AngelaMcC1234 (10/5): Above and Beyond - Actually styed here Sept 2022 and I can not thank the staff here enough. I was in a negative situation and was shaken up by a series of events, the staff made me feel safe from the second I arrived. They let me park right out front and put me in a room by the front desk, so the minute I opened my door I could see the desk. When I was checking out in the morning they checked on me to be sure I was ok. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Huge thank you to the staff
mguide378957 (2/5): Stay away from this hotel! - Arrived to be Informed the one elevator out. No sign of repair crew as they claimed was there. When I checked out, elevator still not working Probably in violation of ADA. It’s like an 8 story hotel. Place was packed with guests. Had to use one narrow stairwell to get to room on 6 fl. I complained and demanded discount. Front desk guy agreed to 20 %. Put it in writing. But that discount has never been received . Great location. But horrible management
SKashkari (2/5): Bad Hotel. - Lift was not working for 3 days. I had to take all my luggage to 2nd floor and I hurt my back. nobody helped me. Shame. I will never ever stay there, even if it is free. I suggest all, if you can afford to pay more money, stay somewhere else. I will surely pay 50% more to stay in some descent hotel next time. The only positive is that it is near to time square, so are at least 50 other hotels. Find those & book.

dariolisandro (6/5): Noisy as hell - Positive: Early check-in, close to Times Square, decent breakfast included, people is nice. Negative: Noise. There were desmantling works, it seems hotel was closing down, so they had a crew moving forniture, taking out carpets, etc. The first night they woked until midnight. I phoned front desk twice but there was no positive answer. Room was mustiness. I think it was de AC as it had some mold. Mirror frame broken. It was fixed with black ducktape. Elevator was out of order. I was told it was going to be fixed during the day, but by the time we checked-out the elevator was still out.
rgreen240318 (8/5): Great location - Great location, only blocks from time Square and tons of great restaurants in a very safe neighborhood. Rooms were big by NYC standards. Very clean but lobby a bit cluttered. Quiet street and parking garage across the street.

Good size bathrooms. Had a really comfortable stay. Only small complaint would be slight lack of wardrobe space but other than that a really good experience.

Is it in your daughter and the freaked out about her being in our room even thou we repeatedly said she was not staying. The television did not work and no one could fix it. 924russellm (10/5): A Good, Clean Small NYC Hotel - Other than the room being a small, everything about this small mid-town hotel made my New York stay comfortable and reliable. Including the very comfortable bed. Thank you to the very calm and helpful young gentleman on the front desk who provided excellent assistance in all matters, including calling me an alternative taxi company when I urgently needed one after check out for my journey to distant JFK airport. This isn't a fancy hotel by any means, but everything they provide, including breakfast and all day access to water and ice in the lobby made my stay a very good one. I will most likely stay here again when I return to New York. (I can also highly recommend the excellent French restaurant, Marseille, just around the corner on 9th Avenue.)

Deanna (6/5): - I want to start by saying, we arrived very early before check in and they were able to get us in a room quickly. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked. We were there during 100* weather. We realized the toilet did not work and contacted the front desk at 5:10 pm…we were told nothing could be done until 9 am the next day. Couldn’t even change rooms. The refrigerator in the room froze our drinks and they exploded. That said, staff was very nice and the continental breakfast was good.
blpmargate (10/5): Great value - super clean - I'd actually give this 4.5 stars but it's not enough to dock it a full star. This hotel is as clean as any I've ever stayed in. Our room was just fine - not luxurious but very nice. The bathroom was large. We were lucky enough to get a room in the back of the hotel which was very quiet; something unusual for NYC. A very nice breakfast was also included which made it a great value. My only very slight negative is that, all around the property, the walls need painting. But, that didn't diminish our satisfaction. This is a clean hotel in a great location and is a great value.

ChucklesLondon (10/5): Great Stay - Excellent location if you want to check in and head straight back out as Times Square is only 3 minutes walk away. Breakfast buffet is worth mentioning and will keep you fuelled up. Harry and his team made our stay comfortable. Hotel is clean.
laurabB6619OU (6/5): Okay...but will not return. - Overall the staff were responsive and friendly. Breakfast was fine with the usual options one would expect for free. The biggest disappointment was the fact the rooms are tiny. You really cannot enjoy yourself as just enough room to walk for one person, and absolutely no place to put things down. Cleanliness is not good I cannot imagine how they would get a vacuum cleaner in the room. Bathrooms need overhaul. So in a pinch, if you are not picky and a single person who just needs a place to sleep....you should be fine. I would not recommend this place for a family or couple looking for a nice place.

DOUGLASS (6/5): - Room we were initially assigned to had a tub that wouldn't drain, so my child had to get out of it and get dressed again. Lamp was inoperable, didn't even have a knob. We were moved to another room for the night, and yet a THIRD room the next evening. That room had curtains which wouldn't close, so we had the city lights shining in our faces all night, making it hard to sleep. Manager was "out of town," and never called us as promised, so wr called HIM. Desk staff (Nil and Harry) were understanding, apologetic, and very helpful. They tried, but it wasn't their fault.

I also did not get a chance to take advantage of the free breakfast since my flight was leaving early. Everything was clean except the last guest shed alot of hair in the bathroom and houskeeping didn't quite get it all. Convinient spot for walking to activities, food, and shopping.

