• Linda (8/5): Art Suites in Recoleta - Good location. Spacious apartment, clean, comfortable. Quiet building in a quiet neighborhood. Nearby coffee shops and markets. We notified Art Suites when we got in a taxi from the airport and when we arrived at the apt., but had to wait 20 min. to be let in. The key system was a little confusing. The furniture was worn, the outlet for kitchen appliances did not work, the jets in the spa tub did not work. Overall, it was fine, Good value for the price.

The area is very central and easy to get anywhere. Lots of restaurants and things to do while being a quiet neighborhood. A short walk away from Recoleta cementary and museums. Have stayed with them Multiple times.

• Fernando (8/5): - Overall it was fine, however there are some simple things that would help to improve comfort: improve room lighting, need of hangers and/or small stool to place clothes in the bathroom while one takes a shower, have more and better quality hangers in the closet (existing ones were very poor), improve tableware (quality and quantity). In short, quite basic place but very easy and costless to improve.

Thus not encouraged to do any cooking. Is located in an interesting neighborhood. Felt safe at night but lacked large markets to shop at.

• maria (4/5): - The concept is ApartHotel. Room cleaning is extra $25 dollars and has to be pre-arranged. Extra towels also had to be requested and paid in dollars not pesos. The toilet seat was old and discolored. There were cracks in the bath ceiling and the bath door’s bottom had signs of damage. Unlike other Apart hotels in the country, breakfast is not included.

As instalações sao amplas e limpas. Tivemos um problema com a pia da cozinha vazando agua, mas fomos compensados depois com um late check-in sem custo adicional. A limpeza nao é feita, a não ser que pague por fora. Mas, no geral, achei confortável, bem localizado (adorei o bairro!) e considero um bom custo-beneficio.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and attentive but no reception desk - I was surprised there was no reception desk. Although there wasn’t a 24 hour reception area, they were very attentive to all my messages. I didn’t like walking into an empty building at night. They did not have housekeeping services. And the last night before I was checking out, I ran out of toilet paper and I could not call them in the middle of the night. I probably would not stay here again because of these things if I were traveling alone. However it’s a very clean place and the price was right. The heating made a very loud noise but I needed to keep it on because it was cold out. The neighborhood is very nice and the restaurant on the corner, Los Pinos, was great.

• Lynne (8/5): Great budget friendly small hotel - This is a very small apart hotel. Two apt suites on each floor serviced by two separate elevators so you step off into your own foyer outside your suite. We had a one bedroom suite, very spacious with small kitchen and dining area off a nice sized living room, good sized bedroom and closet with safe, nice bathroom, balcony. Very clean and comfortable with good housekeeping service. In a nice and convenient neighborhood of Recoleta with some good neighborhood restaurants very close by and only a few blocks from the more trendy Recoleta Cemetary area. There is no real lobby, just a couple of couches and a concierge on duty 24 hrs. We visit BA every year. The value for the price is excellent. Only con is the furnishings are starting to show some wear and tear, but still very comfortable and inviting.

• 75elisem (10/5): Good location, good accommodation - The Art Suite apartments are light, bright and airy. There's plenty of space to move and a nice lounge in which to relax. Both of the bedrooms are comfortable, the bathrooms are nice and the kitchen facilities offer the opportunity to buy a takeaway, or something from the supermarket next door, and benefit the pocketbook by having a budget meal. We only discovered the supermarket located right next door, at the end of our stay. It offers the opportunity to buy a beer, wine or cooldrink at a much better price than one of the surrounding bars! We have stayed at Art Suites on two occasions and enjoyed it both times. The wifi is good, the A/C efficient and the Recoleta location is great. They stored our luggage for us both times, and the whole place was always spotlessly clean and the staff were always pleasant and courteous. The only drawback for us, with our miniscule command of Spanish, is that quite a few of the staff have no English, thus we were forced to communicate in our very rudimentary Spanish. In a Spanish-speaking country, that is more our fault, than theirs!

