Guest Reviews
- Andrew (10/5): - Really nice enjoyable stay. The staff were great and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choices.
Room was spacious with a comfortable bed.
Neighbouring rooms were a bit loud at times, but didn't affect the overall stay.
Would happily come and stay here again 🙂
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The rooms were a bit small but great pool. Overall, we expected it to be better.
- V2298BZomarz (4/5): Subpar shouldn’t be 4 stars - Smallest rooms dirty bathroom breakfast was mid. But they offered a refund for the nights we didn’t end up staying location is a big plus to explore everything in old Istanbul and historic places would probably go for 2 nights there and 2 nights at a different hotel in the future.
- MAS (6/5): - It wasn't my favorite hotel and it has 4 star hotel while it was like a 3star hotel,
About the bearkfast, it was awful and they didn't have more option
- Moniba (10/5): - Walking distance from Bazaars and the beautiful mosques. Room service was great. Breakfast tasty! Thanks for a great stay.
- 994linahl (2/5): Worst customer service in world - We were friends and we had a very bad experience in Zagreb hotel.
The receptionist is so rude he was changing the room for us every two days
One day we forgot our bag inside the room ( with money). They locked the room and they rejected even to let us enter to get our money. The service is very bad
- Meander00492887759 (2/5): The pictures of rooms you see on website are fooling the public - Hotel is very bad, the pictures you see on the website is nothing like that at all.Exceptionally small rooms.By no way a 4 star Hotel.Breakfast is terrible, same everyday. No lift to get to the reception area, have to walk up stairs with your luggage.
- Zhila (4/5): - There is no lift to reception. I was expecting somewhere really nice as its 4 star hotel, but very small area, small rooms with no service at all. The refrigerator was empty only a bottle of water. No table and chair to use. We had our tea on our beds.
Not comfortable at all.
- Odyssey05056039897 (2/5): Avoid at any cost. Scammers and Thief - Avoid it at any cost. I stayed for 3 nights. I paid for two and wanted to pay last night on the third day. They threw my luggage away and locked us out of the room . My wife was pregnant and we had nowhere to go. The stay was nightmare. Avoid at any cost ! they will scam you
- 26takwab (2/5): Miserable!!!! - Worst hotel ever! Please avoid going to it!!!!!!
- Staff is very rude and unprofessional. They deal with people as the hotel is their hotel. They let us waiting for 3hours in the reception while we have paid already and our luggage is in the room and there were their mistake.
- Breakfast is not variable!
- ?KM (2/5): - The electricity was on and off on a generator for the duration of the trip. once during breakfast and the next 2/3 hours it tripped around 50/60 times. i think whilst we were in the hotel it tripped around 500 times. generator would remained on overnight and could be heard through out the night. Totally ruined our experience in Istanbul. other hotels in the area were not affected. we had 3 rooms in the end. I want some sort of refund.
- retnon448 (10/5): Hotel near by station - We would like to thank for the service
Specially to the lady at the reception and the housemaids, thank you for keeping our room clean and tidy , we will definitely comes back for the next trip to Istanbul, nice breakfast with amazing rooftop swimming pool
- Ibrahim (10/5): - great plase
- Travelling_Sister33 (10/5): Simply THE BEST! - What a great hotel. The reception and porter welcomed us with a big smile upon arrival. Easy checkin process with everything you need to know on a welcome letter as well. Room had a street view, that was great. Even though the hotel is on a corner you can barely hear the street noise and calling of the nearby Mosque. Ample tv channels when you get back from a busy day of sight seeing and coffee and tea facilities is an additional bonus. Breakfast in the morning is amazing! A wide variety of traditional Turkish cuisine setup in buffet style. Daily housekeeping also included in your stay, they even replenish the shower amenities daily, fresh towels and linen as well. (I am a hotel manager as well and always go in with high expectations when travelling) I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel and the services they offered. They have spa services (massage and Turkish bath) that is 10 dollars per use. A rooftop pool with a view that takes your breath away. The pool area is free, be sure to take a relaxing day there aswell and take in the view. I will highly recommend this hotel and will certainly be back if in Istanbul again.
