- philgJ3716TR (10/5): Top Hotel in a Great Location - Our first time in Vietnam and this hotel got us off to the best possible start. The room was excellent, quiet and great value for such a good location (just a 5 minute stroll down to Train Street). The hotel is on quite a busy road, but once you step inside, peace and quiet takes over. The staff were excellent on reception and in the restaurant. Breakfast is excellent and we ate in the restaurant too which has a lovely atmosphere and is well patronised even though there are plenty of alternatives in the nearby Old Quarter. Other features - a very attractive rooftop bar area and an outdoor swimming pool on the 7th floor.

The staff are a complete joy which really does make the place feel special. I just wish we'd had more time here so I could've tried the 7th floor swimming pool and enjoyed more negroni's on the 10th floor sky-bar. Would certainly stay here again.

The hotel is beautiful & romantic, and the rooms are clean & spacious, but the staff here is what makes this place special. They have made us feel so welcomed by assisting us in arranging transportation, meals, (several) spa appointments, & laundry. There are too many people to name but a special thank you to Jane, Anna, & Christine who have been so helpful and friendly. In the restaurant (Essence), Mina, Sunny, and many others were so eager to make our lunches and dinner memorable. We will definitely be staying here when I am back in Hanoi.

The staff are absolutely fantastic - I cannot think of one who didn’t make you feel special and had a warmth about them that you don’t often find these days. The Spa, Sky Bar and the restaurant were all 5 star experiences as well. The 2 rooms we stayed in over 2 stays either side of a trip to Ha Long Bay were stunningly presented and thankfully on checking out your room is checked by a member of staff to make sure you have not left anything behind which I did - both times and leaving my passport in the safe wasn’t my proudest moment !! If you are ever in Hanoi this Hotel will not disappoint you John.

Today my granddaughter and I had tickets to the water puppets, arranged for us by hotel staff. Standing outside the hotel, I ordered a Grab, but it quickly became clear that cars were in short supply and we were unlikely to get to the performance in time. The staff had been watching and obviously realised we were in trouble. Susie, the receptionist, organised two of the staff to take us to the theatre on their motor bikes. Unbelievably kind and generous!!! This was over and above their duty and I can only say you will be lucky to stay here!! Beautiful hotel, great restaurant and truly amazing staff.

The staff was really welcoming and helpful, and the location of the hotel was in my opinion perfect. Everything is walkable, but with Hanoi traffic you need to be brave. The Spa was great, as we did a 90 min treatement there, highly recommended and affordable pricing. The restaurant was good both forthe breakfast service and dinner. Very kind and service happy staff. The skybar was also visited almost every evening. So we would come back and visit for sure.

The hotel is built very much in the quaint French boutique style and is very comfortable. The friendly, helpful service was amazing. All the staff went over and above to provide a simply incredible experience - nothing was too much trouble. I hurt my back on the second day and was promptly whisked off to a nearby private hospital, where a physiotherapist provided magical relief. A huge big 'Thank You' to Laura, who arranged all of this. We had 2 nights at Halong bay in the middle and the hotel staff were very helpful storing our luggage during that time. We had an interconnecting room that had 1 main entry door. Master bedroom was good size, kids bedroom a little smaller but we had a hallway connecting the 2 rooms where we could put our luggage etc which was very useful. The breakfast was delicious and the decor in the restaurant was beautiful. The staff at the hotel were all lovely, especially Suzie and Laura on the front desk and the porters were always friendly and welcoming. Rooms serviced everday and they restocked the fridge daily with free soft drinks and water. We loved the location of the hotel, just couple mins walk to Train Street and a few minutes further to the start of old Quarter. It was a 23 minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend.

It has beautiful decor and is extremely clean with very comfortable beds and a cute little balcony to watch the world go by amongst the green trees.. The breakfast is fresh and tasty, with great variety. The roof top bar is a terrific place to watch the magnificent sunset. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful and Tony especially went out of his way to make our stay as pleasant as possible and was always happy to chat and advise us on trips and activities. The pool was a definite bonus. I would recommend staying at this hotel, especially if you want a little respite from the noise.

