- Verified traveler (8/5): Walk to The Vatican - It was a pleasant stay. My biggest issue was parking. When searching for a room, I chose "free parking" as a search parameter. When we arrived there was only very little street parking available or a 20euro per day parking garage nearby. The breakfast was nice, and the building was secure. The bathroom needed some work. The shower had a bit of mildew around the bottom edge, the shower assembly fell down twice, and the toilet paper holder was loose. Linens and beds were comfy, and we spent most of our time outside enjoying Rome, so the little things wrong didn't matter so much. Grazie!

However...we felt the place was a bit small for 4 people with only room for beds and felt very crowed with the luggage and all, may be good for only sleeping a couple of days. The host also arranged transportation from and to the airport which was convenient.

A breakfast of cereals and pastries with tea and coffee was provided upstairs every morning. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

- Verified traveler (6/5): hotel a san pietro - clean, comfortable, breakfast very sweet, bread not fresh and the fizzy orange left over days and was flat by the end of our stay. Knives, forks and spoons placed on the table by the fingers from the incorrect end of the cutlery and so not very good in so far as hygiene is concerned. Sachets of bubble bath but there was no bath and no shampoo and conditioner would have been a better choice. Gave me a bill for the whole amount even though I paid in advance which going through a company such as expedia should have been a given awareness. There phone was always engaged and asked for a bit of help to phone the shuttle bus as I couldn't get through. Arrived up to receive this small assistance and within 3 minutes he was gone never to return. The cleaner woman did a fine job but on one occasion left my room door unlocked, not very happy with that as you can imagine.

- kelly j (8/5): Great stay in Rome for two families in two rooms - My brother and his family and my son and I had two rooms. The rooms were very clean the owner was very friendly and called the day before to coordinate our arrival and welcome us. The hotel was an easy walk to Basilica. Parking was half a block from the hotel and it was inexpensive and secure. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The only minor issue was that the A/C was not extremely cold. I was comfortable sleeping, but the A/C was not very strong. The weekend we were there, the heat was exceptionally bad, but it cooled down enough to be comfortable.

Manuella s'est occupée de nous jusqu'à l'arrivée à l'hotel (taxi, transfert aeroport...), Jonhatan lui s'occcupera de vous pendant le séjour, se plie en deux pour vous satisfaire. Hotel, simple, propre et surtout idealement placé, à deux pas (marseillais), disons 5 à 6 minutes de marche. A refaire...'

- Leah (6/5): Small B&B, Walking distance to the Vatican. - Small room but air-conditioning is sufficient which you need in the summer. Small bathroom and towels are very thin. It is advertised as bed & breakfast but what we got is a coupon for breakfast at a deli a few blocks away. Breakfast consist of either a cup of coffee or a croissant so the breakfast part is disappointing. On the last day of our stay my husband went up to the 3rd floor to settle the bill, he said there were a few people having breakfast of cereals and pastries by the "office" so I certainly wondered why we got the breakfast coupons at a very unfriendly place to get croissant or coffee. We didn't go back for breakfast after the first day. Taxi had a very hard time finding the address and taxi driver had to call Manuela (the proprietor) for directions and she came out of the building. Proprietors are helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great place. - Great place to stay. The service was great and very helpful. The room was clean with a comfy bed and nicely updated. The breakfast was great each morning as well. The only reason for my 4/5 rather than 5/5 stars is that the room we chose was quiet small and hotel was a challenge to find. It could get loud off the streets but that didn't bother me too much and I enjoyed hearing The Vactican bells each morning. The neighborhood was quiet and not so full of tourists for the most part which we liked, yet there were still food places and shops open late if we wanted to go out close. Rome is very spread out as a city but this was a good location for us because we like to walk and it was close to The Vatican but we were still able to walk across town to all the major landmarks as well (it was a trek but we managed). All and all very pleased.