- Patricia (10/5): - Fantastic Service, central location, comfortable and clean rooms and excellent breakfast.
- 264222 (8/5): Great location, pool and food - Zagreb Hotel is in an ideal location. The facilities are great and the breakfast is really, really delicious.
We used the pool and sauna facilities. Which were great! The view from the pool area is incredible.
The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean and well maintained. The hotel has a traditional feel about it. I would highly recommend staying here :)
- Syma (8/5): - All staff - especially Azad - were great. Breakfast was a great affair with one of the cooks making delicious filled flat bread in front of us each morning! Air conditioning worked - but had to call reception for them to turn it on centrally each time.
- Happiness14653070559 (2/5): very bad service - The picture are completely different than the reality
The hotel didn't mention that the reception is on the first floor and you have to use a tiny staircase to reach it , ( no lift at the ground flour) .
The room was very very small , as we requested a double bed , we got the tiniest room( single room) fitted by a double bed , no space for the luggage and no space to move , it was warm and noisy.
Also they didn't mention that the SPA/sauna/steam room/hammam are not included, you have to pay 10$ per person per use .
The breakfast wasn't fresh (most of it was the leftover from the previous days )
The cleaning was every 2nd day , we didn't request any cleaning until the 4th day ( the 4th day we took off don't disturb sign) , and the cleaning was done but the surprise was : nothing has been done in the room linens/ bed sheets haven't been changed/ bins full / no toilet roll / the floor was dusted they didn't touch anything, they took the dirty towels and they put the fresh one that's all .
The one in the reception was very rude ,
Except YUNUS was helpful
Definitely it is not a four Stars
- Farkad (4/5): - Not my place
- Payal Pankajbhai (10/5): - It was a Very Good Hotel to stay if you are traveling Istanbul. Hotel location was good. You will find so many good places to explore by walk from hotel. Also staff was so good and helpful. Apartment from that Breakfast was also Fine.I strongly recommend this hotel. Very Comfortable and Comfy place to stay in Istanbul.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- MUHIDIN (10/5): Enjoyed my time at Zagreb hotel - Amazing stay, grand bazaar, near Egyptian bazaar
- Mahmoud (10/5): - Excellent services and location, the staff was very helpful and i highly recommend this Hotel
- Danyal (2/5): - It was terrible experience. The receptionist Mr. Azad behaved very bad he snatched our personal items including mobile phones, laptops, and other presents. These people even don't know how to treat foreigners in Turkey. Zagreb hotel staff is really bad they don't have manners their attitude shows foreigners are slave in their country. On more thing, during midnight, all receptionist's attacked us with knife in our room 509 & 511 we somehow rescued ourself and left this hotel. I will never recommend any one to book this hotel as this is unsafe. Thanks.
- David (6/5): - I found the place quite basic for the price l paid £519 from the 6th June to 11th WiFi poor. Had to pay for water each day to drink. Breakfast was quite poor nothing either English or continental. It was basically breakfast only no other food that you could buy even though there was a cafe apart from hot and cold drink
No English television every station foreign bored to tears in my room.
Tried to listen to the radio in my room on my phone but because the WiFi was so poor it kept cutting out.
Would l stay here again no.
- Constantin E (10/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel, very good location, diverse breakfast, relaxed atmosphere.
- Eugen (10/5): Very nice hotel!!! - Very good location, close to everything, rich and diverse breakfast. Good price!!!
- Sabrina (10/5): - Stayed here with my mother after relocating from a different hotel and honestly the experience was everything. Staff were super friendly and attention especially the cleaning lady and Younus the doorman who always ran to help us with our bags! I felt looked after always and safe. We didn’t get a chance to try the hammam which is the only let down as we missed the staff due to timings however would honestly recommend this hotel! Great rooms and very easy to get around the shops and access to tram station! Thanks Hotel Zagreb!
