From the time we checked in and needed a change to our reservation, they were excellent. I would stay again for the staff experience alone. Nothing, really. The hotel is small, but the size of the rooms are okay by NYC standards.

Durante il check-in abbiamo riscontrato numerosi problemi e, nonostante le difficoltà, non abbiamo ricevuto alcun tipo di supporto da parte del personale. L’atteggiamento riscontrato è stato di totale disinteresse e mancanza di disponibilità nel cercare una soluzione o venirci incontro. Desidero inoltre sottolineare che in fase di prenotazione non era indicato in alcun modo che venisse accettata esclusivamente una sola carta di pagamento, obbligatoriamente la stessa utilizzata per la prenotazione, né che non fosse possibile suddividere il pagamento su due carte. Questa informazione, fondamentale, ci è stata comunicata solo al momento del check-in, causandoci notevoli disagi. Ritengo tale mancanza di trasparenza e di assistenza non conforme al livello di servizio atteso e resto in attesa di un vostro riscontro in merito.

I only have one complaint. The leather headboard in the room was torn on both beds, diminishing the appearance of the room. As a business person, I thought it was a shame, because the rest of the experience was perfect, so it kind of of makes you ask, why?

- Fox (8/5): - Great location. The rooms are small but very stylish, modern and clean. The rooftop bar with views of Empire State is an absolute highlight. Breakfast is very basic and expensive. Bar food is also very limited and only geared to cocktails/snacking. Not great for feeding family, but plenty of options outside given location once we got our bearings. Hotel Concierge only interested in promoting Marriott and selling you property. Staff at reception have no access to the reservations system to make changes on reservations etc. (We had an extra family member joining at short notice).

The concierge can be overwhelming when you first walk through the door, but all it takes is to tell them you're not interested in a sales pitch and it's not a hassle. We didn't stay in Midtown so we could spend our vacation inside, so size of room didn't bother us a bit. It's small, but it's Manhattan. We could see the ESB from our room! Rooftop bar has amazing vibe and view of ESB, but drinks are crazy over-priced. Not worth going back for people staying there, IMO. Which is disappointing considering the rare view. Otherwise, no complaints.

- Sarina (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay here! Check in was a breeze. The employees were extremely nice and welcoming! Every time we walked in or out of the hotel/elevator we were always greeted with smiles. The security at the door was also very nice and welcoming! Our room was on the 11th floor, although we didn't have a city view, the room itself was very clean and accommodating. If we needed anything, we called the concierge, and it was brought to us very quickly. Our room was separate from the others on the floor, so we loved that a lot! There was very little noise outside our room and the windows. This location makes it easy for cleaning and privacy with the click of a button, so that was new and easy. No one ever bothered us if the privacy button was on. They had a welcome kit and a departure kit for us. They also had complimentary wine and cheese, but sadly, we were informed the night before we left. I guess the lady who checked us in forgot to mention that, but that would have been nice to have. The only thing I can say is they have a rooftop bar that was occasionally closed for private events, so we couldn't enjoy it as much as we wanted to. But it was okay because there are several rooftop bars throughout the city. It just would have been nice to come back to our hotel after hours of walking and go up to the rooftop and have a glass of wine and call it a night. Everything else was great, and I would definitely come back again and stay here!!

- Wanderer625760 (2/5): Poor Customer Service an Understatement - The room was not turned one day, which I understand can happen. Unfortunately when I mentioned this before leaving for dinner the.hotel thought it appropriate to leave sheets and towels on an unmaid bed, leaving the existing dirty towels in the shower and room unturned.. We phoned down but at this point cleaning had gone for the day. I noticed they had only supplied 2 towels for 4 people so at this point I requested 2 more towels. While we were making our own beds, two towels were deliver by seemingly a very annoyed worker. We then realized a flat sheet was missing, We once again called down and requested a flat sheet. The response by the front desk was absolutely ridiculous, “(big sigh) really, I just sent somebody up”. We then waited 45 minutes for the flat sheet (we were on the 2nd floor). When the sheet was delivered my daughter was told “it wasn’t cool that we called down so many times”. When I went down to confront the staff that this was unacceptable, both employees were there, never offered an apology but requested I “tone it down”. I can live with a sub-par hotel but the absolutely horrible service here should make you look elsewhere. Also, please keep in mind, due to work travel, I am somewhere between a silver and a platinum bonvoy customer. Book elsewhere, trust me. Also, I have noted the names of the two employees involved if Marriott is serious about customer service and if they want to discuss.

