Guest Reviews
- Debra (10/5): - Friendly staff. Washer and dryer in room.
- Jordyn (10/5): Great! - This place was great, very spacious and in a quiet area, but still so close to all the main attractions! We really enjoyed our stay here, would highly recommend!
- Prisca (10/5): - Room Quality: The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. The bed was comfortable], and amenities like [e.g., coffee machine, toiletries, Wi-Fi] were top-notch.
Service: The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to assist with any requests.
Location: The location was central, convenient for sightseeing/shopping, near public transport.
- Maria Julie (10/5): - Adam was wonderful to work with in getting to the hotel and checking in. So very courteous and hospitable. The area was perfect- enough away from tourist crowds but so easily walkable to every thing Prague has to offer. The room was comfortable and it was lovely to have kitchen and laundry facilities. Highly recommend.
- Dan (10/5): - The location, cleanliness, amenities, staff and all round review of this hotel would be a strong recommend and everything was great, thank you so much for an amazing stay :))
- Polly (10/5): - There is nothing that I would change, it was a wonderful stay.
- Christian (10/5): Excellent - Amazing place and very friendly and helpful front desk. Art Deco style apartments that are all very large and centrally located. Would come back to Hunger Wall anytime. Restaurants and stores all around and easy walk to any of the sights.
- Christian (10/5): Excelent - Great house with apartments that one can live in. There is a reception with good service and very flexible and friendly help. Overall great experience and would recommend for quality and value and location and can recommend without reservation
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent location and accommodation. - Very comfortable, perfectly located apartment hotel. Near to great restaurants, transportation, the river and historical sites. Highly recommended.
- Sverrir (10/5): - The 3 of us really enjoyed our stay there. Apartment is just across the river from the busy tourist areas but a 5 minute walk will get you there. Hardly any noise from the streets. A tram stop is just 50 meters away and it'll get you anywhere downtown in a few minutes. For us, Mala Strana was the perfect neighborhood with the Petrin hill gardens practically in the backyard. Check-in was easy and because our flight home was in the evening, we were allowed to keep the apartment well into the afternoon at no extra cost. No complaints, strongly recommended.
- Andrew (10/5): - As regular visitors to Prague, this was our first time staying at Hunger Wall residence and certainly won’t be our last.
We booked one of the executive suites which is the loft type apartment, it is one of the best apartments I’ve stayed in the city.
It was exceptionally clean, furnished to a great standard, and in an excellent location for anyone wanting to explore the city. Also close to public transport.
The owners and staff were also very friendly and helpful.
Cannot rate this place highly enough.
- Sandy (10/5): - …
- steven (10/5): Very comfortable stay in Prague - Very nice Apartment hotel. Very big and conveniently located near the Old Town and Charles Bridge.
- Marie-Louise (10/5): We will stay here again - Great location close to shopping mall, parks and tram. Clean and quite appartment. We checked in late but communication was smooth.
- DavidG (10/5): - Hunger Wall Residence felt like home. It was extremely clean and peaceful. There was nothing we could have wanted or needed to improve our wonderful stay.
- Robert (10/5): Absolutely awesome apartment style hotel in Prague - Absolutely awesome apartment style hotel in Prague. Every part of our stay was truly excellent! Clean, comfortable and easily accessible from public transportation. In room washer and dryer was a huge plus after traveling for a week. Staff was very polite and helpful. The Cafe Lounge restaurant on the street level was excellent too. Highly recommended. This hotel is now at the top of our list when we return to Prague.
- David (10/5): Wonderful Prague - What an amazing place to stay. Perfect location and outstanding apartment. It’s an easy walk to everything without the downside of being amongst all of the tourists all day.
- Christopher (10/5): Great Experience - Amazing location and stay! Room was great and the staff very friendly!
- Kenneth (10/5): Prague city break - Large beautiful apartment with all extras. Would highly recommend
Staff were so friendly and helpful
- Arlene (10/5): Excellent accommodation - Great, roomy one bedroom apartment. Beautiful building in convenient location.
In unit laundry facilities.
