The grounds and decor of the property are beautiful, the food and drinks are amazing, but what really stands out here are the people!!! They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and like your part of their family. It’s what keeps us coming back! The only thing we think could make Hermitage that much better is having toiletries in the bathroom, spray deodorant, tampons, hair ties etc. as some rooms can be a trek to get to if forgotten and also sunscreen by the pool.
• 828desireel (10/5): Couples retreat - Our stay at Hermitage Bay was absolutely exceptional. The staff were beyond amazing—attentive, kind, and truly made us feel at home. The food was fresh and farm-to-table, with standout dishes like the marinated sweet peppers, and fresh sushi offered daily. We also loved the beautiful atmosphere created by the staff singing—such a memorable touch. We experienced both a hillside suite and a garden view room—both beautiful, though we would choose the hillside suite for the entire stay next time for the views and privacy. The drinks were fantastic, the spa services were top notch with incredible massages, and the romantic touches like outdoor showers and large soaking tubs made it extra special. Transportation to and from the airport, as well as into town, was seamless and convenient. The biggest compliment we can give—before we even left, we were already booking our return trip. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, luxurious escape.
• nataliewG8010LY (10/5): Perfect Honeymoon - We spent our honeymoon at Hermitage Bay - Antigua and could not have better things to say about our entire stay. As a reference point, we booked 2 nights at Hermitage Bay and planned to spend the rest of our week at another resort. Upon arriving at this other resort, we canceled that reservation to return to Hermitage Bay for the remainder of our honeymoon. It is that special. The view from our garden suite brought actual tears to my eyes. The suites had the most incredible views and the service was impeccable, from the spa treatments to the sushi happy hours to the evening bar cocktails and live music. We spent many afternoons on what felt like your own private beach, because it was so tranquil and the staff was available for any request. It was hard to leave the beach each evening, but we knew there was an incredible experience ahead of us with the sushi happy hour, dinner, and finally the musical numbers that play each night. Every staff members was so warm and welcoming, and we cannot wait to return back for an anniversary trip. Special shoutout to the front desk staff (Solange and Jaquan) for assisting us during our stay (and return!), Martin for escorting us to our room, and Kyle and Jesse for their service during our multiple lazy beach days. We cannot wait to come back to Hermitage Bay!
• patricklL8304YI (10/5): Flawless Experience - Our stay at Hermitage Bay was nothing short of Breathtaking! From the views, to the service, to the villa, everything was curated to 5 STAR experience! We can’t say enough about the attention to detail from top to bottom. One of our favorite parts was the resort has a max capacity of 60 people and offers what feels like, your own private beach. We would highly recommend this resort to anybody!
• hiramabif (10/5): Paradise found. - VIP treatment started within moments of getting off the plane in Antigua. Shortly after crossing the jet bridge into the airport, someone holding up a Hemitage Bay sign whisked us away, escorting and providing us with a "skip the line" pass at immigration, directing us to our baggage carousel, & rejoining us again before customs, and placing us in another fast track queue. Ten minutes after deplaning we were walking out the front door of the airport with our bags, where we were again met by another Hermitage Bay representative who confirmed our names and directed us into a luxury 4 x 4 vehicle that transported us 35 minutes to the resort in style. Its my understanding that Hermitage Bay includes this "meet and greet" service and transport (both ways) for any guests staying at their resort for 3 nights or more. We were certainly off to a great start. Our plane had been delayed before leaving the USA and I feared that on our first day we might miss the popular afternoon Sushi service at the Tree Bar, that had such rave reviews on this site and in several videos we watched online. Upon arriving at the resort we were escorted to reception and presented with a welcome drink, awaiting our orientation...but, since I inquired at that time as to weather we missed sushi, we were told it was just starting and immediately sent to join the other guests at the Tree Bar, effectively postponing any check in formalities until after the daily afternoon gathering...Sushi disappointment completely averted. Still in the jeans & street clothes we traveled in, we were happy campers, at an outdoor open air bar built around a Tree, on the sands of a very beautiful beach situated in an equally beautiful bay, with tropical drinks in hand, & fresh sushi between our chopsticks. The timesaving VIP meet & greet at the airport, waiting transport, and the thoughtful hospitality shown at reception saved the day! I should mention that we stayed on an all inclusive package, as did most of the guests we spoke to during our time there. Included in that package is all food, drinks, entertainment, beach chairs, some wonderful hospitality, non motorized watersports, and a (motorized) boat tour. I believe that a tour of their gardens where many of their fresh ingredients are sourced from is included for those who schedule one. (We did not tour the gardens.) Its my understanding that there is also a different bed & breakfast rate where people pay for lunch & dinner a la cart, and probably their drinks. I don't know the details of that. Everything we did, consumed, or imbibed was included in our room rate. There are some excursions and spa treatments (not included in the all inclusive package) available for purchase at an additional charge, including some pretty upscale ones like a dinner on the nearby island of Barbuda, flown there & back by helicopter. (Maybe next time... :) After sushi, we were golf carted to a nearby set of stairs cemented into the hill where someone carried our bags up for us to our villa where more oooohs and ahhhhhs ensued. Our villa was huge. I think that they're all mostly the same size and far enough away from each other to afford a reasonable expectation of privacy in the lush greenery surrounding them on the hill. Our private porch alone, sporting a truly killer view of the bay, the nearby islands, and an amazing sunset a little later on, was spacious enough to hold for a party for 20 people with a comfy outdoor couch, wrap around cushioned seating, a swing seat, a couple chairs you can really sink into, a coffee table and a sizable "decked in" private plunge pool with the same view as the porch, infinity style. There were two entrances into the interior of the villa, a locking side door to which we were given a key and sliding doors that lock from the inside that open up to our front facing porch overlooking the bay. His & her closets are provided with ample space for each's wardrobe. Our large bed, surrounded by mosquito netting that is lowered during turndown service in the evening, is positioned with a view off the front porch, unless the curtains are drawn, or the large screen TV, which is usually retracted into a cabinet at the foot of the bed is raised into its ascended position with the touch of a button. There are other screened wooden louvered windows that provide darkness or daylight as needed. The bathroom is also very spacious with 2 sinks, lots of counter space, a full length mirror that can be set to any angle, a luxurious bathtub, more of those screened louvered windows that provide light and a view when opened with no fear of sacrificing any privacy. At the far end of the bathroom is a locking door that opens onto a deck on the far side of the villa where one takes an outdoor shower. This is a super nice touch. We're not usually ones to spend a great deal of time in our hotel room, but with digs like these its a pleasure to hang out here, especially at sunset. And the tree frogs & crickets!...did I mention the tree frogs & crickets?...making beautiful immersive natural music to relax and sleep to every night from dusk to dawn. Incredible! Every morning started with waking up in paradise in our private villa (they're all private) with an idyllic view. Breakfast was from 7:30 to 10:30 and was yummy with different freshly extracted juice(s) of the day with lots of menu food choices and a full selection a caffeinated liquid creations. There are at least 3 resident kitty cats who share the breakfast and dinner spaces with the guests and look very well provided for...probably with smoked salmon, shrimp, and filet mignon. I really enjoyed my juice, tea, fruit plate, and bay wrap each morning. My wife varied her breakfast choices a little more with something different every day. Lunch starts at 11:30 every morning at an on-site open air restaurant on the beach called "La Petite Maison" a little further beyond where breakfast & dinner are served. And lunch is not to be skipped. The menu is exciting, the service is attentive, the food is fresh & well prepared, the setting on the beach is to die for, the craft cocktails are yummy & refreshing, and the live band performing every noontime we spent there knocked our socks off. We loved the "lobster salad" as did several of our fellow guests who said it was their favorite....its not what you think when you think "lobster salad". We ordered it more than once, as we did the burrata & tomato selection. I repeat: don't skip lunch...not here....don't miss it. I think its best that you arrive at this resort famished and skinny, because you won't be when you leave. I have no idea where we put all the food. Spend some time on the beach between breakfast and lunch, and then again after lunch to let your tummy settle. Maybe enjoy a cocktail, mocktail, or two, or three, on the beach served to you at your beach chair by the staff of the TreeBar. If you want a break from alcohol, or abstain altogether, they do have some very tasty smoothie craft quality mocktails available that I can personally recommend. (I can also recommend the alcoholic libations as well). At 4:30, people gather around the Tree Bar for Sushi. This was one of my favorite rituals of each day. Most of the socializing between different couples or groups of guests we witnessed at the resort took place at afternoon sushi, or after dinner at the lobby bar. On Tuesday we had really good live music at the Tree Bar during sushi time. Arseni, the resorts' personable Sushi Chef, who trained at Nobu in Marbella, Spain aims to please and is masterful in his daily preparations. They go well with the Tree Bar's cocktail concoctions. The afternoon before our last day, Arseni asked us if we would have any special requests, and then surprised us the next day with very delicious personalized creations, which we appreciated greatly, and made us feel special. I enjoyed our time getting to know him a little and also my discovering the fun facts that he not only trained at the famed Nobu Restaurant at the very resort we visited in Spain last July, but also, that both resorts, this one and that one, are owned by the same gentleman. I've learned to pay attention to coincidence. (A third coincidence, that I cannot ignore, was that on our flight back to the US from Antigua, I found & watched a movie documentary that I didn't know existed all about Nobuyuki "Nobu" Matsuhisa himself, one of our airlines' current available movie titles to choose from inflight.) My general impression was that all those who partook in sushi time at Hermitage Bay Resort really enjoyed it. Dinner started every evening at 7:30 PM in the same roofed in open air location as breakfast, and was nothing short of superb, as was the service...Fine dining, where some dressed to the 9s and others came a bit more casual. Each night we followed it up with drinks at the lobby bar where a live band performed. The bar staff sang some songs with the bands one evening, and they could really sing! ...like they belonged in the band. They were also very good at getting us to come out of our shells & enjoy ourselves. Hermitage Bay has some really wonderful people. Lastly I want to mention the boat tour that was included in out stay. I'm not sure if its always separate couples or groups on the boat at any given time, but I can say that when we went out at 10:30 one morning it was just my wife & I and the captain of the boat...a nice boat and a nice captain at that. I think most people choose to snorkel but she gave us our choice and since it was a little choppy and windy for snorkeling (you have to "swim" harder so as not to drift when the currents are stronger) we chose to tour the nearby bays instead and were given a picturesque and very informative tour. Now had there been other people on the boat that morning, who wanted to snorkel, I'm not sure we would have had that option, but we enjoyed it immensely. Antigua is a beautiful place, especially from the water, at least any of the coast that we saw. All in all this is a relaxing tranquil paradise where we were pampered and wanted for nothing, except maybe to stay a little longer. Our vacation continued on in Florida for another week before completely returning ourselves to reality, and as wonderful as it was to spend time with family and friends there, its safe to say that Hermitage Bay was the highlight of our holiday and the memory of it will linger until we're able to return again.

