This trip was for a friend's birthday, and the team was on top of it before we even stepped through the door. Big thanks to Khun Henry at Club Millésime for the smoothest check-in and that incredible room—the view was the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Speaking of the Club, the evening cocktails are still a must, but it’s the people that make it. Khun Gift, it was so nice to see you again; your care really makes a difference. What touched me most this time was when I wasn’t feeling well. Khun Mind (over the phone) and the Concierge team actually checked in on me to make sure I was okay. You don't get that kind of heart everywhere. Also, a quick shoutout to the team at Le Macaron—we didn't get all the names, but their lunch recommendations were spot on. Booked the Opera Suite as the last time we stayed in the Legendary Suite with the pool. The Opera suite is bigger but does not have a small plunge pool and balcony. the room was in good shape and we were given a bottle of champagne, small cake, fruit platter and small container of nuts for my birthday and Accor Diamond amenity. unfortunately, service has declined since we last stayed and is the main reason for our poor rating. our driver from the airport only said hello and goodbye to us for the whole drive in. usually they ask if you are ok with the temperature, offer wi-fi password, offer water and a cold towel. not a word from this driver. we were met by Liv at the door and escorted to the lounge for check in. she only asked about our flight and the rest of the ride wqs in silence. check in was efficient but they did not offer to show us the room and asked if we needed them to show us the room. most just show the room. they did not seem keen in showing us to the room. we came back after for coffee but we had to look around the whole lounge to get someone to help us get a coffee. we ran into a kitchen worker and a cleaner and neither said hello or try to get staff to help us. we had to chase down someone from the reception desk to get us coffees even though reception staff saw us get off the elevator. while sitting i noticed staff would often check their phones. also, the clientele has dropped off since our last visit. not necessarily the hotels fault but just another reason to not go to the hotel. tried to get off the elevator-to go the lounge and four caucasian tourists just pushed on without letting us out of the elevator first. the lounge is even worse with middle aged overweight t shirt and shorts tourists all slurping free alcohol. the alcohol is free but many people I saw had three drinks in front of them. it is free flow, no need to hoard booze. also, we were told smart casual when we checked in but since when is a t shirt, shorts and flip flops considered smart casual. everyone treats the bar and food like they have been on diets/abstinence for years. the final straw is the constant nightly thumping from either the Hyatt next door or the lounge upstairs. every damn night was boom boom until midnight. it was so loud on the Saturday that even my sound machine and earplugs could not block the thumping. In summary, the Sofitel has turned into another Sukhumvit hotel for poorly mannered tourists and loud music. despite being near the BtS and close and easy transportation we will not be going back next year when we are back in Bangkok. there are way too many better options on Bangkok especially if you want a suite.

We arrived at Bangkok airport, and were met by a hotel representative who took us to a vehicle & we were on our way to the hotel quickly. The vehicle was great, and was comfortable for the trip, given traffic in Bangkok is always a challenge, comfort is a must. We were welcomed by the extremely lovely staff, checked in & escorted to the room. The room itself was located on the 27th floor, had a dedicated lounge & dining room, kitchenette, bedroom, walk in closet & double vanity bathroom. It also had a seperate WC, and the absolute standout a jacuzzi on the outdoor balcony. The Club Millesime lounge was great for Breakfast, Afternoon Tea & Evening canapés/drinks. If you have Club Millesime access within your booking, this is so much nicer as a place for breakfast, quieter & more personal. The staff are all extremely friendly, and on hand to support with any questions we had which was fantastic. Next time we are back in Bangkok we will definitely be staying here!!!

Im Zuge des letzten Umbaus wurden leider auch die Betten erneuert. Diese sind extrem hart und waren für uns sehr unbequem. Nach einer Reklamation bekamen wir aber ein anderes Zimmer und entsprechende Topper.

I really enjoy staying here because the staff are so kind and attentive to even the smallest details. A special thank you to the team at the Club Millésime Lounge — N’Mack, N’Crispy, and N’Nok. They are friendly, and always make guests feel comfortable while still giving us privacy. They truly make me feel like I’m at home. Also, N’F at the pool bar always remembers what I like to drink and is incredibly hardworking. It’s little things like this that make a stay so special. The food at Belga and Maison is yummy, and the cocktails are perfectly balanced. Even when ordering many glasses, the taste is always consistent. That’s definitely one of the reasons I keep coming back and enjoy staying here so much 😉

