- Maurizio (6/5): - La.citta Non era .ai pronta la colazione
- Альона (4/5): -
- Mindy (8/5): - Cute place, centrally located with a nice host on property.
- Timothy (6/5): - This was not an elegant place, the breakfast was avoidable, and there was a bit of rust in the shower, but the room was clean and spacious, the manager was pleasant, and overall it worked well for my needs.
- Bill (4/5): - Our flight to Barcelona was delayed by one day. We notified both the Hotel and Expedia of the delay. We were not able to use our first night due to the flight cancelation and neither the hotel or Expedia would provide a refund.
The hotel was difficult to find. We were not told that you had to ring a buzzer and that it was on the fourth floor.
The hotel was to provide us with an airport shuttle which they also did not provide. And breakfast was not provided on Sunday.
The location was central and the room was clean.
We stayed in Spain and Portugal for three weeks at different accomodations and all of them were less expensive and much nicer
- Larissa (2/5): - I don't even know where to begin to describe this place. First of all, the place is completely different from what it looks like in the photos. The conditions are terrible, dirty and old. The walls were moldy and peeling. And it also smelled like mold. The bathroom ceiling was cracked and looked like it was going to fall off at any moment. The walls of the shower and the shower were full of mold and dirt. The owner of the place seems to live there. It seems like she bought an apartment and turned them into different rooms. The breakfast is communal, all the guests sit at the same table and it is simply rubbish. On our last night when we returned to the place, there were small cockroaches crawling up the wall and there were even some in the bed. Simply disgusting. And also on the morning of check out when we woke up, small cockroaches were in the bed as well. I do not recommend this place to anyone because it is simply a scam. The only positive is the location that is walkable to the Rambla and Plaça de Catalunya but apart from that, don’t bother booking this place.
- Carla (6/5): - Nada ke ver con las fotos, es un cierto muy pequeño y muy encerrado. La locación es buena.
- Barry (4/5): - Very overpriced for a rundown property, needs decorating. Shampoo is provided and guests told to use it as shower gel. Toilet rolls rationed. Breakfast is extremely basic and communal, everyone sitting at the same table. No housekeeping in the room throughout my stay
- Robert (8/5): - Mitt i Barcelona, gångavstånd till plaza Cataluña, bussar, metro och massor restauranger.
- Linda (4/5): - Very good location but, the room smelled musty and the bathtub had mold around the tiles. No trash can to put garbage, the furniture was sparse and uncomfortable and the bed was the hardest thing I’ve slept on ever! Only one pillow.
Very noisy all night as neighbors were up all night with TV volume at maximum. Hostess and her husband had a huge early morning screaming match with each other that lasted a good hour and was quite loud and disturbing. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.
- Caroline (8/5): - Hébergement agréable et familial petit déjeuner bien accueil 24/24 mais beaucoup de bruit des chambres voisines.
- Michael (2/5): Find somewhere else! - I expected a lot more! Response from host took a day, i had no towel for the first 36 hours. Nobody answers the phone. Poorly maintained. I am small, and the shower was a tight fit. Expensive for what is provided.
- Hery (9/5): Superb - Jinky was helpful and provided useful information on how to get around Barcelona.
- Judith (10/5): - I loved how walkable this area was , easy access to Metro and bus stops . Located near La Rambla and dinning areas . The host was great and welcoming super nice ! She made my stay one to remember!
- Sebastian (9/5): Very comfortable stay - Very friendly staff, which made us nice fresh egg ham omelettes for breakfast whenever we wanted. Made sure the rooms were clean and made the stay comfortable. Easy paying and checking in/out.
- Yuliia (9/5): Superb - The location of the hotel is excellent. It is in the city centre and it is easy to get everywhere from the hotel.
The room is clean and comfortable. The receptionist is very nice woman.
- Zulihan (5/5): Passable - Mattress is so bad 😭 Not comfortable
- Rosie (6/5): Pleasant and functional - The location is excellent and the receptionist was very helpful. The shower and bed was fit for purpose and the room was spacious. Unfortunately the rooms and facilities didn’t look like the pictures at all and it lacked comfort.