All the service was good though, and the food superb, especially at La Petite Maison- proper Provençal restaurant in the Caribbean! Loved the cocktails and live music in the bar after dinner - shame it wasn’t better supported some evenings

The floors now have a natural coir style carpet running through the living area, bedroom and into the whole bathroom. This was badly marked in the lounge area and the bathroom. The strangest thing is the bathroom being open plan to the bedroom/living area. There is no glass or dividing door separating the toilet from the bedroom. I am exceptionally comfortable around my husband but no one wants to be relaxing in the same room as someone using the toilet! Coordination is needed if you want any privacy. We were staying on a bed and breakfast basis and even after lovely long lunches (La Petite Maison was wonderful), cocktails, wine and dinner, we didn’t get anywhere close to the all inclusive rate so I’m surprised anyone would choose this as an option. We had a morning flight on our last day which meant leaving the hotel at 7am. We asked if we could pre-order a picnic breakfast, or have room service breakfast before we left, or pick up some fruit and pastries but were advised breakfast started at 7.30am with muffins and coffee at the bar area from 7am but nothing else could be done. All with a smile but no solution was offered. Maybe Hermitage Bay just wasn’t for us.

I’m hesitant to be too glowing because I am not sure I want the whole world to find this amazing hideaway. Waba’s incredible tour of the natural beauty of the landscape was memorable, he’s a keeper! Simone and Zoe were service standouts.

The beach is gorgeous, with a sandy shore and a few spots of cute shells. The food in all the restaurants is delicious.

The general manager Rachel has crafted a masterpiece in the Caribbean island of Antigua. This all inclusive resort defines luxury & relaxation with a sprinkle of kindness through culture. Management went above and beyond upon arrival to make my stay smooth and easy. I was dealing with some last minute issues outside of the hotel and the team was very understanding and helpful. Upon arrival I found myself arriving late without a view, but the following more being able to see the sunrise over the property is something you can’t forget. The rooms are large, fun and very accommodating for any size traveler. Rebecca and Micheal really went above and beyond to make sure I was able to have the best experiences on property possible. The spa and massage I had was one of the best I’ve had in a long time; their team is highly talented. Activities were also really great, I did paddling boarding, which, in their water is so blue it’s a fun morning activity. Resort food manager stayed extremely diligent, made sure everything was always on point, but also provided a relaxed vibe to the guests through the entire day & night. The sushi happy hour lived up to its hype, great choices and unique dishes. Just a near perfect experience. I can’t wait to come back & already miss everyone I got to meet there. The staff & team make this property one of my favorite. Thank you again!

Hermitage Bay is one of the highest quality resorts in the Caribbean. The staff are welcoming, professional and clearly enjoy what they do. The grounds are stunning and the accommodations have a great, relaxed island vibe, with all of the modern comforts that you expect at a five-star resort. While it's difficult to describe how relaxing and well-done the general atmosphere is, it is impossible to describe the quality and variety of Hermitage Bay's culinary offerings. We were there for 7 days/nights and didn't have time to try all that we wanted, which sets it apart from many all-inclusive Caribbean resorts. Daily dinner specials are varied and creative and the 4:30 sushi/cocktail hour is a highlight of every day. Even the breakfast and lunch menus, which don't vary on a daily basis, offer great variety. The bartenders and wait staff are friendly, funny and attentive. Live music everyday at lunch and dinner puts the experience over the top!! Our only constructive comment for improvement relates to the fitness center. While every other feature of the resort meets a five-star standard, the fitness center is cramped, poorly ventilated and has out-dated and/or malfunctioning equipment. It's actually a strange contrast to everything else at the resort and should be remedied. Hermitage Bay provides a top-tier Caribbean getaway. Their airport transfers are seamless and from the time you arrive to the sad time that you leave, everyone makes you feel like you are a repeat customer, which we now will be!!