Once done, she came to us with welcome details, including a setting us up with a brilliant guided food tour that evening. A perfect start to our visit. We never had to touch our bags from the moment we arrived, nor during our checkout. Our departure was in the evening, so we checked out at noon, explored some more, returning to meet our driver for the airport. I decided to book in to the Aira (which was great) and we spent our last two days taking in the serene restaurant the Essence on our last rainy days in Hanoi. The food was incredible with local meals, the menu was vast but carefully selected the service impeccable and the work the chefs do is amazing. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner and each time was delightful. Even if you aren't staying at the Aira I'd recommend booking in to eat at Essence.

The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Before we arrived we arranged several tours and transport through Anna at the hotel, who was wonderful. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish and we particularly recommend the Hanoi day tour. Anna, Tom and every member of the team were friendly, helpful and professional at all times and couldn't be faulted. We ate a few times at the restaurant which was very good, as was the Spa which you can pre book. The hotel is a short walk from Train Street but is also away from the noise and bustle. Highly recommend.
- Sekok (10/5): Cozy and strategically located - We booked a "double room with balcony" for five nights at Aira Boutique. As check in was on Oct 19th very early morning, we booked an extra night to have room & breakfast immediately upon arrival. We settled comfortably on the 6th floor in an immaculate, reasonably sized and cozy room, tastefully furnished and with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was tasteful, with many dishes both as buffet and prepared à la minute. All staff were really charming and helpful and we had a great stay. The hotel location is quite strategic, a few steps away from “Train Street” and allowing to comfortably stroll around many city hotspots just by walking. Food & SPA offer in Hanoi is overwhelming. We took full advantage of that by booking a massage both at Aira as well as at L’essence de Cuisine (located on 99B Hàng Gai) where we also dined, experienced good food and excellent service. We also dined at MIAs restaurant - under all aspects top notch and warmly recommended - (located on 22 Bao Khanh) and at popular Rice Bistro (located on 32 P. Hàng Mành, Hàng Gai) where we however struggled a bit because of the limited choice of dishes with no meat and, in particular, no pork mixed with fish.

Well appointed clean rooms, in a great location close to Train Street in the old city. I had Junior suite which was just a bigger room with a small balcony big enough for one person (I guess good for smokers). Hotel also has a small pool and gym along with a roof top bar and excellent resteraunt. The breakfast offering was also good. The thing that impressed me most was the staff, special shout out to Tony who booked some tours for me and changed one when l was unwell, he even accompanied me to get some medication to speed D my recovery, l thought this was above and beyond the level of service l expected - thankyou ans well done! I highly recommend this property for a comfortable, memorable stay.

- annawQ8095MW (10/5): Amazing. Renovated luxury hotel in the heart of old town. - This hotel underwent a two year renovation during Covid. Everything is new, including the plumbing, and beautiful. The staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful. We spent an entire week in this hotel, and I would not change anything. It was a wonderful stay — right in the heart of the old district with clothing, tailors, restaurants, the train Street only a block away, in-house Spa And Massage, and lots of eateries and crafts and night markets nearby.

- 172stevenm (10/5): Above and beyond customer service - Loved our stay at the Aira, staff all super friendly and happy to help, room was a good size for the price and very clean, some complimentary daily drinks. Location wise, fantastic, short walk away from famous train street, you can get to most of the most popular eateries within a 15min walk (once you get used to navigating that traffic...) or a 50k vnd taxi. Surprised at how quiet the room was considering the traffic outside, couldn't hear anything aside from the aircon.

Arranged a private car both ways from Ha long Bay with a few unexpected changes on our end due to weather. But they made it seamless. Good location for walking and exploring. Would stay again and highly recommend.