- shazrahassan (8/5): Good spa - A beautiful hotel at a very reasonable price
Breakfast is included and is very good for the price
Eggs and breads are absolutely delicious
24 hours front desk service and Beautiful heated pool with an amazing view of a mosque infront. Had to pay $10 for sauna, hamam and steam room but was absolutely worth the money. The hamam is very beautiful and the day I went no one else was there so was very peaceful and private and was open for 4 hours and just for $10 it’s absolutely worth to experience Atleast once.
The location is close to grand bazaar and a lot of shops all around the area.
Although some staff need to smile a little bit some staffs are amazing.
My favorite and most lovely gursur (housekeeping) greets us morning every day and always has the most warm and beautiful smile. Although she cannot speak English she will definitely make you happy by her smile 💕
Definitely a staff every guest should meet.
Mehmet (front desk) was the first person to welcome and always greets us with a smile.
Hakan (breakfast), gazia, yunus (front desk) hayaretin(came to fix our heater) are also some staff who has been super helpful in our visit.
- Carina (4/5): - The rooms are much smaller (actually too small) than shown on photos, everyday guests had to wait to get a breakfast table, breakfast was always the same but sufficient if you came esrly
- FERUZ (10/5): - I loved everything the staff working Over there is easy going and friendly.
- priyanku2022 (2/5): Pathetic experience in Hotel Zagreb Istanbul Turkey - Hello,
Myself Priyank Upadhyaya + my wife checked into your Istanbul hotel in the afternoon of 20 Nov 2022. The room was very very small and there was hardly any space for 2 people to move around as well. Something very different to the room pics uploaded on your company website. Very shocking and surprising.
An hour later of my checkin I found the AC was not cooling so I called the hotel reception and enquired about the same. I was told that there was a technical error in the function of all hotel ACs due to which all ACs are only functioning as heaters. Further to that I informed that twice thereafter that the room is getting extremely hot which is getting very difficult for me and my wife.
I was clearly told by the reception person that "nothing can be done about this issue and the only option was to keep the room windows open for cooling".I tried opening the window however due to traffic and shops open, there was a lot of noise due to which we were unable to sleep at all.
I called the reception two more time thereafter and requested them to look into the issue. Again the response was "no other option available and you have to live with what you have".
Zero level of customer service and empathy with no intention to even listen to me and offer some solution. This was so disappointing and frustrating for a someone like us new to Turkey and Istanbul. Hence I was left with no other option but to change the hotel last minute.
The bigger shock and surprise came at the time of checking out from your hotel in the night. The person at the reception did not even offer any alternative or say sorry about me leaving due to a issue which the hote was unable to solve. He just took the key and let me leave without saying anything. This is the height of very poor and totally bad customer service which I did not expect in a world class city like Istanbul.
Hence I would like my travel manager Ms Nihira Sawant from Cover the World to get 100% refund of such poor service from your end and also the upcoming booking for 26 Nov 2022 stands cancelled with refund. Under no circumstances I will checkin your hotel again.
- Omda555 (8/5): Great - I and my wife stayed there for a week, it was one of the best weeks ever.
Excellent location, very clean and friendly staff.
Very good value for money.
On the negative side the room is a little bit small.
- Caroline (2/5): - Staff very rude and not welcoming at all
As for the hotel bathrooms not clean at all even all broke shower sanitary doesn’t exist difficulty to have shower
One world is not even wirrh to 1 star hotel that bad was
- Taghrid (4/5): - The location is very good, the staff are nice but ghe rooms are terribly small and uncomfortable. The breakfast is poor and not fresh. Overall it’s not a comfortable stay
- ManishaSharma29 (8/5): Nice Hotel - My friend and I stayed in this hotel in Istanbul. The location is good and the staff is helpful and courteous. A special mention to Younus and Gazi who helped us a lot. Though the rooms are small, the location and staff make up for a pleasant stay.
