Guest Reviews
- Tero (10/5): Hyvä sijainti - Hyvä sijainti ja pieni viihtyisä hotelli.
- Sebastian (10/5): - Great Hotel!!
- Stella (8/5): - Great little hidden gem if you opt for accommodation outside of Venice. Easy to get to from airport, within walking distance once you are in Murano island.
- Silvia (10/5): - grazie al Sig. Cesare per la sua cordialità e disponibilità.
Incantevole soggiornare sull'isola di Murano.
- Klaus (10/5): kleines Haus, familiäre, sehr freundliche... - ...Atmosphäre, sehr gutes Bett. Was will man mehr?
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location in a classic Venetian building. - Good location in the centre of Murano - excellent welcome from the owner who gave good information regarding places to see in the area. Adequate continental breakfast. Note that the rooms are all up several steep flights of steps and there is no lift, but this is to be expected for a classic building in Venice.
- Karina (10/5): - Sehr gut
- maxine (10/5): Amazing - Everything and more i could have hoped for
- Christopher (10/5): Stay here - Family owned business.Very nice
- Roswitha (10/5): tolles Service!!!!
- Debra (10/5): Vatican view - Daniel was a wonderful host. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. And we had a view of the Vatican from our room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - went to venice for romantic weekend .murano is a good place to stay that is a bit quieter. less restaurants on the island for dinner. room was very tiny. balcony opened to rooftops and directly across from window with cleaning products on outside. balcony had white powder scattered on ground- not sure what that was. shower screen needed cleaning on outside but was clean on inside. shower screen did not close tightly so water got onto floor with every shower. good breakfast. room had nice decor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and excellent service!. The room was as expected and murano is the best place to stay.
- Monika (8/5): - Srdecné uvítání panem majitelem, příjemný a klidný pobyt, bohatá snídaně a výborný service.
- Cody (10/5): The best experience in Venice/Italy!! - Cesare is the best host you will ever find. He provides more than anyone could ask for in an immaculate hotel, which provides any traveler perfect ammenities and a cozy, quiet feel, while upholding complete luxury and picturesque quality. As you enter your dream stay, you realize Cesare is a dream host and a true friend that you'll want to stay with again and again. Cesare takes the trouble out of navigating through your vacation in a foreign place. He not only made sure everything in the hotel/stay was perfect, but also went above and beyond to show us the best things to do and see in the area as well! The Murano Palace is clean, comfortable and safe and is located in a truly beautiful and quiet place with excellent shopping and dining opportunities. This was an unforgettable experience that everyone should try to grab hold of, even if only in the area for a short time. Although we wished we had more time at the Murano palace, no matter what your stays duration, make this a must do - you will never forget this unbelievable location, hotel, and experience.
- Margery (8/5): Murano Palace is top class - We stayed at the Murano Palace for 4 nights we could not have picked a better Hotel. It was everthing we hoped for. It was spotless clean lovely view of the canal beautifully decorated and Cesare the owner could not do enough for us.He explained what to see and how to get there and was a real gentleman. We just loved Murano it was so quiet and peaceful much better than staying in Venice. We hope to return in the near future.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to boat stop. Very friendly B&B. - Lovely lovely lovely. Murano is a very peaceful place compared to main Venice.
- Mónica (10/5): SIMPLEMENTE EXPECTACULAR - EL SEÑOR CESARE ES ENCANTADOR Y NOS EXPLICO TODO LO QUE PODIAMOS VER EN LA ISLA DE VERDAD FUE MUY BONITA LA EXPERIENCIA
- Terri-Leigh (10/5): Brilliant Hotel - We had a fantastic time and the hotel owner in particular was incredibly helpful and informative. The island of Murano is very quiet in the evenings and most places are closed by 6, which is very peaceful but means it's important to plan evening meals in advance. Hotel was near perfect, lovely breakfast and service.
- fred (10/5): Murano Hotel - Overall a very nice small hotel, clean, friendly & hospitable, decent breakfast, good location. Murano is picturesque, but nearly no place to eat at night.
- Pam (10/5): Clean & Classy - Perfect location in a quaint quiet location. Owner was fantastic, friendly and helpful. Perfect in every way, clean & classy! Very accommodating!
- Chris (10/5): Quiet hotel with a canal view - We arrived at the island after a hot, draining train trip and were thrilled with the reception from the owner. Initially our booking couldn't be found, but the owner reassured us that there was a room available and showed us two options. He offered us an upgrade to a canal view room for the same price as our original quote which was more spacious. Following this he gave us some outstanding advice on the island arrangements, for example glass shops, restaurants, ferry timetables and main island visits. This all proved to be invaluable and guaranteed that our short stay was maximised.
The small hotel was brilliant because as Giordano had explained Murano Island became very quiet after 6 pm when the retail outlets closed and most of the tourists went back to the main island. At the end of the day, it was like a breath of fresh air to get off the ferry and feel very relaxed because it was so peaceful staying on another island. The hotel was beautifully set up, clean and the staff were exceptionally helpful. It was no disadvantage staying on the outer island because there are plenty of ferry options, either direct or with stops. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Murano Palace to anybody.
- Martin (10/5): Sehr gutes B&B ! - Schöne Insel der Glasbläser Kultur....Hervorragende Kunstwerke aus Glas. Abends wenn die Touristen die Insel verlassen haben, kehrt Ruhe ein!...............................
