Guest Reviews
- lyndy23 (8/5): Good local Malaysian hotel in Chow Kit. - Good, local, Malaysian 3 star hotel in Chow Kit, a central location in KL. Nika on reception desk was friendly and efficient. She allocated my room as requested in my booking info. Housekeeping lady was very good too. Lots of good food closeby. RSMY being my favourite for tandoor chicken.
Netflix in my room was not functioning and was a bit frustrating. I had issues with WiFi not functioning too. WiFi was unreliable and intermittent during my 3 day stay. Staff tried to fix Netflix and WiFi problem but it was recurring. The toilet leaks water and other guests can be noisy, banging doors and talking loudly in hallways, with room doors open, but overall the hotel provides a decent place to rest. The bed in room 718 could do with a new mattress. Full of lumps and bumps and springs that stick in your back. Air con was cold and good stream of hot water in shower. We will return as hotel is ok value for KL.
- lyndy23 (8/5): Very good location, solid 3 star hotel! - Solid 3 star hotel with very hospitable staff, comfy beds and clean rooms in a great location. We requested high floor and level 9 rear room suited us. Good views, hot and cold drinking water on every floor in hallway. Close to our fave cafe RSMY for best tandoor and cheese naan. Check in was very busy with only one staff member on duty. He handled the stress very well, with 5 groups all waiting at reception. We liked this hotel very much. Price is higher for amenities provided but location is first rate. We usually stay at Hilton Garden Inn but glad we tried Prescott and will return to Prescott hotel Medan Tuanku again.
- Hin Choong (8/5): - The hotel is very close to public transport like monorail, good to access to almost all parts of KL.
Hotel staffs are efficient. Hotel quite clean, cleanliness is there. Conveniet and quiet to shopping centres within walkable distance.
The only comment, many areas of the wooden built on wall as shelves /table need maintain, sealand wear off. Wooden can fall off anytime. Besides that all good.
Thank you for providing service.
- DaFeena (4/5): Unexpected this much disappointment. Booked for 4 nights. Did not really expect that the three stars rating hotel so bad - Improper vacuumed carpet including lobby, tv channels so horrible, scribbled wall, staff not very welcoming. It’s not about star rating, but as hospitality service provider, management should look into the condition and cleanliness of the hotel entirely. Do not just make it look so amazing in the picture but totally different in real. Hotel is the place for travellers or guess to take good rest, relax and chill before they continue their journey. Why don’t just take a little time to look into this matter? Train all staffs in every department and make sure the promises that stated in website or booking web are truly fulfilled.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Cheap but facilities is old. Not well keep Long distance to walk to city Center. But last minute booking is available
- OOISIANGLUN (10/5): Nice hotel with beautiful view - The staff at the hotel is friendly. The keep their smile on their face when serve the customer. There are also a corner which provide breakfast buffet for who stay at the hotel. The hotel is provided free internet wifi for the customer
- raymond (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Any issues immediately satisfactory resolved. Very helpful staff. Good housekeeping and very convenient and quiet location. Monorail one block around the corner.
- 290rissr (10/5): It meets my expectation of a 3-star hotel. - The official description is the hotel has close proximity to the city's major commercial and business district, the hotel offers you warm hospitality and comfortable accommodation at an affordable price.
I personally stayed there for two nights because my wife had to attend the ChocoDap's convention in Maju Junction. I would say that by far it is the best hotel with an affordable rate in KL. The room is clean and quite spacious.
Initially, was quite sceptical when Agoda suggested that a room with two single beds was suitable for my wife and I with our two small children. To my surprise, those beds were actually superior single beds. When I combined those beds together, it could fit the four of us comfortably.
I'm not a guy who enjoys ordering room service because based on my past experience, room service normally can cost me an arm and a leg. However, the food served from its restaurant is quite cheap. The range is about RM7-RM20 which is a standard rate for food served in KL area. Apart from that, there's a lot of interesting eateries surrounding the hotel. There's a Beriyani House, a Nasi Kandar restaurant, a pisang goreng stall etc. There are also two convenience store there which are MyNews and 7 Eleven. Pertama Complex, SOGO and the Quill Mall are just a stone’s throw away.
