Guest Reviews
- Rachael (6/5): - Good location
- jackie (8/5): - Proximity to Taj Mahal is great and has a view. Need to be warned that lift inoperable in early morning . Staff tries to be helpful
- Rachel (6/5): - The view from the rooftop deck is fantastic. You can see the Taj Mahal and actually the halls, including the art in the halls, and the marble floors are quite lovely but when you open the door into the rooms, it’s another story. Everything‘s ran down and dirty. the rooms need a refresh and good scrub the bathroom well I just decided not to even take a shower that should say it all.
- Vishnu (10/5): - How excellent it is to have your hotel 5mins walk from one of the 7 wonders of the world! It is near to Taj Mahal and the hotel is of good quality! Could improve on hot water for showering though.
- Samantha (10/5): Close to Taj mahal - Staff was very friendly. Need to fix hot water situation .
- Keon (10/5): Got exactly what I paid for. So im happy! - I GOT EXACTLY WHAT I PAID FOR WHEN I BOOKED IT! Because if that I am happy. I knew when booking for that price it wasn’t going to be the best condition. The hotel itself is fine. The rooms are poor but functional and the bathroom was very poor but functional. But I am on a budget traveling. The location was incredible. The staff were great, I felt safe there and felt my stuff was safe when I was away AND I actually got a great sleep so I’m happy. Had dinner there twice. Dinner food was actually really really really good, breakfast was terrible to be honest but I guess 2 of 3 isn’t bad. Owner was always there and very nice. If you are a budget traveller I would recommend this. If you want fancy go try a fairmont. You get what you pay for!!!! (I worry that in summer months it may be a little hot in the rooms)
- Artur (4/5): - It was bad.
Cold, no heater, no hot water
- Dawn (8/5): Excellent customer service & great location - On the positive side the manager could not have been more helpful. The view from the roof is spectacular. The Wi-Fi is strong. The rooms are dirty, in need of decoration and the breakfast is just toast and jam. But for the price the location is fabulous. There is no pool as it claims
- SANTOSH (8/5): - Good place
- Jared (10/5): - Highly recommended
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Near to golden temple .staff is good .hotel is clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Fantastic location with Taj Mahal view from the bed and bathroom. Very helpful manager. Lovely food. Great rooftop restaurant. Good location to get around. Walked to sunrise at Taj Mahal in 10 minutes. Quiet and peaceful. The negatives were the electrics were poor, they were over enthusiastic in transferring us to a suite and broke a bottle, they were frequently knocking on the door to ask us to eat there. The suite is poorly protected from mosquitos and does not cool down enough.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothing iam not a happy bad whater in bathroom...
- TB (8/5): - Staff were nice and very serviable. Only Downside and this is VERY important is that the sheets were not clean, stained spots amd hairs and ripped :(
- Sarah (8/5): Nice Stay - The staff were very friendly and cooperative with our group which arrived on the train early in the morning. They provided space heaters, which helped us combat the cold nights.
- Sarah (6/5): Not so great - The proximity to the Taj Mahal is the main feature of the Hotel Taj Plaza. Other than that, it is merely functional. If you want a comfortable stay with a charming atmosphere, stay elsewhere. If you don't have other options, this may suffice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Close proximity to the Taj Mahal a big plus, rooms could do with more bankets in winters
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hotel, it was very close to the Taj Mahal- an easy walk. We got a room with a view of the Taj Mahal and it was spectacular. Hotel staff was very friendly and courteous, the breakfast was good. I highly recommend this hotel.
- Alex (2/5): I've stayed in better hostels - From the off this was a poor experience, one check in we were told we had to pay for the room (despite already paying) after showing the booking confirmation and credit card statement this was going to be refereed to the manager (when we checked out no apology was made or statement to say we had paid) I suspect this a scam to get double payment. The room was acceptable with good aircon and fantastic room, the bathroom however was unusable, the bath / shower was cracked dirty and full of flies with 2 threadbare towels, neither of us wanted to use the bathroom.