The apartment is spacious and also the location is good for exploring Buenos Aires! It’s close to two metro stations and also within walking distance of Recoleta Cemetery, El Ateneo, MALBA and Museo de Belle Artes. Also safe and quiet!

Just walk around 5mins to the supermarket. The location was great. 5 min to subway.

• AlKo33 (10/5): Our second Stayed - We stayed there last year and this year, we stayed there again and it did not disappoint us. It has the same great value and helpful friendly atmosphere manned by the two English speaking concierges, German and Sergio. Safe and secure in an excellent neighborhood surrounded with cafes, restaurants, shops little supermarkets and a huge one call Coto in a block and a half away. We highly recommend it and we will definitely stay there again next year.
• jenni6347 (8/5): Good value in a quiet location - The Art Suites is a small apartment style property in the Recoleto neighborhood within walking distance of the famous cemetary and various good restaurants. The suite we had was a one bedroom with kitchenette,basic supplies but adequate for small meals also next door to a small grocery store. The breakfasts were good croissants ,yoghurt coffee delivered to the room at requested time.We enjoyed the extra space having a living room to relax in and it was very quiet. A big plus. The front desk staff were very helpful and Sergio ,who spoke very good English recommended some great restaurants .
• Tastydogs (8/5): Good option in a top neighbourhood - I am sure that the young fast set will tell you to stay in Palermo but youth lacks balanced experience. This is a great location in what feels like an authentic neighbourhood. Roux is one of the smartest restaurants in town & is just a block away. Rapa Nui for ice cream is also a top reco & there are lots of good chain & local restaurants, cafes & bars. A short walk gets you to Santa Fe (buses & metro) & it is an easy walk to Recoleto cemetary & the nightlife there Unlike some reviewers I found the staff on reception a delight & the cleaning ladies were efficient, fast & friendly My spalcious apart was at the back which meant it was a quiet room. The aircon & shower were good. The living area was nice. The kitchenette had microwave, fridge & 2 hob gas rings (matches included). The bathroom was good with a powerful shower & instant hot water. No washing machine but the excellent laundry just a few doors down would wash & iron a bag of clothes for just 120 pesos in 4 hours So despite a great experience it still loses 1 point. As many others have pointed out the kitchen is not well equipped. I think if each apart had Usd 100 spent on it there would be 2 cheap chairs for the balcony, a saucepan or 2, maybe 4 (not 1) wine glasses, 4 mugs (not 2 coffee cups & saucers), maybe even a toaster then that would be heaven

• kthetravelover (6/5): It’s ok I would say.. - The staff is not that nice and when we tried to check in early they were trying to charge money when other hotels just let us check in early for free.. the breakfasts is not that great and had bread, milk, orange juice, overly sweet yogurt, coffee and tea.. very basic and got no fruits. We would def not gonna stay here again and when we go back. They also ask you to give the key at the front desk when you leave which kinda feels weird.. the location is good so that’s about it..

• lola899 (10/5): Clean apartments, great location, superb staff - Stayed with my family of 5 plus 2 au pairs in two apartments which were nearly adjoining. Apartments are separated by a very small landing (where the elevator opens). Stay was very comfortable, price was reasonable, and location was great. We always like the flexibility of having a kitchen (full fridge, stove, oven, but surprisngly no toaster) with kids. While the accomodations were fine, the best part of the stay was the front desk staff. For example, we had no dinner reservation for New Year's Eve as of 12/30, and were arriving on 12/31 in Buenos Aires. I emailed the hotel, and German answered me from his personal email (on his day off) with suggestions. After a few emails back and forth and a phone discussion, he secured a great reservation for us. Similarly, a few days later, Andres went above and beyond in researching options for us for dinner shows, giving us a concise summary, and ultimately making the arrangements. We felt very welcomed here and would definitely return.

