Guest Reviews
- Hiu Man (8/5): Nice! - The host is very helpful and considering, always provide the warm reminder for us. And she provided us some sweet breakfast. The house is clean and comfortable. And the room is big.
And also, the house is near to the metro and bus stop.
- fernando (8/5): Nice room close to bus and train - Maria Elena was very nice and caring. She gave us great tips about Rome and where to go. The room was very clean. Would definitely recommend. The only bad thing is the shared bathroom but everything else was great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to the metro - Immaculate, clean room. Quiet at night. Close to the metro, a shopping mall, and a grocery store. No complaints.
- Alexandre (10/5): - Otima localizaçao perto do metro, seguro e limpo
- francesco (8/5): Weekend a Roma - Appartamento pulito, ordinato, silenzioso e accogliente. Maria Elena ottima padrona di casa.
- Lenin and Saray (10/5): Very nice hotel close to everything by underground - We have been very well staying in. We could't claim for anything... Excellent place for enjoying a great quality-price in Rome next to the famous places (musei vaticani, colosseo, sant pietro, fontana de trevi) by underground
- Verified traveler (10/5): muy limpio y muy atenta Ma.
- Jax (8/5): All very good get what you pay for - Excellent very nice and clean and good location for metro
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was very clean and location is close to metro station.
- Tom (10/5): Fantastic Stay - Fantastic host, very hospitable. The B&B is a 3 minute walk from the metro, very accessible to reach all the tourist hotspots in Rome. We accidentally booked a twin room - Maria Elena changed the bed for us into a double straight away. Though the bed was not so comfy as a result. The rest of the stay by far made up for this - would definitely stay again.
- Kostiantyn (8/5): not close to city center + without tea kettle - Hotel (B&B) is not close to city center. Owner don't provide tea kettle. Price is reasonable.
- Jose (8/5): Buena relacion calidad-precio - Buena relacion calidad-precio
- Blanka (8/5): Příjemná majitelka s ochotou pomoci a poradit - lokalita příhodná pro všechny památky Říma
- Traveler (4/5): "I would not use again - The place was ok. The shared bathroom was good but they limit the amount of toilet paper and supplies so if you ran out (and we did), and no one was home, then you are out of luck. The sheets were not changed nor was the trash picked up on a daily or even the entire time we were there. The room's drawers had hair and trash in it and were not wiped out. Under the sheets the bed was dirty. The place did not have a good Wi-Fi and we were not allowed to use the AC as it would damage the wood floor. The morning breakfast was light pastries and juice. The person was friendly and good price but it did not make up for the shortcomings. I did understand all the great reviews.
- Emilie (8/5): Lovely B&B - We had to book something at the very last minute for our trip to Rome, and Maria Eleana was amazing! She gave us details about anything we asked. She has to be one of the friendliest people out there :) The room was clean and pretty big, we had a queen bed. We shared the bathroom with two other rooms but it was well maintained and cleaned everyday. We stayed a week and had to ask to get a change of towels since our rooms do not get cleaned until we left. Very safe, locks on the room door, apt door and the door that leads you to get into the building. Very close to the metro which is perfect when you want to go to all the classic sights. Close to the train that brings you to the airport (8 euros instead of paying a taxi that cost 50+ euros!). All around, GREAT place to stay! we really enjoyed our time there !!
- Agnieszka (8/5): Bardzo dobry hostel. - Spędziliśmy udane wakacje w Rzymie. Polecam ten hostel. Niezwykle miła obsługa oraz w okolicy dogodna komunikacja miejska.
- Raquel (10/5): Lovely hotel for spending holidays - Very welcoming and friendly place, excellent service and very nice staffs. Comfortable room and tasty breakfast.
- cesar (10/5): - Excelente
- Mark (8/5): week at Mariaelenas B&B - This trip was unusual because as I was getting out of the train station a little gypsy girl stole my wallet. So all my money and credit cards were gone. Mariaelena was very helpful in suggesting Western Union and I was able to make ends meet. If I were to do it again I would take a limo service to the hotel from the airport. Pay the extra, the trains are awful. Also I would rather stay nearer city center since figuring out transport or walking is unnecessary and wastes touristing time, The cappuccino and croissants for breakfast were nice. I did not prepay for the room and had a slight problem with cash being the only way to pay. It took a full day of hiking around Rome, internet, finding a Western Union office with money to resolve the payment issue. But its not an adventure without a few difficulties. Generally I had fun and a good time.
- Sergei (10/5): Nice B&B, hospitable hostess, good location - This is a small, privately owned and run B&B hotel. Located very conveniently, just about 100-150m away from Furio Camillo subway station. So there is a straightforward run to Rome historic centre, just about 15-20 minutes including the walk to the station. The district itself is good - plenty of pizza places, some small grocery and supermarket stores.
Maria Elena is very friendly, hospitable and very pleasant person. We enjoyed our stay very much.