- Marian (8/5): Very good -
- Reymark (7/5): Good -
- Declan (3/5): Disappointed with the property and the accommodation in general. Not a great breakfast selection.. - Accommodation was poor for the price. While location was good the facilities were very poor. I’ve seen bigger and better equipped prison cells. I wouldn’t recommend this place The way the property is advertised makes it appear there are more facilities available. Breakfast was very poor…..no cold milk for cereal, no English/Irish breakfast tea, instant coffee only
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Assefa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicola (6/5): Great location but tired and sparse accommodation - Staff very friendly, room was sparse, tired and tatty but clean. Location was superb. The room whilst clean was not as the picture on Booking.com Sparse, tired and tatty but functional. Had the image been as the room was, I wouldn’t have booked, however, location, cleanliness and staff helped.
- Pawel (3/5): great location! but I didn’t really like the hotel rooms :( if you are a sensitive person, I don’t recommend it - Personally, I didn't like anything about the apartment! it was very dark inside, it made me depressed.
The apartment does not match the photo on the website! very dirty walls! horrible smell.
- Mariana (6/5): Ok rooms but on a good location and with friendly staff - The staff was very helpful and nice and the location of the accommodation has a good location - good to walk around on foot. The bed was comfortable The accommodation should have some work done, as it looks old. The pictures make the accommodation look better than it is.
- Rachael (7/5): Nice place, good location. - It was a simple room, everything was clean, location was great. No frills, but breakfast in the morning was nice and staff was friendly and helpful.
**Note when checking in you press the "Appartments" button at the address and they will buzz you in. Furnishings seemed a little random/disjointed and it was very paired back/basic which sometimes can feel a little off-putting.
- Gus (2/5): One of the worst rooms I have ever stayed in. - Nothing The room looked like a prison cell and the host was atrocious
- Elmamoon (6/5): Pleasant - 1. Good location.
2. Jinky was very pleasant and helpful. 1. No clear sign with the name of the apartment on it, it was very difficult to locate the place.
2. AC wasn't working.
3. One breakfast option.
4. The property number was actually different from the number booking.com has, this is why my calls were never answered!
5. I have requested a room with two single beds two months before my arrival, still the room wasn't ready upon our arrival.
- Shah (5/5): Passable - It was clean. There was no sign of the hotel in the building or something stated about the hotel .
The hotel was on the 2nd floor of the building and was very difficult to find as there was no bill board or something like that on the gate of the building. Needed locals help and about an hour to find it . Was trying to call but nobody was answering the phone And the staff was sleeping when we reached there.
It was way overpriced as for the services given.
- Timothy (2/5): Less cool - Swimming Golf
- Ewa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Panagiotis (1/5): Bad - Only the location was good We waited outside for an hour no one answered the phone finally we ring all the bells we ask the neighbours and we find the lady with the keys ..
- Leslie (10/5): Jinky made the stay very comfortable and helped with local tips to get us around Barcelona better. - The receptionist Jinky was very accommodating. Our flight was delayed and we could not get in contact with them to let them know of the later check in time. There was no issue on our arrival and the room was in a spotless condition.
The breakfast that was included was really good too. Simple eggs and ham with lots of bread, fruit and cereal options available.
The air conditioning was a bonus and was quite powerful. The mattress is a bit firmer than Im used to, but for a few nights this was fine.
- Olivia (4/5): Tatty room and shabby facilities. Good location. - Good location Not how it looked in the pictures. The furniture was tatty, marked and worn. The shower was covered in black mould and the bedroom just looked shabby. The shower was also broken.
Breakfast was ok but there were no facilities to make tea/coffee at any other time.
The walls were very thin so you could hear other guests.
I was very disappointed. Glad I didn't spend much time actually there!
- rossym335 (2/5): Do not come here!!! - First, this is not a hotel. They are a bunch of rooms together. Very noisy and impossible to sleep in here. Old croissant, one single table for all guest, not clean towels, the lady in charged was very rude, there’s no front desk (bc it’s not a hotel), it’s hard to check in because there are no signs from the street. I can go on and on. Most horrible place I’ve ever stayed at.
- Maggie (3/5): Poor - Some croissant and bread will offer every morning, also milk or juice, coffee, etc.,
Not bad breakfast, and Jioksan is enthusiastic to us. The hardware in apartment really can not march it's cost.
