Guest Reviews
- Adam (6/5): - # Beds were super comfortable and the bedding was great.
# Excluding the shower pressure, the shower room was superb. # The dining room was not not laid out and not used. Instead, packet croissants or packet pain de chocolate in the room was the only breakfast :(
# The bedroom floor was dusty and had not recently been cleaned.
- Dave (4/5): It will improve, I am sure - The guy who owns the property was extremely friendly and helpful.
The bed was comfy and the shower top. The noise of builders doing renovation and, although understandable no breakfast and no tea was a dissapointnent.
It would have been helpful if I knew this before booking.

- Elles (7/5): - De bedden elk veer in bed voelde je in je lichaam. Zo slecht geslapen hele gebouw stonk muf alles was oud vloerbedekking kozijnen niet elke dag schonen nieiwecjamdoelen ook geen schoon beddengoed
- Jill (9/5): A great place to stay for an overnight - It was above expectations for star rating. Linen impeccably clean, nice shower area, and a BRILLIANT breakfast. Lovely people. Perfect for an overnight stay, had that B and B feel, dining area snug and traditional. Really for the price there was nothing to fault. You don't get 5 star accomodation if you pay a 2 star price. What they provided was higher stars than price paid through booking
- Adwoa Sarpong (2/5): -
- David (2/5): I wouldn’t stay there again, although staff were friendly - Nothing The shower had no pressure, room very basic and bleak
- david (1/5): No water, then no hot water in the morning, seen better crack dens - Didn’t eat it… poor hygiene was off putting Everything
- jean (7/5): total value for money ! - The cleanliness and the excellent care by the staff. The shower cubicle was very small.
- Richard (5/5): Was great location, but probably wont stay again - Location was main factor in booking it First impression are agressinve notices about food drop offs on front door
No reception area. Was in dining room with 2 other shouty men in tattoos!
Wardrobe doors were held togetther with elastic band
Expensive for quality but good location and for Friday night in summer in london
- Mary (4/5): Could be better. - Staff were lovely, the hotel had free wifi and parking. Area is quiet and looked after. 10 mins walk to the nearest tube. The ensuite wasn't great, a very small closet size that you could only just about sit on the toilet. Shower head broke in the tiny shower space. Bed was a very small double and not very comfortable, struggled with a decent nights sleep. Breakfast wasn't amazing either.
- Kelly (4/5): - We didn't stay for breakfast in the end The beds were so uncomfortable that we hardly slept

Geen hotel dus maar een b&b. De vloer plakt
Vies tapijt
Slechte bedden
Gordijnen hangen half stok
Spreken amper deftig engels
Ijskoude kamer
Badkamer met mini lavabo en slechte douche

- Akdogan (5/5): -
- Charles (2/5): Horrible - Location Cold bedroom, breakfast variety

- gianin (10/5): -
- Ben (6/5): - Location to the Kentish Town 02 Academy Decor
Bathroom
- Hiroshi (6/5): A precious old style real BnB soon to go under renovation (end 2025) - Nearly 100 GBP a night may be expensive considering the area and the size / quality of the room, but warm full English breakfast justifies the price.
Hospitality. The couple who operate the house are very nice. Attentive service at breakfast offering fresh toast to the guests.
Suburban residential neibourfood with a nice contemporary pub, Tufnell Park Tavern 5 min. walk and several ethnic restaurants including two Ethiopians near the tube station. The room was so small and just basic. Interesting to see how it will be renovated and what new rates they will offer.
A bit of walk for 10 min. from Tufnell Park Tube if you have a big luggage. There are bus stops closer depending where you go.

