Con una nevera y armario con muchas perchas en la habitación. Un balcón en la habitación y una terraza común ideal para desayunar. Café, te y leche gratuitos. Ducha grande aunque el baño era pequeño. Champú y jabón. El personal muy amable. Caramelos en la recepción que mis niñas cogían siempre. Hemos estado muy agusto. Repetiremos sin dudarlo.

• Ilona (6/5): - Het hostal heeft een prima ligging, op het eerste oog prima kamers maar helaas is alles sterk verouderd en niet echt goed onderhouden. De kamers zijn gehorig en als je aan de straatkant ligt zijn oordoppen geen overbodige luxe. Voor een nachtje slapen zonder hoge verwachtingen prima. Bij aankomst vriendelijk ontvangen, check-out zeer kil. Handig om te weten aan de overzijde van de straat zit een fijn ontbijtcafé.

Les points négatifs : chambre très petite qui donne directement sur la terrasse, impossible d'ouvrir le store et la fenêtre tout le monde à la vue sur la chambre. Salle de bain équipée d'un lave mains et non pas d'un lavabo !!! Ancien miroir remplacé par un nouveau placé au dessus, les anciens supports pas retirés. Rapport qualité-prix très mauvais pour le type de prestation : 3 nuits pour un prix moyen par nuit de 166 euros taxes comprises Très déçu de cet hôtel qui n'est pas représentatif des photos présentes sur le site.

• Verified traveler (6/5): It’s a Hostal - No windows in room. Walls like paper-next door neighbor a loud snorer so some rough nights. Staff was good and room relatively clean. Location was good and building seems safe. Bed and pillows were bare minimum. It’s a Hostal so I get it’s got some limitations but if you are asking how it was this is how it was. Coffee was served in reception area, and when it ran out staff just added more water through the same grounds. Photos were a little deceptive, there is no readily available laundry. We were able to do a monitored Covid test over WiFi but I would say the signal is barely enough. Overall the bare minimum for an acceptable stay. I have stayed at Hostals in Espana before by the way. Again, staff was very friendly and helpful but the facility is limiting.

• Agnès (10/5): Bien situé - Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une chambre qui ne donnait pas sur la rue (bruyante), mais sur une jolie terrasse. La chambre est bien, la salle de bain avec baignoire est suffisante, même si le lavabo est en fait un lave-mains peu pratique. C'est cependant mal isolé, mais il y a la clim (mise en chauffage car séjour début novembre !). Le personnel est accueillant et sympa. Nous avons garé la voiture au parking public avec un prix avantageux en passant par l'hôtel. La localisation est parfaite : 15mn à pied de la place Catalunya, 21mn de la Sagrada, nickel !

• Tatjana (10/5): Lovely 5 night stay. - Lovely little hostal (on the cheaper end as we were backpacking Spain). No breakfast as far as I’m aware. Reception on the first floor, open 24 hours. Our room was good, small with a double bed. The bathroom door didn’t shut properly as the frame was broken - but it didn’t particularly matter. Comfortable enough bed with 1 pillow each - a bit squeaky. Hostal is right next door to a shop and there are loads of bakeries etc in the area. All in all a good hostal. Would recommend. Only thing I would say is there is a city tax not included in the price. Most places we’re staying at didn’t have this. Maybe it was a Barcelona thing. Anyway it is written in the small print. Oh and the lift - which is very safe to use, is a little noisy. Could hear it sometimes in our room.

• C Jeffrey (8/5): - The Hostal Colkida has character, which is to say it’s not like the cookie cutter hotels that are typical of the U.S. The staff was friendly and helpful! The courtyard was great. It was very comfortable to relax there before bed and to sit and eat breakfast foods we’d purchased at a local supermercat. There is a small elevator, which was a great blessing given two heavier pieces of luggage, which we took up one at a time. The one big drawback was the WiFi. They have WiFi, but it was unreliable.

