of a lobby. The check-in experience as poor. Even though Marriott Bonvoy have my Marriott Bonvoy credit card on file, they still wanted me to swipe it before giving us our room keys. Turns out that the credit card reader was not working and it took several other front desk employees to debate the issue before releasing the keys. (For the record, even though Marriott Bonvoy invited us to "check in" on their app, followed by a quick "swing by the font desk to pick up your keys", this property does not provide that sort of efficiency at all. Their rooftop restaurant Tulum serves borderline diner food and after delivering our meals, the only waiter on duty was no longer to be seen. Our room had only 1 bathrobe (even though we booked it for 2-person occupancy), there was an iron - but no ironing-board. When we called for one to be sent up, it took an hour with repeated calls to the front desk who kept claiming not to have heard about the issue each time we called. Unless someone from the Marriott team rescues this sinking ship, they risk damaging the W's reputation irretrievably.

- Bucajack (6/5): 3.5 Star Experience - Stayed at the W for 2 nights on a business trip. It's a nice hotel with a few things that hold it back from being great. Location is excellent. Just over the bridge in Brickell. Easy to get to and from. Room was big, clean and comfortable. I stayed in a "Wonderful Room" and had no issues with it. It didn't feel outdated. It was nice having a balcony even though I just looked out over Brickell Ave. The pool area is very nice and the pool itself is absolutely huge. It is shared with the residencies. The sign says the pool area is generally open from 9am-6pm but I stopped by after a morning run at about 8am and it was open for me to swim. Panther Coffee is located in the lobby and is excellent. The lobby itself is quite small and mostly occupied by Panther. Now for the not so great parts. Service at Tulum was abysmally slow. There was 3 tables occupied on the outside patio when we were here and it took forever to have drinks brought over whenever we ordered. I see this as a regular comment in the reviews so the hotel should really step it up here. Getting into my room was one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had in a hotel. You have to hold your key card in the perfect spot for it to unlock your door. Too close or too far away and nothing happens. Once you find that magical sweet spot you're in. I heard many guests asking about it at reception. It may seem like nitpicking but it becomes so frustrating after a few times. The hotel hallways are all tiled. There's no sound absorption out there at all. Makes for a pretty noisy experience with doors closing, people talking etc. I did wake a couple of times because of that. Overall I don't think I would return. I'd heard such great things about W Hotels and this experience would not make me want to book another property.

- 510haroldg (2/5): Disappointing Stay at ICON Brickell – March 2025 - My wife and I booked a two-night stay (March 14–16, 2025) at ICON Brickell Condo, unit #2706, managed by La Reserve. This was our second stay at ICON—our first in 2023 was flawless with a different management company. We’ve used Airbnb for nine years and always had great experiences—until now. Poor Unit Condition While check-in was smooth, the unit was disappointing: • Rust throughout the apartment • Non-functioning bedroom TV • No hot water in the bathtub • Mold on the shower curtain • Unfinished bathroom ceiling To avoid back-and-forth messaging, we chose not to report these issues and just enjoy our stay. Guest Check-In Mishap We had booked a one-bedroom unit for two but later asked if our two sons (engineers living in Miami) could join us. Host Javier approved, requested their IDs, and confirmed. He also asked if they’d need amenities access, which we requested for pool use. However, when I arrived at the lobby to check them in, I learned that Javier had not sent their information to the front desk. Instead, he instructed me to ask the receptionist if we could use another unit’s extra passes. The receptionist explained that only two passes were allowed per one-bedroom unit and that obtaining more required another guest to voluntarily provide theirs—a ridiculous request. Despite my attempts to reach Javier for a solution, he never called back. Pool Access Denied We went to the pool anyway and used chairs I had already set up. However, an attendant immediately approached, referencing a check-in conversation I had with another staff member. I explained the situation again, expecting a reasonable solution. Instead of contacting management for an exception, the response was a hard no. My sons were forced to leave immediately. This rigid, unaccommodating approach goes against basic hospitality principles. Fitness Center Access Revoked On checkout morning (March 16), my wife and I tried to use the fitness center before leaving. We had registered the day before and had valid QR codes. However, the attendant informed us that our accounts had been removed since checkout was at 10:00 AM. Even though we still had time before departing, we were denied access—another unnecessary inconvenience. Lack of Customer Consideration The hospitality industry thrives on guest satisfaction and problem-solving. ICON Brickell and La Reserve failed on all counts. A simple solution—evaluating the risk of granting an exception—was ignored. Instead, rigid policies were enforced with no flexibility or customer care. As a U.S. Air Force veteran with 30 years of experience (including 25 years managing risk for the DoD), I found this unprofessional, inflexible, and entirely avoidable. Final Verdict: Never Again ICON Brickell and La Reserve failed at basic hospitality. My family will never stay here again, and I will ensure others, including high-level management, are fully aware of this experience.

