- Rupesh (8/5): - For the value of room rates I paid, I can't complain. They even allowed an early c/in. Breakfast buffet seems a bit overpriced for the selection of meal choices. It's a bit disappointing to find out that they can't make a flat white, let alone choose plant based milk for those with lactose intolerance. I paid 20 AED for an awfully tasting cappuccino. At night, people talk loudly while they walk through the corridor. There are clubs in the hotel and that probably explain why so.

- Vanessa (6/5): - We found the staff rude and unhelpful, we were disturbed by a women yelling at 3.30am one night for about 20 minutes, no apology or explanation as to what was going on. Bell service was a rip off, we asked for a taxi and he put us in a private car wanting to charge us a premium price. We booked a tour through the hotel and wasn't what we paid for, had to pay extra on the tour for some extras and we were put in the two back seats with no leg room for over 3 hours. When we asked for a partial refund the concierge was disinterested in our experience and said that was the price for busy time, even though it wasn't a busy time. Food and Beverage staff at breakfast were unfriendly and appeared like they didn't want to be there. We were told on arrival they were doing renovations we were not aware of so there would be some noise during the day. Overall very disappointing and won't stay there again.

Too much going on in this Hotel , Is it a entertainment center more than hotel , My Shower was not properly working , Whole night until 4 morning , Drum was banging on my head , no smoking but my room and whole hotel was full of cigarettes smell , they have rented all the empty spaces for sports bar like in the pool area and lobby area .

- syed (6/5): Good for night life - If you are alone and enjoy night life this is the hotel to stay. There are four nights club and a rooftop shisha . Loud noise till 3am in the room. Lot of Russian and Uzbek crowd
- ISHRATH (8/5): Good old hotel - The hotel is bid old and run down, staff were good, checkin was quick, bathroom are very old, shower water flow is slow, if that is of concern to travelers, many entertainment facilities in-house, Many restaurants in walkable distance. Parking basement to room connecting elevators are not there, so better off load luggageâs before heading to the parking. In room safety box looks museum piece, it will no way fit in laptops if that is of any concerns to travelers, pillow options are not there. Bed was so so comfortable, furniture is old and needs renovation, I guess still itâs a good come back for the facility Post-pandemic era, with incoming post-pandemic revenues, I hope things will improve for better guest experience Lots of entertainment in-house for adventures travelers

- Verified traveler (2/5): WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER - When we arrived, they let us wait for a long time and they were talking in front of us in a different language and looking at us. The room was in a no-smoking area but all floor was smelling and our room was almost impossible to stay. The windows could not be open as they have a central air conditioner. If you are looking for a place to sleep, don't go to this hotel. They have a party every night with very loud music and if you complain, they say can not do anything. So we couldn't sleep any of the nights we are there. Terrible customer service, terrible hotel. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR HOLIDAYS DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL.

- Tahira (4/5): Worst nightmare while traveling. - I stayed overnight and need it to take a bath there was no hot water I call the front office and the first time the operator said that it will give the information to the engineering department. 45 minutes later I called again and they said the same thing. Later someone came and help out with that but another problem was that the water will not stay down. Around 11:30pm the music from the bar was so loud that it didnât let me rest. I will never stay in or recommend this hotel.

- Suzann (6/5): Disappointing - Our room was spacious, but extremely noisy all night, until 6 am. The Suites are directly above nightclub. Staff and Buffet were excellent. Rooftop waiters the best! No dance floor for club goers in English/Russian Nightclub. Only tacky dancers on stage. Room was not kept adequately clean. We stayed over 10 nights, and bathroom floors were not swept. The hotel was attractive, but these things took away from overall stay.