Fr. (6/5): Kind Staff/Tired Property - While the management and staff were friendly, the property showed some wear; rooms were small, wall tiles uneven, and paint chipped. The location was terrific for Broadway shows, and the 300 block of W. 44th was safe and convenient.
Dorothy (6/5): Staff very helpful, hotel could use some uodating - This hotel is ideally located for the theater district. However, it has definitely seen better days. It is clean and the breakfast was fine, but we ran into several issues. The main one is the construction site across the street--not Ramada's fault--where drilling began at 7 am. Fortunately the very helpful staff, especially Harry, got us a nice, quiet room the next day at the back of the hotel. Staff were excellent; the hotel could use some updating.

Expedia was not of much help neither. Small room, no space to locate luggage, dirty walls and lamp shades. Breakfast 😶Summary: not recommended at all.

Barry (4/5): - It is a rundown property. There is no carpet on the floors. My room was in the basement which smelled like the subway. The hotel staff was based in the basement as well so there was constant noise all night long.
Jamie (4/5): - We were on the first floor. I have never actually been to a hotel where your room is right off the lobby. We could hear the lobby music all night along with the dinging of the elevator and shuffling around of people. It made for a terrible nights sleep. Not to mention the door did not close all the way on its own, you really had to make sure it was latched when leaving.
John (4/5): Disappointed - I do not recommend this hotel at all. Our room was not ready even though we checked in past the acceptable time of 3pm. We had to sit and wait for a room to be cleaned. The lobby is unkept and cardboard boxes behind the front desk. Our room was very small, the towels were dirty and the overall room needed a serious upgrade. The only plus was its convenient location.

Justin (4/5): Very tired and old hotel. You get what you pay for - You get what you pay for. Very old hotel with one very slow elevator. Be prepared for coffee maker to not work, bedside lights to not work, low water pressure, paint peeling off walls, etc. The front desk staff was nice and helpful at check-in. That was really the only plus side of this hotel.
Patrick (4/5): - Expedia add stated that parking was included. The hotel website stated that parking was NOT available. I called the hotel prior to arrival and they stated that there was a parking garage across the street and to bring the ticket to the front desk upon arrival and they would validate it, which i did. Upon leaving, the parking garage said that the hotel only gave a discount and we still had to pay. Upon paying through the payment machine, we were charged the full overnight rate with no discount. We felt completely lied to. Aside from that, there was a prevalent smell of weed throughout the building, including our room.

MARIA (8/5): - When we got there Receptionist ,couldn't find our reservation. We provided both the Confirmation # and Expedia itinery #.We called Expedia to sort this out and my husband spoke to a lady who kept on saying she will send a "notification". When we asked what she meant by "notification"( email, text, phone call), the lady just said the same word. The hotel NEVER received a "notification" from Expedia. The good thing is that the Receptionist named, Parish Engandhi helped us find a room. The hotel did great. Breakfast was ample. EXPEDIA dropped the ball when it came to our reservation.

Just needed an indoor place to rest my head. I skipped breakfast but many ppl seemed to enjoy it.

JAY MARVIN (2/5): Ramada Hotel franchise disaster - The Concierge person has an sttitude. He doesn’t deserve to be dealing face to face with customers. The TV remote didn’t allow me to change channels at all. It’s been stuck on that same channel when I got in. The A/C can’t be turned off. It was cold for the whole night of my stay.

I wasn’t greeted with a bellhop and cleanliness but instead greeted with 2 people asking me for money and a façade of filth , so gross! Not what I expected for $600.00 a night . As I walked in through the doors of the so called lobby , they’ve crammed a service desk and a buffet counter into a 20x20 area. I barely even got a greeting and not even an offering to take up my bags . Elevator definitely needs to be serviced , dirty and has a lot of play stepping in and out of it and I only know this because I was a technician during my younger years. Room was the worst I’ve ever stayed in for that rate . Room was borderline clean , looks like it was renovated in a hurry with very little money , definitely cut corners as if no one would notice . Lastly to my surprise house keeping brought in her 3 yr old daughter on Saturday morning layed her down on blanket with some toys on hall floor while she cleaned rooms.Couldn’t believe it! I’ve stayed at Ramadas before but never again . I’m probably being a little to nice with this review ..

PETRA (4/5): - Besides a good variety of breakfast options, this hotel needs a huge updating. Everything was so old and outdated, the place looked dirty, the shower curtain was dirty. It’s reasonable but still not that cheap. So for almost $300 a night, this was a total NO. The bed was right at the door, almost bumped my knee when we opened the door. Too small and crammed. Only their breakfast would make me give them 1 star and still we had to clean our own table

Allison (6/5): - This hotel is in a great location, but it’s definitely showing its age. Closet handles broken, bathroom mirror held on by tape, dirty in some places, etc. The staff was very helpful though. The first room we went in reeked of cigarettes (it’s supposed to be a smoke-free property), but they switched us a to a new room right away. We also had issues with the tv in the new room, but they sent someone up quickly to fix it. Overall - great location, semi-reasonably priced place. It’s not fancy or the cleanest, but the staff is very nice.
Graeme (8/5): Fantastic location - A decent family room with two double beds. Breakfast was good, with a decent selection. Location is fantastic for theatres and close to metro.

Amber (4/5): - This place was basically a dump, compared to the other bad NYC hotels. Staff was terrible - most of them did not speak English so it was difficult to communicate. Our room overlooked a loading dock so we were woken up with trucks unloading at 2 am. Overall not a great experience.