- legramumba (2/5): sauna & steam are not included, misleading !!!! - tourist scam! sauna & steam (hammam) are not included in the price , it's 10 euro pp per day lol, the question I would like to ask why be so petty ?? 🤣 this is a joke
staff are helpful though.
location is next to all the shoes & bags stores where turks are trying to make you buy fake brands , it's funny on the day 1 but gets annoying after all
- Robert (10/5): Great staff, excellent accommodations, good food - Outstanding package offered by hotel. Staff was incredibly courteous and helpful will all requests. Breakfast was above average and well organized. Spa, sauna and swimming pool exceeded expectations. Great location for shopping, exploring historic areas and markets plus close to tram and metro. For the price, a great bargain and will definitely return.
- travelingmarika (8/5): Nice hotel close to public transport - We were warmly welcomed by the staff, taken to our room (small but functional) and everything was explained well. This was a corner room with a lovely sunset view, firm but comfortable bed as well as a coffee station and small fridge.
The room was a tad dated, but clean. The breakfast selection was large with many interesting items. It was our first time in Turkey and we loved the strange (for us) choices at breakfast. The pancakes every morning were my ultimate favourite.
The hotel is 5 min walk from the Metro and 3 min walk to the nearest tram stop, which was very convenient. It's just off the main tourist area, with lots of interesting local restaurants nearby as well as a restaurant with a fantastic rooftop bar for watching the sunset.
The wifi was good throughout and overall we enjoyed our stay. We did not try the pool and were out mostly, so for our needs (sleep, shower, coffee) we would choose this hotel again.
- Latifa (10/5): - The hotel is in great location, rooms are clean, the staff are amazing and helpful, we had great time no problem whatsoever, the only thing that should be looked at is the breakfast it needs to be changed, not much to choose, rather than that everything is great and lovely, big thanks to the house keeper she is very nice and friendly. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
- joseph (10/5): - Gazi at front desk was very helpful so we’re the rest of the staff
- ezizs2022 (2/5): Terrible service, - Terrible service, brainless receptionist, and dirty and cold pool, rooms are small and uncomfortable, even a single star is too much for this hotel, came to spend a nice time and to swim , but faced a big dissatisfaction in the hotel, if you want comfort then simply stay away from this hotel
- Olimpia (10/5): - The staff was so helpful!
- Mohsen (8/5): Tourist Location - The first thing that you notice is that you need to go up some stairs to get to the main hotel lift which is somehow peculiar. However the friendly staff will take all luggage to your room. The swimming pool isn't very big or deep but the water is warm and nice music playing in the area. Rooms are OK with great water pressure in the shower, breakfast is buffet, the lentil soup is quite good. Hotel location is quite touristy with expensive restaurants and Taxis nearby but also quite convenient to walk. Overall an enjoyable stay, certainly recommended
- AngelinaZgheib (2/5): Hair in the bed - We were really disappointed when, after a long journey discovering istanbul, we want to go to sleep at the hotel. But, how disgusted we were, when we remove the bed cover and guess what? We found that the bed sheets had been used by someone else. It was not clean at all, so much hair on the sheets...
On top of that, the room had a very bad smell from the toilet.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not a great stay - Not a great stay overall. Rude reception staff that weren’t helpful. Small rooms that not fully functioning bathroom. Bathroom and bed sheets not clean either. Breakfast was satisfactory. Not much variety.
Best thing about the hotel was the location. Close to tram line and a 10-15 min journey to main site seeing places.
Pool was also nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was amazing & super friendly.
- Naziha (10/5): - Very good hotel, very professional staff. Especially Mr Gazi front desk he’s very helpfull. I will stay again at Zagreb Hotel
- Mersub (6/5): Average - It was pretty average. Location was ok side road not that easy to get around
- Anas (8/5): - Its was good
- Mahmood (8/5): Pleasant hotel - The hotel is located in an area called Laleli, the hotel rooms are quite small but have everything. The front desk staff Tekin was very hepful.