We paied a very very high cost, higer than downstair hotel, but all the hardware are bad.
Like the toilt, it broken 2 times, and dirty water all around the bathroom, can not use it at all.
Really bad experiences. And noisy when you use any water, hardware too old there.
Most important is high cost, i don't know why booking recommand this one to me, maybe because the commission to them.
And when we want to cancel one night, they just told us no, we can not, really unhappy.
- Olga (7/5): Good -
- Ullash (4/5): Disappointing -
- Giacomo (8/5): Very good - the room, the toilet, the location sometimes it can get a bit noisy from the outside
- Charaf-eddine (4/5): It was not agreeable to have the inconvenience to change accomodation at a very late stage , - no breakfast was provided , as we were put in another accomodation without breakfast provided . I was advised at a very late stage that the bath in the room I had reserved broke and We had to be put in another accomodation . When I arrived in barcelona airport , I phoned the number we were given at confirmation , but no answer .
I went thus to the hotel . The lady there was helpful and she said that the phone number we were given was the office number and at that time it was closed . She gave us the new adress where we were put . We had to go by taxi .
The accomodation was in the gothic quarter . It was ok safe that the aeration in the bathroom was very noisy , and the insulation from the street noises was not adequate .
- Yonhel (10/5): Jinky the lady in charge of the reception and the person who take care of the guests was very nice. She was always avail -
- Lamees (10/5): Good customer service - The location was very good everything was near and there was a lot of restaurant near to the hotel and a big shopping places was near too and the customer service was so good the lady that working there in the recepion was amazing she was so friendly and she helped us a lot special thanks to her.
- Andrew (1/5): Don’t stay here!! - Location, honestly that’s about it. Let us switch to a double room. A sign showing where the apartments where, would be a great start.
Rooms are not as shown in the pictures.
Water kept going cold.
One of the room you where unable to flush toilet paper but the bin was not emptied over the three days.
They served out of date food at breakfast.
Paid the security deposit and they refused to pay it back saying it was city tax.
- rashatazami (2/5): TERRIBLE - i was really disappointed when the travel agency booked for us in this facility and we didn't pay little money..we could have stayed in a REAL hotel with almost the same amount of money...breakfast is only served at 9 am..and when he had to leave earlier one day we could not have breakfast..breakfast is a cup of milk, scrambled egg and ham..no vegetables or fruits..the room is small and not comfortable
- rominay522 (4/5): Photos do noy reflect reality - The hotel is well located and easy to find but once you're in front there is no sign, no nothing. You call the number given and there is a lady who answers who doesn't speak English and is only repeating sorry, sorry...2nd floor..,
Then, the room smells like a window has never been open. There are no towels. I went to ask for some as it was a hot summer day and I needed a shower. The lady, on her computer, tells me "I give tonight". I was starting to get really upset. I need it now, I said so she gave me one with holes in it and greyish..
Breakfast time. My friend and I went to Barcelona only for the weekend so in order to save time we paid for the breakfast option. The lady, who I guess lives there and "maintains" the place startded slowly to prepare the breakfast after 9... We didn't wait for the breakfast the other 2 days. We didn't want to lose half the day.
Presentation and reality are very different.. Our room B3, had cables hanging from the walls, unpleasant smell, noisy aircon and so on....
The room was CLEANED ONCE!!!. We arrived Friday and left Monday.
- 268josephg (4/5): Dissapointing Facility Terrible B&B - Facility is below tourist norms, in my opinion. There was a discolored hole in the ceiling in restroom which was temporarily repaired. Wall patches were made but not painted. Upon arrival the receptionist, Jenky, gave me two large bath towels that were old and worn. One had an old red stain on it. I agree with a former reviewer (Stephanie C) who said the online pictures are not accurate. Pics did not present the facility accurately. The elevator was from another era. Lastly, there is no store front or reception desk, so be sure you have cell contact capability to get someone to open the main entrance.
- ServeshT2 (6/5): Cheapest & nearest to La ramblas street - Place is very near to catalunya famous street and most of attraction can reach easily by public transport as University underground metro is just 150mtr walk away.Lots of restaurent in vicinity.