The included breakfast and diner consisted of a choice from the menu or credit of about 150 Rs (you're better off paying room only and then probably eating elsewhere). The food on site was actually ok but overpriced.
Location is the only redeeming feature as it's about a 10 minute walk to the Taj east gate
Overall this hotel is no better than a cheap backpacking hostel with a good view, well overpriced for India
- mad (10/5): good hotel, night view of taj mahal - i was to late to check in. the desk manager was fine to let me check in. the guest service was also helpful, helping brought luggage to the room. during night, after 8 pm it was dark, however, there is still seen silhouette of the great taj mahal from the aisle of the hotel. the hotel is great, only the Agra area has no connection to the Uber, so mostly have to use Tuk Tuk service to move around.
- Dan (10/5): 2 king beds and view of Taj - Very good deal !! Second closest hotel to Taj East Gate with a view, 5-10 stroll to gate - 2 king beds - roof top restaurant! staff was super friendly!
- SJS (6/5): Great location and excellent food - Our room was on the 3rd floor but their elevator was not working .... apparently it has been not working for a long time. My sister can’t climb stairs. My room that I paid for was gorgeous with a great view. However the replacement view was crap. They made up by comping our food and drink while we stayed. They hotel and resto staff were not professional (in industry terms) but very nice and polite. The location was great. The food was spectacular. Especially the chicken curry and hyderabadi biryani. I would definitely recommend the food. There were bugs in the washroom but that did not bother me so much as I have seen worst in Europe. Also what do you expect at a 2-star near the desert in Agra.
- SANDIP (6/5): - Stay was good, however there was a problem with cable connection. Inspite of lot of trying the problem could not be fixed.
The resturant wanted the payments to be cleared immediately after every food we take & they were not interested to club the same with Hotel bills. The issue was bought to the notice of management who assured to look into the same.
- Dom (8/5): Good hotel next to the Taj East gate ticket office - When I arrived, the receptionist's English was excellent and very helpful when answering in questions about breakfast and late checkout. The room was pretty good with a big bathroom and a big bed to spread out on. The sheets were clean but a little stained - but the price is excellent and we're in India so it goes with the territory.
They offer a locker service if you want to visit the Taj after check out at 12:00 which is handy (however I did not use the lockers and would recommend getting to the Taj for 7:30 to avoid the queues at 6:30 and after 9:00)
Breakfast was ok: some toast with an onion and capsicum omelette plus coffee for around 200 rupees.
The wifi was good on all floors, including my room, for checking the news, emails etc. just don't try downloading anything because it's takes ages.
The view from the roof was great as an added bonus where you can sip on a cold drink and look at the beautiful Taj.
However, when I checked out there was a different receptionist who's English was decent but tried to rip me off for a cab ride to the Agra Fort which was less good.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - was one of the worst hotel experiences that i have had . and i have spent a lot of time in hotels everywhere .
- joe (2/5): avoid at all costs - we were not happy about our room as it looked dirty, eventually settled on the third room they showed us.had trouble sleeping as no top sheet on bed just some kind of blanket thing, curtains didn't shut properly,no hot water,tv not working, and generally looked shabby.we had payed for breakfast but wish we hadn't of bothered ,it consisted of some toast and juice and was cheaper to pay for seperatley.the worst thing was my wife woke in the morning covered in bites and had to seek medical treatment.staff was not interested in any complaints.paid for 2 nights but left after 1 night.only only plus for this hotel is stunning views of taj mahal from rooftop terrace
- Verified traveler (8/5): Affordable hotel close to Taj east end gate. - Hotel is okay for the price. Old, rusty and leaky bathroom fittings. No elevator.
- Kathy (8/5): A View of the Taj - Unique style hotel that had central staircase connecting lounges and floors leading to a rooftop terrace. Good service for travel needs.
- Verified traveler (4/5): The blankets were not suitable for a guesthouse. - A lot of insects in the room. However the warm water was great for shower.