• dnasaur (8/5): Nice place for families to stay - Our family enjoyed 2 2-night stays in different 2-bedroom apartments at Art Suites in Buenos Aires at the beginning and end of a trip to Argentina. It’s well situated in Recoleta - just a few blocks from the Recoleta Cemetery. The apartment was clean and relatively inexpensive. There’s a convenient grocery store right next door. If you’re traveling as a family, it’s a great, less expensive option compared to a traditional hotel room.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Not as nice as expected. - The pictures of the apartment at your site show a much nicer place that what it is. I found the apartment badly maintained with dirty walls, the door handle to the outside kitchen door (and escape route to the stairs) fell off and almost no decorations and what was there was very cheap. The views were of dirty rooftops, the TV in the room antique and the wi-fi stopped working after the first day.
• suzannep34 (8/5): Home from home! - From previous reviews I knew I would enjoy staying here, and it’s pretty much as described. The 24 hour reception where you hand in your apartment key on leaving the building and then they buzz you back in, makes it seem very secure. It’s in a great area from a tourism point of view, about 10 minutes walk to the Recoleta cemetery and the same to the National Museum of Fine Art. There are two supermarkets and a fruit and veg shop about two minutes walk away, plus a 24 hour newsagent. The kitchen is a bit lacking in terms of utensils if you do want to do your own cooking whilst staying, and we ended up buying a saucepan from one of those bargain-type shops on the main high street (though it was still quite pricey at £20!), along with a chopping board and decent knife/can opener, but we did bring some of those items (definitely the saucepan!) back home with us instead of donating them all to the property, so I guess it is still slightly underequipped!! That is just a minor thing though, it’s really a great value, relaxing and safe place to stay, in a desirable area. The rooms are basic but very clean, functional and quite spacious, the apartment had a nice little balcony that caught the sun in the morning (the view reminded me of San Antonio in Ibiza, minus the sea) and it was very quiet in terms of potential traffic noise. As there were no English channels on tv we did buy a radio as well, and listened to some local house music, to add to the Ibiza vibes. Very friendly staff. Recommend!!
• jodiog (10/5): Don't hesitate! This is the place to stay. - No regrets! Art Suites on Azcuenaga is in a great neighborhood, about a five minute walk to the Subte, has a market next door (to pick up beer and wine lol) and a steakhouse, Los Pinos on the corner. The front door security is comforting. We were in an executive one bedroom apartment on the ninth floor. It was quiet and clean. It has a large balcony (which we used and enjoyed), large living room and large bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom were just fine. The neighborhood felt safe to me during the day and evening. We booked pretty far in advance and got a great rate.