Apartment is located on 02nd floor having lift facility.Rooms are very normal but clean and tidy.they have common kitchen facility with electic chulha and big refrigerator,if you want to cook anything by own.they serve breakfast too but nothing hot only cold items like cornflakes, sandwiches with cheese and beacon, bread butter jam and readymate cup cakes.
Overall you can choose this apartment if you are looking for budget hotel and near to catalunya.
- Melj16 (6/5): Value for money - I don't know why people have gave bad reviews. What do you expect to get for the price you are paying?
It's absolutely fine. It's not a palace, but it is absolutely sufficient for a short stay in Barcelona.
Perfectly located, comfortable bed, clean room and decent bathroom. For £50 per night, what do you want?
Breakfast was basic, but fine.
Staff were polite.
We would return :)
- M3789GHstephaniec (4/5): Not good - Not an apartment. Not a good room for this price. The pictures are inaccurate. I've attached a picture of what the room really looks like. Portable airconditioning is on a chair and exhaust pipe is duct taped to the window. Blinds can only close halfway and they're translucent. Noisy neighbours (it's in a residential building). Sheets smell strongly of washing detergent. Bathroom was alright though that's probably the only saving grace.
- DVDPlayer_13 (4/5): Not an apartment - Despite the name "Apartment in Barcelona" this is not an appartment. It is an unserviced hotel room with access to a shared kitchen. There is no privacy as the woman who runs the place is constantly doing laundy/ironing in the common area and/or talking loudly to her family/friends who frequent the place on evenings and weekends. Some rooms are pleasant but most have noisy portable airconditioners. Top location but overall but I don't support dishonest marketing.
- DrAnkurGupta (4/5): Over priced and less Amenities - No Air conditioning was there in the room given to us ( E6) , got an excuse that Neighbour not allowing !!
So get ready to sweat to beat Barcelona heat !!
Only bread butter and egg in breakfast ( to be prepared self ) no one offered us to prepare our breakfast , cannot eat daily same breakfast , no fruits or fresh items ...
Commode Flush tank not working ( this we were told after we complained about it ..
She told us to shake it every time and wait for it to work ...wow ...
We stayed for 5 days but bedsheets not changed a single time .. bed making done after requesting , no floor cleaning done ...
Toiletries only shower gel provided ...
LCD tv not USB compatible..
- Yannick_Kymani (2/5): False advertising, terrible customer service - We stayed two nights and were extremely disappointed at so many levels, firstly, the room looked NOTHING like the pictures we had been shown, it was spartan and looked dirty. We had no idea what was going on with the woman taking care of the place, she was rude and obnoxious. The worse customer service. Every request seem to bother her. And there were so many comings and goings, and loud discussions late at night with who knows who (we couldn't tell if they were guests or friends or family or what). We simply cannot recommend this place to stay in.
- tanevi_2007 (10/5): Great appartment, great host - Me, my husband and my daughter stayed in that appartment, in a double room with extra bed. It has the best location, the best places are on a walking distance. It is nice, comfortable and clean. Our stay in that appartment was very satisfying. Everything was not just ok, but great. The host, Jinky, is extremly cool, polite and hospitable and she makes the best omelette for breakfast. My daughter liked her a lot.
- elisazanichelli (10/5): Value for money - Great location for the city and for the connection to the airport.Room very simple like essential was the breakfast. 80 euro a day for 3 people is value for money.Special thanks to miss
Jinky that she put all her power and smile to be a great place for holiday. Elisa Dimitris Alexia
- adithim2016 (4/5): Never again! - The beautiful pictures are the biggest disappointment. The rooms look nothing like that when you check in. They are tiny and very basic. The only good aspect of staying here is that it's centrally located.
The lady who runs the hotel is rude and obnoxious. We arrived around midnight and she seemed very annoyed at being woken up from sleep. Our stay included free breakfast and when we requested eggs she made a bit of a fuss over preparing us fresh eggs. She isn't the perfect example of a warm and welcoming host.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
- 404dami_nf (8/5): Great location - It has everything you need for a guesthouse, spaceful room, private bathroom and very good location. Don't expect any luxury though. It's on a 3rd floor so it's a bit annoying to go up and down after partying.. many bars and restaurants in the area and placa catalunya is only a 10min walk. Quite pleased with it.. though if you want some more confort then you gotta show the money a bit more. This is more a budget guesthouse
- 229halaa (2/5): Disgusting -
Bad choice for barcelona.. So Expensive because no house keeping available.. 8 days with no body to clean and no available detergent.