My friend was sick with food poisoning and without notice we were charged 500 dollars for a cleaning fee. We asked several times to understand what that 500 dollars was for and the front desk manager, Liz, was rude and unhelpful (and very condescending). Throughout our stay we had issues left and right - we asked for towels and toilet paper and it never came, we asked to switch to a different room and they made us wait 1.5 hours sitting in the lobby for an answer. I will never be staying here again - and I would not trust Liz to help you with anything. I have never experienced something like this in my entire life. I will not be returning,

I can not believe I’m spending $800+ per night for such an outdated hotel that feels nothing like W quality that I am accustomed to. I should have done my research before coming- the gym and pool are shared with surrounding condo buildings - which is fine, other than they are only open from 9-6pm. There is really no lobby, the hotel is in desparate need of an upgrade - food, rooms, etc The best part of the experience was a good shower and air conditioning. We felt like we were in a limited service hotel. I will be doing my research in the future rather than rely on what has been a trusted brand.
- 166danaq (4/5): Not going back - My experience is in line with others who have recently posted: extremely outdated, poorly maintained rooms that are absolutely not worth the price. For context, I paid $979 for one night’s stay, on top of that the hotel also charges a $20 “destination fee”, with taxes my total was $1106.27 for one night. I travel in and out of downtown Miami a lot — this is my 6th trip in as many months — and lived in downtown proper for years. I am accustomed to things like road noise and downtown construction noise. However the level of road noise in Room 703 was extreme and excessive. I believe it is due to a balcony door that would not seal and/or shoddy materials on said door. I did not sleep despite using earplugs and ambient noise. I did ask for a room change, which was not provided. I also looked around for other hotels to change to (that’s how bad it was) but could not find a room south of Wynwood and east of the airport, neither of which I was able to manage without a car. The room itself was poorly maintained. Each and every wallpaper seam was peeling from floor to ceiling, and the lower portions of the wallpaper were bubbling up from humidity. I lived in Miami for more than a dozen years and I understand the climate. If you’re going to make the choice to use wallpaper, you’re also going to have to CHOOSE TO MAINTAIN IT. That coupled with the general disrepair of the room (see pictures) of carpet coming apart at the seams, stained and discolored marble, and horrendously stained walls and drapery …. For the price of this room, I could have stayed across the river at the JW Marquis and had a cleaned and maintained room (which is my downtown go to but it was unfortunately booked up on this trip). All of the above, which are things well within the control of staff, was not helped by the 15+ years the hotel has seen since any renovation. It has not aged well. The hotel does not even offer mobile keys. At all. Which gives some indication for when any upgrades were done. Last thing I will say: I did ask for the GM’s email and name. I was told they don’t provide either. This from Lucia and Maria Paola at the front desk (who after 15 mins of trying also could not print out a folio statement for me). If you are not able to provide even a name of your GM, and give only the front desk email address, you are obviously dodging known problems rather than addressing them. I don’t blame the front desk staff, this appears to be a top down management issue. I have included a picture of the weirdly laminated strip of paper I was given to copy when I asked for the GM’s email. While I fully expect “Harrison Rose” to provide a weak tea public placation here, unless he and his front desk staff are providing real time contact information and specific steps for addressing and redressing, I would say W Miami’s management is wholly uninterested in actually addressing any of these issues as have been stated repeatedly in many reviews.