- Verified traveler (8/5): VEnice for venetians after 9 pm - Nice room. Quiet neighborhood. No problem to reach Murano, even in the evening. Very friendly and helpful owner. Only downside: simple breakfast for the price. Small breakfast room. Some music would help. Tables are placed 50 cm from each other.
- PERI (10/5): GREAT PLACE TO STAY IN MURANO - MURANO IS PRICEY BUT THIS HOTEL WAS WORTH THE STAY! IT IS A TINY HOTEL VERY NEAR EVERYTHING IN MURANO. GREAT OWNER/MANAGER. I COULDN'T RECOMMEND IT MORE HIGHLY.
- Robin (10/5): Personal service at its best - The perfect place to stay away from the hustle & bustle of the main island of Venice. Only 12 mins away on the water bus. Cesare & Donnatella run a delightful bed & breakfast & couldn't have been more helpful
- Happy Visitor (8/5): Nice place to arrive to when visiting Venice - Easier to arrive here than to main part of Venice. Take Aligulala directly from airport. Keeps you from getting swallowed by the crowds of Venice. The hotel and island were a joy to explore. The host Caesar is a delight, and helped us numerous times with arrangements and ideas for activities. Alas, mosquitoes did cause us to loose sleep, as others have written.
- fred (8/5): Nice Little Hotel - Lovely little hotel, nice room and comfortable bed.
- Arthur (10/5): 30th wedding anniversary - murano the quiet village in busy venice don't tell anyone
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely hotel in a perfect location - Just returned yesterday from the Murano Palace. The location was stunning and Cesare the owner was a wonderful, knowledgable host. We went for a basic room because we decided that we would not be spending much time there but in hindsight wish we had payed for an upgrade - our room was a little small but the other rooms looked bright and beautiful!
In 1 woord prachtig. Ruime badkamer met ligbad en douche. Heel heel proper. Wij komen hier zeker terug.
- Katy (10/5): Erinomainen palvelu huippusijainnilla - Ystävällinen, huomioiva ja palveleva hotelli loistavalla paikalla Muranon sydämessä. Tehokas ilmastointi ja moitteeton siisteys. Upea huone!
- Michael (8/5): Nice for an overnight stay but has limitations - A very small 'hotel' located above a Murano glass / jewelry store. The store is also owned by the hotel.
The entrance is located down a small alley with no obvious signage apart from a freestanding temporary sign outside.
There seems to be no hotel elevator so we had to take the cases up several flights of stairs to get to the very small reception area. It would be relatively hard work for some older visitors.
Our bedroom overlooked the alley, even though we had been upgraded to a 'superior room'. The en-suite window overlooked the canal but the window glass was obviously frosted.
Our bedroom was very clean and well decorated in a typical Venetian style and done to a high standard but the en-suite was not in character with the bedroom. It was very nicely tiled with good facilities but in a very modern style.
We could not help feeling we were in someone's home instead of a hotel.
The breakfast was very basic and limited. There did not seem to be any breakfast menu for additional hot food etc.
The owner, Cesare, was very friendly and helpful.
We only stayed for one evening and found the location very convenient for touring Murano.
It was ideal for our last night of our cruise holiday as Murano is such a pretty venue.
If you like very quiet, small and unassuming hotels you will like this one but from our point of view it was more of a very nice upmarket B&B than a 4+ star hotel. It is certainly not a palace in the UK-meaning of the word.
- Michelle W (10/5): A lovely boutique hotel - Our short stay at Murano Palace proved to be a highlight for me personally - the owner of the hotel Was not only charming, but thoroughly knowledgeable in every aspect of the island. He was able to arrange several private tours of the local glass factories, and did so with a graciousness that is unparalleled. The room was well decorated, (I am an Interior Designer and usually quite picky about such things) clean and quite comfortable. It was very centrally located on Murano and most everything was within easy walking distance. The evenings wer equiet and serene on Murano - a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of busy Venice.
- Hellias (10/5): Excellent !
- Julie (6/5): Disappointed - Breakfast was very disappointing with luke warm water for tea and when we asked for it to be boiled, he ran the tap and came back with more luke warm water. The coffee was too strong and also cold. Apart from the croissants which were only apricot filled and good, the rest was packets, very unexciting.
Our room was at the back and although comfortable the noise from the next door's generator was disturbing at night, but when we asked if there was another room they just looked blank and did nothing. The hotel was half empty so they could easily have moved us. Most unhelpful. We won't return when there are so many other beautiful hotels to choose from. Staying on Murano was great though after the busyness of Venice, it was very calm.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice stay in Murano - Nice staff and great location. They even accommodated special request and the Restaurant B next door was the best meal I've had in Italy.
- Anne (10/5): Delightful surprise!! - We did not know what to expect when we arrived at the Murano Palace B & B. We could not be more delighted with our stay. It was easy to find, we were made to feel welcome from the time we walked in the door. Our room was large and well appointed. The owners were helpful and welcomed us into their family as if we were old friends. The breakfast was perfect! A little different each day which was nice since we were staying for multiple nights.
I highly recommend staying on Murano, it is away from the hustle and bustle of Venice, at 6pm the tourists go away and leave you with a quiet and enjoyable evening. And the Murano Palace B & B is a great place to spend your time and money! I felt like I got 5 star treatment for 3 star price!!!