- Herbert (8/5): A room to stay in Rome - A short stay but well please with our hotel. The owner is very friendly with her guests. The room is quite big i think more than the 5 star hotel in Rome. You will just have to share the toilet with other guests.
- Kaitlin (10/5): Wonderful, wonderful visit!!! - We had the greatest time staying at this cute B&B! Located very convienently next to the metro, we had no problem getting back even late at night by public transit.
Maria, the host, was soooo accomodating and helpful and friendly! She was able to help and offer assistance for every request we had.
I highly highly recommend staying here for your next visit to rome!!!!
Thanks again Maria!!!
- Adam (10/5): Best place to stay in Rome :) - We've spent one week in this hotel and really enjoyed it! Maria is very helpful and friendly host :) room was very clean and cozy, placed close to the subway (Linea A - Furio Camillo, good connection from Ciampino and Fiumicino airport) in safe area. It is a good base to visit the city, with metro Linea A you can get to most of must-to-visit places, to Colosseum you can easily get on foot or one bus line. Strongly recommend this place, try it yourself! :)
- Mykey (10/5): Couldn't ask for more - My stay here was fantastic. I went for 3 days with my girlfriend for her 21st birthday and it was absolutely great. Maria is amazing, very helpful with getting around Rome, buses and metro's we needed to get on, and anything else you ask, she would happily help. Room was a massive size for the two of us too and had everything you needed. All the facilities were modern and very nice! 5 stars definitely!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Value - Great location just one block from a metro station, very clean and the owner was very accommodating and helpful. Wonderful place to stay while in Rome and great value!
Weiter so! Wir kommen gerne wieder!
- Kate P (8/5): Good value, great host - The place itself was very comfortable. Large bedroom with big fairly comfortable bed (mattress was a Little firm). Great wardrobe and dresser for storage, small flat screen tv, table and chairs which was nice for eating breakfast. Very clean and somewhat modern. Maria who owns the BnB was very friendly and helpful and greeted us with a couple Cokes. The only negatives were that we couldn´t get a wifi signal at all (apparently it Works on the other side of the place, but we didn´t have Access there). The área wasn´t the best, it wasn´t the worst, just not much to do around there (no cafes for wifi or anything). The metro was a 5-10 minute walk away so fairly convenient. Also, the bathroom is very nice but there is only a bathtub with a moveable shower head, no curtain so you can´t stand up. Breakfast consisted of a couple of pastries, juice, coffee and jam so although appreciated not very filling. Overall it was comfortable and quiet for sleeping (blackout curtain) and a pretty good value.
- chan (8/5): Nice B&B - The hotel host Maria is so nice! She sent me a mail a week before I arrive, and remind me not to take the train to Roma Central Station coz it's far away from the BnB. She made me nice capucinno every morning which I really like. And everything is clean. I would love to recommend people to stay in this BnB.
- robert g (10/5): exelent stay an no problem comuting about rome - top class
Alt i alt veldig bra. Anbefales.
- Alice (8/5): Near to metro - I booked this B&B for my 2 daughters. Maria was kind and was fine with them arriving after 10 pm. It was clean and near to the metro so getting around was easy. They stayed for 5 nights and would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect ! - This B&B is just perfect ! It's very good located, near the center and very well served by tranport. I spend a really good time there, and the personal is very welcoming and charming :-) It's the place to go !
- Shyue (10/5): Stasera a casa da M.E. - It's quite convenience to traveler/backpacker as the owner can speak English and willing to help for any trip advice. Most importantly WiFi & breakfast provided as this can save up a lot.
- Jenna (10/5): We would definitely stay here again! - If you're looking for a place to stay in Rome that is conveniently located, with spacious and clean rooms, and a very unique experience, then this is the place for you. It's operated by Maria and is located in an apartment building. Her apartment is divided into her living quarters (which is kept separate) and the three rooms and 1 bathroom that serve as the hotel portion. This might seem weird, but after a long day out in Rome, it kind of felt like we were true Italians, going back to our apartment for the evening to relax. Plus, having only 2 other rooms besides ours meant that it was always quiet (that is, except for the busy street outside, which is why I gave the surrounding neighborhood a score of 4/5). The apartment is only a few blocks away from the Furio Camillo metro stop and is a quick trip to all the sites from there. A simple Italian breakfast is included as well- croissant and coffee/cappuccino/tea. The best part of this hotel was the lady who ran it, Maria. She was very kind and helpful and even let us borrow her umbrella on the days it was raining. We would definitely stay here again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent location and lovely host. - Very nice apartment, clean in excellent location for commutes via metro and train system. Maria Elena is very sweet and helpful. Would stay there again.
- Dana and Janet (10/5): Very nice and modern. - The room was very clean and had been updated within the last couple years. We visited in February. We were the only visitors except for one night, which was nice because that meant we had a monopoly on the bathroom. Maria was very nice and helpful. We were very pleased with our stay.
