Guest Reviews
- Patrick (8/5): - Staff were great
- Basil (8/5): - Good hotel for the price, very close to Nana station, nice bars and restaurants close by, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious but because of the position of the building there was no natural light.
The only thing I didn't like is the transparent (frosted) bathroom door and wall preventing 100% privacy with from my friend.
- Grant (10/5): - Nice hotel in a good location. Even though it's close to a lot of bars and restaurants it was remarkably quiet. The staff were friendly, housekeeping very efficient.
- Roel R (10/5): - Price and what it offers are excellent.
- John (10/5): - Quiet room, firm beds with soft pillows. Immaculately clean and everything worked; all fixtures, outlets, appliances, etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Central location in the heart of downtown Bangkok. A great choice for anyone!
- Paul (10/5): - Clean well located and fair value
- Bob (10/5): - A great place to stay in the heart of the Sukhumvit Road busy area with lots of bars & restaurants.
- Stuart (10/5): Needs refreshed - A tired choice in soi8. This hotel has barely changed in th fifteen years of visiting. I think it could do with a refresh
- Bernard (10/5): - They claim to have a cafe but I couldn't find it though however doesn't really matter because there is plenty of food options around anyways.
- Thomas (6/5): - Nice helpfull Staff
- james (10/5): - Great Location!
- Sian Yee Jasper (8/5): - Clean and spacious room. 5 mins walk to nana bts station. Lots of dining options nearby.
- Jeremy (10/5): - Great locations with plenty to do
- kao (6/5): - Cheap hotel good for a short stay. Rooms are old and needs updating. It could be cleaner and had a weird smell but not a bad hotel for a short stay if you are on a budget
- Ian (8/5): - My only real gripe was outside traffic noise from Sukhumvit Rd. Otherwise was fine and a great location right near Nana Station.
- Mark (10/5): - I've used this hotel many, many times over the years and I haven't been disappointed. Great location.
- Jordan (8/5): - Overall a very good stay. Area surrounding has good vibes, lovely place. Best part was the room itself. I liked the floor to ceiling mirror and windows. Please note the rooms here do not have a view, the glass is frosted to allow light only: some rooms do not have windows.
- Dale (6/5): - Staff was friendly but need more training. Lots of stairs even getting to the room from the elevator. Makes it difficult with heavy luggage.
- Dale (4/5): - The staff are untrained in hospitality. They made us wait about 1 minute at check in and later while they texted on their phone. They do not communicate well. When asked if they had ice they said no just a room.
The room has no windows so there is no external light.
There is no mini fridge in the room. The TV is quite old and lacks modern functionality.
- Daniel (10/5): - Clean and quiet with easy access to the Skytrain. Colorful nightlife in the area.
- Keith (8/5): - Very good location, all amenities, like restaurants, massage parlours, shopping are all close by. The train station is 1 minute walk just outside the hotel entrance
- Mark (10/5): - Always one of my favorite places when in Bangkok.
- Luca (10/5): - Very friendly staff and central location
- Jeremy (10/5): - Great location great price
- Jason (10/5): Great place. - Really nice hotel in a buzzing location. Staff were very friendly, especially Melissa. They photocopied my passport when I asked, and looked after my bag after I checked out. The only issue I had was that the room was close to the road and a bit noisy.
- Suresh (4/5): - Not
- Paik (8/5): - The hotel was fine, except for one thing. The air. The previous owner smoked. Am I just unlucky?I was miserable because I hate cigarette smoke.
- James (10/5): - Extremely well taken care of and beautifully appointed property that has a family-owned feel to it. If you're looking for an affordable hidden gem within walking distance of the Nana nightlife, then On8 is it!
- Yi Tong Giselia (6/5): - A standard 3 star hotel. Tucked away at a small lane so easy to miss for first timers around that area
- Mai (6/5): - Too noise from Tuk Tuk roaring all night long. Staff very nice and friendly
- Dennis (10/5): - On8 is a great hotel with easy access to the BTS and an added bonus Raja’s Fashions is right in hotel lobby
- Robert (10/5): Love this place - Location is everything. Next to bts and next bts stop is Terminal 21 mall . This hotel is my favorite. Great pizza restaurant across street really close. This area offers a lot . Best massage places so close
- ROZANI (10/5): - Good location alternative entrance sharing with Tailor shop besides escalator to Bts Nana Station Exit 4. Lift to room using keycard.
- Jeremy (8/5): - Great location
- John (10/5): - Staff is excellent. Great location near the train station for public transportation. Rooms were spotless, our group will definitely be back. Thank you for making our stay comfortable.