- di0nysz (10/5): The AIRA Boutique Hotel is an absolute gem - The AIRA Boutique Hotel is an absolute gem. Everything is exactly as one would expect from a hotel of this category. Reception The staff are always helpful and friendly. They remembered where we had been and asked how our day trips or shopping tours went, even suggesting what could be improved. For spontaneous excursions, we could always rely on the reception for assistance – most things were organized promptly and with great care. The doorman was consistently friendly and attentive. Rooms & Cleanliness The rooms are spacious, well equipped, and everything worked perfectly. Our room faced the street with a balcony, yet thanks to excellent sound insulation we only heard the occasional very loud honk. Cleanliness was impeccable, and housekeeping always made sure we had everything we needed. The Essence Restaurant & Sky Bar At the restaurant, we were always warmly welcomed. The staff explained the dishes in detail and even gave us a small crash course in Vietnamese culture – for example, how to say thank you in Vietnamese or where the dishes originated from. The food was outstanding and left nothing to be desired. The price–performance ratio is excellent. The Sky Bar offers a fantastic view over Hanoi, with covered seating available even in the rain. We had a wonderful time with the staff there, who shared personal stories and gave us a deeper insight into their culture and country. Spa & Pool The pool is located on the 7th floor and is beautifully sheltered by a painted ceiling. It was a lovely place to cool off, even when it rained. We also enjoyed two massages during our stay – everything was spotless, and the massage-therapsists were motivated and professional. Conclusion We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. We enjoyed perfect five-star service and are deeply grateful to everyone who made our stay so comfortable and memorable.

We made a mistake in our booking but the hotel manager was very accommodating and understanding to address our error. They even offered us to free breakfasts even though the booking error was our mistake. The rooms are very clean. The bar on the 10th floor is an awesome vibe. - Sam (10/5): - Hotel was lovely and the facilities were great, the staff were extremely helpful sorting Sims and taxis etc. within easy walking distance of the train street and old quarter and equally as easy to access the museums and other attractions. The restaurant is good but more expensive than you would generally pay in Hanoi and the sky bar make nice cocktails and have nice beer on tap. All around great experience.
- HEE JU (10/5): Awesome start to our first visit to Vietnam! - Even before we got on the plane to Hanoi, Jane Vuong from the Aira Boutique Hotel in Hanoi was helping me plan our trip. Not only was she the one who arranged for our pick up from the Hanoi airport to Aira hotel, and back to the airport to fly to Danang, but also a 9 person limo van transport from our hotel in Sa Pa back to Hanoi when I was not staying another night at Hanoi. She even suggested a better departure time so that we would not arrive too late for our transport to Ninh Binh. My husband was shocked at this service above & beyond!! The VIP tickets to the water puppet show she arranged was at the front desk when we arrived. The seats were 2nd row in the very middle! She checked to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. I love to stay in nicer boutique hotels overseas whenever possible - we are seen as true guests instead of as a room number. Although we arrived past 10 pm, a hotel staff member was waiting outside to open the car door with a smile & help with our luggage. The young man at the front desk was aware of our late arrival & checked us in with his very good English. Beautiful front lobby. Our room was surprisingly roomy especially at this price point at such a beautiful hotel in the tourist area in a major city. Very clean & the decor was tasteful throughout. New luxurious bedding, soundproofed room with blackout drapes! Well maintained with SUPER A/C, plumbing &fridge. Safe & convenient but not too loud location on edge of Old Quarter.

Super clean, beautiful and the bed was huge. We loved it.

We were delayed heading to the hotel from the airport and they kept checking-in with our driver to ensure that we were OK. We only stayed for one night and did not get to enjoy all the amenities, but overall the hotel is nicely decorated but a bit outdated with a moldy/musty smell throughout. The breakfast buffet also did not impress us and it was the first time we did not like the coffee in Vietnam. Overall a nice option but could use a few updates.
