• Larry (10/5): Location, location, location - Hotel Am Markt is really all about the location. Right at the market, near Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, shopping and restaurants. Shower was a little slippery with not much to "hang on" to

• Sari (8/5): Eine Nacht in der Nähe vom Viktualienmarkt - Die optimale Lage des Hotels (nähe Viktualienmarkt), das Zimmer war sauber und das Komfort-Doppelzimmer auch ziemlich groß. Am witzigsten fanden wir den kleinen Aufzug (zwei große Koffer haben gerade noch rein gepasst, mehr nicht ;) ) Es war nicht sehr ruhig (das war uns eigentlich klar, wenn man in der Nähe vom Viktualienmarkt übernachtet)

• Maz (9/5): Would definitely stay again - Fabulous location on a corner of a small square tucked in behind the markets and steps from Marienplatz. About a 3 - 5 minute walk from the Marienplatz SBahn stop. A plentiful set breakfast menu needs to be ordered the night before from the hotel reception, as the restaurant next door is an independent operation. I stayed in 204 which was a good size room and bathroom. Great that there is a small lift for transporting luggage to higher floors. Front desk staff were all friendly and helpful. The windows are very well soundproofed, but you should still expect the noise you would have of an inner city location. You're also reliant on fellow guests keeping noise down as the interior walls are not so soundproof.

• Joan (7/5): It’s our second time here and it does the job, putting us smack in the middle of the market. It’s spartan but well locat - Location No coffee or breakfast until 8 am. For early risers, this is hard. There aren’t even coffee makers in the room. The front desk people could show better hospitality and enthusiasm.
• SJ (5/5): Good Location with Kids for short term stay - The location to the platza was great, this is a very lovely charming hotel with cafes, markets and restaurants all within walking distance. We loved staying here for flexibility and ease due to location. The room was perfect size! We stayed in a room which backed onto an alley which was horrible. At night you heard all glass breakage from the truck, sweeper trucks and people talking loud. There is no aircon in the room, couple of days it was extremely warm and I requested a fan and was refused because it was not the season for it. The only ventilation the room has is opening the windows which we did and the amount of noise was very painful to deal with and that ruined our sleep and then our room was next to an elevator on the first floor, so we heard people slamming doors, talking loud and much more. If you are a light sleeper and want peace this will not be your place or have them place you in another section of the area. Great with kids because they can walk easily and when they get tired you just come back. The amount of noise, no aircon, refusal of fan during hot weather.

Jederzeit wieder! Da müsste ich jetzt lange nachdenken. Der Übernachtungspreis hätte günstiger sein können, geht aber angesichts der guten Leistung des Hotels in Ordnung

• Sven (8/5): Sehr schön ein Wiedersehen kann kommen. - Die Lage direkt am Viktualienmarkt und nur wenige Gehminuten ins Herz Münchens sind Perfekt.Das Hotel läsdt einen in eine vergangene Zeit eintauchen. Schade,dass es kein Frühstück mehr in Buffet Art gib sondern vorbereitete Teller-aber trotzdem war das Frühstück gut.Und für mich waren die Bettmatratzen zu weich.

• Leah (7/5): Enjoyed our stay as the location was great, but I would only recommend a short stay here given the noise, size of rooms - Location was fantastic The bed was very hard and not comfortable. We did not get city/landmark views as stated and it was quite noisy.

• kathyrA3693HB (8/5): Great location and nice room - We stayed for 4 nights. The location is very central to be able to walk to all the sites in Munich, yet is in a quieter location. We were in room 401 which was a larger room, with a separate dressing area, and a lounge chair in addition to the bed. It has an elevator to the floors so easier for luggage. We could open the windows for fresh air and to hear all the bells. The bathroom was large enough with a shower that you need to step up into. The room had a small combination safe that was not working however the staff did provide us with the key to lock it. Two requests - please provide tissues and face cloths.

• Wayne (8/5): Nice Munich Hotel though noisy - The hotel and room were very clean. We had a king-size bed and had room to walk comfortably around the bed. The location was great near the food markets around Marienplatz. The walls were paper thin. The bar activity at night was very loud. The people who get outdoor markets ready for the day make a great deal of noise sometimes starting at 5am. The church bells start ringing at 7am. If you plan to sleep late, that's not happening.

Perfekt für einen Städtetrip nach München, sehr gut gelegen direkt am Viktualienmarkt, die Zimmer sind schön und sehr sauber!