- Verified traveler (2/5): I would suggest you to look elsewhere - There are plentiful of hotels in the local area, all similarly priced, so save yourself some trouble and stay at a more reliable place than On8. This Hotel is not very guest friendly, and certainly do not live up to any hospitality standards. Visiting Land Of Smiles should be a happy experience, and you are more likely to achieve that staying at a hotel who are actually helpful towards guests. This hotel even ignores messages, do not reply, and simply do not care. So until they have kicked out the management and put in some people who are true to the spirit of tourism, my recommendation is to avoid avoid avoid.
- Karan (10/5): Great hotel - Hotel looks exactly like the pics. I didn't get a room with a window but it was good. Late check-in allowed but there was no water in the room on the first night and housekeeping "forgot" to do my room the next day. Don't use the 'make-up room' button as the light turns off when you take the card out of the main switch. Friendly staff, great location, not noisy and perfect if you want something right in the heart of everything. No restaurant on prem but plenty of options to eat elsewhere. Some towels were worn out and single ply toilet paper but otherwise it was decent.
- Thai (10/5): - Good value stay. Hotel is next to the Nana station.
- Cesar (6/5): - Ok for the price - I knew what I was paying for.
- karl (2/5): - First of all the first room 301 had water problems causing a constant loud noice like the horn on an ocean liner. When we complained they sent an incompetent guy to fix it which did not. Called again, he was back had no idea how to fix it. Then the duty manager comes up to say they are fully booked. I told i want my money back and she said take it up with expedia. Then she comes up with another room on the 4th floor. Air conditioning was not working. She comes up to check and then the incompetent guy up who to shout at my wife in thai. I didn't know what was going on. After he left she told me was fearful that he was going to punch her. We called the duty mgr and she came to the room. She could see we had no air conditioning. My wife told her in thsi howvthe staff guy threatened her. I told she needs to terminate that guy for his militant actions against my wife. In the mean timevi went on line and booked a cheap hotel nearvthe airport since i had to check in at 0430 for an international flight. I finally got to the newly booked hotel abd into bed by almost midnight and had to get up at 0330am. Thecduty mgr came to us agn and said she fpund another room in the hotel but i had already paid at bookingbfor the orher hotel at the airport. The duty mgr has my wifes mobile number and will have the hotel owner call her today to discuss what happened.
Another note the first room 301n was just above a string of bars, massage places and prostitutes running are.Very
- Mark (6/5): - Very convenient location and walking distance to the BTS rail station.
Very, very small room and very dimly lit. Poor lighting conditions inside this room by design. Windows were frosted and could not see outside at all. As other reviews stated, the entrance is either through the Tailor Shop on the main road OR through a very small/short alley way around the corner. You can do laundry in the alley way further back. Just ask the nail salon owner right outside your alley way entrance. Also, no breakfast provided. But there are many places to eat right outside this hotel. We chose the street food vendors for 60 Baht per meal. Nutritious, healthy and tasty and inexpensive.
- Veronica (4/5): - The entranceof this property is located in a back lane which is surrounded by pubs, and thus may not be suitable for family with young children. The front of the hotel faces the main road.of Sukhumvit. While it is very convenient in terms of location, the music and traffic can be pretty noisy at night for those hoping for a restful night.
- Matt (8/5): - Our 1st room was horrible, very noisy and bright. New room was much better, but housekeeping didnt refreash often enough.
- charles (10/5): - great location
- Oskar (10/5): - Very convenient location!!
Downstairs is a small walking street.
Bars, massage, restaurants etc
It backs on to the main road so you can hear the tuk tuks all hours. Even with no windows. A little white noise would fix it....
- Keith (10/5): - This place is right in the middle of it all. You can get about to the hot spots within a short walk. There is a place right on the corner which does great food and drink.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient - Good convenient hotels
- Calvin (10/5): - Economical stay, helpful staff. The cafe has not opened since covid and has been turned into a clothier. Rooms are largely windowless, so if natural light is important, avoid. But if for a simple place to sleep well in the night hours, On 8 is great.
- Mark (10/5): - I am a repeat customer and really the hotel. Busy neighborhood but quiet. Helpful staff. It's a nice place.
- allaine chester (8/5): good location near BTS train - nice location due to near to BTS train station . lot of bars outside the hotel. not friendly if you have kids due to the night bars . but best for couple or single travel
- joseph (10/5): - I stayed in room 407. First the windows are fogged for privacy but then you can't see what type day it is, i.e. if i need umbrella or not. Second the windows let A LOT LOT LOT of noise in. All night long tuk tuks with very VERY loud exhaust screaming down the street, all night long till 5am
- Pui Sie (8/5): - Not my first time staying here. All good, thank you.