Lits twins interverti par un lit double suite à une erreur de réservation de notre part. Chambre très propre, mais: lits trop fermes, aucune insonorisation, on entend les personnes dans le couloir comme si ils étaient dans notre chambre. Le petit déjeuner,servi dans un restaurant à côté consiste en un verre de lait ou un petit café avec un croissant, autant vous dire que la matinée de visite est dure à tenir. Mais globalement, très bon rapport qualité prix! (attention taxe de la ville est chère et non comptée dans le prix de base, mais c'est tous les hôtels pareil)
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not a bed and breakfast. - I feel this bed and breakfast has misreprested itself. It is a small apartment that has been converted in to 4 very small rooms. There is no full time staff, or lobby, or anything like that. The owner/manager lives nearby and will come over if you need him. The breakfast is a voucher for a single croissant and a cup of coffee at a cafe about a block away. The bathroom smelled like urine.

- Evelin (10/5): Near the Vatican!! - Be advised that this is not a hotel. It is a bed and breakfast. I wasn't aware of this when I booked, but I loved it. The bed and breakfast is located within an apartment complex that is secured and has access to an elevator. The staff was VERY friendly. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived and so we weren't inconvenienced they upgraded our room. They offer wifi and also have an desktop should you desire. There is a small kitchenette with a microwave and fridge as well. It is conveniently located near a laundromat and several restaurants and shops. The stay also includes a free breakfast at a restaurant down the block. I would definitely recommend this place to someone!
- amanda (10/5): Fabulous location mosr helpful - Brilliant location for St Peter's and Vatican and most helpful staff and very comfortable triple rooms. Manuela will contact u a few days before you arrive and make any travel arrangements and she also booked last minute tours. Can't recommend enough, told all friends and family about this lovely find. Travellers were my husband and 83 year old mum from London and her sister with her son from Ireland, everyone met within minutes and weekend went so smoothly with Manuela and everyones assistance
- Hugh (8/5): Perfect location for centre of the city - Jonatan was the perfect host, there to meet you upon arrival, they even rang me the day before to see what time we expected to arrive as a well travelled person this was a first for me and greatly appreciated. Breakfast is cosy and personal to your own requests. We where even allowed to keep our room until 3.0pm on the day of departure even though I am sure in the busy season it may not be possible.

- Dinesh (6/5): Nice little Guest House - This is not a proper hotel but rather a small guest house. Caretaker lady was very helpful and guided us very well. This place is stone throw away from Vatican so location is very convenient. However we found room was too small for a family(1 double and 1 single bed for family of 4). Breakfast was negligible (1 croissant & 1 hot drink in near by cafe). Only tea(not coffee as I was told) making facility on premises. After this place we stayed in big hotel chain and for lot cheaper price in other cities of Italy. If location is the priority then I would recommend it but rest of the stuff is pretty basic.

- Verified traveler (6/5): OK for the price - Difficult to find the place as this "Hotel" is only few rooms in a Flat, and no display of the name anywhere. My taxi driver was kind enough to search for the place going here and there and finally to locate it. I booked two double rooms and the shower in one of the room was broken. I have reported the matter the next day morning and even though they agreed to repair, they didn't do anything. Finally people from that room had to use our shower the next day. Even though they say you can make tea/coffee in the room you can have only black tea, as coffee powder or milk is not provided. Breakfast is silly. Over all rooms are clean, but don't expect anything else.

Room had a hair dryer, Wifi, refrigerator and came with a coupon for a nice breakfast. Highly recommend. We stayed with two teenagers and the accommodation were more than adequate. I would highly recommend it for the location and price.

- MR & MRS B (10/5): Great value and fantastic hosts - We arrived a bit early but our host was waiting for us and gave us all the information we required for a long weekend of sightseeing, even arranging tour bus tickets for us Manuela couldn't have been more helpful. Room was clean and what we expected from what we had read ahead of booking. All in all good value for money and conveniently located for the Vatican. We recommend you pay a visit to one of the main piazza's in the evenings where you will find street artists and entertainers with music etc. It all adds to the beauty of Rome.