From the moment you arrive and take in the gorgeous view of the Caribbean you will have a sense of instant relaxation. The staff is absolutely incredible and truly there for you at every moment that you need them. You can tell they all truly love what they do and appreciate where they work. We had a Ocean view hillside villa which was just beautiful with a pool and huge outdoor area overlooking the Caribbean with the most amazing views. The food is excellent and we never had a bad meal, we were lucky enough to be able to enjoy the pop up restaurant La Petite Maison, which was our favorite for delicious lunches while sitting at a table in the sand. Do not miss the sushi happy hour at 4:30 if you are a sushi lover! The chefs are amazing and the sushi is incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared! This was our first trip here, but we are certainly looking forward to looking out next one as soon as we get home!

They shared fun facts about Antigua and never tried to oversell anything — everything felt authentic and heartfelt. We tried four different water sports and loved them all. The resort’s daily snorkeling tours were amazing — you even get a quick motorboat ride and the chance to see some cool shipwrecks! Huge shout-out to Galloway and Tefari from the watersports team for helping us when we got stuck kayaking and paddle boarding. They were so calm and professional — we felt completely safe with them around. The spa teaser was also fantastic. The technician was very professional, and we left feeling totally relaxed. Sadly, we didn’t have time for a full spa session, but if you’re staying longer, don’t miss it! Lunch and the sushi happy hour were the best all-inclusive resort food we’ve ever had — fresh and delicious. The hotel also helped us arrange a horse-riding tour (with transport) that took us up a hill overlooking the Five Islands and ended at Hawksbill Beach — it was beautiful and absolutely worth it. There’s a small 5 % cash advance fee, but that’s very reasonable. We stayed four days and three nights and still didn’t have time to try everything. We’d love to come back soon！

Each villa is beautiful, very private, and honestly feels like a dream — spacious, peaceful, and perfect for switching off. The whole resort has such a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The beach and water activities are great, and you can now also rent boats to discover the island, which is such a fun experience and makes the stay feel even more special. One of the highlights for us was La Petite Maison for lunch — such a great addition and an absolute must while you’re there. A special mention to Tarek at LPM, who made the experience even better. Something that also really stood out is how hard the staff work to keep everything looking beautiful and comfortable at all times, even with the occasional rain, wind, and sand. They work effortlessly to ensure the hotel stays clean and pristine. Everyone is genuinely kind, helpful, and welcoming, which makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. • mandykormi (8/5): Beautiful Resort. Exceptional Staff. Shame about the cost cutting - This was our third visit to the resort, and it was as beautiful as ever. However, we did notice several cost-cutting measures that, unfortunately, detracted from the experience, leading us to doubt whether we will return. Pros: Staff: Exceptional. Although we were not recognised as returning guests at check-in, the resort staff treated us like family. Beach: Stunning—white sands and crystal-clear water. Rooms: All rooms are fantastic. The Beach Villa offers direct beach access, the Garden Villa provides seclusion with a plunge pool, and the Hillside Villas afford breathtaking views. Cons: The food was repetitive, having to order the same dishes on multiple occasions, which became monotonous. One evening, we ordered fish that arrived completely raw inside, requiring us to return to the kitchen. Staff acknowledged and agreed with us that it was very undercooked and offered us an alternative but the moment had passed. The steak varied in quality; one day it was perfectly cooked, the next overdone. The Deserts were amazing. The "catch of the day" was no longer available, as we were informed the fish was frozen, vacuum-packed, defrosted, and served on the same day. The lobster starter has been removed from the evening menu. When we raised our disappointment - one evening they recreated our previously favourite meal which we greatly appreciated. Additionally, a new pop-up restaurant, La Petite Maison, is now available to outside non-resident guests. While some items were very tasty, overall, the food was too heavy and rich for a lunchtime menu. The only alternative was ordering at the bar, which felt somewhat disjointed, being located away from the beachside. Service at La Petite Maison can be quite slow; we often waited over an hour for our main courses. It was not unusual for us to arrive around 12:30 and leave two hours later, having only managed two courses. At times, the food was lukewarm at best. Outside guests smoking at the tables. Mini Bar: Since our previous stay, some items have been replaced with cheaper brands, and certain treats like chocolates are no longer provided. While not essential, these small touches are appreciated. we requested a previous brand but advised they no longer supply. Gym: The equipment needs upgrading. For a five-star resort, the gym is inadequate—outdated, small, and in poor condition. The only two treadmills were out of order for the entire duration of our stay. Overall, while the resort remains beautiful and the staff outstanding, these recent changes have impacted the overall experience.

From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The spa services were spot on and enhanced our relaxation. The resort has a laid-back vibe, but is consciously eco-friendly. Water was always available in glass bottles. We felt cared for from morning to night, and it exceeded our expectations. The afternoon sushi hour was our favorite, and do NOT skip the omakase experience with chefs who have worked at Nobu.
• MJW72020 (4/5): Very disappointing experience: poor food and large, noisy group - This was our second visit to Hermitage Bay, and we will never return. I feel sad to leave this review as the staff are so kind, friendly, and hardworking, but standards are well below what we expect for a hotel charging such high prices. Service was usually very slow. One breakfast we arrived at 7.30, but our order for cooked eggs was not taken until well past 8.00 because of a shortage of waiting staff. Taking an hour and a quarter over breakfast is a waste of our time. In the evening we often sat with empty wine glasses as they have no wine waiter like other five-star resorts. The dinner menu choice is limited. We got bored with the food very quickly. We asked to meet with the head chef, Desroy, to arrange some dinner alternatives, but it seemed that he had left the resort. The usual Beach Club menu, with some healthy sharing starters, was not available, because a pop-up restaurant, La Petite Maison, has taken it over. The French menu was fine dining, but rather heavy, oily, and more suited to evening than lunch. The lunch restaurant is also now open to non-residents. At weekends, well over half of the diners were non-residents, who noticeably received much more attention from Tariq, the manager, than did hotel residents. Shockingly, some non-residents were allowed to smoke cigars and cigarettes in the restaurant, despite the hotel’s strict non-smoking policy. The live lunch-time band was also much too loud. The only other place to eat lunch was next to the bar, which had a snack menu, but on several days the hotel did not bother to lay tables there. The quality of food served was very variable. Sometimes very good, other times inedible. At the Caribbean evening our prawn skewer was served half raw and had to be recooked. One lunch when we order a medium/well done burger, it arrived bright red inside, black outside. In the evening, tenderloin streak was often overdone and almost cremated. The chefs were clearly overstretched in the kitchen. One reason for that is that the owner had a large group of friends and employees from his Spanish hotels staying (for free) at the hotel. (Staff told us that this happens a lot.) Each evening, they had a special table set up for them and received much attention from the chefs, while paying guests were kept waiting and served badly cooked food. This large group of young people were also often noisy, talking on their mobile phones in restaurants and the bar despite a notice in all rooms requesting that guests do not use cell phones in restaurants, bar and beach. There were some other problems compared to our previous visit. This year they had only one Hobie (Wave) cat. The other Hobie got damaged several months ago and still has not been replaced. That is not acceptable, especially when the owner has bought several expensive jet skis solely for his own and friends' use. Another disappointment was that last year the resort offered free boat and snorkel trips along the coast. This year you had to pay. Thank you to the hardworking staff who tried to help us, despite all our problems, but I fear that under the new owner, Hermitage Bay is no longer the exclusive, peaceful, and sophisticated resort it once was.