The only let-down is the parking space which too small and narrow. It can only accommodate the maximum number of 14 cars at a time. The worst part is the guests have to double-park their cars. If you’re forced to double-park, you need to leave your car key at front desk.
All in all, the hotel is just sufficed for those who are looking for a place to crash.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location. Room is spacious & clean. Staff are polite & helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Overall it was good but during my previous stay it was very properly vacumm and clean. This time, i found bit of cashew nut and tissue paper beside the bed and the carpet was not properly vacumm. Just take proper note and action. TQ
- Enam (8/5): - I stayed 6 times in this hotel. good location and clean. this time i found bit problem. they allocate me room number 918 but intercom connections was available there. and no remote control for AC. ac was loud. as a loyal customer i deserve more better service.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - location and staff. Minor missings in replacings things.
- saygdaydave (10/5): Great value and location - This hotel offers great value and location for all travellers. A comfortable, clean room with free wifi and other amenities. Restaurants, shopping centres nearby and only 3 monorail stops to the centre
- bharat218 (6/5): Good hotel - It is an average hotel. This is more like a B&B then a hotel. Look for what you really want. If you are after just to get your head down then it’s a good place, however don’t expect a 3 or 4 star facilities as there are none.
- Norsalwa (6/5): - The registration took a longer time than expected because they couldn't find the booking. Perhaps next time you can provide us with the booking number. Thanks.
- Karen-Happuch (6/5): Good Location - Currently in the midst of staying in the hotel for a stretch of 3 nights. Booked via Agoda. Comparing with other 3- star hotels -> this hotel is better in terms of their large room, relatively clean, ample & varied lighting in the room, and good bathroom - shower pressure is good even at the highest floor of the hotel & the central water heater is good . Staff service is reasonable/ average. Free breakfast is below average in comparison with other 3- star hotels of similar pricing. No problems with the air cond. Main strength of this hotel is its advantageous location and large well-furnished clean rooms & reasonable pricing. Main weakness is its comparatively below average free breakfast.
- raymond (10/5): Spotless Room with a viev - Spotless, courteous staff and convenient location
- Auliaaa77 (10/5): Amaaaazinnnng ! - It’s my second time staying in this hotel again. I was so amazed bc the room much bigger and they gave very good view. Very clean and room smells good. The food are too yummy and delicious too. With low price, you’ve got everything here. Will visit and stay here again.
- andrysose (8/5): Very Convenience Hotel - The hotel located near to the LRT Station, foods stall/restaurant, convenient store. I can say the location is perfect. Cozy, spacious and clean bedroom with completed amenities attached, good for travelers with kids or elderly. Do not have to be worried if you need food for breakfast, dinner or supper because it's available within the walking distance. Very recommended, affordable and reasonable price. We are happy to stay and it will become one of our favorite Hotel in KL.
- Norbaiti (10/5): Comfort And Strategic Location - It was good stay.overall the hotel is nice , location is good . Comfort and for sure i will come again. Normally i stay in Prescott Kajang , but this time since i have work in KL , so i chose Prescott Medan Tuanku.
- Leong Hock (8/5): - Near the venue of the event i was attending, amzaing room service prices which is highly recommended
- clubpurser84 (10/5): Best Trip Ever - For this visit im really happy after write many comment at last i can see the changes especially front desk staff coz im front office staff also.Upon check in the manager in charge told that my room was upgraded to Deluxe room with king bed.Wow after many times check in here finally they give free upgraded to their regular customer. Many thank to reception staff especially Ms. Nancy(FOM), Zhamil, and reception team- really sorry forget your guys name coz full my expectation toward your service to customer.I know very hard to fulfill each customer but its our duty as customer service. For sure will come back again to Prescott Medan Tuanku.
- remicharlene (10/5): Will surely come back! - Prescott Hotel in Medan Tuanku is very conveniently located near the MRT. It is also in short walking distance to malls, to restaurants and local eateries, as well as to tourist attractions. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious, and staff are nice. Breakfast could do some tweaking, but all in all, this is a hotel I could come back to in my next trip to KL.