- Koki (8/5): Non-stop noisy room to the inner yard - Very good location, very good matrices, very good bathroom No breakfast offered (as this is not a hotel, but vacation hotel which is another concept), noisy room looking to the inner yard (with the non-stop ventilators of the other buildings, also during the night). We asked for a taxi to JFK airport, the person taking care (William) was not honest and not transparent to us of the price by telling us that the hotel taxi service has the same price as the yellow cab taxi, which was not true as the yellow cab is 85 USD and the hotel taxi is 95 USD (to which the hotel taxi driver added 10 USD for toll when arriving (and not telling in advance) at the JFK airport).

- KerryE858 (8/5): Very convenient location in Midtown - Being a Marriott Vacation Club owner, this is my go-to place to stay in NYC. It's in a great location in the garment district, within walking distance of theaters, restaurants and subways. The staff are always accommodating, and they even offer free walking tours to various neighborhoods in the area. I just wish they had better options for onsite dining. Also, I did not appreciate being woken up at 8am on the day I was checking out by housekeeping wanting to clean my room...the first of three interruptions while I was trying to pack and leave.

Roof top bar was nice even if we only went up to take a peak. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom sink only seemed to have one temperature, scolding hot. When you put the water on the cold side, there was no water pressure. The room was a bit on the smaller side for a family of 4.

- Kim (9/5): Great Stay! - Great stay from the time we checked in until the time we checked out.We especially had a good experience with the staff in the Twisted Knot Cafe Lounge and the bar tender at the Top of the Strand Rooftop bar. The bar tender, Oscar, was professional yet fun. Although it's April and the weather was rainy and cold, the rooftop bar was still enjoyable. It was covered, so we were able to stay dry and warm but still enjoy the beautiful view of the Empire State Building. The Twisted Knot offers different activities such as complimentary wine tastings and board games. We had the opportunity to enjoy one of the wine tasting sessions. The atmosphere was cozy, clean, and relaxing. It has a fireplace that was needed since it was cold and damp outside. The hotel is conveniently located near major NY sites. We used Uber, but we also easily walked to get dinner one night. We booked a king room, not very big, just typical size for a NY hotel. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Because it was a Valentines weekend getaway, you were able to see the Empire State Building light up on Valentines Day/Night. The Staff also surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a birthday balloon in our room for my husband's 60th birthday. The Staff was very professional and courteous. Nothing

- Shara (8/5): - First time at this property, check in was commendable in efforts to assist everyone as timely as possible. Don’t go early to check-in, the hotel stays full until it’s time to depart. I expected personal touches during my stay, due to the concierge reaching out multiple times to ensure my stay would go well. That did not happen, they specifically didn’t even greet me. I got invited to a presentation for this type of facility but I was assigned a room that wasn’t renovated. Not a good marketing move. Best part about this property is the view of the Empire State Building from its covered rooftop. I’ll take the risk at another Marriott property, next time.

- Hadas (9/5): Superb - Great hotel - location was great. Loved the room, it was big and clean. Checkin is fairly late (16:00 PM). Elevators were slow and often loaded.

- Berenice (8/5): I would stay here again - -Location was great! - ALL staff were very friendly and helpful, I have never stayed anywhere where the level of service is so consistent. Particular mention to the repairs team who came immediately in the night on two occasions when we had reported issues - the soundproofing was great, the room doors are very close together so we were concerned about noise but we did not hear our neighbours throughout our stay apart from entering/leaving their rooms - room was always cleaned to a good standard - concierge was very knowledgeable - AC worked very well - fridge available to store any snacks or drinks - Full length mirror - rooms are small but this is normal for NYC - they will put a hold on your card in case of damages but this is released providing there are no issues with your stay, I had no issues with this and it was returned after a few working days. - rooftop bar was closed when we went - we did not have a good view from our room, we were facing another building and had limited natural light