The resort, accommodations, food, spa, and most importantly, the incredible staff exceeded all of our expectations! The VIP experience at the airport both to and from was very much appreciated and added to the five star experience we had throughout our stay at Hermitage Bay. When we arrived, we were greeted with wonderful almond, scented chilled towels and a welcome beverage and cheerfully greeted by the staff and provided with much helpful information. Thank you to Salonge and Alicia and Michael and Rachel and others in management and at the front desk and member services who made our visit so special both before and during our stay. We also had the pleasure of meeting with the owner, Daniel, during our stay who was very welcoming and we think him and his wonderful team for such a memorable luxury vacation! We divided our stay between the hilltop ocean villa and beachfront villa and both were spectacular! We began our stay at the hilltop Villa and just opening the door and seeing the private pool and 180° views of the mountains and ocean were truly breathtaking! We loved the five star golf cart service from our villa down to the resort whenever we wished. Mark was wonderful! During our stay, any request we had was met with a smile and prompt service such as a bottle of champagne and ice bucket and glasses. The beachfront was also spectacular. Being able to walk out right onto the beach was a dream! The furnishings and decor are top-notch as the resort just underwent a $30 million renovation which is significant given that there are only 30 villas on the property. You can see the thoughtfulness that went into every detail of the resort. The housekeeping was impeccable and they came twice a day and no detail was overlooked. The food! Wow!! Hermitage Bay is definitely a five star experience! We typically started our day with a workout in the gym and or yoga or Pilates with Karen in the new yoga Pilates studio high on the hilltop with spectacular views. Tough workouts and great skill thank you Karen! The stunning views made the workouts more enjoyable! After workout, we went to breakfast beachfront and were always greeted promptly and joyfully by all staff members. The weight staff were always extremely friendly and knew that I was gluten-free and went out of their way to offer accommodations and suggestions. The food was absolutely delicious in service, exceptional! Lunch was a special treat and definitely exceeded our expectations. La Petit Maison has a pop-up at Hermitage Bay for December and January and we were lucky enough to be there during their stay. Live music every day for lunch with fresh coconuts and spectacular food like gluten-free pasta with truffles and fresh fish made us savor and appreciate every bite! Again the staff Was amazing thank you Tarek for your hospitality and Jamie and so many other wait staff. I wish I could name them all as they were all exceptional!!! Sunset sushi …WOW!!!!! Around the beachfront tree bar every late afternoon we went for sushi. That was the best we have ever had! I don’t eat raw sushi and the chef Carlos was outstanding in crafting vegetarian sushi for me while my husband indulged in all of the sushi. You can see the perfection and attention to detail with every piece and they were as delicious as they were beautiful! Thank you, Carlos you are amazing! There was another sushi chef the first day we arrived and he was also very talented and very appreciated! Congratulations Hermitage Bay on this very special and unique Component of the stay at Hermitage!! Some of the days during our stay, we were so full we didn’t eat dinner. However. when we did have dinner, the food was fantastic! Some days we just opted for the delicious harvest salad with a protein. Whatever we ordered it was delicious and always served with a smile and great service. There was live entertainment nightly which was great! Staff members are happy to take pictures or to do whatever it takes to make your experience the best it can be. This is an area where Hermitage Bay truly excels. We also loved the super friendly cats on the property, tiger and snowflake and enjoyed feeding them scraps of fish. They were so sweet and just delightful to have on the property. We loved the beach and the beach service. The pool was pristine and never crowded. The loungers are very high high-quality and have extremely thick padding which Provided for a luxury Beach experience. Kyle and Jesse were wonderful and always so attentive in setting us up on the beach and bringing beverages often before we needed to ask! One day I was walking down the beach and Kyle ran to catch up with me in order to bring me a fresh coconut! How thoughtful! It certainly could’ve waited, but he wanted to get it to me right away which I thought was really remarkable. All staff members seem to know our names and put in beverage preferences throughout our stay, which was outstanding! The spa is also new on the beachfront and is beautiful! I had read in reviews prior to arrival that Elizabeth was a great massage therapist and she certainly is! I booked an hour and a half massage with her on the deck of our beachfront villa that was pure relaxation in paradise! The snorkeling boat trip was lovely to get out on the water and learn more about the island. My husband also took out the kayak several times. Thank you to all at Hermitage Bay! This is such a Gem and a truly luxury five star experience if you want a beautiful beach, incredible food, and exceptional welcoming service in paradise this is your place! Positive Energy!!! Food was fresh and delicious and the sushi happy hour was one of the many highlights of the stay. All employees were so welcoming. Loved every minute of our stay. Our garden villa suite with plunge pool was very spacious and a 30 second walk to the beachfront. Can’t wait for our next visit.
• jonbM1699HH (6/5): Over-priced, underwhelmed - The beach is beautiful and the rooms are lovely (apart from the fact there is no glass in the windows so it is hard to keep the room cool!). Great watersports and good hiking near by. However, we found the food disappointing. The menu gets boring if you are there for more than a few days. Unlike other hotels we have stayed at in this price range they do not offer acceptable alternatives if you don't like the fixed menu. We don't like Sushi. This used to be a tranquil and exclusive resort, but the new owner has made many changes. There is loud music during lunch and dinner, and the restaurant is now open to non residents who arrive by boat. During our stay we met several travel agents and influencers. We actually paid for this trip. We have travelled widely around the world, both for leisure and on business, and the resort sadly compared poorly with other resorts in the Caribbean.

• canadianguy01 (6/5): High cost without the personalized service. Better options out there. - We've been going since 2020 but we are going to remove them from the future travel list. As a resort, they've lost the personal service that made the place really nice (most of the staff are amazing, it's the ownership / management decisions that aren't good). An issue for us is that they've become particularly inflexible with the menus, which make the food choices for us (dairy free, pescatarian) very limited. When I compared their all-inclusive rates to the Four Seasons rates (rooms plus food), they are quite a bit more expensive and that simply doesn't make sense for us. The benefits of the resort are it's quiet, secluded and they have some amazing staff. The negatives are at you'd really expect a small resort that is so expensive to have personalized service (like they used to).

• yellowmaple1998 (10/5): Viva Antigua - This hotel has the most beautiful setting with a beach lined with coconut palms and views of Antigua's green hills contrasting with turquoise waters. A recent renovation is tasteful but feels of the place and it's nice to see the original staff has been rehired. We loved our hillside room with its plunge pool and outdoor shower. Food is a standout here, from the platters of local fruits to the sushi hour at the beach hour. A bonus this winter is a popup lunch cafe, La Petite Maison, originally from the South of France, where the Mediterranean cuisine has been given a local twist: think mahi-mahi tartare and filet of red snapper, both freshly caught nearby (the white truffle rigatoni is also to die for).