- catrional576 (10/5): Good hotel and location - Good sized clean room with fridge, tea and coffee maker, and big comfortable bed. Sogo is a four minute walk away. There are a couple of bars and restaurants within walking distance and many more if you take a cheap grab taxi to Jalan P. Ramlee or Bukit Bintang (only 10 mins).
- P (8/5): - OK hotel, decent location, standard wifi, so so cable TV, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, noisy and dusty AC, affordable price. Fast check in and check out.
- Mark (8/5): NICE HOTEL - Nice hotel, not too far from metro and monorail stations, making access to other parts of KL easy.
Room was good and spacious with very good A/C. The shower was great, really good pressure and didn't take too long to heat up.
Restaurant was okay. I breakfasted there a few times and was a little disappointed to be honest. It was never explained what was included in the RM20 cost and what wasn't. And there wasn't that much variety from day-to-day. I only had breakfast in there so couldn't say about other times.
My main complaint was that there was a funny smell in the corridor and in the room. It smelt like stale cigarette smoke. One day it had gone from the corridor but returned the next day. In the room, it wasn't too overpowering though and didn't affect my time there.
- NORAIDA SALMIZA (6/5): - Aircond tidak sejuk..call maintanan sampai balik tak datang servis aircobd
- Verified traveler (8/5): - nice to stay..clean room
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean, reasonable rate & nearby the shopping complex. Situated in the centre of the city.
- Mohd Khir Zaki (2/5): Don’t go to this hotel - Definitely not good. I have stayed in this hotel for 6 days. Since the first day I checked in to this hotel (12th April 2019, 8pm) I never had a welcome greeting be it orally or behaviorally . I had to pick my luggage by myself from the taxi to the lobby and from lobby to my room. Reasons to be was she (the receptionist) was the only hotel staff working. From that first day it continues until the end of my stay in that hotel or shall I call it shelter. Because to me it doesnt deserve to be a three star or even single star hotel.
The last day was even the worst experience that I ever encounter when I had to take luggage trolly from the lobby to my room by meyself. And take my luggage down to the lobby by myself where during that time my luggage was 4 bags and 6 boxes.
Lastly, it was the worst experienced that I ever had staying in a hotel. Hospitality was none, no smiles, most of the hotel staff was not helpful which includes the cleaner.
- TAN (8/5): Comfortable & Clean - Comfortable, clean hotel, just same breakfast everyday, a little boring.
- christopherysl (4/5): Limited parking. - It's limited parking; maybe the location might be easy to find, but we still need places to park our vehicles. In the advertisement, it has been claimed that the hotel got free parking. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
- rohithamare (10/5): Great location - we stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and had a large deluxe room. The location of the hotel is ideal, a two minute walk to Medan Tuanku monorail station which will take you pretty much anywhere in town.
The breakfast menu is ok , but dining room restaurant area is not big and people need to wait others finish their breakfast
before get a seat.
The lobby area is attractive, and the front office staff were friendly.
If I were going back to KL, I would certainly go here again, as it was great value for money in a city where it can be hard to find good
hotels at this price.