- happy man (6/5): average room with good location - The hotel meet my expectation and staff service is generally good for the price you price. But expect some insects will be in your room if you are in top floor.
- Trav (6/5): Good price - This is a decent Hotel at a good price close to the Taj Mahal.
- Amy (6/5): Adequate for a budget traveler - This is a budget hotel in Agra, and for the price, it's a pretty good deal. Within walking distance of the Taj Mahal, great rooftop restaurant with good food and friendly staff. The rooms are definitely dated, on the small side, and could've been cleaned a little better, but it was adequate for a budget traveler.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - As expected the experience was satisfying. The hotel is at good location ;the ambiance is also good. The interior of the hotel can be upgraded
- raj (6/5): Walking to taj Terris view is perfect - Hotel location is perfect from taj but not any good restaurant near by staff is friendly specially waiters
- Debashish (8/5): Excellent Ambiance and worth for money - This was my second visit to this place and it has changed a lot. this hotel is value for money and specially the Roof Top Restaurant makes it more special. You can sit and relax and watch the beauty of Taj from the Roof Top. Perfect place to spend the evening with your dear ones. It is near the Taj Eastern gate and just a walk away to the Taj. the hotel staff is very polite and specially the guard at the main entrance. Best part is that the also have the free driver accommodation. I would again love to go and stay there and would also recommend this to other people.
- Verified traveler (4/5): You get what you paid for. - Restroom stank like sewage. After several request, we were moved to a "suite." However, they expected an additional charge for the suite. Suite however did not have any hot water. It was a struggle to check out.
- Ravi (6/5): Hotel close to the Taj mahal - Stayed here for 2 nights. Rooms are spacious. Hotel is old and needs renovation.
Staff are good and room service prompt. Overall a pleasant stay.
- RAJIB (8/5): Agra trip - hired a taxi from hotel for sightseeing. Taxi & driver was good, but the guide experience at Fatehpur-sikri was bad. Advise to take guide at gate of sikri.
- Dipak (8/5): Location perfect for visiting Taj Mahal - Stayed for one night. Very close to Taj Mahal so one can walk to there. The Taj Mahal can be seen from the roof-top restaurant. The food was not that good though. Foreigners can also walk a much shorter distance to a ticket counter to buy the ticket to Taj Mahal and also get (1) a bottle of mineral water, (2) a pair of covers for shoes to walk on the Taj Mahal floor, and (3) a free ride in a vehicle to the Taj Mahal and bback to the ticket counter place.
Had to ask for a bed sheet under the blanket, which is not washed daily.
- Avnish (10/5): Fantabulous and Excellent Hotel to stay in Agra - I was there with my family on leisure trip to Agra. This is not only my feedback but my family also joins me in saying that this was one of the best hotels at this price we have stayed so far on our trips. Hotel's ambiance was nice and cleanliness was maintained to its best. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. Taj Mahal's view from the terrace was awesome. The hotel was well connected with Agra Cantt Railway station. Transport was easily available to commute to Taj Mahal or any other place. Worthwhile to stay in this budget hotel.
- Kevin (6/5): Not bad - Stayed here for 2 nights. Location is great as it's a 5 minute walk down one road to the Taj itself and there are places to eat within easy walking distance. We had some food and drink in the hotel and it was fine. Staff always seemed fairly welcoming and friendly. Main downside was that the rooms were a bit dirty and really needed a good clean. The window was so dirty you could hardly see out of it. We paid a little extra for a Taj view from our room which I would not recommend. It is not worth the money as the views are not good, and good views of the Taj are easy to come by in the area for free, including on the hotels communal balcony which offers a great view. Overall, this was ok for a short stay but the rooms need a proper clean and for a few extra quid there are a couple of hotels directly across from here that offer swimming pools and breakfast and much cleaner rooms. (we moved over to one after 2 days)
- Biman Das (10/5): Exceeded Expectations - The hotel is in close proximity to the Taj Mahal. Infact one can enjoy the view of Taj from the 'Taj view Rooms' (on the 3rd floor) and the open roof top restaurant. Considering the price point, it offers decent service and food at restaurant. Ideal for a 2 or 3 days stay. Dont expect a 5 star treatment, but provides you the best value for money.