- Sam (8/5): -
- CK (2/5): - This is a tired B&B not a hotel, almost unheated, no tea and coffee in the rooms not even a glass. Very overpriced!
- Lyn (6/5): - shower on hot no way to turn it down.
- Min (6/5): Good value for money - Very clean, welcoming staff, great location for o2 forum in Kentish Town, only about a 12 minute walk. Breakfast was lovely and lots of choice. Bed was fairly comfortable and an extra blanket was in the room. Towels and shower gel were provided and there was a working TV in the room.
The house is in a lovely quiet area, we felt very safe walking there late at night. The rooms and hallways are tired and could definitely do with some tlc. Our room was near the front door so we could hear people coming and going and our windows rattled everytime someone shut the door. We could also hear people chatting for ages on the front step in the early hours while they had a smoke which kept us awake (not the fault of the hotel). The room was cold, so the extra blanket was definitely needed. The vending machine was totally empty. No bedside light.
- Aleksandra (7/5): -
- Fahy (2/5): For anyone who likes to get themselves out of their comfort zone - VERY VERY little There are two types of scams on the internet: the legal and illegal. The real problem here is with Booking.com who advertised this as a hotel. It’s not anything but a very bad B & B. The rooms are so small a Tyoko commuter would flinch, my Golden Retriever would run from the breakfast’ and the place didn’t even provide shower gel. For the money I paid it is a disgrace and Booking.com need to seriously get its act together
- Christina (7/5): -
- Duncan (8/5): - Great location for what I was looking for, short walk to shops and pubs.
- Nuria (3/5): -
- Max (6/5): - Nice location. Decent-sized room. Helpful staff. Free breakfast. Facilities are pretty dated. Breakfast wasn't great. Bed was slightly lumpy.
- Elisabetta Gagliardi (4/5): Brutto posto - Colazione accettabile Stanza piccolissima e fredda . Struttura molto vecchia
- Eimear (3/5): -
- Daniela (6/5): -
- Renata (6/5): -
- Agnieszka (8/5): - Very welcome receptionist. Great location just 6 min walk to the udeground. Off street parking Not very comfy bed