- Coree (10/5): Stay in June 2018 - Really enjoyed our stay. The suite was very comfortable well equipped and had nice little touches to really set the room apart.
The location was great as it was far enough out of the centre to be quiet, but close enough to be in walking distance to the major sights.
The staff were very helpful and helped to arrange our airport transfers with very little fuss.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Base for Exploring the City - The location was very good, within walking distance of the river, Kampa Island and Prague Castle, with Old Town just across the river on the less crowded bridge south of Charles Bridge. The part of Mala Strana where the building was located had far fewer tourists than places like Old Town, which was a blessing.
The apartment was excellent: well furnished and quiet; double windows kept out street noise. The staff at the office on the ground floor were friendly and resolved quickly a minor issue with wifi.
There was a cafe on the ground floor and a supermarket around the corner. Good restaurants nearby included the Czech-Slovak Restaurant and Cafe Savoy.
The building was close to a streetcar route, though the metro was some distance away. (Closest were Narodni Trida station, with a short walk across the river, or Andel station on the Mala Strana side.) Since walking around the city was enjoyable, the metro location wasn't a drawback for me.
- Tracy (10/5): Fabulous hotel, service and staff - Amazing residence. We stayed for a long weekend beginning of September 11 ladies in total. We were very well looked after by the hotel. Aneta couldn't do enough for us to make our stay comfortable. The hotel is gorgeous and kept spotlessly clean. Would have no hesitation in recommending Hunger Wall Residence, to anyone looking for excellent accommodation in great location.
- Tina (10/5): Loved the location - Some streets and squares of Prague can be choked with tourists. Hunger Wall is close to the river and parks and the most popular neighborhoods, but the street it is on and its neighborhood are peaceful and quiet. The restaurant associated with the hotel has good and interesting food and there are other good restaurants in the neighborhood (although some of those on the busier streets are very disappointing). Staff was super helpful, with a high standard of English and a clear desire to make sure it was a good trip for everyone. Our room had a kitchenette, which was very convenient for morning coffee and snacks -- sufficient facilities to make meals but we did not. We had trouble figuring out the stove top mechanics and would have asked for help if we really needed to use it. So if you plan to cook in the room, get instructions when you check in.
- Leonard (10/5): - This hotel is located five minutes from the Charles bridge and 1 minute from the #22 trolley stop to the castle. Nice, quiet neighborhood. super helpful hotel staff.
- Paula (10/5): Perfect July weekend! - Perfection from booking, all the way up to check out and transportation back to the airport. Our host, Karolina, emailed me as soon as I made the reservation, and made everything very convenient for us. She arranged private transportation from the airport for 20 euro! Bargain. We were met at the arrival hall by a friendly driver with excellent English, who drove us quickly to the hotel. It's more of an apartment than a standard hotel. We LOVED our 1 bedroom unit number 32. Large living room with gorgeous furnishings and huge windows that let in fresh air. We asked for a fan and it was waiting in the room when we returned from exploring. Tram stop us less than 5 min. We loved not being in the loud crowded Old Town Square, but close enough to walk if we didn't opt to take the tram. We took the tram some trips, and walked when we chose to. The bed was very comfortable. Quiet neighborhood and building. With the fan blowing, we didn't hear any outside sounds during the night! Nice bathtub and shower combo, washer and dryer in the large bathroom. Tons of storage space in closets and dresser and chests. Stove top, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, daily housekeeping. I can't wait to go back during the Christmas market season!
- Gerald (10/5): Terrific apartment/hotel in Prague - Really beautifully appointed apartments. Spacious and clean. A great way to stay in Prague. Easy walking access to all the sights but not in the heart of tourist area. Perfect.
- John (10/5): Lesser Town - Better Town - On recommendation we decided to stay in Lesser Town . It turned out to be the best choice . Hunger Wall Residence is on a quiet street but within easy walking distance of The Old Town , many local restaurants and little bars to visit . But with less of the masses of tourists that flock into Old Town Square . Hunger Wall residence has 5 star quality rooms and service . Highly recommended if you like a quiet nights sleep but want to be close to the action .
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect spot - From efficient check-in to roomy comfort, delightful place to stay.