I will be bringing my fiancé back because everywhere you look is STUNNING and this resort has the best food (Nobo “level) and it is so peaceful and relaxing! • ksJ8613YH (8/5): A solid 4.3 stars - I would rate our stay somewhere between a 4 and a 5. To me, a 5 indicates no room for improvement and that simply wasn’t the case but overall we had a very enjoyable stay. The good: - the landscaping of the hotel is beautiful and meticulously maintained. Stunning! - Service at meals was prompt (a rarity in the Caribbean). - For an all inclusive, the food quality was good. I wouldn’t say outstanding, but better than other all inclusives I’ve stayed at. We really enjoyed the specialty desserts at night as well. Also recommend the truffle rissoto and cod - really enjoyed the two theme nights - surf and turf and Caribbean night. Helped add some variety to the food during our stay - beach loungers easy to get & readily available. Plenty of space on the beach. Comfy lounge cushions on the chairs - room was big, spacious. Loved our patio right on the beach with the big lounge chairs. Amazing! - loved the outdoor shower - great turn down service at night - sushi happy hour at the beach bar was a super fun experience and included in the stay. The sushi was great - airport arrival experience and airport transportation was well organized and efficient - Simone & Kyle were the MVP’s of service. They took the time to learn our names, our drink preferences and provided exceptional service!!! Areas for improvement: - not a fault of the hotels but the bugs were awful. I wore bug spray all day and all night and still got tons of bites. Even at the beach there would be gnats constantly around our face unless there was a decent breeze that day - also not a fault of the hotel but for awareness the beach itself isn’t super soft. Plenty of shells etc. didn’t affect our stay but it’s not sugary soft sand - biggest area hotel could improve upon is service at the beach. We would sit down at our chairs and not one day did someone come bring us towels. Every day we had to walk over to the bar and ask after waiting for 20 minutes. They instruct you to put out a red flag if you need a drink. We did that and no one came (unless Kyle was working). So we’d have to get up and go to the bar and ask. There was one employee usually on in the morning that seemed genuinely annoyed when we asked for anything (ie towels or water…) as if it was an inconvenience to him. Also wish we could have ordered lunch at the beach but that’s not possible. The only bright side was times Kyle was working and he would come check on the guests regularly which is what I would expect from all employees at a resort like this - food was pretty good as mentioned above. But with only having 1 restaurant option, we did get a bit sick of the food by the end of 7 nights. I wish they would have had more options for rotating specials each night. - Hilton diamond status not acknowledged at all at check in. No upgrade. Neither a big deal at all but was disappointed our late check out request could not be accommodated - after our check out, we had to wait in the restaurant bar for hour and a half until our transportation to the airport and felt like we became ignored at that point. It was hot, and not a single restaurant employee that walked by us even offered us a water while we waited Overall a very very good stay but some slight tweaks in service above could take it to 5 stars.

Highly recommended. - We visited the pop up restaurant “La Petite Maison” at Hermitage Bay on 6th December 2025, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The setting offers an amazing view of Hermitage Bay, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxed dining experience. From the moment we arrived at the reception, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and Tarik, the restaurant manager, ensured everything was seamless. Our entire experience felt like a journey to the French Riviera, starting with petit farcis, mahi mahi tartar, and escargot, all made with the freshest ingredients and bursting with flavour. The main courses featured truffle pasta, king prawns, and lamb, each dish cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The desserts were delicious and the cheesecake is a must try! Highly recommended.

• TiffanyM103 (8/5): Beautiful, not a great value - My husband & I spent 7 nights in a hillside villa last week. Our stay included airport transfer to/fro resort. The last 20 minutes of the drive are on an incredibly bumpy, pothole filled road where the driver can go maybe 5 mph. My guess is they have not improved the road because it does keep local traffic down from coming to the resort, since there is a public beach access. When we arrived, we were quickly greeted & provided a welcome drink & a fresh cold rag. The property is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are lush with landscaping that is meticulously kept. The beach is very pretty with palm trees spread about. The water is clear. It is really so beautiful. There are some shells/rocks in certain parts of the water, I cut my toe so just use caution. The water is very deep just beyond the shore. We utilized the kayaks and the paddleboards during our stay which was fun! Our welcome host gave us a brief orientation to the resort, she was visibly being attacked by gnats & she was swatting them away constantly, quickly became apparent to us that there is a huge gnat presence. We brought bug spray with us & provide it in each villa but it only helps a little. The gnats devoured my husband during our stay. He came home full of gnat bites, I only had a few. There is one large pool at the resort & each villa has a private small pool except for the beach villas, no pools. No hot tubs, which we would have loved. Our small pool was quite cold and it was hard to enjoy. The view from our villa was stunning. Our villa was situated pretty high up the hill. I'm pretty fit & I was gasping with each hike up to our room. By day 3, I was over it & was wishing we had booked a beach villa. From that day, we utilized the golf cart transfers to our villa. The ride up and down is a little scary, especially on rainy days. It is a narrow road & a little steep. For anyone with any mobility issues, I could see this being very difficult. We had a wonderful massage one afternoon. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff. Everyone is so nice & pleasant, accommodating. It pains me to make a negative review but for this price I feel its important to help improve future stays. Upon arrival to our villa, it was steamy hot in our room and the air conditioning was turned off. We immediately turned it on and hoped things would cool off but it did not. We called maintenance who came & made an adjustment. It did work better but it never really got cold in our villa. Here is the problem...the windows have no glass, there are 2 windows in the bedroom with shutters and screens but no glass. The bathroom has many windows with shutters/screens but no glass. So the bathroom either stays stifling hot with no ac or you keep the doors open to the bathroom and lose ac in the bedroom. We struggled our entire stay to cool the room off. And then to make matter worse, whenever housekeeping comes which is twice a day, they shut off your air conditioning. The water in our tub was light brown. We also had a leaking toilet for two days before it was fixed. The first day no one showed, the second day they came at 8pm so we asked if they could come back the next morning which they did and fixed the toilet. The food was very good, we enjoyed most of our meals. On our fifth evening I became sick with some type of food poisoning that lasted for several days and my travel day home. I don't fault the resort for that as it can happen anywhere but I do question if the brown water played into this. We did not drink the water from the sink but we did brush our teeth with it, which was a mistake. Also, on day one, I told our host that I needed to purchase sunscreen in the boutique. It was late Saturday eve and she said it was currently closed. The boutique never did open during our stay. There is a boutique full of stuff but the store remains closed the entire time. On day 3 I was able to get someone to reluctantly let me in to purchase a sunscreen. Why have a boutique that remains closed? Lastly, not much entertainment in the evenings. Most people eat dinner starting at 7p. The band would start at 7:30 in the bar when everyone is in the dining room eating. Why not start music at 6 so that guests can come for a pre dinner drink and listen to music. We have stayed at many all inclusive resorts but decided to "splurge" since this place was a lot more expensive than other comparable places we have stayed. At over $2800/night we were not too happy to be sweating in our villa, with brown bath water. We feel like it is not a good value for the price. It was certainly not a five star property, in our opinion. Also, there were a lot of influencers and travel agents staying there during our stay, which we knew were staying for free or reduced pricing and we were one of the suckers paying full freight which was a bit frustrating considering the issues we had.