- NIHAR MOHANTY (4/5): Disappointing Experience ! - It was very disgusting n disappointing as the hotel did not get the message that we r reaching on that day. After half an hour wait in the lobby n the hotel could manage to give me only ONE room for six of us to stay. The room was very small to accomodate all of us in one room. Matress was spread for three of us to sleep on the floor. We reached at around 10 in the night after a long drive from Delhi n were very disheartened to get accomodated in this room. Though we had payed the entire money in advance it was a real pathetic experience n i honestly urge to just stop fooling people like this. My recommendation to hotels.com will be to improve the service with immediate effect n remove such hotels from the list who do not get information of the expected guests.
- Kshitij (6/5): Pleasant stay at Taj Plaza -Agra - We had brief stay at the Taj Plaza. The experience was good. From the reception to the room service, everything was as stated. The staff was quite helpful and courteous. Rooms were clean and hygenic. Our interaction with some guests (some overseas visitors) proved that our assessment of the hotel was right.
The only drawback is that there is no elevator in the building. Therefore we had to climb all the floors-which was ok for us, but if you are with your parents and senior members of the family- it may prove a challenge for them to climb the steep stairs-all the way to the fourth floor, where they have their restaurant as well.
Overall, great place for an economical tariff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice Hotel close to the Taj. - It was a good experience to stay at Hotel Taj Plaza. It is very near to the Taj...but a bit far from other attractions of the City.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not good Hotel - No cold drink water in hotel room and room air condition services is very very poor. A.C. room just like slightly cooler room. Very bad experience.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Tajmahal view hotel - Its located near by Tajmahal that is the only good thing i can say.
area of improvement:
1. Room / Toilet cleanness
2. AC not working in any room (plz service all ac's)
3. Pick up/ Drop to station cab charged 500 Rs. I feel its bit expensive.
- Verified traveler (8/5): nice hotel close to taj mahal - fairly comfortable, restaurant serves tasty food. staff was helpful.
- SHAILESH (8/5): Nice Hotel - We appreciated & satisfied with the all services provided by us through staff.
- Matias (8/5): Very close to Taj Mahal - We spent only one night at Taj Plaza Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They waited for us until almost 4am for check in as our train was 10 hours late!
The beds are comfortable and internet works intermitently and not very fast.
The food at the hotel's restaurante is amazing.
It is really ten minutes walk to the Taj Mahal.
- shashank (6/5): decent place...but not worth a long stay!! - The hotel is located very close to tajmahal and other local tourist destination...The room was good...big enough...and Clean...the staff was polite...the food In The restaurant Was decent..however our intercom was not working...they Took It but did not bring It back....said it Is not possible to replace It till morning...the water in the bathroom was also like seawater...can't even put It in the mouth...the tv was not working...overall the hotel is decent but would not recommend it for a long visit.
- Verified traveler (4/5): A scary place to stay....do not go there! - This is not a place where you can take your family! fortunately I was travelling on my own. I advice anyone who is
thinking to stay in this hotel to add an extra 500/1000 rps (£5/10) and go somewhere else. Members of staff do they
best unfortunately the management has not invest enough to run this hotel properly. I stay in many budget hotels in
India and in my opinion to have a basic, but clean room you should not go below the 1000 rps (£10) per night. In this particularly hotel woke up in the middle of the night to find to my horror that my body and the bed were full of insects, after complaining I was given a better room.
- dr mohd. iqbal (4/5): comfy beds - very nice
- T (8/5): Good - Helpful staff. Great view of the Taj Mahal from the terrace. Clean rooms. Good AC.