- aiwyne (10/5): Fantastic apartments in the city centre - Everything about this accomodation is excellent. The apartments are well equipped, clean and tastefully decorated. The staff were very helpful. Our only disappointment was no fan when it was very hot.
- Subir (10/5): Very nice apartment hotel - Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Great location close to the tourist center and fabulous eating locations close by.
Spacious apartment with large bathroom and laundry facilities
Very pleasant and comfortable stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect stay - Perfect place to stay for our final stop after three weeks holiday around Europe. Staff are super friendly and very helpful. The location is perfect, not in a crowded area and only a short walk to the Old Town. The most important thing is the room, very clean, spacious and comfy.
- Sarah (8/5): Good price for large space - We stayed here because we needed a large living space for a nice price. This was it! Each room is quite different and ours was not as charming as our friends'. The location was ok, but not much on the street. Close to bottom of funicular and to the bridge leading to National Theater.
- Anthony (10/5): A Little Gem in Prague! - This is an excellent apartment and is beautiful finished throughout. Beautiful high ceilings, heated bathroom floor & beautiful decorated. The reception staff (Jarmila) was excellent and helped point us in the right direction. The hotel transfers where also excellent.
The only reservation I would have is the bed is very close to the floor and more elderly people may find it difficult to get up and down from bed.
- helen (10/5): Elegant serviced apartment, exceptionally clean - Short break, 3 sharing the apartment. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Very comfortable beds. Great location for just walking to all the main attractions in Prague. Lovely and warm as we visited in February and it was cold outside. Great coffee.
- Rider Girl (10/5): Perfect in Prague - Great accommodation....stayed in superior suite. Excellent restaurant attached on ground floor. Staff were most helpful. Within walking distance to St. Vitus Cathedral and palace. Less than 5 minute walk to on/off bus stop. Highly recommended.
- Margot (10/5): Charming in the Czech Republic - We were visiting Prague for the first time and were absolutely delighted with the charming and gracious suite provided by the Hunger Wall Residence. As a mother and two daughters, we felt safe walking from the hotel to the center of Prague (about a 20 minute walk) and the security was very good (lots of electric locks and personnel). We arrived by car, and although parking is not guaranteed, the girl who ran the front desk rushed outside when a spot became available and stood in the spot with me while we waited for our car to pull up (so we could park for free). The oversize bathroom featured travertine stone on the floor and walls with a lovely soaking tub and washer/dryer tucked in the corner; as with most upscale hotels it did include a bidet. It was well lit, and the whole place was immaculate. The kitchen was fully equipped and they provided tea and coffee. There was ample space for our suitcases; there was an entry foyer with huge closets in our unit as well as plenty of other space. Wifi was free and very good. We ate in the attached restaurant our first night and the food was very delicious. The whole staff is extremely nice and accommodating - our room had a detailed map which was very helpful for getting around and the front desk was always there to answer our questions. If you're staying longer, there is a convenient grocery store on the block. We would stay there again in a heartbeat, we didn't want to leave!
- Peter (10/5): Excellent apartment. - The apartment is within walking distance to all old city attractions. Spacious, clean, good facilities in the apartment with the added convenience of an excellent restaurant attached. Would recommend.
- SP (10/5): Beautiful historic hotel in quiet location - Loved this hotel. The rooms were very large and roomy and had everything to make for a most comfortable stay. Could have stayed in this hotel for a week. Large sitting room and bathroom complete with washing machine. Even had small kitchenette.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent - Stayed for a week. A very good experience. My friends and I were all very happy. Will definitely return if Visiting prague again.
- Jan (10/5): Fantastic - I truly enjoyed my stay. I would definitely stay there again when I have a chance to go back. I don't think I could've picked a better place to stay. Convenient location, clean and friendly staff.
- junluo (10/5): Very enjoyable venue - It was a fantastic experience to stay in Hunger Wall: it is close to the famous sites, the room conditions is excellent inside and outside (and it is very quite in such a big city). The residence staffs are very nice and helpful: they even helped me to recover some of my photos that were accidentally deleted. So overall, we enjoy very much staying at Hunger Wall. The only catch is the price, but it is anyway expensive all over Prague ...