I was just looking for somewhere to shower and change and grab a few hours sleep on a flying visit and didn’t expect much for the price. My room was huge and modern, fab decor and little balcony too. The best part of this property is the location, which is really close to Casa Battló, Sagrada Familia and other attractions. It is also well connected to the El Prat airport, using the Renfe service R2 Nord.

• Sam (10/5): a great example of the eixample - Very well-run hostal in a great location. Our room was one of several (4 or 5?) on the 3rd (to Europeans) floor of an older building. The rooms have been completely renovated, and are clean and comfortable, with a neutral modern IKEA-style decor. There's a common kitchen are for all the rooms on the floor, which is very nice. The hostal staff are helpful, and seem to comprehend many languages. There is a large and beautiful back patio on the entrance (mezzanine) level of the hostal. The location could not be better. Carrer Roger de Luria is in the heart of Eixample, but within a ten minute walk of the Barrio Gotico. There are many very pleasant cafes and restaurants in the neigbourhood, which we found much more comfortable and quiet than the Barrio. And the facades of the buildings in the area are stunning modernista masterpieces. The elevator is quaint (and small), but we found that using the stairs helped (a little) to compensate for all the pastry we were consuming in the neighbourhood bakeries. Given Barcelona accommodation prices, Hostal Colkida is a great choice for people who need cleanliness and comfort, but don't want to pay for a 3-star hotel.
• Diana Alina (10/5): Great place - We loved our stay at colkida! It was clean, staff very nice and helpful, speaking good English, location was good and in reach for most of what we wanted to visit. There is also a nice terrace for smokers or to chill. There are a lot of eating places in the neighborhood for all types of budgets, also supermarkets. Plaça catalunya was at 12/15 min away and the aerobus station is there too. The room we had was for 3 persons, we had a window and enough space, small table, not noisy, nice bathroom. I have to say again that the staff was really nice and always and at any hour avalilable to help and in a good mood. There is a small staircase and small elevator but we didn’t have big things to carry so it was good for us. Also at the reception there is a coffee machine where you can buy or make your coffee. Thank you for your hospitality, for sure we will visit you again next time :)

On the last day the tiny lift was out of service. We thought we would be carting our bags down 4 flights of stairs, however it was fixed in time for us to check out.

Room was sparse, elevator is very old-school. You need to climb a very narrow winding staircase. But they have a pretty courtyard and serve a free light breakfast with coffee and muffins. Overall it’s a great value.?

Hostel is centrally located near 2 metro stations, Girona and Passeig de Gracia making it easy to visit many Barcelona attractions by a short metro ride. Hotel front desk staffs spoke good English and were truly warm and helpful. The triple room was very clean with a nice smell upon check in. Everything was almost perfect except that there was no tea making facilities (kettle & cups) inside the room but they however were kind enough to lend me a kettle when I requested for one. I also love the Spanish sweets (from different parts of Spain) that they served throughout the day near the lobby area made free for all the guests. My family really enjoyed our time in Barcelona thanks to this great accommodation as well.
• Agnese (10/5): Perfect location, great staff and little breakfast - We stayed in triple room with husband and 3 years old daughter middle of November for 4 nights. Room was simple but very nice and clean we liked our double bed with was in one part not two singles as in most places, beds were very comfy. Even if in hotel description told do not provide breakfast, every morning you have possibility to have a tee, croissants, little cakes, fruits and you can enjoy your start of the day in hotels terrace which is full with sun in the mornings. Location is very good all amenities are in walking distance - farest max 45min walk. Staff is very friendly and in last day as our plane was just in the evening we could leave our baggage without any charge until evening in hotel. Around lots of restaurant, caffes, minimarkets. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone - nice price, comfy, clean, friendy, good location and peaceful

Weak AC - not sure if it was working at all. There was no individual control in the room and only one central control for all of the floor in a locked cupboard. 2. No provision of fans - As it was very hot and the AC wasn't making any difference, we requested a table fan, which they didn't have. We could not open the window as it opens directly on the street and it would have been difficult to sleep with the noise. 3. We stayed for 7 days and were given small tubes of soap and shampoo that finished by day 3. These were then not replaced. 4. Mattress was very basic. 5. No provision of kettle, tea, coffee or biscuits in the room. 6. No breakfast provided in the hotel, although there are many cafes near by. 7. Our electronic room keys were unreliable. One evening they had to resort to unscrew the door lock. 8. Overall, I think this was not value for money.