From start to finish, everything felt effortless, personalized, and genuinely special. Airport Experience: The moment we landed, the resort’s priority security service made everything a breeze. We were out of the airport within minutes—no stress, no waiting—and into a luxurious vehicle straight to the resort. It set the tone for the entire trip. Check-In: Check-in was incredibly smooth. We simply signed a document and headed to lunch while our room was being prepared. Because I was celebrating my birthday, the team surprised us with an upgrade to a Hillside Ocean View Pool Villa—one of the best rooms on the property. The view, the privacy, and the pool… absolutely stunning. I couldn’t be more grateful. Food: Every meal—from breakfast to lunch to dinner—was delicious and beautifully presented. We loved learning that so much of the ingredients are grown right on the property. Some highlights for us were the sea bass, the burger, and the cheesecake (truly unforgettable). Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Activities: All non-motorized sports and activities were included, which was a huge plus. The staff handling the activities were incredibly patient, friendly, and accommodating. Hotel Staff: This is where Hermitage Bay shines the brightest. Every staff member we met was warm, genuine, and happy to connect. Many have been with the property for years, and it really shows in how they treat guests. A special thank-you to Kyle, Martine, Simone, Anthony, Koshane, and Solange—each of them went above and beyond and made our stay unforgettable. Overall: Hermitage Bay is an incredible resort that delivers luxury, peace, and heartfelt service in every detail. We truly loved our time here and would love to return next year—this time for a longer stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, intimate, and beautifully run Caribbean escape.
• jennifere114 (10/5): Eden in the Caribbean (Nov 2025) - I recently got the opportunity to take my first solo trip to Antigua! The best decision I made was to splurge and book at the Hermitage Bay. From the property to the staff, everything was a dream vacation. The grounds were tropical and lush with beautiful scenic views from all sides. I was in a Hillside Villa (highly recommend getting Suite 35!) had views of the mountains and the bay every morning. The room was lovely with island decor an outdoor shower and deep tub (I appreciated it as a tall woman :). The staff were so warm and welcoming and made the trip truly memorable, they were accommodating and helpful with suggestions and anything needed on property. The food was great and had many options with a rotating menu throughout the week. Though I mostly lounged on the beach during the trip I got to do the Eco Boat Trip which took me to several of the outer islands (Antigua Adventures had a great crew who were entertaining as well as informative). Highly recommend this resort to all types of travelers! Heads up, as much as the staff try to prevent bugs and insects, be prepared to get bit regardless - that's the price of a jungle paradise.

The staff is unbelievably kind, and they somehow remember your breakfast preferences after one day. Waking up to ginger shots and protein drinks became my favorite little ritual. The beach is stunning, the water looks unreal and the live music in the evenings feels straight out of a movie. Don't get me started about my suite with the most magical views and the outdoor shower of my dreams... If you want a place that feels like nature, luxury and calm all rolled together, Hermitage bay is it. I already miss it and I will most definetly return!

The view is stunning - in room, on beach, at bar, poolside - you can’t escape the gorgeous landscape and beach front. The staff and their service sets Hermitage apart from other resorts. We were happy to see the same faces from our past visits. The new renovation just enhanced an already beautiful property - it adds a bit of modern day amenities and refreshed design. Hermitage is our home away from home and the only resort we plan to return to in the Caribbean.

Perfect for a special occasion or just a great vacation. The staff were kind and accommodating, especially the golf cart drivers who cheerfully drove us to and from our villa at the top of the hill multiple times a day. The in-room spa services were such a treat, and the masseuses were pure magic. A special shout out to Waba, who gave us a tour of the resort’s greenhouse and shared insights into its plants and sustainable food efforts. Augustine, the sushi chef, prepared some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, and made happy hour so much fun. We met other guests who had stayed at Hermitage Bay multiple times before, and it was easy to understand why. If you want to relax completely, stop thinking about plans, and just enjoy the vacation of your dreams - this is the place!

I had half-expected another overdeveloped Caribbean property, and was so relieved to find the complete opposite: Hermitage Bay feels intimate, low-key, and quietly luxurious. It actually reminded me of my youth growing up in South America and spending holidays around the Caribbean, the steel drums at dusk, the easy friendliness, the rum punch that hits exactly the right note. And for anyone wondering: yes, the sunset sushi is very much here. I’ve been enjoying it during my stay and it’s been excellent l, a lovely touch that fits the whole atmosphere of unpretentious indulgence. All in all, this place is a rare gem. The setting, the service, the authenticity… it’s hard to imagine leaving without wanting to come back.

It used to offer a genuine all-inclusive experience, with activities such as sailing and snorkeling tours included at no extra cost. The popular “Sushi at Sunset” experience, once a highlight frequently mentioned in reviews, now comes with an additional charge. Given the nightly rate, the resort should reconsider this approach—guests shouldn’t feel nickel-and-dimed for experiences that were once part of the package.

• cruisinkim (10/5): Where everybody knows your name.... - As a travel advisor who has experienced many resorts, I came into this trip with high expectations, knowing I can be a bit critical. I’m happy to say this place exceeded all my expectations. Our only regret was not staying another night since we split our time with another property on the island. The resort offers true barefoot luxury, and the staff embodies the warm, engaging, and attentive Antiguan spirit. We stayed in a stunning villa at the top of the hill, and while we had no specific expectations for the room, we fell in love with its unobstructed views and peaceful ambiance. The outdoor shower with its breathtaking view was the highlight of the suite. The meals were thoroughly enjoyable breakfast was fresh and delicious, and lunch at the Beach Club was a favorite. I wish this spot was also used for other meals or sunset cocktails. Evenings at the main bar were lively, with live music and guests dancing and socializing. A couple of things were slightly disappointing: the lack of a dinner dress code, as some guests wore backward hats, jersey shorts, and shower shoes, and one of the two treadmills in the gym was out of service, which mattered on rainy days when walking outdoors wasn’t ideal. Overall, it was a lovely stay. The entire staff was equally kind, but I’d like to give a special thank you to Jillian for the beautiful bracelet she gifted me. One suggestion for improvement would be offering coffee delivery to the rooms, as it was challenging to bring coffee back to our suite, especially when lids were unavailable. We would definitely return and look forward to the ongoing additions planned at this property with the new ownership.

The all-inclusive experience feels effortless, the ambience remains intimate and serene, and the staff—each and every one—somehow always know what you need before you even have to ask. Our days here unfold in the most perfect rhythm: lounging on the beach, relaxing by the pool, taking out the Hobie Cat, or simply catching up with our favorite bartenders, who now feel more like family. When we’re ready for a little adventure, we’ll head out on a day trip to Barbuda or enjoy the sunset cruise, which never fails to remind us how special this place is. This trip, we had the absolute pleasure of trying the Omakase Experience, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. Eight beautifully curated courses with perfectly paired wines and spirits, all presented by the head chef under the magical Tree Bar canopy. We’ve always loved the Tree Bar for sushi hour, but this experience elevated it even further. Sergio guided us through each course with warmth and precision—from delicate local fish and fresh sushi to lobster, tenderloin, and a matcha cheesecake so good it left us speechless. Rodrigo, the resident wine expert, paired each pour to perfection—his selections complemented every flavor flawlessly and added another layer of artistry to the evening. It’s safe to say we’ll be making this a tradition on every future visit. Hermitage Bay isn’t just a resort—it’s a feeling, a rhythm, a second home in paradise. • claredR5051BF (10/5): Pure Paradise - My husband and I spent 5 nights at Hermitage Bay and it was nothing short of phenomenal. Perfect to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or just life itself!! Breathtaking views from an incredible hillside suite. The staff is so friendly and personable. They truly make everything as easy as it should be on vacation - and fun. The food is amazing, especially sushi by Mario, hot sauce by Stoney and you must try the jerk chicken wings. We alternated between the pool and beach, plus tried out the stand up paddle boards and hobie cat. Everyone must visit at least once, but once you do, you’ll want to keep coming back ;)
• meghanr954 (10/5): Another day in paradise - This adult-only luxury 30 villa all-inclusive exceeded all of my expectations. Every person we interacted with was courteous and went above & beyond to make our stay incredible. The rooms are all completely updated and really nothing is needed (other than sunscreen - they were out, even at $45/bottle!) Highly recommend sunset cruise with captain Galloway, and taking out paddle boards, kayaks, or even a hobie cat alone or under the expert tutelage of captain Devan. Anthony & Simone kept our drinks flowing at the bar, Shawna and Solange helped with organizing external tours at the front desk. Weather was great, even in shoulder season. Too much wind for snorkeling while we were there, but could take a tour off resort if this is on your list. The food was excellent, including nightly sushi at the tree bar, the drinks were top shelf, and the minibar was stocked with goodies. Some annoying gnats to contend with at dusk, but bug spray is complimentary. I really loved this place, the friendly people, and the unbelievable scenery. Thank you HB for helping me celebrate a big health milestone :)

We were a little anxious to see all the changes that have taken place since new ownership came in. Many of the changes are good—glass doors on the fronts of the villas, new furnishings, a new restaurant. We were quite relieved and pleased to see many familiar faces. A few new additions, but all of the staff (and even one who came out of retirement 😊) were there. Hermitage feels like home and the staff work hard to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable.