• CamB (8/5): - I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It has the benefits of staying in an apartment but with the bass free environment of a hotel. The Roma are big, right and clean. The furniture in the living room needs to be updated. The couch has seen other days. But other than that, it was very comfortable, the door man and cleaning ladies were very polite and helpful, and the location is great.
• vanebp (8/5): - The pictures in the booking showed newer spaces. It is more like an airbnb than an apart hotel. There isn't even a bathroom in the "lobby". Reception and cleaning staff was very nice. Overall was ok: clean and spacious, well located; but we were expecting (from the pictures) something a little different.
• bunyipBluegum (10/5): Ticks All The Boxes - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this place. Amenities are great, service is great, location is fantastic. We like the way you can spread out here. There is plenty of room if you need to work and comes with a kitchen, two bathrooms and a place to entertain a guest or two. You can't go wrong.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent value for the price and very comfortable - This is a small, very comfortable boutique serviced apartment hotel in the center of Recoleta, one of the safest and nicest parts of Buenos Aires. By local standards, this place was really nice and extremely secure, and we felt it was a superb value for the cost, given that we were in a two-bedroom apartment. The furnishings were relatively new, tasteful, comfortable and in great condition. It was relatively spacious. The living area was terrific. The master bedroom was a nice size. The second bedroom was just big enough for the two twin beds, with only a bit of room to maneuver. Lots of closet space throughout. It's in a great, convenient location to everything you need. Incredibly, it has central air conditioning, which worked great. The main drawback was the kitchen - it was terrific for basics, but you wouldn't want to do much serious cooking. Gas stove and oven had to be lit with a match, and pots/pans were sparse and not that nice. Refrigerator and freezer are a nice size. The kitchen is the main reason for a four and not a five in rating. Another weakness was shower water pressure, but that could have been an anomaly. I noticed one review that complained about unlocked back door to service area. Ignore that comment and just be sure to lock both the front and back doors - standard for apartments in this city. If it had a better kitchen, we'd live there for our entire multi-month stay in the area. (The kitchen is perfectly fine for shorter stays.)
• AlKo33 (8/5): Comfortable spacious Suites - An excellent place to stay in a very safe location and probably one of the best. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need in case you want to stay in and cook. But there are so many restaurants and cafe nearby, such as Estrebe and Al carbon both Parrilla for grill meat and pasta, and Brut by Pena and near Ayacucho for fix price lunch. Excellent and friendly front desk services. Supermarket and smaller market are close by. It is also 3 blocks to Santa Fe, 2 blocks to Pueyredon and 3 blocks to Las Heras, all are major arteries for Subte transportation. Recoleta cemetery is 10-15 minutes walk and so as lots of major attractions can be reached by walking. The area is safe to walk around at night and Rapinu, a popular cafe and ice cream and desert store from Bareloche is only 2 blocks away. On top of everything the price to stay is very reasonable. We strongly recommend it.
• Traveller Patsy (10/5): Spacious apartment in safe Recoleta. - As Senior travellers we now appreciate room to relax, unwind and put our feet up after a day walking & exploring. Art Suites was the perfect place. Herman’s warm welcome on arrival set the tone for a wonderful stay. During our 8 days there Herman was a marvellous source of information, happy to answer our questions & research anything he was unsure of. 8B, our apartment was spacious, well furnished & spotless. Yes the Kitchen is small, but how much time do you spend there??? The equipment is basic, but enough. There is a small refrigerator, a microwave & a 2 burnet has hot plate. The living room is large, the bedroom also & it has a small closet with shelving & hanging space. There is a reasonable ensuite. The linen was crisp and the towels fluffy. The apartment was serviced daily by two cheerful ladies. The was a decent balcony large enough to stretch a line & hang out your washing, just like the neighbours. Being at the back of the building it was very quiet. Wi Fi was excellent. There are many restaurants in the area. Happy Hour at the Pizza restaurant diagonally across the road was a great way to wind down after a day out. There is s huge supermarket down French street a block & a half away. As well as a small one right next door.