The concierge staffs were also very helpful (their name was Khao and Tony). When we needed to store our luggages, they helped us immidiately and politely. - 741sarojk (4/5): Gems of stones - When I think of Sofitel, I would always remember the word "Magnifique" as its worldwide slogan is "Life is Manifique" when you stay with Sofitel. I beg to differ! During and after our stay with Sofitel, I repeatedly think of how my life would have been truly MAGNIFIQUE if I had not stayed with Sofitel. The hotel looks fairly good on the outside, but nicer on the inside. It's beautiful and clean, but as we walked into the hotel lobby to check-in, that's when everything stopped. As they claim themselves to be a five-star-hotel chain with elegance, I expected a smile and warm greeting from its staff, and to be served elegantly, not arrogantly. I am not quite sure if the staff feel that they have to be snobby, or if that was how they were trained as they work in a "French" hotel chain. If that's the case, they obviously passed the training. There was not a single smile nor did we feel welcomed, but instead we felt as though we were a burden to them. After a few short sentences, we were escorted to the Club Millèsime for check-in. The staff member who checked us in was not told by the previous person who escorted us to the Club that we were checking in. We were asked how could they help us? Then she saw our passports sitting on the desk and once again she asked if these belonged to us. Very unprofessional and definitely lack of communication between staff. However, she became quite fake nice after I initiated a conversation because it felt awkwardly quiet, and I really felt uncomfortable. The room assigned to us was not ready when we checked in at 2pm. We were told it would be ready by 3pm. It was not a big deal for us as we took the opportunity to enjoy ourselves with afternoon tea at the Club. However, the room was still not ready by 3pm. More disappointment kept coming. The Club Millèsime during evening cocktail and canapè was a truly massive disappointment. What is the point of a beautiful lounge if it is rather empty inside. The emptiness was not just in respect of the food and drink provided, but from the service from the staff as well. We can confidently say (and we already mentioned this to the Club staff) this is the worst Accor chain executive club we have ever been to worldwide. Piles of used dishes and glasses stacked on the table. No one seemed to think that they needed to take them away to the kitchen. We had to ask them repeatedly to remove used item. We asked one of the staff there if this is normal in the Club that has only 2 luke warm food dishes, one sad looking canapè, a few sweets and some salad. She said it is normal, especially after the festival by which I assumed she meant Chinese New Year. Then another staff emphasised us that only Club Millèsime provided free food and alcohol. I told her that it's not exactly true since we paid a lot extra to get Club access. We made our next stop to Bella Sera restaurant as we left the Club Millèsime with empty stomachs and hearts. Staff at Bela Sera were lovely, friendly and welcoming even though it was late when we got there. The service and friendliness there was the complete opposite of the Club Millèsime. We decided to have breakfast at Bella Sera instead of the Club the next day as we did not want to start a day with another disappointment. Breakfast was also ordinary. We got a room upgrade i assume, and we were truly grateful for it. We stayed from 18 to 19 February in room 2608. We are Gold Tier member. If it was not the effort of Bella Sera staff, we would rate a -10 in the service. The Club Millèsime staff owe them a big thank you! Being a luxury hotel, it should reflect not only the property, but also excellent service. Sofitel, I am sure you're proud of your property, but you need to live up to your standards and guests expectations. If any other guests feel the same way we feel, it clearly means that you fail in providing excellent service to make their stay as Magnifique as you promise on your slogan worldwide

A special thank you to Jeab, Noon, Bambi, Nui and Bird for their kindness and daily fresh avocado. We also loved the pool, spa and especially the Club Lounge – such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Many thanks to the chefs (Earn, Dong, Chopper, Dew) for preparing special vegan and vegetarian dishes for us, and to Nok, Gift, Ji Ji Mackie, Friend, Mariella and the entire team for their constant friendliness and care. We are already looking forward to our next stay.

Why couldn't the times have been adjusted to start an hour earlier and finish an hour later so the 2 hours could have been utilised by your guests. Guests pay extra to utilise the Club Lounge and there is absolutely no reason whatsoever that the times couldn't have been adjusted - it's not like the staff weren't there? Cheap shot to use election day as a way of saving a few bob..... I was also disappointed there was only table service for some guests. I was never asked once if I wanted a refill yet saw your staff walking around with bottles of wine topping up other glasses. Preferential treatment is extremely unfair to other guests. The rest of our stay was great. Love Sofitel beds and pillows and always look forward to staying there. Breakfast was a bit of a miss match. Exec lounge was really slow so only went once, main restaurant was just manic. Pool is shaded for 2 hours each day but seemed to be enough sunbeds. Looked like staff were saving a specific bed each day for one guest which again is unfair and not a practice that should be adopted by a reputable hotel chain. Good location and Khaow at concierge was lovely.
- R2940SBwilliamr (10/5): Must stay 5 ⭐️ - This was my fourth stay at the Bangkok Sofitel. It just keeps getting better every visit. Some notable staff who made me particularly welcome are as follows; Kevin, Mira, Pete, Khom, Bic, Saenz, Natty, & Tui. I will see you later this year!
- 창한김 (10/5): best Staff - MIRA staff are the best at Sofitel. They always go above and beyond to meet any customer needs or requests. They are truly Sofitel's best staff.
- PFBP1 (8/5): Good Stay - We enjoyed our stay and found all staff very helpful. In particular, the staff at the Millesime Lounge were very excellent. Suite was very good though we did find using the ipad light controls complex and not helpful (whatever happened to simple switches?). Bathroom was very good though the toilet cubicle was cramped because of the extra-large type of toilet which extended from the wall far more than usual. Food in the Belle Sera was excellent though noise from the lobby was intrusive and impacted on the overall experience. In contrast, we found the Belga Restaurant experience to be average. Breakfast in the Millesime lounge was a mixed affair; very good on one day and food was cold on the second day. Lounge evening food and cocktails were of a high standard. The cafe at the hotel entrance was consistently good with helpful staff. Transport to / from the hotel (pre-arranged with the hotel) worked well with good drivers and was most comfortable. Overall, our stay was good and we will stay again next time we visit Bangkok.