I also had the best margarita I’ve ever tasted at the bar, and the sunset boat trip organised by the hotel was a real highlight of our vacation. Our beach bungalow was amazing had everything you could want in it and a fantastic view over the beach and bay. Will definitely return next year and would recommend it highly as a real treat full of luxury.

Rooms look lovely at first, but I didn't like the only shower being outside or the lack of glass in the windows. (We had to keep the shutters closed and hence the room dark to keep it cool), Not worth the crazy prices! Many of the guests we met were either Americans enjoying free nights on Hilton Honors points or were young couples on honeymoon, paid for by their parents. Perhaps if they had actually paid money, their reviews would be less glowing!

• 509daneg (10/5): A cut above - My husband and I have had great luck with several five-star Caribbean resorts (memorable ambiance, amenities, views, etc.) but Hermitage Bay proved to be a cut above. This personalized paradise was differentiated primarily by a genuine and dedicated host/staff team accompanied by an exceptional island-grown food and drink menu. Even on our last full day of the trip when the resort was battening down the hatches to brace for hurricane Erin, the experience remained beyond exceptional. 10/10 will visit again.

The new Tree Bar and beach restaurant are gorgeous additions, the rooms are more stunning than ever, and the calm, picture-perfect bay is pure paradise. Staff are warm, polished, and genuinely engaging — you can tell management hires the best. Delicious food, perfect cocktails, and unforgettable views… this is luxury at its finest.

Very exclusive and private villas. The grounds are lush and natural, but what makes this experience so special is the staff. Every team member on property is friendly, engaging and truly cares about the guests experience. The entire staff is amazing but we have to give special shout outs to Simone, Zoe, Kyle, Loretta, Patricia, Keva, and Stoney, who happens to have the best hot sauce. Thanks to this incredible team who made our stay so memorable and will have us returning.
• Sculptress64 (10/5): A Perfect Romantic Escape - Our stay at Hermitage Bay was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The people here are some of the warmest and kindest we’ve ever met — always ready to help with anything we needed. We wanted for nothing: drivers, activities, delicious food and drinks, it was all seamlessly arranged. The live entertainment throughout the day and evening was excellent, adding to the relaxed, joyful atmosphere. We stayed in a hilltop villa with its own private pool, and it was nothing short of amazing — gorgeous, luxurious, and wonderfully comfortable. Inside, we had both a coffee maker and an espresso machine (which inspired me to buy one for my home), plus snacks and chilled drinks stocked in our fridge. Every detail made us feel completely pampered. Hermitage Bay is an incredibly romantic destination. We left feeling refreshed, spoiled, and already dreaming of our next visit. We would return in a heartbeat.

• 436paigee (10/5): Could not have DREAMED of a more incredible honeymoon spot!!! - My new husband and I spent our honeymoon at Hermitage Bay and could not have more positive things to say about our experience! First, the resort and beach is absolutely gorgeous. We felt like we were living in a screensaver-- every moment was so calm, peaceful, and relaxed. It's obvious the resort was designed very thoughtfully and intentionally and it is impressively well kept! Everywhere you look is a beautiful view, not to mention the resort is decorated with modern and chic furniture while still maintaining a tropical atmosphere, which is very much my vibe. Second, the suites are as luxurious as they advertise. We stayed in a hillside pool suite and had the most STUNNING view we've ever seen in our lives. I've attached some photos which don't even begin to do it justice, but when choosing your suite I would highly recommend the hillside pool villa. It adds such a special touch to what is already an amazing resort. We spent a ton of time in our plunge pool and definitely feel these suites are superior to the beachside ones, though we met plenty of couples who enjoyed the beachside as well! Third, the food is 5-star at every meal. They somehow manage to make something as simple as a club sandwich look and taste gourmet. Typically at all inclusives we've stayed at in the past we'd get sick of the food by the end of the week, but not here. Although there is only one restaurant, there are plenty of options at every meal and seriously everything we ate was delicious. They also serve different meals in different locations so you get a change of scenery, which is really nice. One standout dining experience at Hermitage Bay is the sushi happy hour every afternoon, where the most fresh, authentic-tasting sushi we've ever eaten is served. This was one of the things that led us to decide on this resort and it did not disappoint!! Fourth, the staff-to-guest ratio has to be something like 5 to 1. Not only is there plenty of staff to accommodate your every need, but they are so friendly, kind, and just a joy to be around. Everyone is so invested in you having an amazing time and it shows. There is also live music every day and night which was so enjoyable and added something really special to the atmosphere. The level of service you get at Hermitage Bay is, in our experience, unmatched. Finally, while there are plenty of water activities/excursions you can add onto your stay, in my opinion, none of them are necessary. We jetskiied and went on a couple boat excursions (which were great!) but my favorite days were the ones we spent only at the resort. Between meals, the beach, pool, and your own plunge pool (if you stay in a hillside suite), your days feel plenty full and relaxed, which is why I like to go on a tropical vacation in the first place. Though I've done my best, my words certainly fall short of conveying the truly magic experience we had at Hermitage Bay. This place is worth every penny and we hope to return for several anniversaries in the future!!

• Inspire37425204197 (10/5): Wonderful intimate resort! - The accommodations, amenities and staff made our trip to Hermitage Bay so wonderful! The staff was exceptional and we loved how intimate it all was! We enjoyed a boat ride and lounging on the beach, the resort pool or just our private plunge pool! The weather was windy but there were places to escape to hide away from any sand or brief rain. I would say that if they could add additional rinsing areas from when you leave the beach, it would be helpful. I only saw one and it was at the entrance to the lobby/bar area. The daily sushi was such a treat and Jose made that a fun experience while the bartenders made wonderful cocktails! I’m still dreaming of the spicy passion fruit margarita! We stayed in a hillside suite and had a gorgeous view or the bay and sunset! The room had a spacious bathroom and expansive outdoor area with lots of lounging options. They took care of sticking to mini bar and house keeping was wonderful. The sinks did seem to leak slightly if you didn’t turn it just right and I wish there would have been a larger fan in the bathroom since the windows were only screened. The bed was comfortable and they offer additional pillow options and blankets. There was plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe section but i would have like doors or something to close them away. The food was plentiful and so fresh! We enjoyed the farm to table options and the fresh fish! We ordered room service for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it all arrived quickly and stayed warm. Our coffees and drinks were also so fresh! The entertainment while dining was also so good! Our last night had an amazing band and vocalist that we enjoyed while sipping drinks at the bar. We had visited Antigua before and were excited to return, and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay!!
• 220murphyh (10/5): - Book it! The resort itself is amazing, the views, service, rooms, etc… are all exceeding expectations. Zero complaints. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of for you. We stayed in the ocean front suites, no regrets about not having a plunge pool, the ocean and resort pool are both just steps away. As amazing as the resort is, the food is what sets Hermitage Bay apart from other nice hotels we’ve stayed at. We were nervous about getting “tired” of the food being here for five nights, but the menu changes daily and is incredible. Easily some of the best food we’ve had at any restaurant, it doesn’t feel like it should be all-inclusive. The sushi at 5:30 every day is a great cocktail hour/pre-cursor to dinner.