First nights i slept at 5 Am because of the loud music and on the second night I have left at 2 Am because could not sleep and the hotel duty manager was helpless,and did nothing to low the music. they have two night clubs working until 3 am, and after that at roof they go open until 6am. No way to have a peace or your an sleep the music and the sound vibrations in the windows, the walls and bed !! very bad experience. The place is also not recommended for families; its embarrassing for couples and families to stay in such place... its a pick up point !!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible Experience - Got greatly inconvenienced by Housekeeping staff who entered my Room. On asking for a clarification the Manager said it's an Internstiinal Practice to knock, which I didn't hear, and then entering the room without permission.
- DubaiPhile (4/5): Lack of Customer Service - I stayed at this hotel for one week with my two young sons, the whole stay was ruined by the thump thump of music from the inhouse club. If that wasnt bad enough one of the cleaners threw away my sons mobile phone, and newly purchased headphone and memory card which were in a shopping bag left on the coffee table. I am certain he didnt steel it but just threw it away. I think its very poor for a 4 star hotel to train its staff in such a way that they do not realise that its up to the guest what he throws away, I have stayed in hotels of all star ratings and they only trow away what I put in the bin. Upon reporting the matter to the senior manager he completely washed his hands of the problem, and said that it was up to the cleaner to make it up to me. I found this attitude completely unacceptable especially for a 4 star hotel that aspires to being a quality hotel. Having realised that to replace even a cheap ÂŁ100 phone would mean substantial hardship for the cleaner I decided not to persue the hotels suggestion. All I wanted was an acknowlegement of the hotels error and a small gesture such as a discount on my next stay or something similar, with that noise from the club I probaly would not want stay here again anyway so it would have not cost them anything anyway.

It was noisy when the night club opens from midnight to 3:00 am. - The reservation was for a non-smoking room. Upon checking in, they said they do not have any non-smoking rooms available. - A water leakage in above the false ceiling in the bathroom. They kept working from midnight to 1:00 am to control it. - Employees should be better quality for a four stars hotel.
- Veselina (6/5): Horrible service - A good atmosphere in the hotel and nice and renovated rooms, however, the service was horrible . The staff was not helpful , even rude I would say. None of our service requests was done. Very disappointed, would not book again. Plus when we wanted to use the sauna, it was not even on, and we were advised to come back later or to wait inside while it warms up. Unacceptable for a 4-star hotel.

Restaurant fine with excellent girl staffers from Philippines. Bars and sports club (!?) disappointing.
- vero (6/5): Good hotel however uncomfortable during the night - It was my second time in Dubai (October 2014) I love this city and for sure it wasn't my last time there! Capitol hotel could be very nice hotel, location is great , close to Jumeirah open beach, short drive to Dubai mall, employees were very helpful with any request. However in the night changes into very strange place due to night club downstairs. As a young European woman I found myself more dressed than those local ladies standing outside or at the lobby (everywhere you can read about strict dress code),however many times I received some dirty looks when me and my husband walked through the hall to our room in the night hours. Once we were witnesses of the fight between 3 men. I think all this night issue ruined that great experience in this hotel. It's not a great advertisement and unfortunately it looks very cheap and it's intimidating for a normal hotels visitors. Last year I have been at Mercure hotel (just next door) where standards were really high, so I would definitely prefer Mercure over the noisy and cheap Capitol. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for families with kids or couples.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Couldn't Sleep - We paid for 4 nights but had to leave after 2 nights. We simply couldn't sleep from the noise. The hotel has a number of loud night clubs on the ground floor and another on level 5. The loud music starts at 10 pm and ends after 3 pm and you cannot escape the noise. Apparently guests do not observe the non-smoking signs since our room had a smoking odor. The bathroom is very old with mold in bathtub. Staff was very courteous as is the case with hotel workers in the Gulf and they were sorry to see us leave.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Cigarettes and working girls - Do you like to wake up to cigarette smoke and the smell of working girls? Then we have the place for you! The hotel is a little aged, which means a little run down (nothing too bad) with the bonus of very large rooms. But none of that matters compared to the billowing clouds of cigarette smoke and the smell of 50 years of debauchery baked into the carpets and walls. Never again.