Value for Money , high quality service
- ridzuan9039 (10/5): Great Value for your Money - I stayed here on last weekend with a family of 2 children. My first impression when I walk in to the room I was really a surprise. The room I believe was newly renovated and very spacious. I book for a superior room which come with a 2 super twin. Basically it was just nicely fit for all of us ( my wife and two kids ) . Parking might be a bit problem since the Hotel Parking are very limited to their guests. You might option to park at the public parking outside but ensure that you place a parking ticket from the Ticket booth. Coming back from Hospital make us very tired and choose to dine in for a room service. The list of the room service menu are variety and much cheaper if you were to compare eating in Secret Recipe or other outside restaurant. We had a Cantonese Mee Hon, Mee Bandung Muar and Chicken Butter with a Rice. Kuddos to the chef, the food are really nice and tasty. When I said tasty, I really mean it. Only take about 30 minutes for the food to be delivered. We decided to stay for anothe 1 more night. Shopping Mall such as Sogo, Pertama Complex and Campbell are just about 5 minutes walking distance. We don't got a chance to try their breakfast since we book only for a room and woke up late for that two days. There is also a Vending Machine at lobby should you need to buy any snack or drinks at the.middle of the night with a reasonable price. Overall, I really had enjoyed stay here and highly recommends to others stay here. I would rather pay the parking fines and stay here with all the value I got. Special thanks to the FO staff Winni who are always ready to assited me with a great smile. I will be back again and can hardly tried the rest of their other foods dining.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Towels were old and look dirty breakfast was a very ordinary location was tucked away staff friendly enough
- Verified traveler (4/5): - With the exception of one or two "trainees", most "experienced staff" are not very helpful and blunt in their replies.
- Roslan (8/5): - Location very ideal for family ..
- gurjot28 (10/5): Great stay with buffet breakfast - I was in KL city for a conference with my family and chosen Prescott for stay for 5 days. This was my first International tour and this hotel doesn't disappoint you.

Review:
Coming to hotel amenities, it offers you free wifi, buffet breakfast (depends upon the type of booking), Easy access to nearby mrt (few steps away), lots of nearby eateries (RSMY Best Cheese Naan is the best), 24 hour room service, complementary tea/coffee and Iron. Room was air-conditioned with room temperature setter. Room was cleaned everyday.
Main KL city attractions are just few steps away (hotel is centrally located in golden triangle)
Extensive a la carte menu of local and International delicacies is served at Tazza Café. Menu of breakfast is changed every day except few things. They usually offers you, Nasi lemak, 3 types cakes, sandwiches, 1 malysian sweet, Tea, coffee, cornflakes, White bread, 4 types of bread toppings, baked beans, noodles, boiled eggs, Juices, french toast, vermicelli and few other things, which I thing is a great breakfast menu. Although, if breakfast is not included in your room rent then you can have it for 20 RM, which is a great deal considering the ample amount of food items.
I had a pleasant stay at Prescott. I will again stay at Prescott on my next visit to KL.
- raymond (10/5): Comfort and best housekeeping - Easy access to the city with several malls in immediate vicinity
- Auliaaa77 (10/5): Unforgettable experience - I really love staying here. The receptionist are too friendly. The room was just too comfortable and clean. I love the breakfast too. Would like to visit again soon and I really recommend this hotel to everyone.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - the cleanliness of the hotel and room left to be desired
- Verified traveler (8/5): - parking issue..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - second holiday for shopping... nice place..0
- nor affendi (8/5): shira from Malaysia - spacious room and great location
- barge8488 (8/5): Pleasant overnight stay - Location is excellent. Room is clean and spacious, with a good view of Quill City Mall and other tall buildings gracing KL skyline. Many eateries nearby, all within walking distance. Would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a decent and pleasant stay within KL city area. Truly good value for your money.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Terbaik dekat dengan bandar dan hotel sangat selesa dan sangat berpuashati
- Verified traveler (8/5): - parking problem..no parking space
- Azril (10/5): - Good servis n safe place
- maleak72 (10/5): Value for money - This is my 4th time staying and 1st time having the breakfast provided. Ample choice of menu with the price that I've paid. Good service from the front desk & good location. The only downside is car parking availability. It situated near bank, few food stalls & shop.
- paul (6/5): - The hotel was standard for the price I paid, however the clearing of the room was not up to a reasonable standard. We found long black hairs between the sheet & the mattress protector (not ours).
The breakfast was of a good standard. The reception staff did not seem very friendly. The Wifi was reasonably quick. The hotel restaurant seemed at dated and old fashioned.
- Alok (8/5): - Location of the hotel is very ideal for walking to places like kl tower, twin towers ,quill mall etc
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Everything was perfectly fine here except the service. The check in was with someone who seemed less than interested in serving us, and handed us the room key without showing us where the elevator was and how to get to our room.