- Jonathan (10/5): Great Value and Location - We were looking for a clean, air-conditioned hotel room close to the Vatican. This was perfect. Very friendly service and nice, simple breakfast they brought to our room. This isn't a big chain hotel with all the bells and whistles. If you want that, go ahead and pay 300+ Euro per night to be in the same location. If you want something reasonable yet central to the Vatican, transportation, and good restaurants....this is it. TIP: Go to the restaurants they recommend- excellent and you get a discount.
- Bermudez (10/5): Excellent location, excellent staff!!! - This hotel met all our expectations as far as cleanliness, location, comfort and price.
- Daniel (8/5): Met my expectations - Generally, the room met my expectations in terms of location and price. Located in 5 minutes walk from Vatican and St-Pietro train station, in nice and modern neighborhood. The room is located in ground floor, so you do not see much outside. Room was clean but the equipment was just basic. The staff is not very experienced, but willing to learn and serve better.
- Gordon and family (8/5): A FINE LOCATION - Very freindly owners, nothing was too much trouble, wi fi excelent in room.unfortunatley we had had noisy neighbours who stayed one night and 4.00am I had to speak to them, as we stayed only two nights, we were extreimly tired the next day, the walls and doors could be better sound insulated.I do not really blame the hotel I think if you are booking this hotel please be mindfull of other occupants, but also in a busy period if there is twoing and frowwing out side the room, there will be noise. A very good location for a room, as it is more an appartment complex than a hotel you do not have the luxury of leasure rooms to relax, but for the money and a short stay it was good.I would recomend this but I would not stay there again

- Charlie (8/5): little problem to foung the place - The address on the notice from Expedia was not complete, B&B located at an apartment on a small alley, even local people had no idea about this street name, we had problem to found the place, only 2 days in Rome, no reason to get a local cellphone number, nearby store owners refused to let us use their phone, finally asked a young men to call the owner, "Via Cardinal Agliardi, 15" should be the correct address. very close to Vatican, simple breakfast. suggest to go St. Peters' Basilica at 7am before breakfast to avoid crowd. Rome room tax, 2 euro each person each night is extra.

Quiet neighborhood with restaurants and stores. Close to bus stops and train station. Wi-Fi and computer available. Very friendly and helpful staff, Thank you, Jonathan! I would come back.
- Jan (8/5): Rome on a Budget. - The Holiday a San Pietro was a little difficult to find at first, and to be honest once we did we were not sure about it. No easily visible signage, and it seemed to be in a bit of a back alley. Its not so much a hotel as an apartment building with some of the apartments converted to hotel accommodation. However, the location turned out to be pretty good and Jonathon the owner was very helpful to us. Plenty of restaurants in the area and a good bus and train service in close walking distance.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay and great location! - The owner, Jonathan, is amazing!!! Speaks great English and was incredibly helpful and nice. Really made the stay for us and his kindness compelled me to write a review. The location is superb. Minutes from the Vatican and the bus. Great pizza and gelato on the way while walking those few minutes. We were able to go to the sites but come back mid day or so to relax in between if we needed. The room was pretty comfortable, it felt modern while not losing its cultural charm. It's obviously not luxurious but I am VERY hard to please and a complete city girl who craves comfort and cleanliness (like really, really) so please trust me when I say that this is a great hotel and you should book for sure!

- Amy (8/5): Exactly what we were looking for! - Our stay at Holiay San Pietro was great! The location could not have been better, and the service was outstanding. The only draw back was the Wi-Fi didn't always work and they do not have "staff" that is there all the time (however you could always call them!) I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends :)

- Sally (10/5): Simple, Beautiful, would definitely go back - Our stay was excellent, its not a hotel its more like some rooms in a building, our room was "Caramel", it was clean with simple new IKEA furnitsher, breakfast was simple it comes to your room at the time you pick, its mainly croissant, jam and butter. the room has a refrigerator and outside the room there's a microwave. the receptionist (Stella) is so sweet and helpful, she speaks english very good, she gave us a useful map of rome and answered all our question. the location is very good too, its in a safe area,Its next to main bus stations that takes you to the central station (bus 64) and down town. the main street has many coffee shops and restaurants. plus its 5 min walking to vatican. The problem we faced first day that the B&B doesnt have a sign, we found it by chance after 40 min seraching. also our room didnt have a view it was underground but that didnt affect us because we were out all day, plus i requested the service girl to get us coffee bags and she forgot, thats mainly the disadvanges we faced. Overall its a great place to stay in... Strongly recommend it :)