From landing in Antigua, to each meal and Hugo Spritz (shoutout to Chelsey!!), to a special birthday dinner and dessert, a private boat cruise, and every minute in between, the staff at Hermitage went beyond my wildest dreams. Oh, and the SUSHI!? Highly recommend the hilltop villas for the unbelievable views + our man Anthony helping us get down every day with ease. Don’t hesitate, this place really is the real deal. Book it!!!!
• ardeec (10/5): Run, don't walk, to book a reservation at the Hermitage Bay. - My wife and I have been blessed with a shared love of travel and a desire to explore the world. So far, we've never visited a country twice. Within 24 hours of arriving at the Hermitage Bay, we both knew we would be back. The photos of the water, the property, the villas, and the food do not do it justice. We weren't unique in this regard. Most of the couples we met during our time there have been at least twice, with one couple celebrating their 17th visit! Why do they come back? I'm guessing for the same reason I hope to as soon as possible: the people. Yes, the food IS as good as it looks (unlike so many all-inclusive resorts), and YES the Sushi IS from a Nobu chef (the parent company of Nobu now owns the resort), but that isn't what stole our hearts. It was the staff of the Hermitage Bay. At every other resort we've visited, we make a list of the 1-3 people who really went above and beyond in their hospitality - the individuals who genuinely enjoyed their job and wanted to make every moment memorable. At the Hermitage, we had trouble keeping track of all the staff we wanted to mention in our review, as every interaction was a case study in how to excel in the hospitality industry. With many of those we met we felt we weren't just customers, but friends as we talked about life, kids, work, etc. By the time our visit was drawing to a close, we took photos with the staff so that we could show our friends and family those who made our time so special. As I imagine our next visit (hopefully soon) I look forward to seeing their faces again and catching up. That isn't something I'm used to saying about a five-star resort. Or any resort for that matter. Staff like: Jaquan at the front desk. His smile is infectious, and his passion for life is evident the moment you meet him. Solange, the concierge whose laugh and joy made every day brighter and who arranged every activity, tour, and our villa selection so that it surpassed our dreams. Jillian, one of the dining managers who knew our names the moment we arrived and went out of her way to check in on us, especially when my wife missed a sushi meal one afternoon. Kempton, the Assistant Manager who has been at the resort since it opened, talked at length with us about all its changes, its future, and his fantastic team. Stoney, one of the amazing bartenders who also created an incredible Caribbean hot sauce (his grandmother's recipe) that you can request at meals or buy a bottle to take home from the Boutique (I did and it is already half-gone!) Koshane, another incredible bartender, made custom smoothies all week long for us along with fantastic cocktails. Desroy, one of the amazing chefs who always took time to check on how the meals were tasting and whose love of cooking could be tasted in every bite. Also Kyle, Alicia, Simone, Elizabeth, Annette, Jessie, Shemar, and Kawhisi. As well as others whose names I didn't manage to write down. Other resorts rely on their location or food to get you to come back, but at the Hermitage it is each of the people you meet who will make you want to make this your vacation home. TIPS: - Book a couple's massage in the room. Our masseuses, Janelle and Elizabeth, were professional and INCREDIBLE. Truly the most relaxing experience and worth every penny. - Book an island tour. Our tour guide Luz knew so much of the Island's history and the best places to go to experience the island. - While in St. Johns, visit Dara Dara, a lovely boutique with hand-made purses, dresses, and jewelry. I hope you get to meet Dara herself, just as we did. Her artistic flair and passion for her craft are unforgettable. Don'ts? I honestly can't think of a thing. The only hesitation I had in writing this review is that it may contribute to making the Hermitage no longer the Caribbean's "best kept secret and I won't be able to find a room! But that is a risk worth taking because keeping a treasure like this to ourselves would be a crime.

The staff is friendly and warm. They go out of their way to ensure the guests are well taken care of and happy. The food is incredibly fresh with a well balanced menu that will appeal to everyone. We are so sad to leave, and we’re already planning our trip back next summer.
• Bosco2010 (10/5): A Slice of Paradise – Even Better the Second Time Around - As soon as you walk through the entrance at Hermitage Bay, a deep sense of calm washes over you. With the hotel nestled directly along the water, it becomes almost effortless to disconnect from the outside world and truly unwind. This was our second visit, and the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us by name and remembered details from our previous stay. That personal connection made the experience even more special. We stayed in a hilltop villa again, and it remains the perfect spot for relaxing in privacy with stunning views. The beach itself is quiet and serene, it feels like you're on your own private stretch of sand — a rare feeling at a resort. The food continues to impress. While our first visit featured a new menu each night, this time there was a set menu with rotating specials and the addition of daily sharing plates, which were incredibly fresh and delicious. The desserts, in particular, are not to be missed! The new beach bar for lunch and the evening sushi offerings are fantastic additions that elevate the dining experience even more. One of the best compliments we can give Hermitage Bay is that we were just one of five returning couples during our stay. It speaks volumes about the kind of lasting impression this place makes. It really does check all the boxes if you're looking to relax and spend quality time with your significant other. We also appreciated that the room had been updated since our last visit — a subtle reminder that the resort continues to evolve while maintaining everything that makes it so special. We can't wait to return again.

Grounds are stunning and suites are wonderfully decorated, with have the best bathrooms and have the best views, even our outdoor shower. Beach is quiet and is like a private beach with the best snorkeling just steps from the beach loungers.

Alisa, the Reservations Agent, responded remarkably quickly, providing comprehensive menu lists. Understanding that vegetarian and vegan choices can sometimes be limited compared to non-vegetarian selections, I followed up, asking if the chef could offer additional tailored options. Later that very day, Alisa responded again, confirming she had personally spoken with the chef. She assured me the chef would create a custom menu perfectly suited for both my wife and me. This proactive and personalized approach is, without a doubt, the hallmark of quality service. Alisa's effort goes a long way in showcasing the exceptionally high standards of Hermitage Bay. She is truly a five-star staff member, and her dedication has solidified our decision. We are now very much looking forward to booking our vacation shortly, eager to experience the hotel's ambiance, savour its culinary delights, and meet more of its wonderful staff. The service was the star, but the beach, huge suites, food & drinks, music, and overall vibe was just unbelievable. We’ve travelled pretty extensively and we can’t say enough about this place. Anything you want and they will get it for you. The sushi cannot be missed. Minor improvements could be done to make the bed more comfortable, ours was very hard, but everything else was just so outstanding. Shout out to the PEOPLE that made this vacation outstanding.
• shannonetherton (10/5): Spectacular Experience - One of the most serene experiences I have ever had at a hotel. The Hillside Pool Suite was a perfect escape and so much more than just a hotel room. I felt we had complete privacy with the most beautiful views. The water sports and sushi experiences were second to none and were the perfect addition to our fabulous stay! I truly felt like the staff were friends who I want to visit over and over again! A special shoutout to Anthony, Simone, Judith, Jamie and the entire team. It was an absolute honor to get to know the General Manager Rachel Brown who has built a team not only built on quality and service but on creating a sense of family that you want to return to over and over again.