It was odd there was no drink or food service and you had to change into clothes and then go inside into the restaurant each time to order and bring back your items. But the worst thing was how the pool security kept on telling off people for everything and anything. We were told off for having a plastic bottle of water in the pool. Yes, I was not allowed to take water into a pool of water! We were told off for having a piece of clothing close the the pool. I felt like were naughty kids and for the price we paid I honestly expected better. Very disappointed and would not recommend as many other better choices out there.

Also, the hotel has very little to offer including a restaurant that closes at 9 PM and room service that also closes at 9 PM leaving you on your own with very few options. Overall, it is not worth the $900 a night that you have to pay to feel constantly frustrated

It's a little below what I would expect from the W.

The morning and early afternoon staff are excellent; friendly and helpful. The evening staff are helpful enough but lack the ability to be observant and listen. We had just returned from a 2 week cruise and had dressed for dinner with 4 course meals every night. Originally we thought we’d just eat at the restaurant on the 15th floor; the music was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think. We decided let’s just as the desk of there was a casual Italian place and grab a bowl of pasta or split a pizza. We were in shorts, t shirts and a long sleeve open shirts and sandals. We asked the 3 people at the desk for a “casual” Italian restaurant where we could grab a quick dinner. They said to go to one just a couple minutes walk. When we got there, the “doorman” in a tuxedo gave us one look and asked if we had a reservation? We were obviously under dressed. We decided to just walk around and find something on our own and found a great little food truck that made Italian and it was delicious. When we returned to the hotel the same staff asked how we liked it? We told them what happened and they said they don’t normally do reservations except on weekends “it was Friday night” another piped in that “sometimes cheap food is better than expensive food” and that the one they sent us too was expensive and “maybe we wouldn’t have liked it after all” I told them it had nothing to do with expense and everything to do with casual. If I wanted to put on slacks and a nice shirt We would have walked across the street to capital grill.

Since that time the hotel has deteriorated well below what I'd consider acceptable for a W hotel unless their standards have dropped considerably. 1) bathroom and shower had many broker parts 2) no longer provides slippers 3) you have to request the use of robes, as they're no longer provided as a standard, 4) no place to have bedside charging 5) the little alarm clock didn't work and was glued down to the nightstand and invisible at night. Overall run down and not desirable. We will not stay there again.

- James (4/5): Dated and disappointing. It’s not the actual W, it’s just a W branded residence. Not the same - Vet disappointed with what was meant to be a five star hotel. It’s actually just a W branded residence tacked onto another residence. Zero slippers or robe to be found in the room and when I called the “Anything Any Time” room service they still couldn’t provide slippers. Half the room was cold marble floor so this was pretty uncomfortable. On the third call I tried reception who were much more helpful (thank you Alejandra) - they finally managed to find the last pair of slippers in the place. Overall the “hotel” is very dated and nothing like the Ws that I’ve stayed at in other countries.

- Sarah (4/5): Disappointing - This hotel is not suitable at all for business travelers who need calm, private spaces for business meetings. There were no lounge areas suitable for meetings, no bar or coffee bar open in the evening ; plastic cups in the coffee bar (yuk); spa access via a service staircase and a parking lot (simply weird and a bit spooky). Definitely not what would be expected from a 5*.

- Alana (4/5): - Very disappointed as we were looking for a restful stay and every day we were there the fire alarm went off and we had to walk down 14 flights of stairs.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - Top of the line spa and gym. Restaurant closes at 6pm Room service stops at 3pm. Rooms pretty run down.