- Khan (6/5): Too far away from major attractions - Staff is generally ok but the hotel infrastructure is very old. You can not get any meaningful service from business centre. Food in terrace restaurant is almost impossible to eat. Any place except the rooms are very dirty.
- Traveler (10/5): Great place great price - I really enjoyed my stay at capitol hotel. The staff was only some what helpful when I had some problems but that was the only downside.
- Max (8/5): Nice location - The hotel was great and I was happy with all except for not having a free internet service. I was expecting this free service from a four star hotel, I was very disappointed when I was told I had to pay a lot of money to use the service per hour. This issue should be sorted I had a friend staying in a two star hotel in downtown she had a free internet/wi-fi service available so I do not understand this hotel trying to charge the customer fortune for what should have been a part of standard service.
- Doctor (6/5): men at the disk was disrespectful - 1. during checkout an Indian young man was very rude with a disrespectful remarks that he made to me and to another customer were standing near by. 2. there were a hidden fee at the disk i got charged 3. facilities at the top roof was very dirty, such as steam room, bathrooms and there were no a single key even available for your clothing at the lockers room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): 4 Star?? - I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel. The pool was being renovated but I was not made aware of this before my stay. The pool was not able to be used because of the work going on. It was also above my room so it was very noisy on occasions. I was asked repeatedly if I was checking out on the day I was - before check out time. The hotel was not near a metro station so location was not good. I have sent my comments to the hotel without receiving a response. No I would not recommend this hotel.
- Cesar (4/5): Too noisy ! - Below average for Dubai. Far too noisy, had problems sleeping due to the two discos in the hotel. Location not bad, unfortunately far from Metro station
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not too bad - If you like Bur Dubai, this hotel is fine. Stay away from the lower floors unless you like the bass from the night clubs rocking you to sleep. All in all this is a nice hotel for the right price and I'll stay again, just on a higher floor.
- Mike (8/5): Reasonable hotel for the price - Stayed here several times now, with mixed findings each time. I was at the front of the hotel this time, and could hear noise from the nightclub on the ground floor. Try to get a room towards the back, it's much quieter.
- yazan (10/5): Nice hotel - It's a very nice and very well located hotel, the best of all that it's clean with friendly staff with a very very affordable price compared to any other hotel with same facilities in the same location. I would definitely visit again

- M Wright (4/5): - The weakness of this hotel is the housekeeping staff. The bathroom light switch was filthy. After the first day, the sofa disappeared from the room for the duration of the stay. the maid knocked something under the night table and never bothered to pick it up There is no voicemail to take incoming phone call messages. I had received 10 calls which I was not told about until after, by the callers.

- Frazer (6/5): Clean, large room. Bit noisy - After reading the reviews (after booking) I was really worried about this place. I emailed ahead to request a 4th floor room and got it. The room (419) was large and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. You can hear the clubs downstairs ( and above) but its not shaking the room. We (and baby) were not disturbed. There is a bar/ restaurant on the 5th floor too by the way. Overall it was cheap and pleasant. Pool small. Food good. Would stay again if I couldn't find a beach/pool hotel cheap enough or was going without family.
- MikeJ (6/5): Not the best hotel, not the worst. - I've stayed here half a dozen times now. It's nothing special, but reasonable value. Walking distance from a load of places to eat, breakfast is ok, service at breakfast is much better than it used to be.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bad service internet and tour desk - The service in the business center was bad: Open only 10 AM to 7 PM. Friday closed. Tour desk service very bad: Paid for day tour to Abu Dhabi. The next day I was not picked up, waited one and a half hours and then the hotel got a taxi, driver with little knowledge of English and a no guiding competence. I ended up paying the double amount and was not economically compensated.

- Soulrider (8/5): Are you looking to sleep and eat or enjoy the city - Basically, when you read comments about an individual's hotel stay you really don't know if you are making the right choice or not. So let me just make it easy for you. The Capitol Hotel is not bad for the money. And as most of you have already read threre is music from the clubs.. But wait, it's a hotel with three of them.Two at the front entrance and one at the rear. So noise...you be the judge. I however, did not hear any loud noise that would keep me up way pass ungodly hours. The breakfast rumor. Ok! Not the best in town but it's free so sit down read the paper and talk to other guest while you eat. I did! The only compliants are: Not enough towels in the room and paying 75(AED) $20.00 for 24hrs usage for the internet. Really! Other than that the staff and hostress were very professional. The location wasn't bad either. So now what did you learn from all this...no matter where you stay in Dubai, ask yourself are you there to sleep and eat or are you there for the enjoyment of the city? I stayed during New Years 1 Jan 2012. I'm American!
- Mason (4/5): Will never go back!! - The Hotel manager or reception didn't have time to explain the Hotel rules and facilities. The room view was a labor camp! the room wasn't clean. Hotel location is not very well... I'm surprised that this is a 4 star hotel. I would give him 1 star max
