- 774shaund (10/5): Perfect location and great staff - We could not have picked a more perfect hotel to base ourselves in for a short break to Florence. The location was ideal, being only a short walk from all of the places we wanted to visit and some excellent restaurants. The hotel itself was beautifully clean and the staff were superb - really knowledgable, helpful and patient considering they must get asked the same questions every day. The restaurants they recommended for dinner were literally within a minute or two of the hotel and each one served great food in different but excellent atmospheres. Breakfast was buffet-style with the option of additional cooked eggs and the coffee was great. All of our needs were met by this fantastic hotel. Highly recommend!

- phillyrose13 (10/5): Royalty service! - I have stayed at this incredible hotel before and I was delighted to see that it remained equally as incredible as the first time I stayed. This hotel is located in a wonderful part of Florence. It is amazing for shopping and sightseeing. It is clean and inviiting. However, the best part of staying at this hotel is the staff. They are welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and ever so caring. I especially want to thank Amanda, Culatta and Jamil. I, unfortunately, cannot recall the names of all the staff members who were so kind and so accommodating. The inclusive breakfast is first rate. I was thrilled that the staff at breakfast took my celiac seriously and made every attempt to make certain all was well. One day we had to leave super early and they made provisions to have coffee ready and a to go breakfast bag for us. Mine was marked gluten free. I appreciated this so much. Our room was always clean and fresh. It was comfortable and quiet. I highly recommend this hotel and their exceptional staff. It is a 5 star plus. Grazie.

My sibling and I stayed at the Golden Tower Hotel and Spa back January 24 for 3 nights. Everything was perfect! The hotel location is off on a quiet small street yet close to everything. We easily walked to all of the sights, even from the train station when arrived and return was an easy walk. Our rooms were luxurious with very comfortable beds. Housekeeping kept the rooms very clean. Breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices both hot and cold. The people were pleasant. We will definitely be back for another visit. Thanks for such an amazing experience!

Deluxe room with a very comfortable bed, the room was a peaceful retreat from the busy city. It had everything you could ask for, beverage making facilities, fridge, luxury bathroom, particularly loved the Roberto Cavelli products. Hotel is located in a great central position making it easy to explore. Look forward to another return visit.
- Sightseer640826 (10/5): A really lovely stay at the Golden Tower - A gem of a family run hotel in central Florence, within 7-10 minutes of most attractions. Spent 5 very enjoyable nights (including a birthday) which everyone in the hotel went above and beyond to make special - thank you. We had a his/ hers massage in the spa which was relaxing, and our room 501 has a separate jacuzzi & an outdoor area to sit and relax. Considering breakfast is advertised as a buffet, you are offered cooked eggs and bacon along with a wide selection of croissants and fruits. As my wife will attest I’m someone who likes to set the bar high, & would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely boutique hotel. Our thanks and congratulations, to The Golden Tower staff!
- mattyrozee (10/5): Golden Tower Hits All the Marks - "Is it Near The Important Places I will Visit?" Golden Tower is quite literally in the heart of the city, 5 min walk to the Duomo, 5 min walk to Ponte Vecchio and about 8 to cross to the other side of the Arno. Walk to the train station in 12 minutes and all the museums and best restaurants within 15 minutes. Plus the hotel is located just off the main streets - thus close to everything without opening into foot and car traffic; i.e. quiet. "Are the Staff Nice?" Super nice. Super helpful. Could help us when we needed it and didn't bug us when we didn't. "Are the Rooms Nice?" Ours was. We had a single large bed (likely 2 singles put together as they tend to do in smaller Italian hotels), and it was very comfortable. I slept great. Couldn't her neighbors at all. Bathroom was large, had a bath (we requested it), and the room itself was larger than the ones I've stayed in previously in Florence. "How's the breakfast?" Very good. What I expect from relatively nice Italian hotels. They all do breakfast pretty well. Lots of options, sweet to savory, eggs and bacon, yogurt and pastries etc. Great start to the day. "How's the spa?" Don't know. didn't use it. "How's the decor?" Very Firenzian - ornate an classical. This isn't contempo modern. But I don't want that in downtown Florence anyway. "How's the value?" Great. Given the cost we paid for 5 nights compared to other boutique luxury hotels, I'd say it's generally more value for the money. Especially given its location. We went in early April though, and prices may adjust as summer approaches. "Is it noisy?" Not at all. Almost never. Couldn't even hear the streets. "Would you stay again?" Absolutely.
- ecogg (8/5): Lovely Hotel in the Heart of it all! - This hotel is indeed lovely and is ideally located in the heart of everything! An absolute stand out feature and stand out employee was SIMONE!, who tended the beautiful bar area located in the beautiful lobby! He absolutely went above and beyond to serve up delicious cocktails and small plates that we all enjoyed! The breakfast s are absolutely outstanding and the breakfast team are so kind and efficient in making your favorite coffees each morning! My son and his fiance had booked the GOLDEN SUITE which is the premier suite at this hotel. Please do know that it is lovely, but it is located on a different elevator where you may feel isolated. The view in this lovely suite is disappointing as you are literally looking at a wall from the window in the living room and a rather creepy area from the master bedroom. As the air conditioning was not yet turned on for the season, the only window that I would leave open (my son and his fiance ended up taking my room) was the living room window because it was higher from the ground. And yes, there was street noise, but I could close my bedroom door… although then the room became too warm. The room I had booked was a Junior Suite with a Jacuzzi and it was lovely and bright. My son did alert the front desk team that the shower, though lovely, did not drain well. The hotel was very kind and sent a lovely bottle of Prosecco to my son and his fiance in celebration of their engagement! Thank you for a lovely stay. My son and his fiance did enjoy the compliment Art Spa hour that came with booking the Golden Spa Suite.