- mohd adnan (8/5): good excellent comfortable stay - Wow fantastic stay for 1 night stay.Single twin bed was large and very comfortable.Got a very good night sleep.Everything was good and satisfying.Food was great (room service) and I will come back to stay here again for sure.Parking need to add more space, others all excellent.
- Mobin Basha (8/5): Nice and pleasant - Friendly front desk, clean and handy to everything.
- Tanya (8/5): Shopping Trip - This was a short shopping/sightseeing trip. The hotel has good access to the Skytrain which we used almost daily. The hotel is good, the room was large and the bed was comfortable, the aircon was a little noisy but overall a pleasant stay.
- Lina (8/5): Perfect Hotel for Family Vacation - Huge bed, affordable lunch, easy access for public transports.
- Shams (6/5): - The only complain that I had was the parking facilities. It is very limited that many cars had to double triple park in the basement. We had to rush out in the morning, but had to wait for the staff to move other cars before our car can go out.
If you are driving, find other car parks, or better, don't drive. Other than that, the experience was good.
- mike (8/5): hote close shopping centre - I’m very happy with my stay, all the staff very friendly, the food was great, very good budget hotel, I would come back again, thank you to all the friendly staff,
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel near to city centre - This hotel is near to many attrative place in the city centre
- Shagen (8/5): Centrally located - Very nice hotel at an affordable price that is centrally located. Public transport, food, shopping is at the door step. The only problem is try and ask for a rear facing room as there is a karaoke outlet outside the hotel that goes on till wee hours of the morning and the front facing rooms are affected most.
- Md Azmi (10/5): - Good hotel
- raymond (10/5): Quiet yet close to all you need - This hotel has become my home while in Kuala Lumpur
- raymond (10/5): Comfort and convenience - Always service oriented staff, from front desk to house keeping
- raymond (10/5): Comfortable stay - One of best housekeeping in Kuala Lumpur hotels. Area provides all one need with multi transportation opportunities
- Eric (10/5): - Pretty good location, just west of KLCC and about a 15-minute taxi/Grab/train ride from some of the hot spots like Petaling Street and Bukit Bintang. The hotel was clean/relaxing, which was a far cry from similarly priced hotels in Bukit Bintang.
Internet was above-average, probably decent enough for most business travelers. Check-in was quick and easy. Make sure to have 50RM for deposit and 10RM per night for the Malaysian foreigner/resort tax (applied to every stay in KL by foreigners). Room was clean, and the bed was nice. Not much going on with the TV as far as channels, but I'm not the "vacation in a hotel" type. I would highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - bilik bersih, selesa dan cantik. cuma parking terhad
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice and Prime Location location - It was my 3rd time stay in this hotel. i like this place and their hospitality.
but this time i found towel is not clean and look black and old. please take care about it
- nurul khairiyah (10/5): Nice stay will come again - NIce stay...big room space....breakfast quite good..will be a good choice to come again
- Abdulkadir (10/5): KL - Good hotel and friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly and Understanding - It was 2.00 a.m when I arrived. I got an interview session on 8.00 a.m and don't know when it will end. If it ends before noon, then I need to have a bath before a long journey back to my hometown. Whereas if it ends after 12.00 I really need the staff to help me to check out. The staff understand my situation and was really kind to help. Kudos.
- Fia (10/5): Nice hotel - Nice experience throughout the stay. The room is clean and tidy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great staycation - It was really value for money. Although the variety was limited, Breakfast was delicious especially the fried rice. Bed was firm and comfortable; we had 4 pillows for 2 pax. Water was hot and the pressure was good. Toiletries except toothbrush are provided. We can request for complimentary late check-out at 1pm. The surrounding areas have good eating places, sogo, near the monorail station. Overall it was a very pleasant stay!
- Rob (8/5): Consisently good - Well located in a quiet street, close to the monorail , major shopping centres & Little India this hotel, along with its sister hotel near Central station is my first & usually only choice on my frequent visits to KL.
It has a great blend of price/comfort & facilities & in more than 8 visits, I am yet to be tempted to try anything else. It does get very busy & sometimes WiFi performance is poor but staff are receptive & will try and solve any issues.