The location was great for seeing the beautiful city of Barcelona, and the hotel reception staff was incredibly helpful upon check in- explaining the location of important sites on a map and giving us recommendations for activities and food. Although we did not participate, there was even a free tour of the city offered daily. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable hotel in Barcelona.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Reasonably priced-centrally located - This is a centrally located, very clean hostel with cafes nearby, and easy base for walking tours of Barcelona. The staff was great-attentive & responsive & English speaking, for any of our inquiries or needs. The rooms were very clean but travelers should understand that the lower cost is a trade for smaller rooms. Everything was there for creature comforts & the smaller size didn't bother us at all, as we use our room as a base, not for lounging. Travellers should take note of its exact location and address-the entrance faces the street but the hotel sign is a little small and set into the façade-the taxi folks had a little difficulty figuring it out! Definitely a great return for the lesser amount charged for this hostel.

• Happy Traveller (8/5): Nice hostal - This hostal is in a good location. I had a room where you could control your own air conditioning.The room was adequate and very clean,as was the bathroom. Plenty of hot water. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
• Thk (8/5): Good deal - Great all around, it would be better if there was air conditioning in our room. The room was small but it was comfortable and clean. Hot water was consistent from the shower.

• Tracy (10/5): Great Budget Hotel in Barcelona - We had a great stay at the Agua Alegre. The location was one block from the Passeig de Gràcia and Gaudi's Casa Batlló. There were some excellent restaurants nearby and getting around the city by metro was very easy with a metro station two blocks away. Our only problem was not realizing that the hotel would not supply soap/shampoo but was easily remedied. We did have an issue with the room when the maid service forgot to lock the door but the entire floor had a lock and no one bothered the room while we were out. We did appreciate the large windows overlooking the street as the ceiling fan did little to cool the room from the July heat. Our choice had more to do with price and the ability to bring our dog with us as she has a medical condition requiring medication daily and we choose not to travel without her. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the hotel was easily located from the metro, even for a first time visitor to Barcelona.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Clean enough but let down by maintenance - Clean and comfortable enough, but the first the lock to my room didn't work and secondly the lock to the shared bathroom was completely broken for most of my stay.
• Tony (2/5): NEVER AGAIN - The room smelled of sewerage as soon as we used toilet. Source of smell seemed to be the shower drain. IT WAS A MISTAKE TO STAY HERE.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Great location, easy to get around - Room number 4 was so hot in the middle of summer. There was not enough ventilation and it was often so much hotter in the room than outside. The staff were helpful enough to provide us with another fan which helped a little. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

• Rita Lee (2/5): Hotel Agua Algre at Barcelona, Spain - The room facilities are minimal or zero, just only provide two narrow boards for holding sleeping things. A table with two chairs are not stable. Hot water provision for bathing is not stable. No hanging racks for occupying the toilet tissue, teeth brush as well as the shower gel. The shower tank is too narrow to stand-in. We cannot tolerate that we made booking of this hotel becasue it mentioned a free wifi is provided. However, wifi service is provided at the common area only. We find this hotel is not in standard and will not recommend it to others.