- Nowaf (4/5): noises - The stuff was very good but !! Air conditioning was bad! And the windows are not soundproofed. Every day I had to get up at five in the morning because of the sound from outside despite the windows being closed.
- Roni (6/5): - The staff is very friendly and helpful
But the room is small and there is stairs from entrance to reception
- Abdiqadar (4/5): - No Parking, no visitor, no luggage elevator or help from the front door to reception in 1st flr
- jennifer (8/5): - Double bed is two beds together. Hot water. No view just abandoned buildings on 1st floor in back. Decent breakfast. Staff in dining room very good. 4 english channels on tv. Close to metro 4 minutes. Close to sultanahmet 20 minute walk.alot of restaurants and shopping near by.tea pot in room. No cold water in room. Frig barely working. Mattress pad stained. No top sheet. No washcloth. No conditioner. No lotion.
- Verified traveler (10/5): All in all a great experience - Great staff great rooms for the price
Only downside was the blocking of roads for some reason therefore taxis couldn’t reach but it’s not the hotels fault
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very good hotel - Very good service. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is good, but we understand the effects of Covid-19 pandemic.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly staff and it’s clean
Very good location
Safe
- Verified traveler (8/5): - the staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful but the cafeteria were busy and to themselves they don't talk to guests
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Breakfast and service were amazing pool mnbvxczvzxhhjxjcnxncjxjxjjfjjjfjfjfjfnfnfncncnfnfueykegegkehkehldhldhlr
- Verified traveler (10/5): - i like to say thank you to mr Gazi at customer service tesk his doing excellent jobs.
- Rie (6/5): At least the room had AC... - Let’s start from what was good. The room had AC. That was about it.
What was not good: Room I stayed in was very small. I asked hotel staff to be moved to a bigger room and the guy said all the rooms are same size. You can’t even sit on the toilet straight because your legs don’t fit in the space between toilet and shower wall. There is no elevator from the ground floor to the receptionist so I had to carry my suitcase up the narrow stairs. Walls are pretty thin. You can here the phone conversation next door. It’s not worth the price.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Room so small. The area is terrible. They don’t sale beverages so if you are thirsty no one cares
- Mohammed (10/5): - Amazing experience, staff very friendly and helpful, a 10 out of 10 to Zagreb hotel.
- Rola (2/5): Close to the metro - Tight room, we booked it for 2 adults and 1 child more than 7 years they gave us 1 room even not enough for 1 adult, they got too much money for that child without extra bed, u should go up one staircase to rich the elevator, i don't recommend it.
- Khalid (6/5): good hotel for traveller with pudget - there is no elevator from the ground floor, you have to go one level up by stair where you will find the reception and the elevator on the first floor.
at check in, the officer gives us small room two single bed, the shower and fridge were not working after discussion with evening officer in duty, he gave us a good room with good condition.
breakfast is mainly eggplant and variety of cheese with yogurt and different type of jam and sweets.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A nice stay in Istanbul Zagreb Hotel - The elevator was from the second floor and for an elderly person it is a bit inconvenient.
Staff were extremely helpful and nice. It had a nice homely atmosphere. The location was excellent.
- qureshi (8/5): The hotel is in a very convenient location - The hotel we stayed at is In a very good location for the metro line to all the tourist attractions. The indoor swimming pool was a massive plus point for my little toddler but it's quiet small.
Unfortunately, the weather was not so great during our stay
- HADIJAH (10/5): Nice Staff and food - I was disappointed to get a small room with a dirty bathroom but after my first review; they apologised and changed my room that day. the hotel staff are very friendly especially the new lady at the reception (note this was like the tenth time I stayed there but I was glad not to find the unfriendly man who used to be at the reception)!
Zagreb's Dream Restaurant provides the tastiest meals at a very cheap price!
- Sami (8/5): - Hotel is clean and nice, staff are helpful and polite, room is quite small but useful, i have checked in early with no extra fees,
- Nasser (8/5): Good Service, clean hotel and friendly staff - I stayed in this hotel and the hotel staff is really friendly especially the guy Gazi. He was fully knowledgable, courteous and really polite. He is the best hotel staff person I have ever met. I would rate him 5 stars.