- Mitchell (8/5): -
- Edmund Wrzosek (10/5): -
- Mitchell (8/5): Comfortable and welcoming. - Breakfast was good, staff really helpful, rooms very comfortable. The basement rooms. The step up to the toilet and bathroom is a trip hazard. I tripped up nearly fell into the shower in the middle of night.
- Marius (6/5): -
- Tomasz (9/5): - Quiet area, breakfast, clean, good price
- richard (5/5): - The room served a purpose for a gig at the 02...so location was fine as within walking distance. Price was acceptable for London and for only 1x night. Breakfast was ample and enjoyable.
- william (9/5): The cHARLIE IS THE BEST PLACE TO STAY - the location was perfect , the owners were friendly and helpful, warm , friendly and helpful nothing
- Julien (4/5): Just ok but could have been much better - Well situated The bathroom was atrocious
- Ross (7/5): It's fine! Good for nights at the football. - Location for Emirates Stadium. 25-30 minute walk. Good price including breakfast. The hotel is dated, but to be expected for the price and star level.
- Mitchell (8/5): Clean and welcoming staff. Good breakfast - Clean and comfortable Nothing
- Gav1977 (7/5): - Good value for money and close to event I was attending The room was cold bordering on being damp
- James (10/5): Compact and comfortable. Well recommended. Great wee spot. - The rooms were cosy and warm during a cold period, it was close to amenities for food and drink and travel, I didn't get avail of the breakfast options because I slept in most days but that's not a downvote.
Working shower as well. I had a chill time there. Honestly have nothing negative to say about the place.
- Anna (5/5): Basic cheap hotel, good transport links - We booked a very cheap hotel for one night that was near to a concert we were attending. The location was good, within walking distance of shops and an underground station and on several bus routes, and the guest house was as expected. We booked basic single rooms, which had a bathroom, and breakfast was included. This was all we needed so it met expectations for a cheap budget hotel but there could be some improvements. The hotel staff were smoking outside the kitchen when we were having breakfast and the smell filled the breakfast room. My friend's room also clearly had previously had people smoking in it, and she could not sleep well because of it. The hotel was very noisy with other guests making a noise early in the morning and late at night. The shower door did not shut properly. There was no hand soap provided and I had to buy some: there was a small tube of shower gel but not actual soap.
- Elizabeth (8/5): A budget, warm and friendly stay! - The Charlie Hotel accommodated me at short notice after some building work fell through; they also amended my booking and upgraded my room free of charge. I met Wayne at the property who showed me to my room and gave me some water bottles for the room as well as sorting me out some breakfast in the morning. Welcoming and helpful, the facilities are reflected in the price however my room was warm and clean with good water pressure.
- Jerry (2/5): Awful - The lady that served breakfast was lovely and helpful, and when I told her our room was cold she got another blanket, all radiator controls were removed ,so thank you to her Whole building is very dirty and shabby and cold the bathroom ( if you could call it that was manky dirty ) only a 4ft bed and not a double, no lamp in room only 2 sockets
- stephen (8/5): Good cheap one nighter for gigs - 5 minutes from Dome and Tufnell park tube. 15 from kentish town. 30 from camden. Buffet, cooked breakfast. Good cheap.
- David (10/5): -
- Olga (5/5): -
- Abdoulaye (7/5): -
- Stephen (6/5): - Loacation was very close to my work it is priced according to the service quality. Its a cherp hostel Never emptied the bin
- Amende (5/5): - Great price Short staffed apparently so there was only toast and beans for breakfast
- Jasmijn (6/5): -
- Ryan (8/5): - Very accommodating in terms of checking in and checking out, having an old style rustic room with a smart tv was a nice touch too Nothing. Seen people saying it is old which it is but it is by no means run down
- Tracy (3/5): Terrible stay never will go back - Nothing It was dirty, curtains were broken and dirty and you could not even open them, there was no glasses to drink from in the room, dark lighting was poor and no mirror in room only small one in bathroom and no handwashing
- Alexandra (10/5): Perfect hotel and a very friendly host. - Host was very friendly, warm and welcoming. Room and facilities were spotless and comfortable, I only stayed one night but if ever I am in London again I would definitely book this hotel again. There was nothing I didn't like. Everything was spot on.
- susan (1/5): I did not feel comfortable at all and didn’t stay the night. I left the hotel and found accommodation elsewhere. - Nothing No access to a hot drink. No hot water for a shower. Window permanently nailed open about 12 inches.
- GIANNAKIS (6/5): - Location Rooms have no closet and very small
- Steven (3/5): You don't get what you don't pay for. - It was cheap. Bed was nice and clean. Leaky taps, fungal bathroom, basement room looking out to a derelict parking, broken windowpanes and locks. General lack of atmosphere. Lack of healthy options at breakfast. Clearly owned by someone out to make a buck not caring about their staff or their guests.
- Wong (4/5): -
- Tatiana Amélia (7/5): -
- Jan (10/5): - Perfect location Nothing
- Derek (8/5): Good value place on north London - Location and it’s quiet Bit run down, but everything you need
- Prissella (3/5): Overnachting met gezin - Lokatie Vies/ klein/ kapotte badkamer vloer/ gedateerde kamer
- Justin (5/5): Cold - Cheap with breakfast friendly staff Cold no heating and window slat missing
- MCP (6/5): Nice location, not far from Tufnell Park Underground , simple room, breakfast was not tasty :-( - Pricing and location are excellent No reading lamp/ thin bed cover. Coffee at breakfast was good, but the croissant and jam were in/ tasted like plastic
- timothy (4/5): -
- Markus (5/5): -
- Raymond Tully (7/5): - Location was great and lovely neighbourhood Beds weren't great and weird hole in the bathroom floor.
- Fergal (8/5): -
- Philippe (8/5): -
- Rachael (3/5): - Don't know I actually decided not to sleep there overnight it wasn't because the room for what it was was clean but what really was upseting there was no tea making facility considering that I paid over £80 one night you would expect it at least to have some tea.
- Kris (5/5): - Staff are nice people
Breakfast is tasty
Parking is safe and secure No housekeeping
No change of towels
- sohaib (8/5): -
- GIANNAKIS (7/5): -
- Christopher (7/5): - Clean, good value. Just what we needed!
Staff were lovely! Would use again in future
- Richard (2/5): -
- Richard (2/5): Felt grubby and cramped. - Parking and location.only. The place felt grubby and uncared for. After our event we decided to drive 2 hours home rather than sleep there.