• Jon (8/5): agua alegre - friendly staff, and easy to find. close to the city, and a perfect place for a cheap, fun getaway. lovely room, felt like a safe hotel, and a great place to see the city from.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Agua Allegre - Convenient location, nice terrace. No kitchen, no refrigerators. Very thin walls, the noise carries. Very simple, small plain room. Bed, nightstand, walls. No outside window. The shared bathrooms were dirty and the water flooded in the bathroom due to clogged drains. The staff were very helpful and spoke English fluently. They do have a luggage storage area which is convenient. The train goes directly from the airport to passage Gracia for 3 euros which is very convenient.

• Jennifer (10/5): Perfect, would definitely stay again! - Stayed here for four nights with my girlfriend and were warmly welcomed. We had a double room with private bathroom and a terrace area. The room was spacious, had a very comfy bed (although could have done with some extra pillows - if sure they would have given them to us, but we never bothered to ask..) and perfectly adequate for what we needed and what we paid. The bathroom was very small - and we had some hot water problems, but otherwise we couldn't complain. The courtyard gets the sun all day and personally i don't think the photos here do it justice! we practically had the whole place to ourselves - which was great for us, perfect to chill out, sunbathe and have some drinks. But if you're looking to meet other people this may not be the best place - although we went in the middle of May which is not the most popular time of year. There are cafes and a supermarket literally on the doorstep which is good for breakfast and supplies as there is only a coffee and vending machine in the hotel. amazing location for all the sites and passieg de gracia (perfect for airport transfers). Overall i really rated this place and would definitely stay there again when i go back, but wouldn't recommend staying there for longer than we did as its quite basic and the bathroom was very small.
• Richard (4/5): Agua Allegre - Great location easy to find, friendly staff (english speaking) My room was on the street, (very noisy street). Bed and pillows past their time. Overall my room needed a lot of maintainence (refurbishment) the room was clean(?) but I was grateful to move to another hotel and have a good shower
• Adam (10/5): Awesome Clean Hostel In A Great Location! - This hostel was the best I've stayed in. Booked a double room with a shared bathroom, and when I got there they actually gave me and my frind a triple room with 2 bedrooms just for the two of us. The shared bathroom was incredibly clean, and so was the room. The beds were made before we got there and we were supplied with towels and soap/shampoo. Our room had a beautiful view form the balcony. All of the staff speaks perfect English and were very friendly and willing to help. The location is prime as well, only a short walk from the city center, and seconds away from various places to eat. The courtyard is also beautiful, and when you walk out of the back of the hostel you really feel like you are in Barcelona! Will definitely stay here again.
• John (8/5): Cheap & Central - The Agua Alegre is situated in a pleasant part of the Eixample area very close to the centre of the city and all the main attractions, as well as a metro station. It is quite basic but perfectly adequate for a short stay, with a nice terrace/garden at the back. It doesn't serve breakfast (there is a coffee machine) but lots of nearby cafes for a coffee and croissant. Our room had a ceiling fan which was fine in April but the lack of air conditioning would probably be a problem in summer. It is excellent value for money for somewhere so well located.
• Jayantha (4/5): Not good for that price - Not really impressed as the photos. Too expensive for that area and much cheaper hotels can be found around that area. NO SOAP BARS in this hotel only shampoo! For that price they should give breakfast. Need good maintenance of the rooms and big clean up to get rid of the moldy smell.
• chris (8/5): this place is haunted - I swear my partner and I were laying in complete silence. wide awake. without ringing or vibrating or even sliding off the table in our bedroom my phone was 'thrown' to the floor by our feet. no one called it, it had no vibration alarm. I got up and put it back and laid down but my partner and I were terrified at first. so much so that we decided to leave in the early dawn hours until sunlight to let whatever 'energy' was there settle. after walking the streets of barcelona and as the sun began to rise we realized that this was a very unique and important experience not to be feared but to be appreciated. whatever occupied that hotel room with us was not malicious and we felt fear only because it was an unknown presence. we experienced something that night that was beyond human understanding. i'm grateful for it and i feel like ive been allowed to see a little more than many do their whole lives.