Apart from this the hotel was clean and as advertised. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
- Tamar (8/5): Nice weekend in Istanbul - Very good!
- Moroccan traveller (8/5): personal trip - I been in this hotel before, the stuff do their best to provide good service. The location is not bad, near tramway and metro.
There is a swimming pool on the roof. Many restaurants around.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - food is very bad and not generous at all
room and bathroom are not clean
- Mushe (8/5): - Thanks
- hanen (8/5): Nice hotel for family - I liked the hotel .the breakfast was tasty and rooms are clean except the baby cot.
- youssef (8/5): Good breakfast - Nice hotel and friendly stuff. The breakfast is delicious
- spenceley (4/5): Zagreb; an unpleasant experience - Bad check-in; no greeting just "where's your passport?" Guests are not allowed to have a drink and watch the sunset from the terrace; this is strictly for swimming. Photo's are badly deceptive - the pool is really tiny. bedrooms are the smallest i've seen in a hotel. Staff attitude was terrible. The breakfast buffet was very average. On the whole, I felt very uncomfortable in this hotel and cancelled my remaining nights for the Mosaic Hotel just up the road, which was brilliant!
- Ivaylo (8/5): - been for 3 nights, nice breakfast, clean a bit small size room ( 2 ad + 1 kid ), quiet and convinient position.
only MINUS - no TV programs to watch at the evening
- Hashim (10/5): Good - I send five days with my wife
I like the staff as soon as I arrived the staff took my two briefcase up to the room the room was small but not bad the hotel was located near the metro bus resturant and shopping area
I like it
- sodnomdash (8/5): Good location around laleli - Room and bathroom are very little.
- ALISA (10/5): Great Time in Istanbul - We stayed in here for a few days in August. It is a small but elegant hotel. Very comfortable and staff is extremely friendly, employees at the front desk helped us with everything, from scheduling a shuttle to airport to recommending tours and restaurants to eat. Good thing about hotel that everything is within walking distance Grand Bazaar and Bayezit Mosque is about 15 minutes and further down is Aya Sofia, Topakapi Palace and Sultan Ahmet Mosque. There are a lot of attractions and things to see if you are willing to take your time and walk around. Bear in mind that this is very busy shopping district as well, there are some great clothing shops to check out. Overall experience was really great and I would definitely go back.
Ohh there is complementary breakfast in a hotel which is great with extensive choice of breakfast food, international and local alike.
- LA doctor (6/5): Great pool, if it's clean - The rooftop pool is the main attraction here. Too bad the water was cloudy for two days. And the pool attendant kicked me out for sitting and reading up there because You must be swimming. Most of the staff were very grouchy and unfriendly. The breakfast was a great spread. The rooms were tiny. They were remodeling 4/5 of the floors, with construction going on till midnight! The location is an easy tram ride to the center.
- Kristjan (8/5): Nice little hotel - Nice pool, good location and good breakfast:)
- Tatiana (8/5): Very Nice Hotel. Located in the Heart of Laleli. - The staff are very pleasant and professional. Eventhough breakfast I would have loved if there was a wider range of bread variety.
- Sage (8/5): Easy to get to by subway - The hotel is dated but easy to find and 10 min walk from the subway so you can get there from the airport by walking. There is a mini mart across the street so you are close to water, soda, snacks, etc 24 hours a day. There is a mosque near by so i would recommend staying on the 1st floor but you'll hear it regardless. The WiFi was good for us. There is also a PC in the lobby to use for light work and minimal printing for free. The breakfast is great and is a full buffet. The pool was cold but felt good after walking all day in the heat. The Blue Mosque is is a good 15-20 min walk or a short train ride. We took the train in and walked back. The train will also go to the Grand Bazaar and Spice Market.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Pre-CRUISE stay in Istanbul - We stayed for 4 nights in June. The staff were quite helpful when quizzed about istanbul, etc.