The apartment is not clean. The bathroom contains small bugs and it is disgusting. If you are planning to be in Barcelona for tourism don't even think about reserving in this apartment. Nothing is available except low quality wifi available only at the living room. A clean hotel with smaller rooms will be better.
Some people keep ringing the interphone at midnight. It was a bad experience.
- gordans517 (10/5): Beautiful Barcelona! - This apartment suite was the perfect size with all the modern amenities of stylist, urban living at a budget. I had a wonderful time. Jinky is a kind and generous soul, giving us one of the best suites and a lovely, homey experience. The location is in the heart of everything and close to shopping, restaurants and sites. Unforgettable experience! Oh and do go up to the rooftop! You'll get a gorgeous view.
- Aliona_Maksimchuk (10/5): Very good - Сame to Barcelona for 4 days. Pre-booked another hostel and lived in it all night. The next day, decided to find better accommodation for the trip advayser found this hotel and decided posmoret. Compared to our hostel, it was a hundred times better. I do not know what was written on the account of the conditions - we found no cons, only one - yes, it's not a hotel.
We knew that we would not live in the hotel and therefore took all necessary - slippers, shampoo. Accordingly, this inconvenience is not felt
The apartments are located in the center, in a very pleasant area. The first hostel was near Las Ramblas and we realized that there is good only during the day, and live there awful. Near the hotel there are bars, convenience stores. In the evening there progulivatsya pleasure.
Our room had a private bathroom. As for the rooms - very comfortable, clean, windows facing the street. In this room prosypaeshsya in a good mood. Very comfortable bed. We were at the end of November, in spite of that the room is warm.
The hostess is very nice and friendly. Came when they wanted to. The price included breakfast, but we took only rolls with jam and yogurt. It was also possible to drink tea, coffee, but we bought a. The apartments have a kitchen, which can be shared. Wi fi worked fine. There are hair dryer.
In general, comparing the two hostel and the fact that it had worse reviews - here is much better. I advise everyone. We were very pleased.
- 60tamh (10/5): friendly and clean - just back from 3 night stay here, the apartment is in a shared stair use the lift to level 2.the room was a decent size for us 3 men, with good sized bathroom with shower toilet and bidet.2 free to use a/c fans also provided.free wifi in room also provided.it is only a5 /10 minute walk to the top of las rambalas ,there is also a near by metro station for people who dont like walking,if money is no option then you can expect to pay tourist prices to eat on las ramblas, there are many small cafes off side streets where you can get a coffee and crossiant for 2 euro and a veggie kebab for 4 euro aswell as the large market bodgeria where the tapas and a glass of wine is cheap as chips.we found the location of our b&b perfect for walking to most attractions, one tip is to download the trip advisor app for android makes it easy to find those attractions without going round in circles.finally must a big thanks to Jinky being so helpfull ,making the best omellette ive had, keeping the room nice and tidy and also letting us store our bags as our flights were at night .ignore the negative reviews this really is value for money .30 euros for taxi to airport should add
- moshes729 (2/5): Stay away from this place - Horrible!!! - I stayed here with my girlfriend in the dates 10-12/07/2014
This is a big apartment that is divided to 6-7 rooms. The place is run by a bunch of foreign people that LIVE there. Not all the rooms have air condition. I got a room with a portable AC that is very noisy so I asked to change a room. Both of the rooms we got were small and not so clean. there are broken tiles in the bathroom and broken hangers for the towels.
The breakfast is lousy. We got croissants wrapped individually, orange juice, milk and some ham and cheese. It was very disappointing. No eggs or nothing like that. Nothing was cooked, everything looked like it was bought from the store down the street and even if they would have cooked eggs or something I wouldn't eat it there because the kitchen was filthy.
One of the nights we heard noise form the living room, when I looked I saw that the foreign people who run the place invited their friends (about 12 people) and they ate in the living room and celebrated a birthday for one of them. They made a lot of noise. It was very scary.