- Alan (2/5): - .
- mun chung (6/5): - Near to transport with many F&B options. Hotel room size is ok but no windows.
- ABDULAZIZ (8/5): - The hotel is very practical, but in relation to the Middle East, the rooms are small, and in general it is distinguished by its proximity to the train station and some refrigerators
- Paul (4/5): - There is never a quiet moment in the room. There was constant, very loud traffic noise all night. Took a long time to check in as the hotel could't find my booking.
- Stuart (10/5): - Good choice in Sukhumvit
- Andrew (10/5): - Excellent location and great value for money. Will definately use again
- Girardo (8/5): - Nice staff.
- richard (10/5): - Lovely hotel and lovely staff,nice room & location,wifi very good.
- Lucas (6/5): - It's close to the sky train
- charles (10/5): - I loved the friendly staff.
- Karsten (6/5): - Very good location to start exploring Bangkok via the BTS skytrain system.
Thin and small amount of toilet paper provided. They offered to call a taxi to the airport which would have cost 500 Baht. I found one by myself for half the price.
- steve (4/5): - The hotel room is extreamley noisy at night to the point where i couldnt sleep.
I was on the 5th floor and the noise was unbearable
- Colin (10/5): - Clean and quite. Security very good pleasant staff. Very good location I will use this hotel again
- Girardo (10/5): - The staff were very nice, and informative. My room is in good condition. What is there not to like?
- Michael (4/5): - Tucked away in an alley with a couple massage shops. Hallways reeked of a dirty odor.
- Matthew (8/5): - A comfortable, clean room that is very conveniently located. The property has good sound proofing, which is important in Sukhamvit area. Lots of walkable dining and entertainment options.
- Ivan (10/5): - Super modern and very nice designed hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Plenty of faulty functions in the room - This is my 2nd stay after covid and its very disappointing as the condition of the rooms are quite rundown. I had to call for servicing of the toilet bowl as it doesn't flash. The heater of the shower is very annoying, you had to turn on and off the cold water in order to have an average heat of water. The hot water automatically shuts halfway through bathing and then went extremely hot all of a sudden that burns. Im constantly adjusting the water temperature. The air-conditioning, at some days isn't working, so you will feel its like suana. At times, its normal and at some days its extremely cold. There is a faulty faucet, so I had to keep attaching it back cause it came off. These are the unhappiness I have during my 6 night stays but the rest are good. Easily accessible to BTS. This will just be my last stay here going forward.
- Howard (10/5): Location...location...location! - Great Hotel..... Soi 8 is very nice and convent... Very quiet hotel during my stay. I actually checked in for another day. Will stay again.
- Keith (10/5): - It’s always a pleasure staying at this hotel. Friendly staff, bars just outside the doors. Train station two minute walk. The most important thing is that it’s guest friendly with no questions asked
- Jason (10/5): - The staff is amazing. Helped me get a taxi because the BTS line wasn't running that early in the morning. Even walked me out to make sure i knew where to meet them.
- Daniel (8/5): - Excellent service and good hotel in general. As with many properties in Thailand, they could stand to upgrade their water heater. Even very early there is no hot water, which is very unpleasant to many people.
- Francescopaolo (8/5): - This is a nice and well kept hotel placed in a great location for all sorts of activities. The staff is professional and friendly and was quick to answer my inquiries. The decor is a bit old fashioned but not worn. My room did have a window but the glass was opaque so no view. Still, I could get some natural light which is pleasing. I was surprised that there wasn't a bum gun in the bathroom but I was told they will install them in the future. The rain brought an unpleasant odor in the lobby (not uncommon in Bangkok) but it didn't reach the room so no big deal.
- Terence (10/5): Great location for a great price - Enjoyed the stay. Good price for the location to explore, with lots of eating places and massage around.
- Murray (8/5): - Checkin staff was very friendly & helpful. Taxi driver couldn't find the hotel because it was in a dark, little side street.
- Kevin (10/5): - On8 quite possibly has the best location for the price in the Sukhumvit area. This was my fourth time staying here. And I will likely stay again. However this hotel is surrounded by what seems to be constant construction and renovations by neighbors. It is out of their control but could be an issue if trying to sleep during daytime. The staff was awesome particularly housekeeping and reception. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
- byron (6/5): short stay BKK - Room was a decent size, clean, modern, but there is renovation going on in the building next door with adjoining walls - so, noisy during day. (September 22).