- Monsieur Blah Blah Blah (6/5): Would you call it cheap midrange or high-end budget? - It's worth visiting Agra on more than a day trip from Delhi (Agra Fort is superior to Red Fort, and Fetehpur Sikri feels like a movie set!), so you need a place to stay. There are few midrange hotels, and Taj Plaza was a solid entry for comfy high-end budget digs -- good value, good location, relaxing roof top deck with ice cold Kingfishers. The rooms could be bigger if we cared to hang out in them, but we chilled on the roof most of the time. Worth it.
- Pooja (4/5): Cheap hotel at a good location - This hotel is located 10 mins from east gate of Taj Mahal. An area where no cars are allowed, only battery operated mini vans. But its only about 10 mins so we walked both ways.
Apart from the location, there is nothing to write home about. They have maintained the Hotel exterior and corridors very well. But the rooms are horrible. Peeling paint, windows that don't shut completely, ac, fan, TV not working, hot water is a joke! We waited half an hr for the hot water they promised but it was lukewarm at best and this was in winter.
I had booked 3 rooms and we were given the too floor. No elevators, and the steps are very high.
Even for the price we paid, I think we could've done better.
- Verified traveler (2/5): horrible - worst rooms highly untidy !will never suggest anyone to stay
- Netrapal (8/5): Good hotel - It was good time, i was spent in the hotel. The staff was very good n hotel lobby n reception was very beautifull as compare to rooms.
- David (6/5): A definite backpacker hotel - First impressions poor in that we were met by several staff dressed no differently than people on the street. Also place seemed run down and there were bottles and food not cleared from the corridors and we had to make our own bed. However, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Experienced a couple of issues with heating and power supply but in each instant they were very quick to respond and resolve. Breakfast basic but ok and priced accordingly. Rooms basic but of good size and clean.
- Ranjister (6/5): Terrible hotel; superb location - Rooms were congested and stinky. Bathrooms were bad with stinky water. room was equipped with a heater which when turned on gives comfortable warmth on cold days. Our room overlooked their trash.Restaurant is all-right but very pricey. Staff looked unenthusiastic towards Indian customers. Stay only if you want to stay close to Taj cheaply.
- R and D. (6/5): Perfect location and very cheap - The hotel is in between the Taj ticket office and the entrance to the Taj, so it is very convenient. Two of the rooms have an amazing view of the Taj from the bed - however these are on the third floor and they do not have an elevator, so it is not good for the frail.
The downside was the service and cleanliness.
- Verified traveler (6/5): good one - all things are ok but this hotel should have two telephone line as pick up also add on hotel facility and we try to contact to hotel Person but line was busy and we try so many time but we can't contact them.
so please also add your mobile contact number with your contact address.
- Ankur (8/5): Nice place to stay and relax - The hotel is a mid range one. The locality of the hotel do the justice with the price being charged. The view of TAJ from the roof-top restaurant is awesome. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Hotel staff was very good and welcoming.
Certainly the hotel stands as a strong contender while looking for good hotels within 1 KM range of TAJ MAHAL where all the hotels are 3 star 4 star or 5 star.
- Surendra (8/5): Nice hotel close to Taj - Stay was good food was average
- Verified traveler (4/5): - very basic hotel but is in a great location.
- RKJ (2/5): Horrible Service - no water, no towel, no intercom - After check-in, the services and attitude of Hotel staff was horrible. They were not even willing to allow us to speak to Hotel Manager. There were no towels and no drinking water in room before check-in. The intercom was not working. The attitude of staff was not at all co-operative.