Art Suites, Recoleta, was the perfect place. On arrival, our welcome by Herman set the tone for a wonderful stay. During our eight days there Herman was a marvellous source of information, happy to answer all our questions and research anything he was unsure of. 8B, our apartment was spacious, well furnished and spotless. It consisted of a large living room, separate bedroom with a small closet containing shelving and room to hang clothes as well. A reasonable sized ensuite off the bedroom contained basic amenities. Yes, the kitchen area was small, as mentioned in some previous reviews, but, how much time do you spend there??? The equipment was basic, but enough for simple meal preparation. It contained a small refrigerator, a microwave and a two burner gas hot plate. The apartment was serviced daily and the linen changed regularly.. There was also a decent balcony, large enough to stretch a line and hang out your washing, just like the neighbours! Being at the back of the block it was very quiet. Recoleta is a safe area and we never once felt threatened as we walked. Each day would commence with the delightful, cheery Gabi arriving with the breakfast tray. She seemed to set the tone for a great day. There are many restaurants in the neighbourhood of varying cuisine and price. Happy Hour at the pizza restaurant diagonally across the road was a great way to wind down after a day out. Wi Fi at Art Suites is excellent. • bgray5267 (6/5): Convenient & Suitable - Great location, quiet, clean and more than adequate. In close proximity of the supermarket Coto, and a smaller market is right beside the apartments. A number of restaurants are nearby, including a great little parilla called Pinos at the end of the block. I would stay here again.
• Liege-Bastogne-Liege (8/5): ideal if you like practical - In short, a great place to stay in Bs As. i have to say my stay was October 2015, but I neglected to write it up. It's very central in La Recoleta, so has pretty easy access to the centre of the city, the area is very safe relative to most other parts of town and the rooms are pleasant and functional rather than luxurious. Each room is really a very spacious modern studio cum suite, with basic but good cooking facilities, a balcony and a separate bedroom and lounge. The rear rooms are much quieter. I think they are designated 'B', with I think only two suites per floor, unsure of that tho. Frankly, six nights here for work in the university nearby, and I quickly loved it. Its reallya series of little apartments and it was very quiet. There are lots of great and reasonable restaurants nearby - try Los Pinos on the corner, just down the street - and the Recoleta cemetery is ten minutes away. Make sure to meet Connie Casey, the manager. Lovely person. I visit again in March 2018. I won't stay anywhere else.
• Ross (10/5): Great hotel in centre of town & attractions. - Most of the staff spoke good English & all of them were very helpful. The suites are in a great location, with reliable wifi & good TV reception. The rooms were air-conditioned, with excellent showers & a basic kitchen to prepare your own meals if you wanted. The only problem we found was that the taxi drivers confused the Art Suites, with the nearby Arts Hotel!

• yk (10/5): Great Recoleta Stay - I stayed here twice during a recent trip to Buenos Aires! I chose the area because of its safety and proximity to attractions! The Recoleta area is a great and upmarket area from which to explore Buenos Aires! There are cafes and restaurants nearby and there's a massive mall and supermarket within a short walking distance! What was particularly great about this place was the helpfulness of the staff! They were available 24/7 and helped us organise tickets to a game (it was amazing) and they recommended good places to eat and so on! They really looked after us! It was also a very safe neighbourhood! Lots of people walking around at night and great access to local attractions including Recoleta Cemetery, Museo de Belle Artes, Floris Generica and the shops on Santa Fe!
• Vicki (10/5): Lovely, clean hotel suite in safe Recoleta - It was such a wonderful surprise to arrive at our spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment after traveling all day. The living room was a nice gathering space for the 5 of us, while the master bedroom was huge and comfortable with a king bed. The master bath was clean with a great shower and jetted tub. The other bedroom had twin beds and there was a pullout sofa in the living room, plenty of space for all. The doorman is there 24/7 to buzz you into the lobby, so it is very safe. Great neighborhood with restaurants nearby. Recoleta cemetery is within walking distance and is recommended to see.
• Elaine (10/5): Great for Girls Getaway - My girlfriend and I shared a two-bedroom/two-bath apartment and it was perfect for us. Location could not have been better in a safe, walkable area for two women, close to lots of shops, restaurants and attractions. Everything was very clean and well-supplied. We did need to ask for a hairdryer and an iron, which were provided right away. The second bathroom was extremely cramped, with nowhere to place any toiletries. A couple of small shelves mounted on the wall would make an easy solution. I complained about my shower drain not draining and it was never fixed. Therefore I had to take very fast showers or the shower would overflow into the bathroom. For me, no huge deal. When I needed a longer shower to wash my hair, I used my girlfriend's bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed. We found there was a back door through the kitchen and it was unlocked and open to the housekeeping closet the whole first night and day we were there. We thought it was our closet, until we realized it was for the housekeepers, with another door that also was unlocked to the general hallway, and no one had closed and locked our door. We checked that it was locked from our side every day after that. Despite dozens of TV channels, no one was in any other language besides Spanish, which I thought was unusual for a hotel that catered to foreigners. We weren't there enough to watch TV, but I would have liked to watch the news now and then.