After hectic days seeing the sights we wanted to chill by watching TV - About 1000 Channels - YEH !!!!! With 2 English channels - CNN and BBC. What a dead loss !!!!!
The appealing pool was FFFFreeeeeeezing - to say the least.
All in all - a well located Hotel - very accessible to the Trams. The room - although smallish - was clean and tidy with a quite comfortable bed. Breakfast was sufficient - quite repetitive - BUT OK.
- max001 (6/5): trip to Istanbul - Location is good. The pool on the top floor was nice on a hot day. The bad: the room was extremely small and in need of renovation. We found on a second day that window did not lock properly and there was a lot of street noise because of that. Also it's close to a mosque so expect to be waken up at 5am every morning.
- Sundus (10/5): Excellent - Very good location very good staff clean room excellant breakfast
- sarah (6/5): Nice and comfortable hotel - Ideal location, handy for sights all within walking distance. Close to tram and Metro. Clean hotel, lovely buffet breakfast.
- Matei (8/5): Good location - The staff is ok.
The rooms are small but ok to stay.
They have the good location. In 10 minute you are in turist center.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel ! - I like this hotel. The room is with limited space but very clean and comfortable. It's close to Aksaray tram and metro station. Food there is tasty.
- Vesna (6/5): Great location of a hotel, but small rooms - Hotel Zagreb is located in a very nice neighbourhood, Grand Bazaar is very close, if you walk is around 10 min away, but if you take a train is 3 stops and it takes only around 3 minutes. Sultan Ahmet station is also right after Grand Bazaar, and there yuo can see Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and Cisterna Bazilika. You can also find a lot of nice places to eat local food and drink local and all other drinks.
The only problem about this hotel are small rooms (specialy beds) and the knowledge of english language of the employers.
I must say that the breakfast that was included in room reservation was great. You can choose all kinds of Turkish specialties and also all kind of other delicious meals.
We visited Istanbul in firt week of march and the weather was still pretty cold, so we had a little of problem with coldness at the pool, probably because not so many guests used it and they didn't made it warmer, but above all that the pool area is very nice decorated.
- Moroccan traveller (8/5): Lovely trip - The hotel is far away of Sultan Ahmed, but near the tramway station. Many restaurants around. There is swimming pool on roof top. Staff is very helpful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): 2* rather than 4* - I think this Hotel should be only 2 stars, as the beds were very uncomfortable, the rooms were too small for 2 people and on check in, they said they will charge for the Sauna!
The only thing good about it was the breakfast.
- OC (10/5): Comfortable Hotel - Nice location, easy access to public transport, at the same time located in a quiet neighborhood.
- Constantine (6/5): Avoid. There are a lot of better alternatives... - Didn't like the hotel and hotel employees... I arrived at 2 am after 12 hour flight and i was asked so many questions about Canada, my motherland etc - i was forced to stop the guy at the reception to stop bugging me with all those question and finally get me the keys. I got the room at the 5th room - i NEVER seen such a tiny room even i lot. Bed was terrible with the cheap and uncomfortable mattress.
Honestly speaking it's like a 2 star hotel 5 miles away from Las Vegas.
Be careful with Taxi - ask the bell boy to get you an official taxi (yellow) with a Taximeter - otherwise you will get a shuttle or a taxi without any taximeter and you will pay at least twice as much as the official rate.
Keep in mind - sea port is only 15 min away and taxi can not cost more then 30 TL (about $18) - at the reception i was offered with flat rate taxi of 50TL...
- Nabagala (8/5): zagreb - rooms are nice but very small
- Mukthar (10/5): Good - Overall good
- Ruperto (10/5): Mr. - Me and my family enjoyed staying at your hotel and thanks to everyone for good service.
- Yiling (10/5): Great stay - Location, service, cleanliness were all wonderful. However, breakfast needs to have more improvement. But will definitely choose Zagreb if we come back.