- mari (2/5): this was not a positive experience - The room was not up to any reasonable standard, the food was poor, it is noisy. Bathroom was very dubious, and I would not reccommend this hotel. The one positive is the view of the Taj Mahal from the top floor balcony, and the proximity to the Taj.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location, nice hotel but no WIFI - The hotel is really nice for the amount you pay compared to other hotels in India of the same price. Staff are really nice. Unbeatable location with a great view of the Taj Mahal from the roof. The hotel is in the middle of the Taj Mahal ticket office and the Taj Mahal itself. There are quite a lot of rickshaw drivers that will jump on you as soon as you leave the hotel but that is to be expected in Agra. The beer on the rooftop was expensive but they had no issues with us buying beer from the shop & drinking it up there which was a massive plus for us backpackers. I didn't eat any food there as i heard mixed reviews but there is a brilliant restaurant about 6km away called Pinch of Spice. A taxi driver will take you, wait for you & take you back for 300 rupees (£3). The only bad thing is i asked to pay the surcharge for wifi but it was broken on our floor with no plans to fix it - I really need wifi for onward travel arrangements and if i had known there was none available in the rooms I probably would have stayed elsewhere as it was a pain having to go to the roof every time i needed to check something
- Teresa Valdivia (6/5): Good Value for your money. - Great walking distance to the Taj Mahal. Room was comfortable, clean & hotel staff were very nice. Great view of the Taj Mahal from our hotel. Great value for your money.
I would recommend this hotel.
- Vincent G (8/5): Good one - As always, good enough!
- Suman (8/5): - Stay was comfortable and we enjoyed it very much. The staff were really helpful. But the place really needs an elevator. Our room was on the 3rd floor and my mother who is 66 had to climb all those stairs again and again. Apart from that a wonderful experience.
- Ash (6/5): Hotel with view of the taj - The hotel did have a taj view, but was in very poor condition. Stained sheets, filthy bathrooms. Room service was delightful and the staff was very friendly and hospitable...the food is also quite good here...they really need to do renovations on the rooms.
- Verified traveler (4/5): It was ok not more - You have to pay for the wifi and it is only in the living room downstairs. Also our toilet didnt flush and the towel were not clean. No blanket ,only one thick "blanket" that looked unclean.
- Prado (10/5): Nice! - The hotel was in a great location, the staff was kind and attentive, and the building itself was in great shape! Also, my train did not leave Agra till 8, but they cut me a great deAl in order to stay in the room
- Nirmal (8/5): Very Right, good view from the roof - The hotel was neet and clean, stay was comfortable and staff was cooperative.
- Kamuju (6/5): Not up to the mark - Tariff wise is ok but the problem is Room Service and not up to the mark
- ian (8/5): very good value for money, in the 'basic' category - basic budget hotel in easy walking distqance of the taj mahal (i've stayed here on two occasions)
excellent food from their restaurant, which can be served on the outdoor covered terrace overlooking the taj mahal
very good value for money, in the 'basic' category
- knotty (8/5): great stay at the taj - awsome location great restaurant all around good time easy easy
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location - Very close to east gate of Taj Mahal. Nice rooftop patio/restaurant with view. Good value
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Lodging is very comfortable but food rate is very high
- Erin (4/5): Just ok and they don't serve beer! - We got a Taj view room, and the view was fine but the room was dirty
Towels were grey, sheets had some stains on them. Food at the upstairs resturant wasn't good and the hotel doesn't serve beer! Had to ask the front desk twice for clean towels. Easy walk to the East gate, that was good. Next door to the Oberoi hotel, so went there for drinks son the patio and a reasonably price dinner in their resturant.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok experience. - Room located on 4th floor without elevator and problem w/ water in one of room.
- traveller (2/5): Very bad room - Taj Plaza is a highly avoidable hotel. The room was stinking and the smell from the toilet came to the room. The toilet is very very very small. Water from the taps had taste of salt and mud. We used our own mineral water for bath, teeth brushing. Food is even worser. Rice was not cooked, spoilt panner was offered. On all fronts a disastrous hotel and should by avoided at all costs.
- MRS. D. D. (6/5): CLOSE TO TAJ MAHAL, WALKING DISTANCE IS GOOD.... - NOT CLEAN AS I EXPECTED......GOOD SERVICES...CONVENIENT LOCATION AND REATAURANT IS OK......