We had 2 luxury twin rooms which were perfect; well appointed, spacious and comfortable. The bedding and towels were very nice. This hotel is beautiful, extremely clean, has excellent breakfast and the service was outstanding. The location is perfect for excellent shopping, dining and walking anywhere you’d want it o go in Florence. We will return and highly recommend this hotel.

We loved the bar/lounge area and the coffee was great. I have only one minor criticism that there was nowhere to put toiletries etc in the bathroom. We ended up using a stool but hardly a major issue, just a niggle that could easily be sorted.

They had the best fruit choice amongst all the 5 star hotels in Italy. The staff were superb, efficient, thoughtful, polite and helpful. As a former business owner I know that it is extremely hard to get this combination right so kudos to the management. The lady who checked us in and Mohammed in the breakfast room were outstanding. Both have the potential to reach to the top in the organization. Khaled seemed to be an all-round hard worker. I surprise myself by saying that there was nothing to complain about. Usually that is not the case.

- Steve186346 (10/5): Perfecto - This lovely hotel is in an excellent location - very central to all major sights but far enough away to be peaceful. Everywhere was within 10 to 15 mins walk, perhaps 20 mins to Pitti Palace. Staff were professional, welcoming, with excellent language skills and very knowledgable about places to visit. Our room was large and extremely comfortable, fully equipped with minibar, complimentary tea, coffee and water. The bathroom was similarly large with bath and shower which were very welcome after long days exploring the city. The breakfast room was welcoming and a wide choice was offered to suit all tastes. Pastries, fruit, cooked items all available together with freshly made omelette etc on request. The staff there were very friendly and attentive. The immediate vicinity felt safe to walk around after dark and there are a number of nice restaurants very close by. The hotel really added to our enjoyment of Florence as it felt like an oasis to return to after busy days sightseeing. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.

When we initially checked in we were given a room that had a spiral stair case a very small window that you had to climb up on a stool to look out of and a room that I could not stand up in majority of. When I went back down and explained I could not stand up and the lack of natural light the team moved us to a room that looked more like what we had booked online but insisted it was an upgrade. Finally if you want to access the pool / spa it is €70 per person per hour which we found out on arrival.

I would highly recommend this hotel as it is located in a great part of the city, minutes from all the main attractions and also the train station. The quality and details in the room were top notch. The welcoming common areas had a distinct architectural feeling of the golden age of Florence. We had a relaxing time in the, private, spa which was perfect for a relaxation after a day's walk around the city and the museums. Most of all, the people of Golden Tower Hotel were also well deserving of a 5* review. Helpful, pleasant, knowledgeable, they provided us with great information regarding the city, the spots, everything. Finally, we couldn't have asked for a better location. Golden Tower is in the heart of Florence. Actually, Golden Tower *is* the heart of Florence.

When we reached the hotel, the reception staff completely took over and contacted lost property to retrieve our luggage. An added surprise was the complementary bottle of Prosecco for my daughter! The staff are fantastic and they went above and beyond to make up for the difficult start to this journey The rooms are comfortable and clean and the location of the hotel is very convenient as all tourist attractions are within walking distance . I would recommend this hotel to everyone

The staff were incredibly accommodating and made my birthday feel special by bringing Prosecco to our room and providing a small cake at breakfast. We took advantage of the spa one afternoon and it was nice to have the area to ourselves. The breakfast was ample and there are many restaurants nearby.