In this price range, recommended uncondtionally
- Intan (6/5): Breakfast tak sedap - Not a quiet room, can hear people talking outside.
- brendan (8/5): Thumb up after renovation. - After renovation the hotel has improved and good value for money. Overall a comfortable hotel to stay in a convenient location, easy access to train stations and KL-Go Red Line, yet nice and quiet. Staff are friendly and very helpful, helped us call a no-frill cab, save us trouble finding taxi.
- Awang abdul rahman (10/5): comfortable stay - comfortable stay
- Rob (8/5): Excellent value for money hotel - The hotel is located in a very good location near the Medan Tuanku monorail stop. Great shopping just 5 min walk around the corner. Clean and comfortable rooms.
- raymond (10/5): All you need comfort - convenient location with shops and restaurants, transportation one block away, quiet lodging with very hospitable and service oriented staff. One of the best housekeeping I have seen in KL lately.
- kamal (10/5): Just 1 night stay - Everything is ok.Regular/return guest to this hotel.Recently starting this year will stay here almost every week. Before never ask for upgrade to Dlx room if requst i will pay the diffrent.Just for this trip request free upgrade to Dlx room but reception just reply no.Hmmm....
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Just ok
Front office staff not so friendly no greeting no smile to guest coming
- Hisham (10/5): A great hotel - It's always good to stay at Prescott. The location is great; the staff is friendly; and, rooms are mostly clean.
- A Halim (8/5): Good location with easy acces to eateries and shop - Good location and easy access to eateries and shopping area.
- huda (6/5): - afffordable..but less car parking..hotel was nice..quite comfortable..
- Zul (8/5): Near to shopping complex - Nice place to visit . Walking distance to the popular shopping complex. Easy to find restaurant
- Shamsol (10/5): Value for money - Great hotel... very clean & comfortable but i have a little bit problem with car parking
- Cam (10/5): Nice Always - Stay this hotel for every week.Nothing to say. Overall all ok.
- Vinay (2/5): Lost it’s charm as a affordable stay - Extremely rude behaviour at the reception upon check in. Request were not met. Expedia was blamed for booking confusion including the fact that the request was not communicated by Expedia. Upon checking the receipt it was clearly stated I had requested a specific room. Condescending attitude by Sara at the reception did not help the confusion and I was told that it was not hotel policy to put the security deposit on a credit card. This is mostly acceptable ip to a certain extend unfortunately the mannerism in which the check in was conducted was extremely disappointing.
- Lexdan (10/5): Excellent stay - Words cannot describe how happy I was with my stay in this hotel . Firstly it’s location was great as it was located near to the monorail station. Secondly the rooms was recently renovated which gives it a better look and feel. Thirdly , the shopping malls located at every corner within close proximity to the hotel was a great advantage as well. Best part of it all was the price that doesn’t break the bank :)
- mani (8/5): Excellent hotel - We need place where always peaceful and relaxing went traveling. This hotel worth for money
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Located in a quiet place within Kuala Lumpur's city centre.
- Hubert Daniel (10/5): Enjoyed the stay here - Stayed for 3 days during the new year period. Easy access to all major places in kl. There is a metro station near by. Room is very spacious and clean.
I enjoyed the stay here
- adeel (8/5): Nice central location with all amnesties close by - Good hotel at a good location, would recommend . Good restaurants and Nana train station at 5-7 min walk
- MIZZ MZ (10/5): VERY NICE HOTEL NEAR SOGO AND JALAN TAR - MY EXPERIENCE AT HOTEL IS VERY SUPERB,THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND THE HOTEL IS VERY GOOD.VERY RECOMMENDED TO YOU.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Value for money - Good hotel with cheap rate. Near to shopping complex.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not for a family - Dirty bed sheet and pillow case
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All Good.Happy with our stay there.

- chenta (10/5): Near transport facilities & near shopping complex - The hotel it is very easy to find places to shop, restaurants, and very close to the Monorail and LRT station.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location & comfy bed!