- mahesh rao (2/5): close to taj mahal - we had a bad stay so i will not suggest anybody to stay i mean family
- Lia (6/5): Good location - The hotel is perfectly located for a night stay before going to the Taj Mahal; it is a few minutes walk from the East entrance. The rooms were okay, preytty big. No hot water unfortunately on the day we stayed there; and really loud during evening and night. Bed sheets not really clean but for the price it was ok.
- Terry (8/5): Fantastic views of Taj Mahal - We enjoyed our stay at the Taj Plaza. The staff were very helpful and the location is great for going to the Taj Mahal with excellent roof top views. The room was basic and clean but no netting on the windows to keep out the mosquitos. Ayurvedic massage is on offer in the hotel. Myself and my sister availed of this and had a fantastic massage at a very reasonable rate - massage highly recommended.
- Cokasi (8/5): Close to Taj - Location was great. It's by the east gate and ticket office is a simple walk. Cabs know where it is, prob less than 20 minute cab ride from Agra Cant.
Staff were friendly and accommodating. We asked forint exchange (they did it). Wifi worked in room which is rate in India, at least at places we stayed. There is a computer on site as well. Food was fine. We asked where to get henna, they called someone. All the staff we encountered were nice.
We stayed on 3rd floor. The room was nice sized and the cleanest we saw in India. We also spent time in a ground floor room- it was smaller and had no view.
The roof top was nice. There was AC and a fan. Bathroom was clean-all in all a great stay.
- Tara (8/5): Great value- Would recommend - I was worried with the cheap price and some bad reviews but I found this place to be just what I wanted. My room was clean, not one bug or mosquito spotted. A great view of the Taj Mahal on the rooftop restaurant, only 1km walking and two minutes from the ticket booth. Food was decent, beers were cold. Plus you can check out and store your bags while you cruise around. Worth trying!
- Verified traveler (8/5): full satisfication - full worth of money and very surprising on having got so much good stay in so much cheap prices.
- D (8/5): Views of Taj Mahal - We asked for a room with a view of the Taj Mahal and that is exactly what we got, amazing to feel so close to such a fantastic sight. Hotel was clean and well serviced, staff were pleasant and helpful - cant fault it at all.
- Tarek (8/5): Good Location Hotel - This is a basic clean hotel, walking distance to Taj Mahal.. The area & agra in general is boring other n Taj Mahal..
- Anil (6/5): Value for money - It was good short and sweet experience, very close to Tajmahal and could be called as value for money.
- Meg (6/5): Nice - Nice place. Staff was friendly. Food wasn't that good in lobby restaurant. Rooms were acceptable for the cheap price, but nothing fancy. We'd stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good hotel to stay on the doorsteps of Taj Mahal - The stay was very comfortable and the quality of service and food very good. The hotel is situated just 5 minutes walk from the ticket counter and the Taj on the Eastern Gate and well connected to the nearest shopping mall. Agra Fort and other markets are around 15 minutes drive from here. A good and reasonable hotel to stay.
- IndianTeach (10/5): Excellent Service & Location - People at the hotel were great, always helpful. Stayed in India 10 months and was not used to this level of service. Location right down the street from Taj, can't get any closer. Would recommend it to anyone going to Agra for the Taj.
- edu (8/5): I recomend it - Very close to Taj Mahal east gate. 5 minutes walk.
Good and afordable meals avaliable all day long.
I only wish medium level hotels like this would heve more western style bathrooms and showers... as you shower, the whole bathroom gets wet.
Pick up at train station was on time.
I do recomend this hotel.
- paul (8/5): Good hotel with easy walk to Taj - Good place to stay in easy walking distance to Taj, Helpful staff.
- Carmen (8/5): Great view, good value - Loved the view of the Taj Mahal from the rooftop restaurant. Our room was clean and comfortable although hot water for showers was spotty. Food was delicious and service was generally good, but a bit slow. Overall, great value for a hotel so close to the Taj.
- sunit (8/5): good - good hotel ,with good service