The room window (frosted) looks down on the back alley where there is a massage shop and bar so also a bit noisy at night. Ask for a room not near back alley.
- David (4/5): - Great location.
Room #403 has no windows, strong cigarrette smell.
Room #305 has no window either, but not as much smell.
Got awaken at 7am, phone ringing.
AC is very loud.
Had a strong argument at check/in, after paying with MasterCard they wanted to write down all details of my card! Wanted me to leave and pay them bach cash.
Did not have enough cash so I told them I was not leaving.
I didn’t let them write down my credit card details!
Convenient door next to BTS Nana through a tailor shop.
- Sean (2/5): Stay away - I had an exceptionally bad stay at this location for a two day trip. My biggest concerns on the first day were that the hot water wasn’t working and the Wi-Fi was sporadic at best. What makes this a one star stay for me is when I checked out my girlfriend had left a small bag in the room. When we returned 15 minutes later the jewelry inside the bag since collected by the cleaning staff was missing. They said that she probably lost the jewelry elsewhere but then we noticed that a box of tissues I personally packed was also missing. We spoke to the manager about this who refused to confront the cleaning staff about the theft. This would have been a 6/10 given the Wi-Fi and hot water issues but thievery is an absolute no for any place I would stay in. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.
- Mark (8/5): Good Stay - Stay here good value great location next to BTS.
AVOID HOPE LAND down the road worst hotel in Thailand. Rip off.
- Anthony (10/5): On8 out of 10 - Amazing locstion
- Song (10/5): - The location is very accessible. Directly next to the BTS.
- William (10/5): Nice clean Hotel in great location - Good hotel in a great location next to Nana Station with links to the Airport Express and Sathorn boat terminal so easy to get to all the main tourist sights.
Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful. The rooms are a reasonable size and the windows are frosted so no views of the neighbouring buildings, which was not a problem. A bit tricky to find but definitely worth the effort
Very busy area, but room was quiet and comfortable.
- Keith (10/5): Best business class hotel in the area - On8 is my go to hotel in Bangkok. Its at one of the best locations in the city, within a 5 minute easy walk to the MRT, Terminal 21 mega mall and night entertainment districts.
With all that, one might expect it to be noisy but you'd be wrong. The rooms are some of the most quiet rooms ive ever stayed at.
I love that hotel!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved our stay here! Great property and location and very friendly and helpful staff!
- Verified traveler (8/5): BEST LOCATION FOR STAYING NEAR BTS - It is a convenient location which is just 1 stone away from NANA BTS. I love the hote so much except a few things. Firstly, I had to keep calling room service to have them to replenish the shower caps for me. Secondly, the cups were not washed or changed for me. Lasty was the area was quite hectic that you will be able to hear music played by nearby bars throughout the wee hours during weekends. Other than this, I am perfectly fine and happy with the stay.
- Darren (10/5): - Our stay at On8 Orienatl Nimman was fantastic. From check in until check out.
Will definitely come nack and stay here.
- michael (10/5): - Very nice boutique hotel in a great location . The only complaint I had was with the breakfast which is very weak! Nice room comfortable bed and very clean!
- Daisy (8/5): - The hotel is clean with reasonable price, suits family travel and many shopping malls nearby
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The rooms were decently sized. Location was not as central as I had hoped. Staff were not overly helpful like other acoomodation we stayed at in Thailand. Breakfast was quite disappointing - very limited options and the cooked food was not very good. Overall quite a good stay but possibly better to have stayed in a better location for the price.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very basic hotel. Good for short stay. Easy accessibility to Nana BTS is the only attraction.
- Oscar (8/5): Best location - Best location but a little bit noisy.
Friendly service and good response.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Small rooms, bathroom light stays on but not bright when inside, very ordinary breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Have stayed in hotel a number of times over the years. This year very disappointed with breakfast choices.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel is just below nana bts and the amenities are clean.
- Fatdragon (8/5): - The location for this hotel is just great! Right under the Nana station. One stop away from Terminal 21 shopping centre. But don't even bother with getting their breakfast. Is just hopeless. You will be better of going to the shops next to the hotel. Bad smell at the lobby too.
- Mark (8/5): Improvement on Last Stay - Better than last stay breakfast nothing to write home about but all good.
- Mark (4/5): A Few Feet From BTS Platform WTH - Room at front literally a few feet from the BTS Platform...horrible plus street noise.
TV stations crap.
Comfort level so so noise unforgiveable.