- MJT (10/5): Perfect location to all major sights! - This apartment hotel is a great choice for anyone, but was especially perfect for me and my family. We have a toddler and we requested a crib before arriving. Not only was the crib there, but it had an extra touch of having a cozy comforter on top along with a huge stuffed crocodile. This is just one of the many perks to staying in this hotel. The others are: daily housekeeping service, warm and toasty heating in the room, ideal location to take tram anywhere and then walk, cafe/restaurant in the same building, small markets around the corner, and close to parks. We loved our entire stay in the Czech Republic thanks to the Hunger Wall residence! We'll definitely be back!
- Silverman (10/5): Right in old town centre - Superb location fir old town - 5 mins walk and you are over the Charles bridge and into the centre! Room was perfect - comfortable bed and warm and quiet. Excellent bathroom and kitchenette good too. Small restaurant on the ground floor a bonus with best coffee in town - very busy in the mornings so book if you want a tanks fir breakfast. Highly recommended and we would defies telly return there
- Jillian (10/5): Hunger Wall Residence - Perfect in Prague - This holiday apartment complex is ideally situated in Mala Strana, the old, historic area between the beautiful parklands of the Petrin hill and the impressive Vltava River, providing every opportunity to easily explore picturesque Prague on foot or by the very frequent trams that run nearby. Major sites such as Prague Castle, Wenceslas Square and the Old Town are all readily accessed. Prague is made for walking, offering great architecture, numerous sites of historical interest, music in marvellous venues, art galleries and museums, and beautiful parks and gardens. We spent seven full days there, could have stayed longer and would love to return.
- Rich (8/5): Great except..... - Was a very comfortable place to stay. One of the biggest concern for me was there was no coffee making equipment. It is advertised as a furnished Apartment so I think it should have one. Overall a good place to stay in Prague. One block to trolly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very comfortable & clean. Close to Charles Bridge - Wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The hotel and cafe staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They helped us everything we needed (e.g., calling tour companies, arranging for taxis, etc.). We stayed there It was so 9 nights, and it was wonderful to have such a relaxing apartment to come home to every night. Having a washer & dryer in the apartment was a great plus.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A Gem of a find in beautiful Prague - The Hunger Wall Residence more than met our expectations. The check in was efficient with a lot of information given regarding the facilities and city attractions. The apartments were spacious, elegant and well maintained. The cafe restaurant downstairs served great coffee, cake and meals. Staff were more than happy to bring orders upstairs to the apartments if required. Overall a great stay, would recommend for anyone looking for comfortable, elegant place to stay in Prague.
- Sophia (8/5): Beware Hired Drivers via Hunger Wall Residence! - The hotel was gorgeous and in a good location. Walking distance to Charles Bridge yet far enough away from hordes of tourists and overpriced restaurants. The apartment was clean, with spacious kitchen for Europe standards. Corner store sells groceries, washing powder for small washing machine. No dryer and heated hanging rack for clothes and towels.
I delighted to have a car to pick us up at the train station which I reserved with the Karolina at the Hunger Wall. Last minute change of plans so the staff arranged car to pick us up at the other Prague station. The car ride on the way to the airport was not satisfactory. It was Peter, the owner of the limo service, who dropped us off at a corner and said the airport terminal was across the way. I thought he was being polite since there was a luggage cart available where he left us and he said the terminal was just across the street. I tipped him well and after we crossed the street into the terminal we realized he had dropped us off at arrivals not departures and in the wrong terminal. I believe he wanted to turn around quickly to pick up another client since he was able to turn around quickly after he dropped us off. Clearly other drivers were dropping off people in front of the correct terminal and we had to rush to make our flight. It was a half hour walk from where he dropped us off until we were able to check our bags in at Lufthansa. Unacceptable! I hope Hunger Wall will be informed of their inappropriate service.
- David (10/5): Very Stylish - Stayed in a superior suite, very stylish and elegant luxury apartment, everything spotless and fully equipped home from home, great mix of period style and all mod cons, staff could not be more obliging will definitely go back and highly recommend
